We had a "staycation" for my husband's birthday, and everything was great. The room was clean and fresh, the staff were all delightful, and we enjoyed time in the pool, as well as each restaurant and the casino! We decided on the "Stay & Play Package" and enjoyed every minute of it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The worst hotel experienced I ever had to think that this hotel is expensive but have an old furnitures, old looking hotel, Wi-Fi is slow, service is so bad except for the Filipino Front Desk Manager. So, on our first night I asked where can we reheat our food coz there is no microwave in our room, the front desk said we need to bring it at the front so they can reheat it and did not offer us a microwave or explain to us that we can request for it but it would be depends on the availability. But another room got a microwave when we passed by. Then in the morning at 8:35ish we called if we can request for disposable cuttleries, we got the fork and spoon at 9:03am so our breakfast was cold and my 2yrs old was hungry already. Went down to complaint nicely but the guy in the front desk has the audacity to answer back while I am upset on what happen and he said "I was busy helping here in the front that's why I did not bring it yet with a tone even her manager was trying to resolve the issue. I am not after for a gift card for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I want the management to talk to me and I hope they will make there service the way it should be. There is a lot of competition here in Calagary, there is a lot of hotel way cheaper, new place AND WITH FREE BREAKFAST.

My husband and I stayed there this weekend for our Anniversary and we were not disappointed. We booked the romance package and had a lovely time. The prime rib buffet was delicious and we also had the breakfast buffet the following morning. The staff were friendly and helpful and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. We will definitely be returning with the kids! 💜

I won a free 1 nights stay here from XL103. We chose to use it this past Saturday to celebrate my husbands birthday. We were comped a lovely bottle of wine to help celebrate once we arrived in our very clean and spacious king bed room. They made everything easy, effortless and special for us which was really appreciated. We were even able to enjoy the wonderful pool area with our family before enjoying our night out. We would absolutely book and stay here again! Awesome customer service, the room was nice, clean, spacious and well furnished. And the staff was all so accommodating and friendly! We also spent some time in the casino later in the evening which had my favourite slot machine game, so we were very happy all around! I recommend signing up for the winners edge players card to earn discounts and free play. There is also a swimming package we are going to look into more that includes access to the pool and a meal at the restaurant afterwards for $25 a person. Can’t wait to go back!

Was a wonderful stay…we stayed in a king suite enough room for a family of 4! Very spacious and beautiful! My children enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Best server at Mojave Grill was Jessica she helped us with our dinner and gave a better option to have the prime ribs buffet and it was great and sumptuous dinner for me, my husband and my grand daughter Sophie. The pool was the highlight of our stay as our granddaughter loved the amenities. Will surely comeback.

Have to give a big shout out to the Deerfoot Inn and Casino! Had an anniversary night away from home, and the protocols and care for patrons was exceptional. We have not spent a night away from home in a long time and had no worries or concerns here, and a very nice time away from home. Considering that a worry free moment was the most we were hoping for, the extra care and consideration given to us was actually very touching and appreciated. Thank you so much.

Very nicely greeted by the nice man Bricewho checked us in. Got lori and nicholas into the waterslides earlier. Amazing dinner. Decorated cookies. Very nice room. Nice and relaxing. Recommend you visit Deerfoot Inn.

Great water park. My kids could have spent hours in there. The guy at the front desk was friendly but not as knowledgeable as he could have been. Overall though a great experience with the winter package deal adding a nice Xmas touch.

We actually had a really great stay, and the staff at the front were very kind, so it’s unfortunate that I have to give a poor review. But, I have to, to only warn future customers, to check your credit card statements, even up to months after your stay. Twice now I have seen additional charges on my credit card statements after my stay. Most recently, being charged $63, three months later for breakfast that I could have only assumed was paid for in full, upon departure… After I called to find out what the charge was for, the front desk, admitted fault as they had just started a new computer system, also agreed that they should have at LEAST sent me an email, or some sort of communication warning me of an upcoming charge, but didn’t. And then in no way offered any sort of compensation, or even an apology. I was simply told that yeah “she should have let me know, that’s her bad”. That’s it. Absolutely ridiculous, and will unfortunately never make the mistake of staying here again.
A person should not have to monitor their credit card statements for months, after staying at a hotel. Outrageous.

