The so called unlicensed security wannabe gangster needs lessons in customer service the bloke is an absolute wanker… not sure if it was because I was white and english as he spoke to others ok… huge chip on little shoulders or in other words small cock syndrome.

Allmost no service from the service desk and very loudly room also no towel and Wi-Fi available but no recommended to other people.

I didn't make it past reception. Felt like I was being booked into a south American prison complex. The place feels and looks totally nuts. 3am, totally exhausted, I continued to somewhere else more comfortable, for slightly more.

Don’t be fooled by the flashy images! Worst place ever! The staff seems uninterested in guests, several times they knocked on my door asking who I was and I was in the wrong bed even though I was assigned it when I checked in. Toilets are worse than a grubby public toilet, staff are just ignorant and too familiar with female guests too. The bedrooms are filthy, cramped and the staff actually sleep in guest rooms! The shower is in the bedroom too which makes zero sense whatsoever and is just uncomfortable to use with everyone seeing you. You’d be safer sleeping on the street than here, also watch out for the staff as they’re a little too friendly especially with women. There’s a million rules to follow and you will be asked what’s in your shopping back upon entering again. Avoid at all costs!

I haven't stayed here but have seen the clientele in the front of the hostel and in the park across the road. I am not surprised by the comments here… most seem unsavoury types. Don't stay here if you are the innocent, wholesome backpacker type.

I read all the reviews on here before going and expected the worst. It was slightly better than my expectations. Pros: The beds were clean. The shower was hot. Cons: Loud people outside all through the night. Insanely hot in the summer. Bed frames seemed old and fragile. Someone was able to get into our room with a different key. Toilets in a bad state. We think the staff may have lost a debit card left as deposit. Won't ruin your trip to London but you get what you pay for, which at this point is essentially just a bed.

Most halfway-House style place I have EVER stayed. The price point is the only good thing about it.

Good value for money. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is not Central London but easy to get in on the 18 bus. Bathrooms leave a lot to be desired but are at least unisex. Easy to get a booking in a female four bedroom room which is rare in London.

Hotel was dirty, the bathrooms were vile and clearly unwashed. The bedsheets didnt smell fresh and there was noise all night due to the road and club next door. Staff seemed to be friendly enough.

Well it's definitely a hotel of junkies and beggars. Shower in the room while the building is huge, no dishes in the kitchen, toilet clogged, broken, dirty. How I quoted above the clientele is Space (the guy from the room opposite had urinated in his bed, when to me the guy above my bed is given fun all night in front of the sex videos).
The Wi-Fi is not present everywhere, there is no locker with closure in the rooms (the top view the clientele), you have to leave its valuable business at the reception.
And the staff who didn't smile much.
And the best negative point, the doors of the rooms do not close if you do not push a button inside before going out, so your room can stay open and anyone can get in if a person forgets.
So yes it's cheap but in the end you get the money.

Only gave this place 1 star so I could Wright a review. It should be non. What a sh*to hole. As soon as you walk in you can smell how unclean the place is. The only thing good about it is its easy to get to London. Rooms are filthy and grotty. No hot water that's if you can get any water, a trickle at best. Doors banging and people out on the street shouting untill 5 in the morning right outside the windows. Near a very busy road with buses and lorry going up and down all night. The evening staff were OK but the morning staff very rude. I stayed because I did not have a choice. Take my advice and find something better. I know it's a hostel and cheap but I'd rather sleep in the train station.

Worst hostel I've ever seen. Don't go. It's better to sleep in the street. There is no security, the cleanliness is minimal and the information you get is completely untrue. Do not notice the photos of Booking, are a lie. We had to run out of there.

The worst place I've ever been in my life! Fine mattresses like paper, unwashed sheets, shower with hairs, sucísimo. The staff looks very bad.
A place to avoid!

