Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, food supplied was plentiful for after funeral meet up, bit disappointed with the unbottled coke, tasted awful otherwise good service.

Clean, well organised, with friendly staff. Good position for access to transport — buses and tube. Good quality continental breakfast.

Good atmosphere good drinks.

Great atmosphere and reasonable priced menu. Will definitely go back for Sunday Lunch.

Came here for the 2 dine for £39 deal last Saturday and were not disappointed! Great service, fab food. 10/10

A terrible service… Extremely loud drilling right under my window in the early hours of this morning (31.07.2018 — Wakefield Road) The Electricity men had to wear hard ear covers! The woman who booked me in failed to even tell me there would be drilling saying " we don't have any control over what happens outside"; but that is untrue as by law this hotel supposed to be notified IN WRITING that there are going to be DRILLING WORKS going on! There should have been a Public Notice within the William IV Hotel and to the bars, restaurants downstairs. Now to pursue this with The Management who it seems really don't give a shit! I am so distressed by what just took place and the Electricity men just laughed when I shouted to stop! Don't come to this place … low standards of service!

Workmen drilling since 7 this morning so loudly just below my window (Room 14). The management knew that there would be works and failed to inform customer! What if the customer had health problems? This is a despicable hotel! come at your peril!

This place is the biggest dive ever. The photos do not give a true reflection of it at all. The windows didn't lock and the balcony was shared with another room, meaning they could happily access our room. It was dirty, everything was threadbare, the shower door and shower fittings were all broken, the TV didn't work and the pillows were flat as pancake. The main door was always left open meaning anyone could walk in and up to your room, which also didn't lock! If there had have been anyone to complain to I would have done so but the reception was always closed. Do not stay at this "hotel"!

Great convenient accommodation and not very far from the center, located near the metro station. Friendly staff and very helpful.

Don’t stay here! I don’t have a kind word to say about this place. The staff are rude. The rooms are filthy and freezing. I’m in one of them right now and even though I’ve never been to prison, I feel I would be better off in one of them. Stay away!

Carpet everywhere! And already I could stop here! There's no reception, no bar, nothing! If you get thirsty, there's not even a water-taking machine!

Attended a funeral function. Pleasant staff, good catering (despite running out of tea and coffee initially), nice atmosphere, well connected for public transport.

Photos are very misleading. Communication was terrible. I checked before booking that I could have a ground floor room with a bath, as was staying with my mother who is disabled. They said this was fine, and I booked. I checked again about a month before our check in date, and again it was confirmed we could have ground floor with a bath. I rang again the day before and checked. It was again confirmed. We arrived, there were no hotel staff available, so we had to go into the adjoining bar (run by people, who were VERY helpful and friendly), to be told how to access the hotel. (I'd been sent an email that day giving me a key code, I hadn't seen the email) Unlocked the main door, to be greeted with 2 sets of steep stairs. There was nowhere else to go. I rang the mobile number on the email, no answer. It was 10pm, it was raining, it was cold, I was not happy! We had no choice but to use the stairs. If my mother had been any less able, we would have had to stay in the freezing doorway. *as a side note, she shouldn't have even attempted it. She suffered for it for a few weeks afterwards! Finally got into our room. No bath. Not to mention the poor state of disrepair in the entire room! I called the number again. Finally got an answer, to be told that they don't have any rooms with a bath. And they only have first floor rooms. And that nobody would have told me otherwise and I must be mistaken. So, I'm basically being called a liar. I was furious!

Owner change. To avoid. Away from the Center. No reception. Average cleanliness.

Wow the new management and the staff particularly Aman and Bulgar was very accomadating I was taking pictures at a 21st Birthday Party and they help me and made everything a very smooth experience I can't thank them enough the service was 10/10 and I will be recommend all my friends to book there events there.

Small room and few amenities, no fridge or anything. Nice staff but you'll hardly see them as the hours are 11-5 and the reception is tucked in the back. Check in is at one. It is a nice little hotel however when all you need is a bed at the end of the day.

A nice little guest house in kensal green. I found it a little odd that I didn't see anyone from the hotel (I arrived at 8pm and got security codes to get into the building and the key was in my room). I got in though, and it all worked fine, so wasn't an issue. The hallway did have a bit of a weird smell when walking through, but that didn't affect me (just had to hold my breath when walking along the corridor). The room was lovely. Very big and the bed was a nice four poster. I must say the TV didn't work. I tried all ways to turn it on but I couldn't. That wasn't an issue for me as I don't really watch telly, but may be for someone that likes to chill in the room. It's a tiny and easy fixed issue. The shower was lovely. Good temperature and clean. Nice shower gels and towels etc. The bed was comfy and it wasn't too noisy considering being on a main road. Overall, for the price I paid, I am very happy and would recommend the hotel.

This provided the worst 3 nights of sleep I've ever had. Without air conditioning or fans it was unbearable. The "breakfast" was a sweaty muffin, fiber bar and a juice box. The Wi-Fi didn't work throughout most of the hotel. Also you have to travel up 3 sets of separate stairs to reach some rooms. The banana was the only redeeming factor.

Good location for Wembley. Room not too bad could with a little tlc. Bar and ground floor a building site and only open for private functions. Booked for bed and breakfast £50pp. Went down at 8.30am for breakfast as stated I the I fo book in our room. No breakfast… was told its a managment decision not to serve breakfast, and Was given a kids box with an Asda juice box a muffin and a nutragrain bar! … far from the continental breakfast advertised that we booked and paid for! We had 6 in our party and 3 rooms. Our friends were over the bar and kept awake until gone 2am by a private function. I was unable to sleep as it was so hot in the room. Ok staff cant choose the wether but we couldn't find anyone to ask for a fan. Would not recomend or return and will be contacting managment company to make a formal complaint… thats if I can find who I need to email.

