Reviews of Villa Molla
The biggest drawback is the location. The hotel is about a 40-minute walk from the centre of Theth, and most of the way is uphill. We arrived here on foot after hiking from Valbona and did not have a car, so during our stay we had to use taxi to get to the centre, shops, restaurants, and the starting points of hiking trails.
The hotel offered us a transfer to the centre of Theth for €10 one way.
There was almost no space to store clothes in the room. The wardrobe had no hanging rail or hangers, and there were no shelves or chairs where we could put our belongings. We had to keep our clothes directly on the floor.
There was no fridge or kettle in the room.
The shower was the weakest part of the room. The shower cabin was very small, the drain was clogged so the water did not drain properly, and the water temperature was difficult to adjust. In the mornings there was no hot water at all, and the staff were unable to resolve the issue.
There is no air conditioning in the rooms. During our stay, the outdoor temperature was around 33°C, so both the room and the balcony became very hot, making it uncomfortable to stay in the room during the day.
The soundproofing is almost non-existent. We could hear neighbours, conversations in the corridor, noise from other floors, and music from the restaurant.
Restaurant prices are higher than in the centre of Theth.
Breakfast was very basic, with a limited selection.
Nice place to stay! Beautiful view, clean rooms, staff are very nice and accommodating. Food is good and the staff are available during general meal hours to cook for you. I had a rental car which made it easy to get down to the village and to the trailheads. Without a car, you will need a taxi or to walk down a narrow and windy road for a while to get to the popular spots in Theth.

Amazing experience! Viktor, the host was so helpful with daily advice, hiking recommendations, and seeing our every need met. We loved the room with balcony, the breakfast was perfect, and the view was incredible at every moment of the day. Sunset was especially beautiful. The town of Theth was a short drive away, but we just stayed at the Villa for our visit. We were shocked to hear that they make and grow everything on the property— cheese, fruit/ veg, bread, raki, etc. We will be back!
