It was an excellent experience. A true pet friendly hotel. The Continental breakfast was more than continental breakfast. It’s very generous and staff in the restaurant are very friendly and accommodating.

Staff here are the best. We were greeted and welcomed upon arrival. Enjoyed the sense of humor! Very clean facility.

I was a visiting guest and I was very impressed with the suite's layout.

Dogs roaming the hotel up on the furniture… loud party in the lobby bar partying until well after 1 am and the hotel did nothing to quiet it. They allowed the entrance to be blocked, we had to walk through dozens of people smoking outside the front door. Overall bad experience from a doubletree.

The hospitality is on point. After a day of traveling, that warm chocolate chip cookie was the best cookie I've ever had. Rooms are spacious and clean. Plan to uber if you want to dine away from the hotel as there is nothing within walking distance. The food at the hotel is good and reasonably priced.

The hotel and room was clean. The conference rooms were great and met every expection. Several places within walking distance to eat. The only negative remark for this review was; The front desk clerk, Sylvia, who checked me (and the people in my group) was VERY rude! She even suggested we go to another hotel. There were 2 other clerk's who were nice and helpful, but Sylvia felt the need to step away from one customer check-in to interfere with our check in.

I have stayed at this Hotel 3 times in the last 3 weeks while visiting family member recovering from surgery. I don’t have 1 negative thing to say. Front staff is awesome, I have become friends with the staff at the restaurant, bar and even the Bellman. Was even asked how my family member was doing. Breakfast is great and I was called by my name when I entered the restaurant. The Bellman may even Yodel for you. Rooms are nice and clean and the bar menu is awesome.

My visit was for a one day training with the company. Parking was easily accessible. Conference room was clean very spacious. Lunch was provided and delicious. The staff were extremely courteous and professional. A very good experience.

I stayed here over night on business last week and would never do so again. I booked my reservation through a third party, which the hotel ignored and somehow overwrote, charging my credit card again for the full amount of the room. When I called they realized their error immediately. I received a call later that night from the Revenue Manager that it had all been sorted out and the charge refunded. Two full business days later, there is not even a pending reversal of the charge, and trying to call this hotel is a nightmare — the phone will ring 40+ times and then simply disconnect you. I'm disgusted by the level of service and disregard for customers and would never recommend this place to anyone. I will be filing a chargeback dispute against this merchant with my credit card company.

Lovely hotel, very helpful and friendly staff who are efficient in all they do. The buffet breakfast was great. All staff were great, from cashier to all servers and buffet workers. And the food selection was varied and tasty… You name it, it was offered on the buffet… Eggs, omelets made to order, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy and biscuits, French toast. Yogurt, fresh fruit, potatoes, and assortment of breads and told and Danish. All yummy.

I've stayed at many Hilton Hotels… and in general, they are decent. The staff here was very nice here, but it ends there. This hotel needs some help. A building can be old while still being updated and clean. The elevator was my first indication of an issue. It's gross. Seriously, spend some $$ and give your guests a clean, updated ride up to their floor. Then the room… shower head flops all around and we had to stand up against the wall to get under it. It wouldn't stay up. The sink area… well… the previous guest must have emptied his electric razor because the whiskers were all over the backsplash area. The small "refrigerator" froze our drinks overnight. They need new mattresses. Absolutely not up to Hilton STD there at all. Bathroom door sticks. The ironing board wobbled so much I nearly knocked the iron off of it 3 times. Sorry but if you want to be Hilton branded, u need to be up to the Hilton Std to get a positive review.

Hotel was very clean and the beds were very nice. The staff have been very helpful and made you feel welcome. All in all I would stay there again without a doubt.

Very nice and elegant. The school had a banquet there and it was amazing. Beautiful building with a nicely decorated.

Had to wait in line for a couple minutes, but the staff was very organized on getting people in and seated. I'm a lover of seafood so there was a nice variety of seafood to choose from. Our waiter was excellent about keeping our table cleaned, and refilling our drinks.

I went there for my senior prom and the hotel was just gorgeous with excellent space and proper A/C control for when we boogied down.

The service is excellent, and the beds and pillows are some of the best you'll ever feel. 5/5 would completely recommend to everyone. Warning though, the front revolving door can be a little scary at first.

This hotel is in a convenient location and meets the standards of a three star hotel. There was nothing either great or poor to report about this hotel. Overall I was satisfied with my stay.

Though a the place is a little outdated, it has a nice, laid back atmosphere. The staff where fast enough to bring our request for towels and the beddings for the pull out bed. buffet breakfast on the other is worst! same food for the last two days… an unappealing scrambled eggs, dried taters tots and dried bacon! no bagels, pancakes, muffins, pancakes machine nor healthy choices. Not to mention stuff that don’t smile!

Nice atmosphere, a little dated but still in good shape. Not a destination but a decent place if it's convenient to where you need to go. Great staff.

