The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was lovely. Had a water view. Breakfast great Stayed one night before going on the Spirit of Tasmania. Couldn't ask for anything better. Thanks Edgewater.

Was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. I thought it was a bikie pub. We will be back.

Rooms were big, has a nice view. Close to everything. And easy parking access.

We stayed 2 nights in an Executive Spa room 12-14 February 2018 with a patio onto the river. Sure looks like 3 star but this room had everything lounge area, sink, small fridge, toaster, and some dishes you could stay here a week. Loved the space clean and tidy large rooms super size double bed bathroom double basin space and spa. We ate in the bistro both nights good size meals I do not agree with comments of others on meal size and price very reasonable. What we loved was the water taxi out front across the river to the mall shopping, runs from 730am on demand max wait time 4 minutes $2.50 per ride. Saves on 3 km drive and finding a park. Enjoyed watch the Princess of Tasmania and freighters navigate in the 100k/hr wind on Thursday. We will always come back here on our next visit, being touring mainland retirees.

Happy with our stay here, stayed in a large upstairs room. Parking seems to be the only issue as first in or park on the street. The evening meal was tasty, nice breakfast to get your day started. Friendly staff.

Very nice food with large portions, we were struggling to finish. The atmosphere is nice, with the tables spaced apart well so you feel private with your conversations.

We took one o the reps for a meal after having a great meals previously. This time the quality was good but only child size portions. (we left hungry) I like to give honest feedback and pointed this out, only to be told that management was trying to cut costs. (I take it you rely on tourists that are unlikely to return)

I visited this venue on 13th/14th October 2017 and must say that some of the staff that work there are the most incompetent I have ever met. Reception and the Bar workers are not friendly and have an "I couldn't care less attitude"! I wont be back and will not recommend your business to my company.

Great Budget Motel. The staff are really friendly, although clearly busy every night when the spirit of Tasmania comes in. It looks very close to the dock on the map, but you actually have to walk/drive the long way around, so it's about 10-15 minutes walk. Very close to the IGA, but not many local food options available that are open past 8 p. M. The staff were very helpful with suggestions of where to eat though! The bathrooms are recently renovated as well. I would say the accommodation was what was expected for the price.

Nice enough place. Different types of rooms for different budgets. Has a nice restaurant and Bar as well as a pokies area.

This is about our 6th visit to the Edgewater. If you can afford a room on the upper level… go for it. Bottom rooms need some tlc. But it's convenient. Brekky is ok… evening meals are really quite good.

One star for the food. Excellent. One for being upgraded. Our room wasn't clean 2nd room better but not by much and only upgraded because l said I was leaving.

Decent pub. Has pokies. Fair prices drinks. No lunch menu.

Edgewater has a nice feel to it comfy. Staff were so amazing and nice. Great to go for a run after. The only thing that let me down was an empty mini bar when I was craving coke.

The budget room are dog boxes not even a table to sit at inside or probably to get you into the smelly pub which we found on our overnight say we only stayed there as it was next door to the Spirit of Tasmania not again.

Im ok with room. Lovely staff, good food at the hotel … They time you with free Wi-Fi. Very poor.

Stopped there for breakfast straight off the Spirit of Tasmania with my toddler & partner. Good buffet. Fresh fruit and pastries. Cereal options. Juice and hot drinks. They have high chairs. For basic good food it's a great place.

Rooms were pretty good, service was great and parking was at the door. The motel it's self appears dated. Noisy outside from the Spirit terminal. Meal was nice. Worth staying if you have an early departure to Melbourne via the Spirit of Tasmania 1 or 2.

No dinner, no Wi-Fi, terrible service, shitty little motel that claims to be a hotel but smells like piss and isn't fit for animals let alone human beings. Save yourself the trouble, stay across the water in a proper hotel like the Argosy.

I stayed here due to the proximity to the Spirit of Tasmania terminal and based on reviews expected a decent hotel but boy was I wrong. I'll try to sum it up in point form; * This is a 1 star MOTEL not a 4 star hotel as advertised. * The room had an overwhelming stench of urine — we had to sleep with the bathroom fan operating through the night and it still smelled. * No toiletries provided apart from a single shower cap, including a half used toilet paper roll that was simply folded to look new. * Poorly lit — no light switches for any lights apart from one, which points directly into a mirror so causes terrible glare. * Dust — dust everywhere. * No television remote control. * Noisy and rowdy occupants in adjacent rooms — people were gathered on lawn chairs drinking and smoking, being loud and disruptive until midnight. One even attempted to enter my occupancy in the middle of the night. * Dangerous and extremely narrow driveway for entry/exit. * Rude and arrogant staff — when issues were addressed to them, we were simply told "oh, guess you had a bad night" by receptionist Sandra. It is, in essence, a 1 star motel bolted onto the back of a pub. I could not recommend this establishment to anyone, no matter their budget. You'll be better off staying anywhere else in Devonport or nearby towns. You'd infact be better off sleeping in your car.

Modest as stated in the description, however the king size bed was great, the room was clean and fairly spacious, and staff were helpful and accommodating. The rooms were soundproofed as we didn't hear noise from other guests. It's a bit pricey for the type of hotel it is, but that's what you get for being so close to the ferry terminal.

Closest accommodation to the boat. Good if you come over on the day boat as you don't have to look hard for it. It is basic though. Guess you get what you pay for.

This is a motel not a hotel. Yes it has a pub, so yes a bar and bistro but it is not what I would classify as a "hotel". The room is cleanish, court yard is the car park and is overpriced by about $30/ night. This is a motel. Great photography on brochure and Web but not what you think when you get here. Why not be honest. Call it what it is. A motel.

Service was disappointing, the food over priced and far from a quality meal.

If you are embarking from the ship, this is a perfect place to stay for the first night, a little over priced for what you get, the restaurant was handy, the food was disappointing.