Very rude and grossly insulting staffer called Emma. I left prematurely. The manager ("E-an") completely denied the reality of my complaint to myself and the organisation I booked through. Thankfully I was later vindicated and refunded.

You get a bed but I found the bathroom to be of poor quality and there was a stench throughout the entire hostel. Breakfast was adequate.

Very cheap hostel next to a Underground station. There is a café, an open kitchen, pool table, ping pong, 24h reception. The 4 bed rooms have a sink and shower, the toilets are shared.

The shower in the room (for 4 people) is tidy. The kitchen disgusting. The only positive thing was that a 2 minutes it's the bus stop or the train station.

So terrible place, was there few times and each time experiencing deep stress, place is smelly and dirty (and between my stays nothing changed) and moldy because shower in the room. Staff is rude. Go there only if you have strong immune system to stress and you are brave.

In four room the shower is too small, only two plugs. The only good thing is that within 2 minutes is the train station or bus stop.

If I will have to choose again, this will be the last place to go. The place is pretty s**t, is very noisy during the night, the doors are really noisy, (everytime when you opened they do a bang, annoiyng, ). People which rent beds there they do hours of work to can stay one more night, si imagine how service is. Toillets:don't go there. (the same like in a jale) They are pretty crafty on the reception becouse when I do check-out they don-t want to give me the 10 £ deposit back becouse said they don't find me one their notebook how I pay the deposit d eposit in euro or pounds, RUBBISH.

First time in a hostel. First experience, wow! Toilet windows looking out the cemenetery! 8 mixed room, ended up with guys always! Sticky guys mostly who snore all night… people downstairs were mostly cool! Of course there is random idiots but overall cool guys and girls that have their own life stories and experiences! And yeah I find all the staff very cool! Advice: learn how to lock the room, dont leave valuables unattended unless you became friends with your roomate, dont drink too much, get used to the smell in the room, and be cool and social!

Worst stay of my life, very dirty and insecure, the people who go there are usually drunks. I had to change rooms three times because the receptionist didn't put my name on the sheet and one of the staff stole my bath towel. Staff rudes, thiefs and worst of all, unhelpful. Think about it, it's the cheaper for some reason… Honesty, staying there will make your trip miserable, just pay a little more and have a decent time, decent bed, decent service…

They appeared to be running a scam here, very insecure. We had a hand written receipt despite booking online and we saw two sets of books. 24 hour security useless and someone was able to get a second key to our room just by asking reception. Doors showed signs of being forced open. Dead bolts not operable. Credit card machine broken even though they successfully charged my deposit just before arriving. They wanted me to use their ATM, which showed signs of being hacked and wouldn't print receipts. Our room had a single light bulb so was very dark compared to the booking pictures. People were smoking pot under our window all night and the hall bathroom stank and didn't have soap or paper towels. Sheets were questionably clean and pillows so thin I used my airplane neck pillow instead. Location convenient to tube, but 30 minutes to Central London. Loud inside and out most of the night. There was a lift, but the lobby door had been blocked off and appeared to not have been used for years. Mixed crowd, but seemed to have a large number of migrants to the country. Wi-Fi not usable.

It is at good proximity to tube and bus stops and is thus very less expensive for the location. But the hostel is very badly maintained. Bathrooms are very untidy. Felt like running away.

When someone showers in the room all the sheets in the beds get damp so uncomfortable staff were rude and dismissive, my door didn't lock just an overall uncomfortable feel for the place, yes it's cheap but there are other places the same price that are 100x better.

Overbooked and swapped our double room for bunk beds. A free basic continental breakfast was offered as compensation but no offer of discount for the worse room. Rooms dirty — we found used tissues under the bed. The manager decided to have an argument with a guest right outside our room late at night rather than relocating to an area away from sleeping residents. Other than these hiccups, the facilities were adequate but I would never pay the asking price, only stay if you get a good deal online.