Lots of freebies and nice touches, like real cream for coffee, Starbucks coffee, free snacks in the room (nearly unheard of), complimentary iPad in the room. Pool was great for kids and had great hours. Room service was good. We stay in a lot of hotels and we really liked this one.

We went there all the time to be entertained by the great staff and thoroughly enjoyed Silly Wrabbit… I’m not sure of complete details for you not having the band back but it’s really sad as this was very close to home and we had soooo much fun with these guys!
They have been playing there long enough that I’m sure you know them all personally and know they would never set out to intentionally hurt anyone or offend anyone! I feel that this was a huge mistake and I will not be back : (

They cancelled Silly Wrabbit, they were the best thing about that casino/hotel.

The hotel is ridicoulas went to book a room for night and we were paying cash they wanted a 1000 retainer if no credit card. When I questioned the deposit costthe check in girl was rude and should not be in customer service at all. We did not stay which ruined a very much needed night out.

Attended a work function for the first time here and was very pleasantly surprised! The banquet area is lovely, our room was very nice, we were able to easily regulate the temperature; food was awesome and staff was present but unobtrusive. Overall, a very positive experience at Deerfoot Inn.

This hotel is very convenient in terms of providing meeting rooms and for holding private brunch functions. I have never stayed in a room, but have been to many work and private functions there. The Mojave grill is a pretty decent restaurant. The casino is not bad, could use more low dollar blackjack tables and more craps tables.

This is a great casino in the city. Located just off of Deerfoot trail in the south, makes for easy access. Lots of drink carts rolling around. Slots are medium-loose. Lol. Really great staff. Super friendly. Some good shows here too, especially for classic bands.

Ate at the Mohave Grill restaurant located inside the inn. Reasonable prices and very very friendly service. Our waiter was funny, offered to help take pictures for our group, and even recommended a place for desserts once we made it clear we wouldn't be ordering from the restaurant. The food was great, and at a reasonable price. I had the prime rib (14oz), which was exceptional. If you're in the area on Fridays/Saturdays, then give this place a try for dinner!

Had a great night's sleep here! Room was quite and comfy. Overall the hotel is well kept and looks modern. With a great pub and restaurant and a spectacular buffet. Water park looked like fun for kids and was open late. Access to the casino from the front desk area is awesome aswell.

This review is based on my casino experience. I have had the opportunity to visit the different casinos in the Calgary area and Deerfoot comes it at the top with "the Elbow" a close second. The crew at Deerfoot can be described in one word — friendly! The pit-bosses look after the little things — making sure your beverages are fresh and answering any questions that you have. This is hard to find in the other casinos with the one exception mentioned above! For great food, a lively crew, an excellent array of games and overall great experience, Deerfoot Casino is your place to spend the evening!

Typical North American Hotel. Large rooms, King size beds… the staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurants and bars on site are at very affordable prices. Small free concerts on weekends in the Casino pub, in short a very nice stay.

Attended 80s night with Silly Wrabbit as the band. Was a great time! Band is great! They didn't take many breaks and they didn't break for very long. Played a lot of non stop music. We are already planning to attend the next 80s night in September.

This place is busy and they really know how to draw in a crowd. If you're going to gamble the more people playing it seems the better a person's chances of winning or breaking even. The Deerfoot is one of the busiest casinos because they advertise well and their innovative. People enjoy the 80's dance music parties, intimate band concerts and Friday $5000 dollar give aways. The staff are kind and accommodating. Lots of friendly smiles everywhere you look. We really like the people here, because they've been really good to us. Thank you!

This is a beautiful venue, we have provided wedding and event services there, from weddings to birthday party's, the food is excellent and the staff there are very friendly and helpful. Whenever our crew goes there set up for weddings and parties. The staff is so helpful. For any of your corporate party's, weddings, birthday party's.

