Dirty rooms bathroom is gross.

First let me tell you the breakfast bar was so good they have good food good service and very clean breakfast line. Now let me tell you about my room I is in room 302 the room itself was very nice the bathroom what dirty a lot of hair was on the floor around the commode in the commode there was a dirty wash cloth under the sink it look like it was there for a couple weeks besides having a dirty bathroom I love the other part of the bedrooms and I will come back again.

They allow parties with 10+ people in the guestrooms. Manager is never available, refuses to return calls, no coffee ready during breakfast, nothing but empty trays at 8.15 am. If you run into issues, call the corporate number, they will return your money.

Very dirty hotel. Rooms smell musky, towels and sheets were nasty and yellow!

The receptionist is extremely rude. Hung up on me and refused to answer the phone or allow me to speak with a manager. Something needs to be done. Just unexceptional service.

The staff is nice and the Wi-Fi works very well. Everything else is lacking. The building needs an entire renovation. Old, disrepair, dirty, overpriced for value, lack of parking. This is essentially a cheap motel disguised as a respectable hotel. Pictures of dirty AC vent built up with trash and dust, bathroom vent built up with rust and dust, rusty and soap scum shower-head, random wall holes throughout room, and dirty/torn/missing window curtains. This place needs to be inspected by the Health Department, Better Business Bureau, Tourism Board, and Radisson.

This place started off rough the first night through to the last. After checking in with the front desk and being placed into a dirty room with tissue paper stuck in the windows to seal them, finding a hole in the ceiling, and hair all over the bathroom floor we immediately requested a different room. The staff member at the desk was kind enough to then upgrade us to a suite due to the inconvenience; however, the suite was just as dirty as the first room we were shown with the floors not showing any sign of cleaning, the furniture stained with cup and finger marks everywhere, and the fridge still carrying the remanence from the last guests meal. After informing the staff at the front desk we were told “sorry but housekeeping is gone until the morning, you can tell them tomorrow morning yourselves what you would like cleaned. “ Having no other hotel options for the dates we needed we had no other choice but to clean up the mess and stay BUT this place was not only dirty but loud and disruptive the entire stay.

Do NOT stay here! The hotel smells and the room are not very clean. I was moved to 3 different rooms in a 24 hour period. Room the toilet didn't work. Room the air conditioning didn't work. Room dirty towel on the bathroom floor. I wish, I could give this place a — 4 but I can't.

The stay was ok, a bit unorganized. We checked in but had us go to a room that was already occupied. Then another guest walked into our room. I think if they get their system back to working correctly it won't lead to potentially embarrassing moments for their guests. Breakfast may need to begin as listed, not an hour or two afterwards. Otherwise the stay was great:)

I stay at the hotel to assist my sister with a sleep over for her granddaughter because her daughter was in the hospital and could not attend the sleep over for her 7 year old child. I have to say that the staff, not just one person, but everyone we encountered, was very kind, courteous and helpful. My neice and her friends enjoyed themselves and grandmother and I survived the night. Also the breakfast was better than IHOP! The hotel room and other areas were very clean.

The mini muffins are soooo good. The pool is also pretty great too, and the beds are super comfy. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go get more muffins.

Horrible not clean roaches in all of our rooms front desk clerk is horrible linen was not changed proper room was supposed to be cleaned but was not much done at all. Front desk clerk babysitting while at work by the way she needs to be fired was not nice at all to more than one customers holla at guest I am and the company I work for will never stay here again.

Add 3 more roaches to the arsenal A Lopez. This place sucks from the run down doors, to the swimming pool, to the dirt parking lot out front. This should definitely be a two star hotel. You can also hear your neighbor breathe; that's how hollow these walls are. I'm not sure why everyone is saying the staff is very nice… You ever met the Indian guy and lady who walks around with tools? They're not very nice people. The guy bumped into my 8 year old son and didn't apologize or anything. I'll never stay here again.