The bathroom. Yes, one cannot put into words except that it was probably an absolute germ sling! You didn't clean up for weeks! Black mold in the shower, dirt, hair and who knows what else was in the sink.
At the toilet. Yes well what should I say about it except exchange on existence as keimig as it was.
Those who value health should avoid the hostel in any case!

Good solution if you are a group of friends or if you have a very limited budget, but don't expect to sleep tight…

The bathrooms are old and don't work. The two kitchens are tiny and aren't stocked with even soap. The refrigerators are in the café which doesn't open until 9am. The rooms are dark and crammed with beds. Not worth the money at all.

It was cheap, but the shower was in the room… that was really awful.

For those on a shoe-string budget, and who don't mind an ecclectic environment, it is the best place to crash in London. Train station is 3 minutes' walk away and it takes 14 minutes by overground from Euston Station. Night buses also stop within a few minutes walk. Clean beds and rooms, usable toilet facilities.

Good zone, (London zone 2) very close to the tube station Kensal Green and to the bus station (route 18) nice place, clean, very very cheap for this area of London, friendly and diverse people, friendly staff,. JUST EXCELLENT! It worth it!

Cheaper hostel in London, very close to public transport, with 24h/7d reception and more than 12 people in staff for housekeeping, cooking, always gently and polite! Very improved service in last months!

Staff rude and unhelpful, bed wasnt made when arrived. Requested a bottom bunk due to mobility issues but got given top.

Ok place, not great Wi-Fi, the rooms are really hot and the service leaves a lot to desire.

I stayed here just for one night. There is no elevator. Shower booth within the room. No restroom in the room. Light is very weak. and my wallet got stolen. What made me shock was they acted like they dont even care about it. I asked them to call the police but they want me to do it by my self. And they keep ignored me while I am standing in front of the reception for their help. What they asked me back what do I want for them to do. This was my first trip by myself in UK. And I experienced other good things too but this place is where you should avoid. i mean it.

The worst hostel of not just london, but all the world. I can't even describe how disgusting was. I was about to gag sometimes entering in the worst toilette that I have ever seen. Many times I thought to go sleeping under london bridge during my stay. The staff was really rude and makes fun of you in their languange (I speak french stupid stuff). The rooms are so little and you are not gonna breathe during the night for the absence of ossigen if you don't open the window, but surprise you will have cars and ambulance passing the all night. I am saying that it's cheap this hostel but there is a reason. P. S It's in front of cemetery so it's creepy as well (If the drug dealers in front the door are not creepy enough) I'd have a lot to say but I am to disgusted by this place that I don't want to think about. God the toilette are horrible and always closed with no window so.

Shower and toilets broken Wi-Fi only in some places in the hallways you have to return the keys before 10:00 with the note otherwise they do not make the deposit of the key (something that is not specified when you arrive)

Worst hostel ever. Run away! Don't go there. First, it's dirty, really dirty. It smells horrible. The staff don't communicate, so they don't know what happens in the hostel, they enter your room without knocking, there's always noise, they drink alcohol, they put music super loud. No just go away. I'm not even sure this hostel is "legal"… if inspection, they're screwed. Don't go there. Really.

Check in was easy and the room was clean. Add that to the amazing price and location, and I expect I'll stay here for all future trips to London.

Throughout my life I have been in places good, regular, bad and terrible… This gets out of the scale below.

The rooms were kind of clean, I had to walk through two hallways in order to get to a toilet which was quite uncomfortable at night. You literally have a shower cabin in your room which makes showering quite uneasy and not private at all. The beds are jammed up against each other. My ladder was apparently broken so the first time I tried to get up into my bed I almost fell. Upon our arrival we had to pay by cash for our 16-day stay. We did not have that kind of money on us. The nearest ATM in the local grocery store did not accept our cards. Bottom line, there is no ATM machine near the hostel, it takes a 10 minute walk in order to get to the nearest one. The personnel was okay I guess, but a lot of them did not speak English properly. The kitchen was lacking equipment, all of it. You have to bring your own pots, pans, plates and cutlery. A lot of the clients of the hostel are causing issues, one time our hallway was covered in a trail of drops of blood and we heard people fighting and passionately arguing quite often.