Went to the casino to play some slots before heading to a movie. Huge parking lot however there must have been an event or two happening as it took several passes to find a spot. Casino is clean and modern with loads of machines plus tables and a poker room. Had a good time although luck wasn't on my side. Well staffed and easy to get a drink or cash in a win. Would return to play here again.

Spent the night here after a flames game, The flames didn't do so well but we had a blast at the casino after the game! The entertainment was awesome! We watched a band for a 2 pc band in the bar, slipped over to the lounge for some karaoke, and played some machines! Great place to stay!

This is a great hotel and casino. The conference rooms are large and spacious and the food and drink selection is amazing. The casino is very well kept and has very good flow for table games and machines. I really enjoy spending time here it is a very well-maintained facility. I would definitely recommend this place for a casual meal a weekend night on the town a good place for events or even for a business conference or large event.

This place is good for a small family get away. The pool has two hot tubs, a large slide and a toddler slide and a shallow toddler area. The casino is large for an Alberta casino. The staff was great and upgraded our room free of charge. The room was nice and well kept.

Less than luxury and very over-priced. Far less than a luxury hotel but far better than a motel. Some renovations done, but the hotel rooms definitely show it's age now. Rooms are clean though. Decent lunch buffet with a great selection of food. Conference rooms are fair sized and seemed pretty clean. Casino is ok, not too busy but also not a lot of choices besides a whole floor of slots.

Great service, Good venue for smaller concerts, cold drinks good food. I will definitely be back for the casino and for a show or 2.

Save your money and burn it in a pile… you'll get more entertainment value than what Deerfoot Casino offers. Hasn't been maintained since it opened and bathrooms are falling apart. Also with the constant changes to slot machines — the low/no paying tight movie-themed machines, and the addition of the automatic blackjack shufflers it is extremely hard to win anything anymore. Most casinos at least attempt to entertain you before they rob you but not Deerfoot. Seems to me that their motto is "We have a building… Give us money, pay for over-priced beer and leave. Do not pass go, give US $200 and go straight to bankruptcy".

Went to the Mohave Grill for lunch. I had the chicken fajitas, which we're quite good; the tortillas could have been softer — — they were a little stale near the edges. The overall flavour, however, was really good. Most of their lunch menu is above $14. There's lots of seeing inside, so it's good for groups; we had a group of 11.

We went to the wild horse pub last weekend and had a great time. Not really into gambling but we loved the live band playing in the pub. Drinks were resonable, food was ok, typical pub fair. It was kind of small with limited seating. We would go again but much earlier to get a better table.

We celebrated my son's 8th birthday party there, with pool party, lunch and cake at the Mohave Grill. Each child could choose their own meal, and they supplied the cake! Essentially we were the only ones in the pool (not sure if that's the norm or we just got lucky) so it felt really private. The party was super easy for us parents! Send out invites and show up! Easy peasy! The only small issue was that we had one boy who forgot a towel, and the hotel assured us they would have some in the change rooms but they were out… Completely out… It worked out in the end but the little boy was stressed and worried to swim. Overall, we'd go again and we'd recommend it to others.

Casino is always fun and FREE entertainment in the front bar have decent bands on Friday and Saturday nights. Some big names in the chrome room is where they have concerts. The food is just okay. I stayed at the hotel a couple of times once they gave us a key to a room that was already occupied, I walked in there and somebody was getting dressed right in front of me I thought he was going to come after me with a knife a little scary went back down to the front desk but they just laughed at it and gave us a regular room I thought they would do something for us but they wouldn't. A little bit pricey for what it is.

My company had our Christmas party here. The food and the service were excellent. I opted to get a room for the night. The room was very comfy and after a few drinks at the Christmas party I really appreciated the complimentary bottle of water left on the night stand. My girlfriend loved the no fog bathroom mirror for getting ready!

