What a great place to stay, the staff are very welcoming & friendly, room was lovely, thankyou we had a nice time. Will definately be back soon.

I had a lovely 2-night stay at the Normandie Motel. I found the room comfortable and the staff were friendly. The motel is within walking distance of beach, restaurants, parks and train station which I found very convenient. Reasonably priced. Thanks I will be coming back again.

Aarons Restaurant is good but the motel itself needs to be renovated or detonated. Great location with adequate free parking but no money spent here to update or modernise.

Great little place. It's slightly dated and relatively inexpensive, so don't expect 1000 threadcount sheets and an oceanfront view. That being said, it was a good value for the money — clean, comfortable bed, helpful and friendly staff, and great location (close to restaurants, the beach, and bus stops). Would definitely stay again.

The bed was comfy with clean cotton sheets, unfortunately the service was a little lacklustre. After using the milk it was not replenished even though we were there for 5 nights. The bathroom was almost clean but the water pressure was zero. You had to let it run for 15 minutes to let it get warm, and don t even think about touching the cold tap or you'll be having a cold shower. Wouldn't stay here again.

Very old, ran down an dirty I wouldn't recommend staying here at all. The whole building needs too be renovated. Or nocked down an rebuilt. So not worth the money or experience.

Reception was not very friendly on the phone. Attended training inside the function room. It is a pleasant atmosphere but nothing amazing. Trainer was staying at the hotel and was asked to check out at 9am which was earlier than expected. There was a cat sitting in the stairwell which didn't bother me but might cause issues for those with allergies — unsure if they inform guests of the animal (s).

There is a lot of room for improvement. Very noisy, strange sounds throughout the night (perhaps the piping). Needs an update. However, there were some pro's. The beds were quite comfy, and the service was great. Just a bit outdated.

It is a reasonable place to stay for a night. At the rate that we had to pay for the night, I personally think it is over priced. The hotel is very dated and requires a significant refurbishment inside and out. The wall and door are paper thin. The rooms are very small. Shower and bathroom are good, parking on the other hand is messy and not managed well. If you are desperate for a one night place, it is acceptable but for the price, I would expect a better place. Service was not at the level I expected either. Overall for a night, it is ok but not for more than that. More for business travelling salesmen than leisure.

If there was a zero I would have clicked 0. Cheap & nasty. Old, cold atmosphere. My room was one of the last rooms before the highway, trying to sleep was impossible. The bed so uncomfortable, shit pillows. Paint and fibro cracking from the walls. I had trails of ants all over the bathroom floor and walls. I didnt take my shoes off when showering. The glasses in the fridge were stained and still had hard dirt to them. I had to wash and run under hot water before attempting to drink from it. The fridge kept making loud abrupt sounds adding to our mission to sleep. Turned the fan on for it to spark… I turned it off thinking it was going to fall as it was swaying. When leaving the lady accused us of not giving back a bath mat. Which we were given one and I handed back to her other employer. So she tried to take 7 dollars from our deposit. Which wasnt much but so rude in the first place. She didn't say anything when we left or greeted us goodbye just a horrible dirry look because I argued that we didnt take a lame bath matt. I wouldn't recommened this to anyone. We left and went to sweet suites and couldn't believe the difference. Never again. Then leave a bad review and get accused of abusing the receptionist. Why because I actually spoke and said no I did give it back you just expect to rip people off and they not say anything… and now mark my comment as spam

Excellent location, close to the beach, but not luxurious at all. Just simple and not so wide rooms either, but convenient if you want to spend a couple of nights w a place to park.

My parents stayed here for 1 night… no hot water that night and then no hot water the next morning! … They left it running for quite some time as a notice did say it took a while for it to heat up… but nope. They left at 5.30am as couldnt wait to get out of there. Middle of winter and no hot water. Not ideal. Rooms were clean but old. They wont be returning or recommending to anyone.

Small comfy rooms, slightly dated, bit you get your moneys worth for a quick overnight stay in Wollongong.

It has holes in the roof and Socrates everywhere plus NO locks on the windows.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in! Noisy, old, horrible owners! I complained about my room and how noisy it was, and asked to be moved or to get a refund for the remaining nights, to only be yelled at about how unacceptable this was, and that it's my fault that I had such a bad nights sleep! Parking is awful, breakfast was ridiculously over priced, and BAD! I can't express enough how horrible my stay here was. Had it not been for the lovely atmosphere outside of the hotel, and friendly locals, I would never go back to Wollongong.