Very dissatisfied with the service. Attended a conference for the 2nd year here and the elevators we're still under disrepair. Spent a good chunk of money at the hotel restaurant but dealt with an extremely cold manager when asked if we could buy a scoop of their fake tasteless scrambled eggs off the buffet to take to our service dog. We were told that we would have to order from the menu at three dollars an egg! She finally got us a scoop in a container but then complained to the desk about our request. We thought we were being polite not to take the dog into the food area. The banquet food at dinner was mediocre. Many barely touched plates were returned. The toilet in the room was very hard to flush and gurgled for a while after flushing. The only good thing to report was that the bed was comfortable and the TV worked. Oh, and the ice machine was broken on our floor. Sorry folks. Won't be back.

We attended an Irish dancing feis which was located in the massive events room on the second floor. The competition was great, but the space required for multiple dance floors was tight. The spectator area was limited in seating compared to other venues we have travelled to. We did not stay overnight, but the staff was kind and helpful.

This is the first hotel I've been in that did not have towel racks in the bathroom! And I haven't slept in a full size bed since I lived at home with Mom and Dad. Plus there are not enough power outlets for the business traveler and they charge $1 a page for copies. I would not recommend this hotel. However, the staff in the restaurant were very nice.

The DoubleTree in Richmond was outstanding. As soon as we entered we were welcomed with cheerful and helpful ladies. Our room was warm and clean and the staff treated us like Kings and queens. Would stay there again.

I attended a professional conference. Double Tree should consider stepping it up. The bathrooms needed cleaning, the toilet paper consistently ran out, and some toilets were stopped up. I'm sure some liked the food. I didn't. The meals tasted like they came out of a box. Disappointed.

There with a large group so our breakfast was a buffet in a very large meeting room. Rooms are very nice. Quite comfortable and clean. Price a notch high but not too bad.

Check in was quick and smooth. Stayed on the 8th floor, elevators worked without issue. Room was tidy. Bed was extremely comfortable. No issues with noise. Check out was quick and easy. Would definitely stay again.

Nice size rooms, clean hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast. There were many events when I visited and parking at night was a little difficult. Lobby had a bar and seating area with many guests watching a baseball game. There is a hotel and a dance club which I did not use.

We had fabulous time, food was excellent, music was the greatest and service was the best'est ever … fun night.

Attended Virgina Jump$tart conference. Great venue for any conference! Continental breakfast was excellent with many choices. Coffee was excellent. Conference room and breakout session rooms were well appointed. Lunch service staff were very accommodating and friendly. Lunch was fresh and delicious!

Thanks for allowing the Women of the UDC to meet at your location. Your staff, all employees I came in contact were so kind, polite, friendly faces and a pleasure to meet. The housekeeper on 3rd met us with a beautiful smile as we went back to our room on Saturday. Highly recommended!

The staff was friendly and the bar was fairly well stocked. The drinks were good and the venue was perfectly fine for the event. We had a good time at the convention!

Nice reasonably priced hotel with a great staff and full service restaurant. Near restaurants and shopping. Renovated guest rooms are a bit small but comfortable. Common areas show some age but overall a good night's sleep.

Nice Hotel with large lobby bar and ballrooms. Rooms were clean and staff was good. Ice machines worked. AM breakfast buffet for our organized event was also good.

Overall a decent hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, my room was noisy and prevented me from getting a good night's rest. The small refrigerator in my room was extremely loud, the toilet ran forever when flushe, I heard content noise outside. The elevators also took forever to come. The staff however was friendly and courteous.

I would like to say I did not stay a night here, so I can't attest to the overnight accommodations, but I was invited to an Amway scam in the basement of this hotel last night and I think it's shady the hotel would rent itself out to barely legal business. If you get invited to this hotel with very little information from someone like a co-owner or sibling about a "business opportunity" selling "every day items", don't go! It's Amway trying to get you to spend money on a start up kit that won't actually make you any money and is a serious waste of time. I can't believe the hotel would risk it's reputation by allowing for this, but it did. Keep out the rift raff who are trying to scam your guests out of lots of money.

Very average hotel. Two elevators that were slow and took forever to get us up and down. Very limited food options. Breakfast is NOT free and for what they charge it should have been of much higher quality. While we were out, someone entered our room and left us a full toilet… unflushed… seat up. Nothing stolen but they sure left us something. Hotel staff didn't seem to care. Water pressure wasn't good… coffee wasn't good. The A/C worked well and the bed was okay. There are better choices at better prices in Richmond.

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 3 years. I have never had any concerns in the past. Unfortunately, this time I was not overly satisfied. The conference center, restaurant, bar and everything except my room was good. My room smiled like mold or mildew and the fix that was provided was to spray a fragrance around the room. They also put a urinal deodorizer pad on the vent of the air conditioner. I told them that the filter on the AC needed to be replaced, but that was not done. Every time the AC came on, the smell got worse. I also discovered that the TV in the room would not turn on. The bed was not comfortable and the what looked to be thick pillows simply deflate when you lay you head on them. Overall, I was not pleased with my room on the 5th floor.