The facilities were used for an office holiday party and the venue was fantastic! The staff and the bar tender were polite and fast. The casino was also good to have as the night went on. Good times!

The buffet food was amazing, everything about it, especially the meat. The prime rib you could cut with a fork. Than there is the Turkey, I am usually always afraid to try Turkey because I usually find it's dry, but the Turkey they cooked here was by far the best Md so moist turkey I have ever had, and again, this was at the hotel buffet, I have been to many company Xmas parties over the years at a hand full of different hotel banquet halls, and the food was never this good. I highly recommend.

Nice size casino with friendly staff. There's plenty of slot machines and various tables on offer. I ate in the cafe and they had a great bacon and egg roll. The shepherds pie wasn't bad either.

Stayed here for one night with the family. One thing I have to say is the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Check in was a breeze as with check out. The pool was nice and wasn't busy when we were there. There is a kiddie pool and a few hot tubs. Also a water slide. Access is via the lobby but there is a change room with lockers, just bring you own lock. Pool is open till midnight, which was nice. The room was a standard king size with a pull out bed. It fit 2 adults and 3 kids. It was a clean room, in room fridge and Keurig coffee maker. Walls seem pretty sound proofed. Decor is a bit on the dated side, but overall felt relaxing. Dinner at the Mo she grill was excellent. Food was prepared and presented very beautifully. Service was also exceptionally friendly, especially to my kids. In the end we were able to thank the chef as well. I would recommend this hotel.

Fun, full of machines but the money goes very fast.

It's a nice venue with fantastic stuff, especially in the restaurant. They have probably the best gluten-free menu in the city, if that's your bag. Sadly, the only beer available is in bottles, and is a bit pricey. And it's hard to just get a glass of water somewhere. And the taxicabs outside need a little bit of wrangling so they don't block traffic. Send a service to walk you to your car if it's late tonight would be helpful. I like to try to rent it for an event once, but the price is out of range for hotels of that quality level. Overall, a good venue for events, if pricey.

Rented a room for Saturday night and love the fact that there's a poker room right downstairs. Ran good on the tables and made a few hundred dollars which covered the room so basically the night was free. Can't complain about that and I'll be back sooner than later. Till then I'll let someone else win the money.

We visited for a child's birthday party at the pool, and dinner at the restaurant. The staff were very good with the kids and they enjoyed dinner. Apparently the cake was very good as well. Lobby was lovely, bathrooms were spotless.

I recently came here for the dinner buffet at the Mohave Grill. It was quite good, consisting of salads, Mac n cheese, ribs, steamed veggies, prawns, etc. There was also all you can eat prime rib, of which I had two servings. The food was quite good overall, with the exception of the Mac n Cheese. Unfortunately it was rather dry, and it didn't have alot of melted cheese within. Aside from this, the meal was quite good overall, and the prime rib was definitely one of the better ones I have had at an all you can eat buffet. I should also mention that it costs around $30 for the adults, and $15 for the kids. Overall, the experience was pretty good, and I'm sure I'll be back in the future for another buffet from here.

It's always been a great place to go I'm not a big fan of a casino the food is usually quite good service is really good. The reason I didn't give it a full five stars is when I was there with a guest for a meeting at the restaurant they were doing some surface cleaning of the tiles and the odor was so pungent that we asked to be moved twice in the restaurant because of the inability to eat or enjoy the food. Otherwise we can highly recommended the rooms are good service is great entertainment was good and if you like casinos you'll like this.

I was here for an all company meeting. This is a great venue for corporate meetings. They did an excellent job with the breakfast the provided (breakfast burritos; egg, ham and English muffin sandwiches; assorted muffins; danishes; and coffee). I have always enjoyed the company meetings at this venue. Meeting rooms (event rooms) are large and spacious and well lit. I would recommend this location.

I keep getting spam calls from the Casino that I never consented to and when you call them back they are really rude and say that you have to wait for them to call you again and press option 8. The lady I spoke to today from customer service was so rude and not helpful at all. She hung up on me for asking a simple question. I would like to know where they bought my phone number from.

