A very nice hotel with friendly staff. Ideally located in london.

We only booked for one night because we were going on a cruise from Tilbury.
We were pleased to be allocated a ground floor room because we had two large suitcases and the hotel does not have a lift.
Very clean, comfortable bed and modern shower.
Friendly staff.
No cooked breakfast but that suits me. Cereal, fruit, cold meats and croissants.
The hotel also operates a left luggage scheme.
Lovely area. Would stay there again.

The room was very small, and the rug in the room looked like it wasn't cleaned for days. We came from the US, and so we had a few bags. We were placed on the fourth floor with no elevator. This meant carrying these bags up all those stairs. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Sorry but it was BAD. Staff not friendly and I requested a room on the lower level, what I got was 2nd floor with a narrow staircase Room was not cleani from last use. I had a bad day and this was the icing on the cake. I cannot nor will I recommend this hotel. There are other options on the same street hopefully better. A very cheap place to stay in the centre of London, with friendly staff and free breakfast. However, the place is a little rough around the edges and could be genuinely attractive with some internal redecorating and fresher appliances. The rooms are rather small and creaky, but nonetheless comfortable for the less picky traveller. Plump pillows, clean rooms and free toiletries. Overall, not a bad place; it just needs a lick of paint and new furniture!

Our room was extremely warm and stuffy, even in the cool spring weather. No a/c and the window didn’t seem to let in much air. There’s also no elevator (and most of the rooms are up at least one flight of stairs — ours was up 4 or 5 flights), so make sure you bring luggage you can easily carry. The location was awesome and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted (there’s even a little Tesco Express around the corner). It does face a fairly busy street so it’s a bit noisy, and there was an angry neighbor who yells every time someone is too loud outside (she woke me up multiple times in the very early morning). Not a bad stay, but I would probably stay elsewhere in the future.

I'm not coming back. Expensive for what it offers. The only thing that is saved is the bed.

It was ok. Location was good but that's about it. Room wasn't the cleanest a d it was beyond tiny. No elevator either which was hard to manage with luggage. However, it was one of the cheaper places around the area so I suppose one gets what she pays for. Next visit I'll stay farther away and take the tube more.

Welcome friendly, rooms though small but halfway neat, bathroom newly renovated but water pressure virtually non-existent. But don't expect too much for one night. For the price probably OK.

Helpful tutors, vgiod distance learning course.

I enrolled and a CAE course and had a really good experience. Every minute was focussed in developing the learning skills you need to pass the exam. We practiced every day with real exams and the teacher gave us homework (more exam papers) to do at home, which she returned all marked with advice and comments to improve our writing skills. That's what I call value for money. Among language schools giving evening lessons this was the cheapest. And, for the record, I got my CAE. Same as 80% of my fellow students.

First of all, I would like to say that here I only rate the price — performance ratio.
This hotel is a budget hotel, so I will not be upset about anything missing from which I cannot go out at this price.
1. Check in and check out were completely hassle and the staff was very friendly.
2. The room is about 10 square meters in size + bathroom. The size was enough for us, because we wanted to see London and not make a holiday in the room the décor has certainly already experienced better times, but is absolutely sufficient. It is cleaned daily, but lime in the bathroom makes it look a bit dirty. Breakfast consisted of toasted bread and jams, which was sufficient for us.
3. The location is easy to top, 10 minutes to the bus station and Victoria station, 15 minutes to the London Eye and Big Ben. Those who do not like to walk, the station Pimlico is 2 minutes away.
In summary, we will book it again.

The hotel is just ok. Don't expect anything fancy. My room was on the top floor without any lift. So, consider it before booking the accommodation. Breakfast was included into the booking. Though, it wasn't great either.

The teachers and managers are great but I cannot say the same things for classes and the building.

STAY AWAY! Do not go if you really have to! Very disappointed by this school. It's super pricey, teacher talks about her personal life, ex boyfriends, personal life, politics during 2 hours lessons. German genocide against Jews, Ottoman genocide against Armenians, French colonization in Africa which goes on and on… It was so disturbing for everybody. I enrolled CAE Evening class and paid £450 and learned nothing. There are a lot of nice school for a good price around the area. Please don't waste your time and money!

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Just one point, the photos showing on here are NOT all of St George's Hotel. It is a budget hotel in every sense of the word. The rooms are very dated and small and are in need of renovation. As advertised on their Website there are steep stairs to the rooms, so don't book if you have problems with stairs. The breakfast room is in the basement, where continental breakfast is served. You can order full English for an additional £5.00 each. Good location close to Pimlico tube station and not far from Victoria. We personally wouldn't stay here again, but if you want a budget hotel have a look.

Location ideal for central London. A short walk to Pimlico tube station and not a lot further to Tate Britain. Just a little stroll from here to Westminster. Our room was clean though a bit cramped. Staff helpful. The only moan is that our room was at the very top reached by 80 steps!

Very clean, the staff of the hotel very friendly, the breakfast rich and they did the daily cleaning. It is an old hotel (carpeted, no elevator) but if you are looking for something central and at a good price, it is ideal.

My customer paid for me to stay here thankgod, I was on the top floor, no lift and it stunk of weed, breakfast was aweful.

The room is fine for what it costs and above all being London, it is pretty well located. Best of all the reception, the Spanish girl helped us in all being also very nice and helpful.

I think it is exactly what and where it is suppose to be. This was my second stay. The access to transportation is available and there. I would say for those complaining I am sure the really super expensive hotels are waiting for you to book them! Staff was very friendly and attentive. Keep up the good work. I will continue to choose this hotel when traveling to London.

Small and to the point rooms, great if you aren't spending much time in there. Breakfast was good value though.