I must say as a frequent traveller here in Sumter, this has got to be the friendliest staff I have encountered thus far. I am a constant customer of the holiday inn express which has superior customer service. But when things we booked I chose here for the very first time and once again I must say it is awesome. I do wish I had the spiny office chair at the desk but other that that hands down I recommend this place.

First morning at this hotel I woke up early to shower before work and realized my shower had no shower curtain. Took a shower anyway cause I had to get going, then politely used the towels to clean up the water which got outside the shower and onto the floor as to not leave a mess for the cleaning staff. Notified staff on my way out I needed a shower curtain. Came home from work and they had replaced the shower curtain, but hadn't made the bed or replaced a single towel. The (empty) towel rack is falling off the wall and there are multiple very poorly patched holes on the wall. Upon check in the room coffee maker was still full of old coffee from presumably the last guest. There seems to be no attention to detail among the staff, and for a hotel that runs about 100 a night I've stayed at Super 8's that were nicer than this place. The one star is because breakfast was reasonably decent.

Took a picture of one of 7 roaches I found room 125 we started in room 107 and the room smelled terrible we later found mold on the walls and the room above was leaking into 107. It cost just the same as the Holliday inn across the street they were just booked out. Would not stay here again.

For 111 plus dollars a night it is not worth the money. The 65 a night sleep inn is just as good. Our rooms always had water problems and the whole bathtub was falling apart. Beds are also a little uncomfortable. The only thing I liked about the place was the extreamly nice staff and how nice the soap smells/feels.

I've been traveling to Sumter for business for over 4 years. When I first started, this was one of the better hotels. They began doing remodeling so I started staying elsewhere during the construction. With the majority complete I was excited to return. Unfortunately the results didn't match my expectations. The good: staff is always friendly, new breakfast area looks nice and new lobby is comfortable and inviting. Bad: It appears most of the remodeling was done with short cuts. Walls were painted without patching cracks or removing lights/hardware/corner guards. The hardware has not been updated and light fixtures are dated. All in all its a fair place to stay, however it won't my first choice when visiting Sumter.

The front desk person that was on duty was named Laura and she was the sweetest, best dressed, woman I have ever met. And her nails were gorgeous. She was very helpful and explained the details for breakfast and the Wi-Fi. She is definitely the face that should great everyone due to she was friendly and made me fell welcome.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past but this time it wasnt as good as before. My room lacked an iron so I was a wrinkled mess all day. The breakfast appeared only half way put out at 7am (no danishes, no syrup, not much of anything really) and the coffee by the front desk was cold. The staff was friendly as always though and they even let me check out late so I could freshen up before the long drive home.

The bathtub was clogged so it was extremely difficult to shower without dirty water backing up. Then the room phone doesn't work when I tried to report the room problem. They're also renovating… and I have allergies… so my sinuses were blocked and here I am posting my negative review at 5 in the morning because I can't sleep. Wait till they finish renovating. The people seemed helpful but they can't help the fact it's being renovated and the bathtubs clogged. Try another place.

Extremely friendly staff — front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast! Variety at breakfast — hot food, cold cereal, fruit and yogurt. Pool and gym are open 24 hours. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

My husband and I stayed here over the weekend. This is our 2nd time staying within four years. They have done a whole lot of remodeling since our last visit. The place looked fantastic. Staff is very friendly and the hotel was extremely clean. We had a King size room and it was very spacious with all new furniture. They have a free breakfast that was decent. All in all really nice place to stay and not that far from Charleston, SC.

This was my first time staying at this hotel until they took 250.00 off my credit card before me and my boyfriend went to the room we call the hotel and we ask how much a room is for one night she said it was 78.00 dollars with tax so we agree that we would of stayed so when we arrived at the hotel between 10:30 and 11:00 o'clock we ask the staff what all including with the room she said free hot breakfasts, 24 hours open pool, and 24 hour open fitness room, so we was excited to stay so I gave her my credit card the staff did not told us that all the rooms was nonsmoking so as I gave her my credit card and more information about me she gave us the key too our room and hour later we came back down and ask the staff do they sell matches she told us no/. Not did she only let us know that this was and nonsmoking room so we had to walk and get some matches from another hotel that do sell matches we check out 11:00 O'Clock that morning I came back home find out that 150.00 was taken out my account so I call my card and they told that country inn suite taken my money I would not stay hear More because these people will take advange over your money.

