Kataryn Hostel

The location and service was excellent, the room however was not — there was no window, which made it unpleasant in the morning — to wake up in complete darkness — and unbearable during the night, as there is nowhere to let fresh air from. The only option was to turn on a very loud ventilation that can disturb the light sleepers, thank God we were not one of them. They offer airport transfer — wouldn’t repeat, costs 2 times more than a taxi.

Perfect location. I booked a separate room but voices were heard from the hostel section (not critical). Friendly staff was eager to communicate and helped with a taxi.

Terrible place. "Family room" — smudges on the walls, melted sockets. Fire safety problems, fire may occur.
The common toilet is not cleaned; everything is filled with liquid of biological origin.
One air conditioner remote control for several air conditioners throughout the hostel. Do you want to turn off or change the temperature or mode? Go to the reception desk.
The washing machine turned out to be paid for, although the administrator did not warn about this.
When we wanted to return the money we had previously paid, the manager arrived and began to be rude. He returned it only under the threat of calling the police.

Wonderful hostel in the city center. Affordable, there is a kitchen with free coffee, tea; showers with hot water and clean toilets, free Wi-Fi. The rooms are spacious and there are towels. The staff and owner are simply darling. They will help and advise. When I come to Yerevan, I will move here again.