It is absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed at! The shower in the room did not work, no pressure and hardly any warm water. There was mould in the window. The beds were broken in some places and some of the pillows could not be called pillows because they were so flat! In the middle of the night we were awakened by the sound of a key in the door. They had given our room to another group! We were part of a larger group and everyone had staff opening their room in the middle of the night! The toilets were disgusting. I would never set my foot in this place again! Hell on Earth! I would give it a minus star if I could!

The location is great as is out of the metro, rooms are not bad and the employees are very nice. The only thing that the Wi-Fi you have to pay it separately.

The place is a little run down and you have to take the tube to get anywhere from there. But it is cheap and if you just sleep there a couple of hours it is fine.

It was nearly impossible to find, and when I did find it, you could only pay in cash. It was in the middle of nowhere and the bathrooms were in the hall but the "private" showers in the room weren't private at all.

I would not recommend it for someone to travel only. Pros: I had a very mixed atmosphere, so you could meet different people and experience a little more the life of the good traveller ragged rather than stay in an elitist student pension and not get out of your bubble. In addition, was very cheap. And the girl at the reception was kind enough to put me in a room with six beds just for girls rather than in a mixed eight-bed room as I had booked and without changing me the price. Almost everyone who worked at the front desk were very friendly. But the truth is that the cleaning was much that wish. The pillow was so ugly that I used my own coat to support the head. The shower was narrow and could not watch your stuff while you bathe yourself… the fourth lock locking much. The bed not seemed very hygienic, by which I slept with the clothes put and not I could bathe. The corridors seemed of a film of terror and in the bathroom of my plant not had paper toilet. It is super far away from the Center, also, and get there cost me some time. The area also seems 100% safe of night, although of day is another history. Breakfast was not ugly, but it is not free, I notice! The Wi-Fi worked terribly poorly and was not free, you charged as two pounds, I think. In the end, which I do not recommend it to people little accustomed to sleeping in hostels. Maybe it wouldn't be bad if you're in a group and want to save and live an adventure.

The worst place you could stay for a night. Bought for two nights but after one left because of extremely bad conditions. In our room were a few homeless who came for a night. Stink, dirt, etc.

DON'T EVER GO THERE! The staff is very friendly and helpful as long as it's not about money. The hostel itself is nothing more than horrific! Incredibly dirty, dodgy, moldy, the wallpapers are loose, the toilets are in a bad condition, the so called kitchens are the worst and there is NOTHING, I've seen a tiny pan but there are no pots, dishes, silverware, not even dish washing soap. The beds are old, partly broken and so squeaky that we weren't able to sleep longer than three hours in total. (They squak as soon as someone lying in them breathes) The Wi-Fi is NOT FREE although it is stated on the web. DON'T EAT THAT BREAKFAST ALTHOUGH YOU WANT TO GET SICK! Just the looks of it is absolutely nauseating. So I paid for three nights and after the first night I got a call from home that my grandma died so I had to go back home right away and I even had to fight with them over my £10 deposit, which you HAVE to make. Not even speaking of the £30 for the unused last two nights although it was not even close my fault that I had to leave. So the overall picture: it's cheap, yes, but it's a total waste of money, time and nerves. There are other hostels in London that are affordable as well and WAY better. Spare yourself this horrific experience!

The lady at the desk was so helpful when I said I urgently needed access to my gmail account. They also allowed me to use the loos which I really needed. I would happily recommend it. I did not end up staying there overnight but I would happily do so in the future.

