The pros: The location was nice, if you have a car it’s easy to drive down into Theth. There was parking on the premises, which was convenient. The view from the patio was incredible, as well as from the room on the fourth floor. Breakfast included a big pitcher of mountain tea, which I really enjoyed every morning. The kids work hard and speak English well.
The cons: Despite this, several things left us disappointed with this guesthouse. Firstly, the owners didn’t speak any English, and while the kids tried their best to help, we just didn’t feel the connection and hospitality that we’ve experienced at other guesthouses in Albania. We tried to make some efforts but in the end, it just felt awkward. The room itself was adequate but the bathroom flooded whenever we used the shower and the drain smelled bad. Moreover, there were power outages, which is understandable due to the location, but at some point the water just stopped working for an hour when we wanted to shower. When we tried to communicate with the host about it, he couldn’t really explain and just shrugged his shoulders. Additionally, when my partner took a shower one day, he had to stop because the water was going through the floor and leaking down into the room below us. The breakfast was nice, but very heavy with fried doughnuts and there was no variation in the 5 days we stayed there. We really wanted to like this place, but sadly it just wasn’t our favorite.
Vila Davisol is such a special place! We felt so taken care of, Denisa and her family are wonderful and breakfast and dinner (dinner is an extra fee but soooo worth it) were so delicious! Truly some of the best meals I’ve had in forever I cannot recommend more. The vila is so peaceful and there’s so much beautiful hiking and adventuring to do all around! And the amazing shower was a great treat after a nice hike. I cannot wait to come back here as soon as possible! This would be a great trip for couples, friends, and families! Cannot recommend this vila more :)

Beautiful view, very clean room and absolutely lovely and kind family. The breakfast and dinners were a highlight — delicious, healthy, fresh and generous portions. The bathroom has hot water and good water pressure. The guest house is about 45 minute walk from town, but it's worth the walk!
