Rustiek Hotel

We didn't stay at the Rustiek Hotel, but instead opted for a three-hour safari cruise on the river.
Nei, the receptionist who looked after us, was very kind and welcoming.
The departure pier for the cruise is located just behind the hotel, which is very convenient.
Tyro, the captain, always strives to navigate as close as possible to the wildlife, while respecting safe distances. As for Gofaone, our guide, he has extensive knowledge of the animals we saw on our excursion and was able to answer all our questions.

I'm from Poland. I have been traveling across Africa for quite a long time, and this was the best hotel I have stayed in. The people here are truly wonderful!
The room is beautiful, very well thought out, modern, and has everything you need. It is also VERY CLEAN.
You can really feel that the staff genuinely want the best for you sincerely and naturally, not just because it is their job. They can also help you organize different activities such as boat trips (which depart literally from the hotel), safaris, and more. They are very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast is large and warm: chicken, eggs, beans, toast, cereal, yogurt, pancakes, fruit, and more.
The hotel has its own restaurant, and if someone prefers, there are also other good restaurants nearby. There is also a large supermarket and other shops close by.
The hotel has direct access to the river, so you can sit and relax by the water.
There is hot water and a very clean swimming pool.
I highly recommend this place and I will definitely come back! :)

Rustiek hotel has a great location with great views. I could see the vision they were aiming for with the rooms, don't get me wrong it is unique but they may have slightly gone off trail when trying to execute the vision. My first room did not have a working aircon so I was upgraded to one of the better rooms as can be seen in the pics. The room was great though it had an open bathroom upstairs and trying to use the bath was very difficult as it was cramped and water would fall on the floor. The shower downstairs was great but a bit uncomfortable as it's in the open in the kitchen. Fine if you're travelling alone or as a couple. Breakfast was disappointing as they didn't have tea or normal coffee, only rooiboss tea and decaff coffee. The rooms also only had this selection but with no kettle to make tea. I also felt the rooms should include a microwave as their design clearly shows a spot for a microwave.
The staff were extremely helpful and accomodating. I would like to thank Tchaza, Kabo and Thabiso! You guys were great and tried to do as much as you possibly could.

The hotel itself is lovely, but let down by incompetent staff. Usually when you stay somewhere for multiple nights you end up feeling like family, however here we felt like an inconvenience. The only reliable staff member was Tabisu, who gave us excellent customer service, keeping us updated when our dinner was delayed and ensuring that we received takeaway breakfast for our early game drive.
Every other staff member told us conflicting information (e. G. Yes you have more drinking water for free / no you have to pay for it) and messed up our restaurant orders every time. We were even disturbed at night by staff asking to use our remote for another guest’s TV! When we asked reception staff simple questions, such as about airport transfers/taxis, they would become extremely flustered and say “I’ll get back to you” (which they didn’t). In fact, when we paid our bill one staff member seemed to emphasise her own unhelpfulness as she said, “So have you figured out a way to the airport yet? ”
It is such a shame as the hotel itself has new smart TVs, great air conditioning, modern finishes, a lovely pool and garden and river views. Probably good for a night but all the difficult staff interactions really compounded when staying multiple nights in a row, especially considering the high price!

Clean rooms, I loved floating rooms on chobe river such a good experience. They have a big terrace facing the river. Staff is friendly and service is top notch. Menu has a lot of variety to choose from… all in all I personally recommend the place, just right in town and you can walk to the shops, bank, bust rank. No need for a tax. 7 minutes drive to kasane airport. Activities available too.

This is by far the best destination spot I been in kasane the rooms are super immaculate, the room service was on point.

Tranquil place for a much needed getaway from the hustle and bustle of the stressful urban life. So serene. Service was good too as hotel staff made sure our stay was pleasant and they were kind and courteous at all times.

This hotel is nothing short of amazing. I went there in December with my family and we got a really nice family room with an enormous xxxl bed 😂 I’d never seen it anywhere else… it was really convenient for us… from the amazing hospitality of the stuff, excellent location right next to the shopping center, river bank with breathtaking sunset! I hope I get the same kind of service next time I travel to Kasane.

Lovely place. Paid attention to detail. The staff go above and beyond to cater for all your needs. The food was very delicious. Had ribs and chips. I fully.

Best thing about the hostel is the floating rooms and the back garden. Had the privilege to tour the area and it's excusite even before completion.

Our stay at Rustiek Hotel was pure magic! The location is unbeatable, with rooms right on the Chobe River. The staff were amazing — friendly, helpful, and truly passionate about the wildlife of the area. We loved the game drives and boat cruises, with incredible wildlife sightings. Dining under the stars was the perfect end to each day. Rustiek Hotel exceeded our expectations — a true gem for an unforgettable safari experience!

Absolutely beautiful. The only A-frame in Africa. My two days there were memorable. Best pancakes as well.