The chairs used in the conference rooms are extremely uncomfortable. There are little flying bugs in every room we have worked out of. They seem to have not thought about parking because some times I have had to park off of the location because it is booked for events. The food in the restaurant is Ok. I have had four different meals. One of them I had to send back and not eat. It was horrible. There is one particular staff member who is awesome. She is the supervisor in the restaurant. She has always been extremely kind and helpful, even to coworkers who were not eating.

Very nice and helpful staff. The rooms are nice and clean. The hotel is right off the express way, so there are plenty of places for diner close and the hotel offers a free shutle in a 5 mile radius. They also have a bar and restaurant in the hotel but I have not tried it yet.

Had to stay here for a business trip would not stay again. They need to step up their cleaning efforts. The one hallway had a cigarette or possibly pot smell. Noticeable dust around bedskirt.

Nice quality rooms, good service, and cleanliness. They have a partnership with the fitness center across the street and their facility is amazing for any lifter. They also have fitness classes such as spinning, zumba, yoga, and water zumba. All in all the whole package that the hotel offers is great!

Wonderful experience. Attended an event that included met ngs all day, a luncheon, dinner banquet. And overnight stay. Accommodations were Wells suited for all our needs and in a great location as well.

Worst hotel experience ever this year this hotel was hosting and event for my school. First they over booked the hotel and without telling people they moved some people to another hotel. Than when I called to check on my reservation I was told I had a one night stay at the hotel after saying that was not correct the front desk manager was very NASTY. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

Hotel is older but remodeled. Rooms are small but clean. Overall, the hotel just is not as fancy as it claims to be in its marketing and price point. Wi-Fi OS a good example of this. It is advertised as high speed but is intermittent and sub 5 Mbps. That's unacceptable for any location looking to be considered modern and high-end.

I attended a wedding reception here and loved it. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff were attentive and sweet as well!

Nice rooms, love the cookies offered. Unfortunately room service neglected to refill my coffee service for my second morning. Other than that, everything was clean and the staff were very nice.

The room was nice, and the bed was super comfortable, however the internet service was very spotty. At one point, it completely stopped working in my room, and I wasn't able to complete the work that I was doing. Since this was a business trip, it really impacted my work. The front desk personnel were not very friendly, and didn't even give us cookies when we checked in (one of the biggest perks of staying at a Doubletree). They didn't even mention the cookies, until I asked for them the next day. Every question we asked was met with a blunt response, and not much personality. The room was nice, the overall feeling of the hotel was not pleasant, and the internet accessibility was wretched.

The restaurant was clean and inviting. The wait staff was attentive and pleasant. I just love the atmosphere. They made our entire party feel appreciated and it was clear they wanted our business!

This is the best place to stay. We came from Illinois for Thanksgiving with family. Everyone is very attentive. Food is great. We needed wheelchair accessible room. It is a very nice room. I would highly recommend staying here. And will do so on our next visit.

The building itself is outdated but once you're inside you'll find a pleasant bar clean rooms with a location close to multiple restaurants. The front desk staff and the shuttle driver I've always been extremely accommodating. I've stayed at this hotel for five times this year and each time enjoyed my stay.

Was part of a day long event with the company I work at. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The decor was nice and everything seemed new and clean. The food was decent and we enjoyed our time there.

Did not stay overnight: attended hotel for a conference. Hotel appeared clean and staff was friendly. Cannot comment on rates or amenities but would consider this hotel based on staff and appearance.

The location was in a weird spot because it was somewhat hidden off the main road. I'm not too familiar with the richmond area and it's hotels but definitely a nice place to stay. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because some rooms were dark and the location. Other then that great staff and good food. I had a great time!

This hotel is actually pretty nice and staff were welcoming. The fresh chocolate chip cookies are amazing. The reason for the negative rating is this: This hotel has previously hosted, and will be hosting the controversial "historical " group the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV). The SCV claims to preserve their Southern history and heritage, but they misrepresent history, glorify war and slavery, and erase the brutal history of my slave ancestors. The SCV shouldn't get cookies for that.

We chose to stay there in Nov2014 and were very pleased with the ability to bring our pets. We were very careful to abide by all requirements. Our dogs were behaved and were a hit with other guests. Now we see that pets are not allowed. These are our children. It is sad to see a dwindling number of NICE hotels forbidding our family members. We will be staying elsewhere next Nov.

To whom it may concern, I called the toll free number today and a gentleman was not just rude but straight out disrespectful. Funny when you are trying to spend money for a hotel that day on your cell phone with a credit card in hand, right? Not really. I even mentioned that I would like to speak to someone who could help me. His response was – “You need to tell me the hotel, it’s not my job to find one”… really? I thought that was part of being a Hilton Honor member… since the points, benefits, etc due not equate to the Marriott program. Please let them know I appreciate what they do. And let the rude man at Hilton Honors know he almost lost a customer. Lucky for him when I arrived the HOTEL STAFF WAS GOLD 5 STARS. (and every one of the 100 employees of my company will know it as well)

Nice bar / lounge, Dj played good music, mature crowd. Got there 20 mins b4 closing on a Fri. Nite. Not sure what cover is, it's Cozy n cool!
