Very small room but city centre and very economical. Next door to an American style bar bistro. Perfect for the Budget traveller who only uses a room to sleep in.

Our room was very clean and comfy, the staff were lovely and the brekkie at the restaurant next door was outstanding. The rooms are small but perfect for an overnight stay in a great location.

This hotel is very conveniently situated only a couple of minutes easy walk to Roma St station where you can hop on a train straight to the airport or to the Gold Coast. Its close to the pedestrian bridge that takes you over the river to Southbank & close to the Queen St shopping precinct. My room was very clean & the bed comfy. The reception staff were friendly and accommodating. I was recommended this hotel & will definitely stay here again on my next Brisbane trip.

Service is great and the rooms is pretty awesome. TV is massive and took me by surprise. Only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is due to the parking on location. It's an extremely tight fit. I was driving a 2014 Ford focus and it stressed me hard trying to park it. Other then that it was a brilliant experience.

Stayed one night before heading to the Gold Coast. Easy check in and out. Lovely and friendly receptionists. Rooms are well equipped and a good size for a couple. Walking distance to the mall and train.

Economic accommodation with all the expected features. Very creative design to get the maximum out of the space. Fantastic friendly service and convenient location near the river and Queen St mall… Been here several times now, and will again.

Clean small rooms with the basic necessaries. Wifi was bad. Either it kept disconnecting or can’t connect at all. Using my own Wi-Fi instead of the hotels. Clean bathrooms, friendly staffs although we arrived quite late like 11pm. Great location and everything is in walking range! 8/10. Would recommend for singles or couples staying for a couple of days!

I have just spent 5 nights, on my own, at the George Williams and enjoyed my stay. The morning after the first night, my shower was cold and water leaked all over the floor. The staff were very helpful in finding me another room where I spent the remaining time. Special thanks to Mark and Phillippa. The rooms are very tiny, as I discovered through reading the reviews AFTER I had booked and I was told that most rooms do not even have the armchair the both my rooms had. However, the bed was so comfy, the room was very clean and so quiet… and I was there to see Brisbane, not spend time in my room. For the proximity to everything and the great value for money I would certainly stay here again.

Tiny room but massive private balcony. Clean and tidy rooms but unfortunately the whole room was excessively damp and it felt like we were sleeping on water. The dampness penetrated the contents of suitcases once we opened them which meant we had to travel to the airport with damp clothing. The staff are friendly and the restaurant has a good menu which is reasonably priced.

Is convenient and well priced. The room was totally refurbished. The staff were lovely. Secure entry and lift use.

Excellently priced central city hotel. Comfortable and clean room. Don't expect any major luxuries. You get what you pay for. Parking not included and a little on the expensive side at $28 per night.

Small rooms, door separating at the bottom, simple thing like soft closed toilet lids and old bathroom.

Shit car park and my room, 212 was a little lacking for natural light. But staff were great and restaurant was very good. Great location. Would stay here again.

The hotel despite recent renovations is pretty dated and basic. Wifi connection is extremely poor. Id much rather pay for Wi-Fi but get decent reliable connectivity.

Location is great. Very basic rooms, nice enough for the price but it's not somewhere to hang out — just a place to leave your suitcase and fall asleep. Free parking was advertised but then it wasn't free. Good Wi-Fi but unnecessarily complicated sign in.

The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of Brisbane CBD. The staff were friendly and easy to approach. The room was clean and well set out, definitely recommend it if you are staying in the city for a night or two. There were 3 adults staying for 1 night and there was plenty of room with 1 king size bed and a sofa bed.

Very central to everything you want to see in Bris. Great staff. Heating a bit of a problem in winter. Heater under table. Did not see it till next day.

When staying at the George Williams Hotel Brisbane last week, my wife and I were offered a discount voucher for breakfast in the adjoining restaurant by the hotel receptionist at a, I thought, reasonable price of $16 each, so we purchased two for the next morning, next morning we went into the restaurant and ordered our breakfast from the voucher menu only to find it would have been $4 cheaper to have ordered from the restaurant menu.

