Have stayed there multiple times. Beautiful apartments, very spacious incl full kitchen. Staff lovely, very helpful. Upgraded us when there was a problem with our room on Sunday night. Can highly recommend a stay there. We moved Sun night as our very simple air bnb with very steep outside staircase cost $40 more than this classy hotel cost on a Sunday night… & they have an elevator. Great for the disabled. Thankyou again Pioneer Sands!

Comfortable hotel. Nice and clean. But the room only has one heater. Which during cold month. It may not enough.

Great staff. The room we were in was a little old and rattled a lot in the wind however it was generally good and a great price for the size.

Nice big quiet room, comfy bed. Breakfast was just ok. More a US style rather than the contenental they advertise it as and a bit pricey.

Awesome stay. Studio apartment was great. 2 good sized rooms. Aircon worked well. Kitchen & fridge/freezer in room was great Pool was very welcome, though the spa needed a clean when we used it. Breakfast was overpriced for continental only ($15). Suggest you head into cafe for better value.

For $400 a night you would expect air con in the bedroom… Or even a fan in the bedroom… or even a screen on the balcony door so that could be open to let air in. We slept on the lounges or the floor in the living area. When the suns been shining on the glass doors all Day the rooms are very warm. Staff were nice though.

Really friendly staff easy quick check in really nice new rooms with massive balcony with a view of the mountains buffet breakfast great dining area pool and spa.

Big spacious rooms with everything you need. Aircon not inside the room was a bit wierd.

Was a great place to stay, spacoius apartments, staff friendly and helpful. A small gym and more importantly fabulous sauna. Off street parking and easy access to everything.

Went there for an event, staff was friendly and accommodating. Was available when needed. Rooms were nicely setup and provided meals throughout the day was great!

I attended the pioneer sands for a work based event. I found the venue to be clean and well lit and the staff to be quite friendly.

Visit was for a conference. Room set up good with water and kitchen facilities. Large and airy space, good lighting and staff amiable.

The hotel is nice and clean, but I had two uncomfortable days there. The curtain cannot prevent incoming light well, so I awaked a lot earlier. The gym is in a poor condition-the rubber straps feel off from the bike.

Great venue for small to medium conferences and events.

Staff were lovely and professional. Check in and out efficient and done with a smile. Room (102) was very large. Great bed, great shower and spotlessly clean. Nice quiet street too, so not much noise at night. Only four small issues for me: 1. Very noisy air con unit in this room. 2. TV in room is very small. 3. No room service. Working in sales, the last thing I want to do at night is go out to find food or sit in a restaurant by myself. Not sure why they can't do room service from cafe to room. Even if we have to go downstairs and pick it up ourselves ("Ibis" style) would be useful for business people. 4. High charge for Wi-Fi. In this day and age, Wi-Fi should be free for guests. I also thought the corridors on the guest floors reminded me of a hospital. Very sterile and energy saving bulbs everywhere that give off that harsh, white light. However, minor things really. Compared to other over-priced hotels in Wollongong, this is a great place and recommended.

This is a good place to stay, the rooms are private and nice and clean. The staff seem to take pride in their jobs. I would come back.
