MidCity Hostel

Hotel in the center of Yerevan. Comfortable and clean beds (3500 dram). Access to a kitchen. Fairly quiet. The only problems are the shared toilets and showers not in very good condition (And some customers aren't very clean either)

A month before my arrival, I wrote to them on WhatsApp that I was going to come. The correspondence was unsuccessful; they either answered me or didn’t answer me.
I decided to call directly, but the voice answered that this was an apartment and not a hostel. What was it?

I had to look for a hostel locally. And I found another one that was more reliable.

Location. This is all.
Instead of a private room with two beds, I was put in a shared room for 12 people! One toilet with a bath for 12 people, very dirty, there is almost never toilet paper, cleaning is symbolic. I won't come back here for anything.

Everything was great! The girls at the reception are kind and helpful! Everyone told everything, explained where everything is, how and how to get where you need to go, where is the best place to eat! Note to management (it wouldn’t hurt to give a bonus 😃) clean rooms, comfortable beds, convenient location! I will definitely come back to this hostel again! Thank you Yerevan.

I chose the hostel because of its location. I didn't make a mistake. Everything is within walking distance. I don’t have much experience with hostels, but this was the first time I came across the idea of ​​curtains. Very cozy. Towels + linen are provided, there is a general refrigerator and two bathrooms + toilets in the room, there is a hairdryer. Super place, most importantly — cheap. Super nice girl at the front desk.
Yes, water is spilled on the floor in the shower, but this is a minor thing. This did not affect my comfort.

Pros: located in a good location, the center is nearby.
The hall and common areas (kitchen, lounge) are arranged in a very respectable manner. The kitchen has everything: refrigerators, microwave, kettle, plastic dishes, knives, forks. Dishwashing detergents, stove.
Friendly staff.
In the bathroom: there is a washing machine (free use).
Internet is ok. Isolation is ensured due to the curtain.
The flight was delayed for 12 hours, the first reservation was canceled free of charge. Thanks a lot!
Cons: overcrowding of the women's room — for 12 people. There were 6 of us at the time of our stay. If it’s more, there’s obviously a queue for the bathroom and constant noise.
The biggest disadvantage: the bed linen is synthetic.
The payment terminal does not work, at night the employee took us to the ATM, and together we returned to the hotel.
We need a cabinet in the bathroom for guests' toiletries and a supply of toilet paper.
At the time of stay: renovations in the next room, resulting in odors and dust.
There is no window, the room is very stuffy.
The girls turned out to be sloppy: hair everywhere, the door to the toilet was constantly open, the hood howled all night, someone came noisily at night. (This is all for the residents).

I’m used to the fact that in the hostel there is at least tea and coffee to drink. There is no. Visit yours. And somehow there’s a problem with the dishes. It’s good that at least there is a kettle with a microwave.
There are no shelves in the capsule to put anything. And there are no hooks. The curtains are really good. Almost no light is allowed through. The mattress is not comfortable. And it was a surprise that I had to make my own bed. It is not convenient that there is one bathroom for 12 people. In the morning there is a queue. And for some reason, not everyone is accustomed to closing the curtain when they take a shower. I didn't feel comfortable.
It’s good that we were able to check in after the evening flight.

In the very center of the city. Sights and cafes within walking distance.

There is a shared kitchen and washing machine.
Climbing to the upper shelves is quite inconvenient. It might be worth at least adding a handrail inside the top pod to make climbing easier.
The polyester bedding was very disappointing. It is unpleasant to the touch; on the first night, sparks flew when you ran your hand or foot over it.
There is a washing machine, but there is no way to buy a single portion of powder at the reception and there is no normal place for drying — everything is hung on hangers and bed ladders. There is a heated towel rail in the bathroom, but it is cold and takes a very long time to dry in a damp bathroom.
Quite noisy ventilation in the room. Sound-sensitive people may have difficulty sleeping.
There is one bathroom per room (10 people) — a shared bathroom. The hostel should add public showers and toilets so that you don't have to wait in line all the time.
Plastic utensils predominate in the kitchen. It would be better to have ceramic mugs and plates. They are easier to wash off fatty foods and are more pleasant to use.
Slippers are not provided, bring your own. You can walk throughout the hostel in street shoes, but this is not very comfortable.

The incompetent and rude manager, who unfortunately disappoints the guests with his mismanagement, and you don't see hospitality at all in this hostel.

I had many trips and went to many hostels and hotels in my life. But I saw the most uneducated and unprofessional hosts in this hostel. Some body steal your things and they don't have cameras to see who stole. They give different prices to each passenger. They charged me $12 per day. $8 from another person. $10 from another person. I experienced 10 of the worst days of my trip there. Rozhun's disorganization and lack of education. They do not know English. They do not know how to host. They behave completely disrespectfully and insulting Only on the first day when you pay, they might smile at you and not abuse you. You will experience the worst hostel and the most unprofessional host in this hostel.

Stayed here (midcity hostel) for 3 days, they took my charger, my Powerbank, my glasses and a box of Marlboro cigarettes and so many other little things but the manager and receptionist that I am doubtful about him didn't really care, they even didn't check the cameras. Strongly recommend everyone not to take this hostel, they are all thieves.

I would very suggest this place it’s located in the centrr the price is 5000 Drams = 13$ prr night, big kitchen and people tgere are nice, it is open 24/7 and that’s why I liked it.

Here, you will NOT get a blanket in in middle of November, If you ask for it soo many times. There is a heating but not enough. Staff was not polite at all, only good thing is that they let us leave stuff until the afternoon after check out. Everything is nice on the pictures, but BEDS are soo UNCONFORTABLE! Awful.

Sure the best hostel in Yerevan, clean, staff super gently everything perfect.

I suggested my friends from France to stay in this hostel as I saw its exterior and conveniences and found it very comfortable comparing its type and location. And I am very thankful that my guests stayed very pleased. I gonna suggest this hostel always to everyone.

I like the place, interial design, service and the cleanliness.
Is real mid city because is in the midel of yerevan and every kind of places you need to go are near, and inside is quiet, the design is modern and rich as everything is tidy and clean.
