Nightmare on Elm Street. Came here for a relaxing few days, not what we got. Husband called beforehand and advised I could not do steps as I am disabled. We got a step going into the back of the building, overlooking a brick wall. Inside the unit discovered, 2 large steps up to the toilet! Wondered why the floor was damp, put that down to cleaning. Wrong, all night the floor was soaking wet as the plumbing from the sink in the unit was leaking. Having to wear callipers made this a Health and safety nightmare to say the least. Then the last straw were the brothers called COCKROACHES now having a party in the room. No sleep as you can imagine. In the morning my husband approached owner, who was an ex lawyer, had all the answers but none of them right. Responded by saying, its only a few steps, or if she climbs upstairs 8 more steps, it's flat at the top!. As for the 2 other issues, his response was, 'I did the plumbing, will get someone out, and I did the rodents'. No accountability whatsoever. No care, his wife on the other hand did offer some kind of apology. My advice here, keep on driving. Had you advised my dear kind husband that your building was 'not fit for the purpose', as it was a 40 year old building, clearly not suitable for elderly or people with challenges, then we could have made an honest and informed choice. But because you failed to offer 'fULL TRANSPARENCY', when the booking was made with yourself, not your wife, then this situation could have been avoided.

We stayed for 5 nights and we really loved it! From the very first day, our host Ross let us check-in an hour early even though the actual hour is from 2pm (Saved from having to drag our luggages around! ). Our room was large enough for 2 people, it was clean and had most of the amenities needed on daily basis. The room did not have a kitchen (no stove/oven), but there was a microwave so we could re-heat leftovers! The best part of Camden Motor Inn, we would probably say is the fact that it is located halfway between Surfers Paradise and Burleigh Head. We walked to both places on different days in just over an hour beach walk. (You can also just walk along the houses/Gold Coast Highway if beach walk is not your thing ^^) We would love to come back if we could! Thank you Ross and Jac :)

Only putting one star because I have to. Reserved booking previous day and stated check-in was up till 12am, when arrived at the motel at 8:30-9 reception was closed management finally came out and was extremely drunk and rude. Just ended up leaving and found a better place down the road. There was nothing staying payment was due on booking, and that my booking would be cancelled if I couldn't answer my phone. I had also called tried calling to contact owner over 10 times and no answer? Poor management.

We stayed 2 nights excellent! Everything you need was already in the room, very clean and affordable the owner was accomodating and friendly. Very recommened. Cheers! …

Just loved it. Rooms were clean, linen was spotless, beds were comfy and all basic amenities were included. Owners have attention to details. Kids just loved swimming pool. And so close to beach and variety of restaurants to choose from including 24 hour convenience store, just at the door step. 10 out of 10.

Its okay. Keeping in view what they charged I thought it would be a big hotel but it was small. The rooms were okay not bad. There is parking available in the basement and a swimming pool but small one. The staff was nice.

Decent location. Needs updating and is over priced. Friendly staff.

Highly recommend! We only stayed a night but we wished we could have stayed longer. We called pretty late and they still accommodated us. They were very helpful and understanding. The room was nice and roomy. The bed was comfortable, they had cups and dishes which was super cool.

Great welcome by Ross, wouldn't mind staying there next time I visit Gold Coast. Great value for the pocket!

Ross was extremely friendly and happy to help us. Even giving us dining and breakfast recommendations. We arrived quite late & needed an overnight stay as we got in to GC 1 day earlier than our existing accommodation was booked for. (Tried to check in a day early but the price was ridiculous! ) Price at Camden Motor Inn was very reasonable for 4 adults, beds were comfy and the room was equipped with everything we could need. Would definetly recommend! ☆☆☆☆☆

We came in late on a flight and needed an overnight stop en-route to Brisbane. The Camden Motor Inn were only too happy to accommodate us checking in out of hours. The room was simple but clean and very quiet and more importantly allowed our family to be in the one area so that we could keep an eye on our young children. Off street parking was also a bonus. We would highly recommend the Camden to families and will look forward to staying here on our next trip.

Comfortable enough with everything you need. TV, aircon, shower and toilet plus internet. Even a pool and parking. Just a bit pricey at $140 and no Wi-Fi.

A bit dated but reasonably close to many restaurants and the beach. Great staff.

I booked in for three nights & im not joking Ross, & Jac couldn't have been more perlite and helpful in every way. Approaching this motel it stood out from all the rest of the motels within a few miles either north or south of the the Camden Motel. I don't know maybe the clean and maybe just the building itself not sure but the Camden Motel differently stands out from other motels in a nice way I might add. After booking in to the Camden Motel by Rossco (Ross) my wife & I couldn't help but notice the cleanliness of the hole Motel the entrance & the room. It again stood out how clean & trendy the hole place really was. I can only speak of my own experience and it was second to nun 100% do I recommend, the Camden Motel & I was made feel extremely welcome at this motel (CAMDEN MOTEL) Everything worked properly and was again very comfortable within the room as well as very clean. i would not stay anywhere else when staying at a motel on the gold coast. Again it ticked all the box's. Thanx to Rossco (Ross & Jac) the prepiotors… More motels on the strip around close proximity to the Camden motel should take notice how everything works within the rooms & the cleaniness of the rooms and motel in general.

Great room with everything we needed especially air con.

We had a great time staying with Trish our hoist Trish at the Camden Motor Inn. Everything is so convenient, the shops across the road and Main Beach just waiting down the road for the early morning walk. The room was well appointed with every thing we needed. Thanks again Trish Guy.

Absolutely disgusting service by this motel I booked a room for my son myself and my sons friend for a night in June 2015 to go to a rugby league game at Robina I paid fully for the room by visa card and when the confirmation email came through we were told we had to pay a $150.00 bond for the room I had no problem doing this BUT I dared to ask when it would be refunded back into my account as the boys needed money for fuel and food to get back the lady on reception told me I was not suitable to stay at her motel if I was a person with limited funds I have worked all my life been an honest person and made to feel like a real grub by this lady we ended up booking another motel a bit further close to the Robina Stadium it was very comfortable cheaper and no deposit required and overwhelming service.

Good Clean and Fresh. Nothing was too much effort. Willing to help and always available even if not on sight by call. Highly recommend a stay for all. Near to beach, shops, bus stops, main traffic routes and most things with in walking distance. We would definetly go back at any time possible. Thank you for your amazing service and care.

For that money is very good, but in my room was bad smell.