Location is convenient if you're staying for official purpose. No need to worry about food, you got lots of options got that too.

Stayed here with my partner for 5 nights. The lady who cleaned our room was very lovely and did a great job. Place was well priced and was comfortable considering the price. However had no pool or gym, and the restaurant was closed over the easter break. Staff did not seem to want to be there, but again the hotel was close to everything and well priced, so it was easy to overlook. Over all, I have stayed at better, but would stay again only because of the location and price.

Clean and comfortable. Very efficient friendly housekeeping staff, polite and professional reception staff. Hot water took forever to come thru, and didn't end up using any cold water while showering. As a result I was upgraded from level 2 (very small pokey room) to level 7 (much bigger) for the entire duration of my stay) Very disappointed with the restaurant attached to hotel however a discount was given when we were asked to give feedback about food quality.

Dinner was good, rooms were classy and the staff were very nice.

Found a hotel better than the ibis. Good food, great room, magnificent staff and worlds best customer service. Will back for more.

Location was easy to get to through public transport. Parking would be expensive as you'd expect in the city. The conference room was spacious and adequate for a group of around 20 people and the food provided was delicious.

Rooms are very tiny, the aircon unit is huge and very loud, made for terrible nights sleep. Was expecting a small bar fridge to keep a bottle of water cold but there was none. For $205 a night def expected much better.

Great location. Nice comfortably units. Handy to Roma street station, making it a good base to stay in Brisbane, and perhaps go to the Gold Coast one day or somewhere like Australia Zoo the next. Also close to the mall.

Quiet and inexpensive hotel that is a great value for money. The rooms are a bit small, and they do get stuffy, but it is a pretty decent place to spend your time in Brisbane.

Just checked out this morning with the not so friendly staff. Couldnt write me an invoice with my name on it becuase I wasnt the one who booked it even tho I am the one paying for it with a credit card with my name on it. All she said was " Oh its just how our system is set up" and there was a " I could care less " on her face. Good luck mates.

Very clean, think it has been recently referbed. Right in the middle of Brisbane. Plenty of shops and pubs in the area. 200 meters walk from Roma street station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Yes the rooms are a bit small but they are very well priced and you get a great place to stay,, convience and value for money.

Affordable place to stay for a few days.

Must say I have stayed in quite a few hotels with my job and this has to be the worse experience I have had. The room was very small and very 60's (old fashioned) the roof leaked all over my paperwork and my handbag. Wetting all my belongings! The carpark is in a ridiculous location and very hard to find. And very narrow if you have a large vehicle. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unfortunately.

Wow, I stayed at this Hotel only a day ago my stay was amazing, staff were friendly they couldn't do enough for you. Rooms were very Swish, they were stylish, coordinated, plenty of room in them and apparently I had been given the photo room it was great. The whole hotel was so clean it would definitely give the other hotels a run for their money! It was so reasonable on they're pricing! They had a refrigerator in the room, Tea, Coffee, Ironing board, iron, Heater, Blanket, Flat screen Tv, Phone if you needed, everything you could possibly want to make your stay comfortable. I dined in their restaurant three times and can recommend their Grain fed Beef, I have eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world and that was one of the best, I did send my compliments to the chef so hopefully he would have been told. Many Thanks to the George Hotel for a wonderful experience so happy with your facility and services you treated me amazingly No 1 for customer service and customer focus. Excellent Restaurant Clean, friendly and even the staff wished me well on my interview they go above and beyond. 10/10 whoever says different to this has got to be asked the question "Seriously".

I stayed two nights is this hotel, overall the hotel rooms are small compared to the other brisbane hotels I have stayed in. I found the service professional and their staff friendly. The ambiance in the room is dull and the hotel would need a renovation to live upto its standard promised in its website. The corridors to the rooms are narrow and small. Noises from the corridor seeps into the room and the air conditioning though old is pretty effective and in good condition. Had dinner in their adjoint restaurant, which had an average ambiance for a restaurant, not really impressed with the interiors, but service is prompt and good and food can be classified as pub food at best.