Seen pubic hair on one of the towels, sheets had a big blue stain in them and the pillows smelled like old bus seats. Those pillow cases were used and definitely not washed. Room could be 15.00 less than what they are.

Do not stay here. You have been warned! This place is filthy and disgusting. They will take more money than the amount of nights you agreed on. They will take advantage of you! The room had dirty sheets, roaches and a condom wrapper in the drawer! They took out an extra night's worth from my bank. When I called the corporate office, they secretly put the manager of this location on a 3 way call with me as I told them about my experience. Then proceeded to allow the manager to argue with me over the phone. They still have not taken off the charge. Do not stay here.

Noisy rooms, listless staff, make this place a loser. I'm completing a 5 day stay here for work and won't be coming back. It looks nice. However, the refrigerator is loud, the air conditioning is loud, I can hear people through the walls, the parking lot can be heard clearly from the room, and god help you if it rains. Every TV station is fuzzy, but you get two TVs. There is no night light in the bathrooms so you need to turn on lights if you get awoken at 4:30 by rain in the remarkably loud gutters outside. Breakfast could be worse, but the staff is super slow to refill anything. I waited 20 minutes for additional gravy to be brought out. I don't know if it ever came, I had to go to work. There is only one carafe of regular coffee. Check in was very slow and even though I had my club Carlson account number, they refused to enter it. Staff seems to be minimal, I never saw more than one person at the front desk. And now I can hear a car alarm outside at 6am. The outside doors do not have card readers so if you park o the back side of the building, you will need to walk around to the front door. In short, there are better options nearby.

I'm huge on customer service and with that being said I didn't even stay there. I was told I could check in ahead of time, I called on my way. When I arrived the clerk lied and said she never said that. When my boyfriend came inside which is who called she tried to change her story. I cannot stand a liar. We stayed across the street and the Holiday Inn express, wonderful experience.

This hotel STOLE MY DEPOSIT! After accusing me of smoking in their room. The room was not smoked in and even the maids said it didn't smell like smoke. My $125 (overpriced) deposit was kept and they advised that if I did not leave the authorities would be called. I called corporate only to get the run around. Don't trust these thieves.

I stayed at this hotel for business recently, after receiving a good corporate rate. I was excited by the nice looking pool and fitness area, and was automatically upgraded to a larger room which was a nice touch. I was not impressed by the smell of the room when I first walked in. It was also noisy, as I could hear tvs and conversations on both sides of the room. At night, I would turn on the A/C just to cover that sound up. There was no warm water the next morning, so I didn't get a chance to shower before heading to work. When I went to use the pool, there were signs on the door announcing that it was temporarily closed. The front desk attendant couldn't tell me why it was closed or when it would reopen. I went to take advantage of the exercise area, which promised an elliptical machine, bike, treadmill, etc. The bike was completely unusable it was broken so badly, there was only a treadmill and weight machine. The breakfast was okay, even though the hot food was not very good. I received a followup call after my survey was sent in, and the manager was anxious to take care of the issues and offered to make things right. If the issues are fixed, I would glady stay again.

The service was good because the staff is nice. The room I stayed in and amenities I used were horrible. My room was at the back of the hotel fortunately because the only curtains that closed all the way were the sheer ones to block the sun. The TV was nice decoration, because it definitely didn't work. Neither did the one in the fitness room, along with both of the cardio machines. My aunt staying at Knights Inn had bigger beds and a functioning tv, at least.

Pros: New facilities, flat-screen TVs in room, small indoor pool, friendly staff, hot waffles and other continental breakfast items, easy access to a wide variety of restarants within a few hundred yards Cons: Fitness room was sub-par, room walls seemed a bit thin, elevator call button continually fell out of the wall Overall a good lodging choice, but I don't know how well it will fare over time.
