Good rooms, though train whistle sound at night can be a bit annoying for some — our trip schedule was pretty packed so we didn't have time to tried out any hotel facilities sadly.
Still a recommend from me though.

This is a good place to stay if you’re planning to spend most of your time out exploring lakes and the Banff area. It’s also close to some restaurants and not too far from downtown Banff. It’s not a five-star hotel, but it’s comfortable and will get you through your stay in Banff. If you’re on a budget and just looking for a place to rest after a day of exploring, this is a solid option.
We stayed in a suite with two beds that comfortably fit 4 people and a dog. We were able to eat in the room with no problems other than sometimes needing to sit on the floor because there is only one chair, and we had a really good time overall. Of course, don’t expect a five-star luxury vibe, but if you’re mainly looking for a comfortable place to stay while exploring Banff, it does the job.

I stayed here April 30th — may 2nd 2026 in room 119 and had a bad and scary experience with my room. Both nights I had made sure to close and lock the door, however when I woke up my door was not only unlocked but also open slightly which was very unsettling. I’m not sure if it was an employee but this is really concerning and should not be happening 2 nights in a row. Also our room was never cleaned or given new towels the whole time. Good location.

We stayed here in the winter, and the heating in the room was basically not working. The room was uncomfortably cold. The bathroom was very small, with almost no space to move. The underground parking was also disappointing — very limited parking spots and no elevator access, making it difficult to transport luggage.

Excellent location and rooms clean and tidy. Shame about the guest who after a week were loud and rude. First 4 nights were kids running the halls playing ice hockey. Parents had no control or care about their teenagers behaviour. Staff failed to address the issue saying it was before 11pm. Then woken by drunken neighbouring guests at 3am. Very disappointed in the Canadian locals who have no respect for others.

Great location, comfortable and clean — we really enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

It's easily walkable around downtown. Rooms a good, clean and quiet. Only downside is parking a pickup truck is a challenge but don't let that deter you.

Very disappointed with this hotel. Several issues:
1) Ice machine didn’t work. Front desk offered no information as to where the ice machine was when we checked in. We had to search and found it on the main floor (we were on the second floor and there wasn’t one) only to find it didn’t work. Upon check out we found out there was another machine on the third floor which would have been nice to know.
2) Underground parking car door didn’t work half the time. We would constantly have to reverse up the tiny driveway because the door wouldn’t open.
3) The first time we used the microwave the breaker blew to the whole room and we couldn’t use any of the appliances or outlets until they flipped the breaker.
4) Hot tub was supposed to open at nine but didn’t and we had to call down to front desk and ask to get someone to open it.
5) Hot tub was a tiny six seater that really only comfortably sat four people.
6) front desk person upon checkout seemed to not care at all about any of our concerns and went as far as to make excuses for the issues.
7) Coffee at the restaurant in the sister lobby was $5, there was no complimentary coffee for hotel guests. This is a big no for me as I leave the room at 6am and sit in the lobby so my friend doesn’t wake up. I like to have a coffee while I watch the sunrise.
We travel to Banff every year and try different hotels. The only thing going for this hotel was it was close to all the shops and the beds were very comfortable.

Simple and clean location on the main strip of Banff. Everything is walking distance.
One fault, if the streets are noisy you can hear it. More so than the average place.
But they weren’t for us so a none issue at all for us.

Great place! Room was huge and spacious. Has a coffee machine, microwave and a mini fridge. Seems essential enough.
Also included a mini balcony overlooking the back parking lot.
Service seems great! Front desk was amazing to talk to and really friendly.
Only a little inconvenient as the front desk was located next door in the other building. Might be a little confusing to first time guests, and annoying since the weather might be a little bad. It was snowing when we were here, so you get the drift.
Attached restaurant was also not bad.
Location however was fantastic! Just a short stroll to downtown. Good place overall! I recommend staying here!

I was a day late due to a flight cancellation and the hotel was very understanding. They did not give my room away or charge me for the first night — I did book with a third party though so was a bit challenging communicating via third party so I recommend booking with the hotel directly. Room was clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious and in a great location.

Having stayed here for two nights, the room was fantastic — spacious, bright with high ceilings, and containing lots of surfaces for luggage and belongings. The front desk is in the neighbouring building up the driveway. Also, it was difficult to find the main parking lot (behind the inn), leading me to park underground, which had very low ceilings.

This is a fairly basic / standard hotel but does everything it needs to do. It was clean, check in was next door but straight forward. The location is excellent and a good place to stay after a long / busy day.

We couldn’t ask for anything better. The hotel is in a prime location. The rooms were renovated and clean. The staff next door at Irwin’s went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed. Parking included & kid friendly. Can’t forget the small view of the mountain from our room! I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Banff!

My friend and I just returned from a fantastic 5 day trip to Banff. We stayed at the Red Carpet Inn. The location was terrific, the view from our deck was lovely and the hotel staff were very helpful. It is not fancy but worked perfectly well for us. We were serviced by the staff next door at Irwin's Inn and they were fabulous! I highly recommend staying at the Red Carpet Inn.

It was fine for a single night’s stay.
Room was decent, shower pressure was good.
It would’ve been nice to have a chair or two in the balcony. The card reader on the vending machine wasn’t working. And it was kind of irritating that the hot tub closes at 9 pm, as we had gotten back from a day of skiing, went for dinner and got back a bit late, but would have loved a dip in the hot tub before bed.

I was positively surprised with the hotel. Is not fancy but the location and service make every penny worth it. The room was really good, with a view for the mountain. They offer amazing products from a local soap store as amenities. They gave us a voucher for the public bus (routes 1 and 2), and that was a great incentive for tourists traveling without a car.
