Clean and neat. Rooms are comfortable and better than I expected for a motel. Staff were friendly, and the attached restaurant was great. Standard rooms look average, but the suites are pleasant.

Old motel, rooms but they have been updated a bit. Good location walk to pretty much everything.

Extremely noisy guests. Management were aware of the situation due to other complaints. We made a complaint and got 5 minutes of silence after at best. Wasn't checked on after by them. Then around 1am a horribly mechanical screeching went for around 20 minutes. Barely slept, not impressed. Would not stay again if I was paid.

Good for budget accommodation but the thai resturant im the front WOOOOOW!

The location is okay. Not too far from the center of the city and beaches. The rooms are not too bad. Very clean but the service was really good. The rooms was cleaned daily and supplies replaced.

Clean, tidy, and super helpful owners. Lots of great food options around. Not prone to opportunistic price hikes around holidays. These people are legends.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and up to date with a comfortable bed. Everything was in working order and their is a nice Thai restaurant on-site where I enjoyed a yummy dinner. Another bonus, the beautiful North Wollongong beach is just over ten minutes walk away, as is North Wollongong station.

Very good location, 3-minute walk from train station. Convenient and also at walking distance from the beach! Free buses to Wollongong and to/from the university.

Great place to stay! Was quieter than I thought and heard little to no outside noise. I requested an early check in and was greeted kindly to come into an already warm room! (In the middle of Winter) Staff were so helpful making sure I had all I needed and gave good recommendations of the area. Shower is a nice strong stream with enough room to move around in. I'll be coming back here again and again.

Convenient location and price. Can get a bit loud with the backpacker crowd though and facilities are pretty small, musty and dated. Good for an overnight stay when you're on the move. The Thai restaurant attached is well priced and serves very nice Thai dishes.

My husband and I paid $160 for one night. Our room was very small. Surrounding guest noise was dreadful. Paper thin walls unfortunately allowed us to hear everything that was going on around us. Belching, vomiting and passing wind. Disgusting. The bed was uncomfortable to boot. 1 star rating for cleanliness.

I have stayed at the Flinders Motel for both work and pleasure on several occasions. The couple who run it are exceptionally warm, friendly and welcoming. They always go the extra mile to make my stay an enjoyable experience. The rooms are clean and quiet, there is plenty of parking and the location is very convenient for dining out and exploring the region. The adjoining restaurant (Royal Thai Cuisine) is also superb and you receive a 10% discount on your meal if you stay at the motel. I look forward to my next visit. Helena.

Room was simple, but clean. Check in was lovely about me coming in late, and parking was accessible but steep to get too.

Good clean rooms, fairly generous bathrooms, Flinders Motel is easy to find on the outskirts of the city centre. The reception was super friendly, Wi-Fi was free in 1hr increment vouchers and the bed was medium to firm styled.

Television had dodgy reception. No hair dryer nor soap shampoo and conditioner. Rooms dated and dusty. Granted is holiday season but $160.00 a night!

Booked a family room. The room is okay if you are on a tight budget and staying for a few nights or travelling. The staff are nice and friendly. Also a 10 minute walk to the beach.

A SHOCKER As a interstate worker I have become somewhat of an expert on motels and what is a fair price. Flinders Motel is completely unreasonable charging over 200 dollars for what is clearly a 100 dollar room. As far as I'm concerned over charging is as good as stealing!

When I checked in I was told I had a family suite, when I got to my room it was far from what I excpected. 3 beds crammed into a tiny room, with a tiny little bathroom attached. Everything was outdated, and the price was ridiculous. $210 for the night!. Will not be returning.

Traveled to Wollongong for Netball State Championships. Room was spotless, good size bathroom and very hospitable and friendly staff. Will happily stay here again. From Toronto NSW.

Clean room, lovely staff, top restaurant, grrat staff.

Wotif states the rooms are fully refurbished, but I suspect this refurbishment was completed in the late 1980's or early 1990's. It looks like the only refurbishments received in the last 10 years were a water saving shower head and a modest LCD TV. I also suspect the Queen size bed was only a Double. Having said that, the room was clean and tidy, fully functional, beds were comfortable and well dressed, and given the cost of nearby hotels the price wasn't entirely unreasonable. I would stay here again.
