Ararat Hotel

The sink doesn’t drain properly and is clogged.
The toilet flush gets stuck.
There’s no cold water – it’s so hot it burns the skin.

The hotel is in a very bad condition, roofs are dirty and not maintained at all. Almost no one speaks English and breakfast is not edible.
Staffs are not helpful. Blankets are old and dirty.
Rooms are in terrible condition.
Please please please do not choose this awful hotel.

Wonderful hotel, polite staff, clean and tidy everywhere. I especially liked the kitchen. Large assortment, everything is very tasty.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The staffs are so kind and helpful, we became friends with some of them; the breakfast was wonderfull and the management was good.

The hotel is a bit old and the rooms need renovation. In our room there was a crack above the door, the whole door looked like it would fall apart soon, in the bathroom there was always a puddle under the sink, apparently it was leaking somewhere! Apparently they don’t know how to clean, they asked us to clean the room, took out the trash, changed the bed sheets and towels, the hair remained on the carpet. Very soft mattress. The balcony is also dirty, everything is covered in dust.

This hotel has 2 pluses — a good location and friendly, helpful staff.
The rest is terrible — the breakfasts are tasteless, the mattresses on the beds have protruding springs, the bedding falls apart in your hands (the duvet cover actually fell apart when you put the blanket in it), the doors in the closet did not move, the advertised TV was not in the room, the towel hooks in the bathroom were barely holding on and paper, the watering can poured only from a few holes, the water became hot after about 15 minutes of pouring. The floor in the bathroom was not washed upon arrival; there were no towels to lay on the floor or rags to wipe after washing the floor.
The rooms are outdated, we saw that they are doing renovations in the suites, maybe they will reach the standard ones.

It is very good hotel and Anahit from reception is friendly and nice person. The other workers like Marat, Lilit are very good too. They are very kind and polite. Food are delicious and organic. I like it very much. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, large rooms, convenient location. But most importantly, delicious 5-star breakfasts! Respect to the cook for homemade food. We lived here for 4 days and were always given something new. There are also a lot of different cheeses, jams, sausages, and fruits. I recommend.

The staff was excellent and we had a good experience at this hotel! Especially Armine, Lilit, Anahit, Gayane, Geghetsik, Levon and all the staff 🥰 😉

Terrible hotel!
It was real horror! I arrived alone, late at night. The administrator (for some reason in sportswear, and not in a uniform, but oh well) escorted me to my room. I already felt somehow uncomfortable — a huge hotel, practically not lit, it felt like there were no other guests there. I took a superior room. I was accommodated on the top attic floor, where there are only 2 rooms. I'm already a little tense. The room is disgustingly old with peeling wallpaper, yellowed sockets, the overall appearance is dirty, dark and unkempt. I was taking a shower and thought that I heard rustling in the room, or the suitcases were creaking) ) ) Then I felt completely uneasy and I decided to hang a “do not disturb” sign outside and lock the door. But! I experienced a real shock when I opened the door and saw that administrator in front of me! When asked what he was doing here, he hesitated, backed away towards the elevator and muttered indistinctly that he was cleaning. At 4 am on a floor where there is nothing! What he wanted to do is unclear. I’m not a timid person and I travel a lot alone, this has never happened before. But in this case, I was seriously scared. I called my husband via video and went outside, because staying there alone could be dangerous. I had to call a taxi and go to another trusted hotel. And I don’t care that I already paid for the room. I will never go to this hotel again!

The hotel has the most convenient location for me, I had to take the IELTS exam (it’s right next door to the hotel, so it’s very convenient), and it’s also only 700 meters from the main Republic Square. From the window of the room there was an unusual beautiful view of the courtyard. A very tasty buffet breakfast, including local traditional pastries. A very nice and friendly girl named Lilith cooks, thank you! Great room, cleaned daily, fast Wi-Fi! On the first day, the guy and girl at the reception were very friendly and tactful, they even checked in a little earlier than check-in time! everyone knows Russian well, there were no problems)

The tour we were on booked this hotel for us.
Pretty good location within walking distance to republic square and restaurants.
Hotel standard room is tired.
You smell when breakfast is being cooked.
The curtains don’t block the light from outside.
The showers connection is broken and head points down making it difficult for taller people and bath shower combination is slippery and awkward to turn tap on.
Sheets don’t cover bed and blankets are tired along with the towels rip easily as some are very thin.
Cleaners don’t clean behind the bathroom door and we stayed for 4 nights and new bed linen would have been nice.
New towels were given every day.
1st day we were given water and nothing after that.
Breakfast was not too bad but is not ready until 9am so makes it hard for starting tours early.
Hear running water in the bathroom think it is coming from another room.
Some guests had food left in the fridge so they mushy check fridges.

Reception Team is friendly.
Location is convenient.
The first night I spent in a horrible room: no matrace, cockroaches, dark, everything is broken, windows to parking. I have never seen anything similar!
I asked to change the room the next day — it was much better, however Wi-Fi was not working in the room, thus I had to use my mobile internet.
Breakfast starts at 9am which is very odd for a hotel. No coffee!
I also saw a cockroache at the stars new the reception area.