Went to watch the fight Saturday night. Not sure what was going on but the lineup moved incredibly slow. A staff member came through the lineup to say 'somewhere near here' the room will be at capacity and you might just want to watch in the casino. We did get in but was SRO by then. Went to Mohave Grill and I'd recommend they buy their racks of ribs from Costco. Food was not good but they did let us return the half rack of ribs $19.99. Thinking that's a bit pricy for half rack when there wasn't any meat on the bones. Waitress asked if we wanted something else and we had to tell her we needed the menu to decide. I would not eat there again.

We attended a child's birthday party there. The pool and changeroom facilities were incredible, way better than I'd expect from a hotel. The kids had a blast. The restaurant was nice, though the service was a little slow because it was busy and I did feel the menu was limited. The whole place was beautiful and very well kept.

My friend was a guest there and he invited me and a couple other people to the pool. The pool was a blast and I really enjoyed myself. After we decided to get something to eat. The service was a little slow hence why I only rated it 4 stars but the food was fantastic. The portions are great for what you pay for which is rare in a casino these days. Overall it was a great time and I would go there again just for that amazing Habanero Burger.

We saw a concert in the chrome room which was nice, the front deck staff had our tickets and we're friendly as well as professional. The ladies putting on wrist bands we're also just as good. We had some pretty show drinks and pub food in the on-site pub which claimed the have some of the best lunch food in Calgary… Not sure about that. The food was just OK, but man in some of their other dining options it would be better. Again the service was not to bad as it was pretty busy in there pre show. Overall we would go back but likely eat elsewhere in the hotel or off site.

This is one of my favorite places to hang out! The Play & Stay Package is me and hubby's go-to when we need a staycation. It's great to see a concert in the chrome room, get a great prime rib dinner (thank you for adding garlic mash to the buffet), load up on cocktails and then have a great hotel room to settle in! AND you have Nathan's hot dogs for our late night snack! I find the staff super friendly and accommodating as well. Keep bringing in great acts and we'll keep coming :)

I was attending a private poker tournament at the casino, and I had a great time. Staff were professional, the food was tasty. The event was for a bachelor party, so our group even got a little loud and carried away, but the staff were friendly and professional and things worked out great.

Great concert venue. With the cleanest and most easily accesible bathrooms. The staff will actuall bring you drinks if you dont want to wait in line at the bar. Great service.

I go to Deerfoot regularly to play poker. In my opinion they have one of the best, if not the best poker room in Calgary. It is well ran by the poker room manager and theyhave the best dealers in town. The various poker tournament series they run throughout the year are all well run and provide great competition. The only downside is the food. Overall the food is not a good value. It is not well made and not great tasting. For such a large casino you think they would have 5 star food but instead the food is 2 stars at best. Needs improvement.

I stayed 2 nights in regular King size bed room in Deerfoot Inn. Their service, personnel, cleanliness was great. Also they have pool, fitness center (not only treadmills but some weight workout machines as well). Also there are 2 restaurants in the premises. Both recommended. Casino is the bonus. Recommended.

Attended the Easter Sunday brunch. The food and service was excellent. I was impressed with the quality and selection of food choices. Service was fast and friendly. At times the flow was a bit disorganized but not enough to detract from the positive experience.

Excellent service by staff. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and of excellent quality. This was my 2nd time there and will return. Definitely will recommend to family and friends.

NOT RECOMMENDED! Awful experience, went there for a volleyball tournament and the first 5 minutes after arriving the staff was awfully rude and did not make me feel welcome whatsoever. The whole weekend was terrible, with lack of customer service and dirty looks from the front desk people. It would've been nice if after a long day of playing volleyball I could've went back to the hotel and relax but it was the complete opposite. I would never stay here again!

Good service for the most part, but the slots never give anything up. The overall feeling about the place has changed since it first opened. Staff are happy and fast with drinks.