It was all right. But nothing more. Room was small, carpet and walls need to be refreshed. Bathroom was tiny but clean. Breakfast is continental but without anything warm to eat. A litttle overpriced in my opinion. But connection to the city is nice.

Such a shame that they no longer feel the need to open fully as is a beautiful building & could be a great venue. It was ideal for us as our daughter lives nearby & was her 21st so went to Parlour & Paradise just round the corner which both served fabulous food. Only a few caring touches needed to make an amazing place again. We will be back. Am emailing suggestions to the management as think it unfair to post something without giving the host chance to reply to suggestions.

Place to avoid! We are made in the full week to spend there two nights. At our arrival, a man greets us and seems to get lost in the leaves of booking. He does not know our date of check-out,. He then gives us the keys of the house, together with an explanation of the system entrance of the hotel (relatively complicated but secure), but only shows us the not the room. Once installed we realize that the heater (set to maximum) does not have a valve to adjust the temperature! We are in February, but we had not asked for the option sauna. More we are in the attic, it is stuffy and our room smells rank closed. We complain so at the reception. The man takes us for idiots and tells us to open the windows! It may not solve our problem and we explained that other customers have complained. Open the windows was impossible as our room overlooks the terraces… When we want to take a shower, the water is not set on "hot". Hot shower, we are unable to go inside. The man at reception accepted to follow us in the room, it is no excuse of nothing… And after application, we get a different room. When the man opens the door and we see two bunk beds and we grimace. The man answers us very badly that we would do better to shut up and look at the room before. This room was more spacious than the previous one and was hiding a double bed. I explained to him that we have incorrectly reacts without see the rest of the room, because we had a lot of disappointments before that.

I've stayed here several times now and have sampled a number of different rooms. All rooms are clean and tidy if a little basic. Some rooms are much smaller than others but the family triple is particularly roomy. In summer the rooms are hot and there are no fans available which meant sleeping with the windows open. Breakfast varies but the coffee is always good. I've only been here once when an event was on, the pub is not open except for private functions. If you are looking for simply affordable accommodation in London then this is a good bet.

Bastard costomers are all piss heads that hang out on the street all night making noise, pub gives no F***'s about the amounts of alcohol they serve or the people the pub is situated around.

Went to William IV to meet some friends for a drink / good music & was not disappointed.

Had a 60th & 80th birthday party there, everyone had a great time.

Lovely hotel. Cute, in a quiet area near Kensal Green station. The rooms and bathrooms are quite large compared to other standards of London for the same prices.

Used to be a pub and I have been to a lot of birthday parties and other events down there which were good. Has been turned in to an events hire with rooms upstairs for guests. Some friends of ours booked an event there and it was very disappointing. Reading through some of the previous reviews it is apparent this was a good idea which has gone wrong. Shame used to be a good place to go.

The music inside the room friday night was so loud! Impossible to sleep, when I called them, they guy told me to wait until 2am to sleep!

Had a lovely time at this Hotel. It great for parents on a Break staff are amazing and welcoming top marks.

Horribly expensive pub with a horrible vibe. Staff are unfriendly. When there are other places such as Paradise and The Parlour within (very short) walking distance I can't understand why anyone would choose this place.

Ridiculously small room with similarly small bathroom with washbasin (never seen before) 30x15cm. Shabby furniture at the edge of the ruins. Ideal location for "Psycho". Just clean. When you opened the pub (Fri. SAB) No sleeping. Far from Central London. Quite expensive for what it offers (boh!? ). Very calm neighbourhood. It is a cemetery.

We were travelling in London through a travel agency that booked us to stay here. It was terrible. Our room looked NOTHING like any of the pictures. Our shower only had hot water so we took scalding hot showers and the room smelled like a toilet. We figured out that if we kept the toilet lid shut, it reduced the smell. On Friday and Saturday nights the William IV is also a club and so there will be loud music blasting until 2 or 3am. It is also very far from central London. You'll be about a 30-45 minute bus or tube ride from any of the main attractions. Avoid at all costs.

We booked the function room for a birthday party. We had to pay £250 deposit which we would receive back on £1, 000 spend — fine we thought. We thought we would easily reach £750 so anything short of that, we would make up by buying drinks on the night. However, during the evening, the management would not let us know how much we had spent despite repeated requests — this would of given us the option of making it up to £1000 if we were short; what's the point in not spending it if you're going to lose the deposit anyway. Anyway, this underhand tactic really spoilt what might have been a decent night. They also, mentioned they could plumb in the music from the DJ to the function room. There was no DJ and they didn't have the right cable anyway — had to quickly arrange our own music. After the function they were very slow and responding to our complaints about the deposit. After some time they told us we had spent exactly £750. Hmmmm. Wouldn't recommend this place anyway, vibe was not great and the place smelt a bit — I reckon it will be in new management or close down within a year of this post.

We planned on booking our wedding reception and accommodation here as the place looked nice and they were hopeless. The management changed 4 times in three months and each time no one had a clue what we'd said to the last person. On the night of our wedding we got a call at 2am asking if we still wanted to stay in our 'booked rooms' even though we cancelled the booking in writing twice.

Great looking place, very comfortable but totally let down by the food.

Had a sad looking Burger (£10), a Fatty Lamb Joint (£12), a "a bit rubbish and cold too" Beef Roast £14 and a decent Red Snapper… The quality was a £5 burger, £8 roasts and a decent red snapper. Always worrying when someone proudly proclaims "New Chef". What was the old one like?
