Cottages in KasaneCottage

River View Lodge lives up to it's name, beautifully situated beside the river Chobe. The gardens are very attractive with masses of birdsong and visits from mongooses.

We stayed one night following a safari. This was a lovely place with warm and welcoming staff. It was a bit far out of Kasane so we had prebooked the dinner.

We camped here for one night on our way out of chobe.
The good: ablutions are great. Hot water, good pressure, clean — though not designed for tall people.

Wow! Our guide Rowinda was amazing. He knew all the spots to find the animals. Lion, lioness with cubs, impala, Kudo mother nursing her baby, cougar, black face Jackal, hyena, elephants to name a few.

The place has two-bedroom apartments, which offer comfortable stay in a natural setting with a friendly staff at reasonable prices and being not too far from attractions in Kasane and Kazungula.

Place was clean, comfortable and spacious. There was Wi-Fi, tv, hot shower, warm and comfortable beds. Definetly value for money and close to the Kazungula border.

A great base for our group safaris in Chobe National Patk.
The path to the rooms/chalets is through a luxuriant jungle pulsating with birdlife.

The best thing about Kwalape is the 15 minute proximity to the park and the river.

We stayed in Nxabii during the rainy (off season) and were able to book the cottages last minute.
We found the rooms to be clean, well equipped, and comfortable.

Because of the bad weather, we stayed here in the cottage twice for two nights; otherwise we spent four weeks in a 4x4 Hilux with a rooftop tent.