Just do it. I did the IELTS course for 2 weeks and I took a 7 score. Amazing location, nice teachers, marvellous social program.

The price for this hotel is very high, and it does not meet it's requirements for what we humans are used to have. Very small rooms, barely had space to put my luggage at without talking about spaces to walk through the room at all. Oh, you booked a studio room? Good luck with that. On the ground floor it's impossible to sleep literally because of a very weird noice and a very loud one that causes vibrations on the walls and a bed. We have moved from that room on our 3rd night. (G1) It was literally a 4x4 meters squared room, including a bathroom 2.5x1 meter where you could barely have a pleasure at after a long day. No space to walk in room, and all you can literally do is sit on the bed. Cleaning services and reception were really nice but the room was not worth it at all. Especially when I decided to stay down here for 2 weeks… Would not recommend unless you are very small and you just have a single small bag with you.

Older hotel with lots of stairs. Nice, friendly people and a good breakfast. Location nearby subway!

Great Hotel, Great Price in central London
Great location just a few minutes walk from Victoria station and very easy to find, Lovely room very clean and modern, comfortable bed and pillows and lovely white sheets, we had a great night's​ sleep after a busy day. There's tea and coffee in rooms, hairdryer, TV on the wall, great shower and free Wi-Fi. The rooms are not huge but its defaintly not a issue, there is room to walk around the bed and get changed etc which is all you want. The staff are excellent and very friendly, they will store your luggage if needed free of charge. The breakfast is continental style very fresh and sets you up for the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel there is everything you need for a nice stay.

Only thing going for this hotel is location to Victoria Station and the front desk staff who were awesome. Only people who should stay there are the young and if they only have a small bag. 73 steep narrow stairs up to top rooms where we were. 92 down to breakfast room. I had a single room that I couldn't even get a cat in it to swing. I cannot describe how tiny the bathroom was nevermind the room. I could barely shower. Could not stand in front of the sink as toilet was between shower and sink. Floor in shower was incredibly slippery when wet. The view from my room was great as I could see London Eye etc. Breakfast room lady was very rude. Beds were okay. Hubby had double room which was okay and bathroom was normal. Getting cases up and down the stairs ended up being physically painful. Sorry but would not recommend this accommodation.

This is the second time I chose this hotel as destination. The reason is obvious — everything here satisfies me perfectly! I love the location because it's easy to access central London. The room is tidy as always and most of all, the staff are all very helpful and attentive. I guess you can hardly find a place better than this one to settle after a long trip. Highly recommended without reservation!

Worked as an intern here for 2 months, August and September, had to deal with busy weeks as well as quiet ones, rewarding experience.

I enjoyed my time learning English at SGI. The location of the school is good, short distance from Oxford Circus tube station. The teachers are very friendly and helpful. The course itself is excellent and the class is small group which I like it. I even met my first ever Russian friend and Middle east friend from the course.

Romm is extreamly small for price however they have a good breakfast.

It's ok by London standards, small room (basically only enough space to move around, couldn't set the luggage without getting in the way) and an old bathroom with a toilet that's difficult to flush. Also had problems getting hot water for the shower (no pressure on the water so it was basically not possible to use it unless you get it cold). The most important thing is that it seemed pretty clean. They go each morning to clean and there's no sign for the door if you don't want to get it cleaned. In fact they removed some water bottle and toothbrush cover that I guess they thought it was trash. The breakfast was nice and the stuff easygoing. There's subway connections not too far away, but the closest one only has one line running which is not really going to the center.

Fantastic English breakfast in the morning! Relatively close to center, friendly staff and grocery store is near. Wi-Fi was the only issue, connection was everything but stable and staff didn't do much to try and fix that. Other than that it is very nice little hotel, has my recommendations! :)

Extremely disappointed, the place itself was fine a ridiculous amount of stairs. I find myself quite fit but I was out of breath by the 5th floor. The staff in the morning (03/02/2016) and the morning staff (04/02/2016) was extremely welcoming, the woman in the front desk said we was more than welcome to leave our luggage in the lobby and come back anytime to collect them, as check out was at 11am and our coach home was at 11pm When we returned around 08:30 pm we asked if we would be able to sit on the sofas for a hour or two because everything was shutting and it was 2 degrees outside. The woman mumbled okay while staring at her to show, we sat down quietly and I pick up a magazine. She then told us that there will be benches outside or inside the coach station and then just look at her computer screen until we left. I found her soooo rude the fact that she said yes to begin with and waited for us to sit down to change her mind was just ridiculous! She was more interested in her TV show than having customer service, she really upset me and my partner, we are now forced to sit, freezing Cold for two hours.

Functional. Loads of stairs to climb as it is an old Victorian house. Quiet area but central.

I went to the school for one month last summer. All the teachers were nice and fun. They taught me English patiently until I understood and helped me improve my English a lot. I always had fun in class. Also since its location is in London, I could do a lot of fun activities after school. I really recommend to go to this school if you want to enjoy learning English and have a great experience in London.

A great location of the hotel, a 5 minute walk to Hyde Park. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was not very large, but cosy and very clean. The only setback is the noise coming from the street.

5 stars for the school. I loved my time in London, because my English has improved a lot. The teachers are very encouraging, and it made me feel more confident … This is a big difference between the normal English lessons at my hometown school, where it is always grammatical questions over and over again and not speaking practice. I highly recommend it, and you should go to social program events — you can meet people from all over the world!

Service was very hands-off and a bit hard to get a hold of, but the room was fine (if a bit small). For last minute accommodation in Central London that doesn't break the bank, this is a good bet, but it's not a palace so temper your expectations! (It's clean though, which is what matters. ).

Totally loved the Hol here, service was wonderful, everyone very keen to be helpful, truly lovely.