This hostel was the worst I've ever stayed in. Problem 1. Waited almost 35 minutes to be seen at reception and when seen to service was not pleasing and could feel negative tension between staff members 2. Had to change room second night and it smelt and room was very untidy 3. Female member of staff on 11/7/15 was rude and would not listen 4. I asked receptionist for telephone number for owner and said they did not know or have it 5. Would not recommend anyone to stay at this hostel 6. All the staff members need training on how to greet and hospitality. Very poor.

I was there in September 2014 for a week: having read all these bad reviews I came prepared psychologically and maybe that's why, maybe, I didn't find too bad. The hostel has a great value for your money because in the end with 10 pounds a night, in London no one is home. As for the clientele are mostly Spanish and Italian guys looking for work. The major inconvenience is that the shower in the room, literally in the room: directly the shower stall next to beds and just undress you do stunts. I've been alone and I'm not sure if I would repeat the experience. One tip that I can give you is to book for groups of 6, you can of course, so that you don't have unknown room since the rooms are from 6.

I am extremely unhappy with the state this hostel is in. In the middle of the night, a man had to be removed from the rooms causing a big noise and I am very unhappy. I will not recommend anyone to stay in this hostel. I have asked for a refund because it is impossible to live in those conditions and they refuse to refund me. Worst hostel I have ever been to.

Extremely unsanitary, rude people, specially one blonde Spanish in the reception, impossible to talk to that person, never go to this hostel, scammers, you will pay for what they should pay you (living in terrible conditions).

This hostel is not nice, it is not well maintained and the showers are in the rooms so no privacy! Many people live in these rooms and are therefore not in a friendly spirit. It is just annoying to their eyes and do feel! out of 5 I would put a score of 1. Very disappointed with my friend, it made our stay less enjoyable and very tiring! Even if it is cheap I would recommend not.

The absolute worst hostel I have ever stayed in, and I've seen several, dirty, disorganized, none of the staff spoke good English, and you pay pratimente for everything. Avoid it, there are quite a few in London very best.

Stayed here last night. Paid roughly £23 quid each for a 6 person dorm, which is very reasonable but the place is hardly a palace. The sheets were pretty grubby and the pillow consisted of a pillowcase full of broken pieces of sponge. The mattress was so awful it was laughable. The springs were barely covered with thin material — no cushioning at all, and the rest of the mattress was full of huge dents running down the entirety of it. I had to climb up the sink to get into my bunk as there are no ladders and the metal bars at the ends of the bed, where your pillow is, are extremely painful when you flop your head down into them, three times. Unfortunately there was a shouty man shouting all night, outside the hostel and traffic noise was awful despite having the windows shut. Toilets seemed fairly clean and tidy. I Wouldn't stay again, but if I were 10 years younger I'd probably put up with it for the convenience of staying somewhere cheap in London.

Beds were small and not great. No ladders on the beds. Shower was ok. Overall it was average.

Hostel with a single, great plus point: the location literally 20 metres from Kensel green and its metro station. For the rest you have to have a hair on the stomach from homeless Pro. Beds so I haven't seen since the naja. Breakfast is not included, but if you go over hygiene conditions can you fill up and pull forward until 13. Abstain hygienists and picky. But if they return to London we slept again. Also spending twice the norm in other ostellia does not improve.

Nothing about this hostel was satisfactory, beginning with the checkin. First, they couldn't find my booking. Then, when I showed them the booking confirmation that I had printed off, they assigned me a room. Then I found out that I was paying more than the normal going rate. Then I found out they only accepted cash, for the full amount, and I didn't have it on me. All this after waiting 15 minutes just to check in. Then, I went up to the room and everything was filthy. The kitchen was locked at breakfast time so I couldn't make my own. The internet and TV room was locked at night when I came back. Not recommended.

They have people working in a smelly room, do not charge anything, they work four hours sleep, comes les time to less than 2 euros. They do not respect, treat you like an exclavo, especially the German that aque shouts and abuses. No more exploitation in hostel 639, they work 4 hours just for sleepk, and mistreat you, meanly that german, who is a real animal.