Absolutely worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was walking in with my fiances uncle and a group of our friends and family behind us. The bouncer stopped us and with out a reason said we couldn't come in, after some arguing he finally claimed that we were too intoxicated to come in. We were not drunk, we were not stumbling, we were talking quietly to each other about a 50th birthday party we had just left. We asked if we could speak to a manager and he tried to say that they would say the same thing. He was extremely rude to us. Our group of 15 people asked if we could speak to a manager, instead of complying with our request a bunch of bouncers surrounded us and told us to leave. I could not believe how we were treated. We walked around the corner and my fiance's uncle took a cab home, my aunt ended up speaking with the manager and they finally admitted that they made a mistake, but it was to late. They ruined our night and proceed to watch our whole group like hawks for the rest of the night like we were criminals. I will never ever spend my money here again, disgusted with how we were treated.

First time to this casino. The facility is very nice. The atmosphere was very energetic. The food in the pub was excellent. The table dealers were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely return in the future!

I was there to meet a colleague for coffee at the Mojave Grill. Service was adequate, the restaurant was very clean. The coffee was tasty.

They hosted our company Christmas party for 250+ people with a delectable buffet which was consistently refreshed with a wide variety of food with quite possibly one of the best beet salads I had ever had. I previously worked in Hospitality in the front of house for over 10 years, so I know exactly what a high level of service means and the Deerfoot Inn and Casino provided exactly that. I look forward to to next year!

The Deerfoot Casino is certainly the nicest casino in the city of Calgary. Very clean, fun and the staff are SO friendly! They also have a great rewards program! I will definitely be going back!

Enjoyed our stay in king room. Nice ambience overall in the room. The reception was super friendly. Only thing is the prices are little high. 180 for my room when it is off season but other than that room is really well maintained and the view from room is really nice. The appropriate price in my opinion will be 130.

Saw Kreskin last night — he definitely lowered the bar on a prior childhood memory. Now, he's a rude unsophisticated old man. Kicking a patron out of the show? Come on….

The chrome show room on New Years Eve for the Trooper show sucked. It was way over packed. Getting a drink was next to impossible. The price of $104 for a ten song set was outrageous. Won't be doing that again.

We came here Friday night for a girls night out and we had a blast. Fun place to check out that is a bit different then the usual thing.

This is the BEST hotel I have ever stayed at. The kids loved the pool/water slides. Very friendly staff and a comfortable stay. Very clean and we'll kept. Family friendly and quiet even with casino and concerts. The only reason I didn't give this hotel 5 stars is there is no continental breakfast and the breakfast buffet is over priced. Complimentary bottled water and cookies in your room. Overall the greatest hotel I have stayed in. I will be back for sure.

We have been to the Deerfoot Inn many many times over the past few years for concerts and for New Year's Eve shows. Always had a great time. The buffet is always great. The dining room is busy but the waitresses do their best and no complaints. The casino is well kept. The Chrome room is great for concerts and the bartenders and waitresses manage to keep up with all the patrons. Not once have we had a bad experience. Highly recommend.

(Deerfoot Inn and Casino — Calgary) : If you plan to attend a concert event at Deerfoot Inn and Casino, (Chrome room), think again, and just know that it totally SUCKS! We're not that fussy, but this place is beyond ridiculous. The stage is super small, sound is bad, room itself is very small and everyone / everything is jammed in there like packed sardines, 2 bars squeezed in at the back and no room for people to line up without causing major crowding in walk-ways and aisles and drinks spilled on you. If you're anywhere but up front, (which seems to be reserved seating only) its very hard to see band also with CONSTANT flow of people walking up and down, back and forth, to the bar, to the casino, etc which disrupts your view also. Very hot and stuffy, crappy service by waitresses? — girls with name tags walking about with drink trays, but more interested in stopping to chat and party with friends in audience-not really sure what their actual purpose is, cheap uncomfortable chairs. On and on. Major disappointment. More like a very low grade party room in someone's basement with live band playing, not an actual concert event atmosphere at all. We will never go to another concert/event there again.
