Chobe River Cottages

We enjoyed it very much. It is absolutely the Best Family Cottages with a view of Chobe river, and close to all of the most important places in Kasane.

The cottages are very modern and clean. It has all cutlery etc needed for preparing own meals as well as a braai. It is within walking distance from shops, restaurants and boating stations in Kasane and a great place to stay to feel the vibe and culture of the area. There is a pool on site and a private viewing deck on the Chobe river. We should have stayed longer than just one night.

Lovely clean rooms and friendly staff. Just that the town is a little isolating — nowhere else to visit and self-catering is a challenge. The SPAR down the road has no fresh produce of any edible quality and the one restaurant, buys from the SPAR so same result in food.

Great place to stay while in Kasane! The women at the front desk were so wonderful and helped me plan my days while here. Rooms are clean and full of amenities. Pool was great. Viewing deck of the river was enjoyable. Outdoor patio and dining area was also excellent. Would definitely stay here again!

The cottages are conveniently situated near the local Spar, restaurants and boat departures. Gardens are lush and well maintained with a nice pool to break the heat. Parking are behind an electric gate and there was a night guard on duty, so very safe.
A nice touch was the turn down service that prepared the sleeper couch while we were on an afternoon river cruise. This does make the lounge a bit tight, but luckily there is a lovely covered patio with a table and 4 chairs where we enjoyed our meals. The kitchen is well equipped with a big fridge, 2 plate stove, microwave and most utensils you can think of. We had our own "braai" (barbecue) just outside our kitchen door.

We were a party of three and knew it might be a bit tight, but we had a very comfortable stay. Nice surprise to get back after dark from a boat cruise and find that the sleeper couch has already been made up for a good night's rest.
Bedroom is a bit tight if you're not a couple (twin beds) but it has both a ceiling fan and aircon.
Bathroom is spacious with a good size shower, plenty of hot water and good pressure.
Kitchen is well appointed with big fridge and enough utensils, 2 plate stove and microwave. The back door led to our own barbecue area.
Chobe river cottages is right in the heart of Kasane with all amenities within walking distance.

Each small self contained cottage had an outside front dining table, OK size lounge area, well equipped kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. Good hot water, air conditioning and Wi-Fi. The rear yard has a braii but strangely no seating to eat there. Not that you'd really want to with the view being a large concrete wall. Al-so disappointing was the swimming pool. Obviously too small to swim, just sitting in a cool pool with 38c would have been nice but the dirty dusty steps and debris surrounding the pool and on the pool surface and bottom just didn't look inviting, a pity at US$150 a night.

Chobe River Cottages situated in a great location, excellent service, place is clean and well kept. However, I think too small for 3 people. Fine for 2 Adults.

Pricey if you are just looking for a room for the night, but would be good for self-caterers as it has everything you need.
Good location with Cafe Buzz almost next door, and the One Stop Pizza' a few minutes walk.

Everything was very good, staff friendly, helpful and place was clean and tidy. The spacing of the cottages are not the best, there are 6 cottages, reception and parking on a nor. Al stand. Good value for money considering the location.

We were pleasantly surprised by these spacious apartments and the lush garden surrounding the property. Conveniently located to transport for exploring the park by boat or jeep. The area immediately outside the property gates is grim but the cottages are tranquil. Love a pool soak at the end of a hot day.

We had a great 3 night stay. The cottages are perfectly equipped, the location just a few walking minutes from the Spar make it very convenient and the platform overlooking the Chobe is perfect for sundowners if you are not on a cruise. The team helped us with all our queries; booking a Chobe river cruise, calling taxis and organising our transfer to the Zim border.

We loved our two night stay at Chobe River Cottages. It was really centrally located, right by a SPAR where you could pick up food. The staff were very friendly and organised for us to go on a day trip to Victoria falls, which was amazing. The air conditioning was wonderful too. Just what we needed!

Very nice, clean and spacious cottages, self catering. The neighbouring cottages are quite near, but you still gave a sense if privacy and quiet (unless the neighbours stay up late talking loud 😬). Highlight: the connected lookout on the chobe, few meters away. Staff perfect, very happy.

We really enjoyed our stay at Chobe River cottages. The 1 bedroom unit was very clean and nice with lots of space for 3 people. The kitchen was well equipped for us to prepare some meals. It had a nice veranda with outdoor sitting overlooking the courtyard. The pool was nice to cool off in on a hot day. There is a deck overlooking the river behind the property where you can watch the sunset. The location is great, its right in town within easy walking distance of the shops, bank and restaurants. KB was very helpful doing our laundry, booking us a boat tour and restaurant for dinner as well as a taxi to the Kazungula border crossing when we left as we were heading to Livingstone. Overall, I highly recommend it.
