My room was very humid and melled like mold. They need to air out their rooms. I could not get comfortable as the air did not smell fresh. I desperately wanted to open a windows.

Let me begin with I travel a decent amount for work and always stay at Marriott branded hotels… in my opinion they are the best overall hotel chain out there with generally great guest experiences. Unfortunately from time to time there is an outlier that does not meet the standard and this location is one of them. If you like bugs (we found 3 in our room), a green swimming pool that looked like lake water, a room that smells like cat pee, ripped bedding, stained furniture, a broken outside door key swipe pad and a shower tub that’s peeling and gross… then this is the place for you! I took photos but doesn’t look like I can post them here. In all fairness, I gave them a 2 because the lobby was decent, the breakfast meet all of our needs and I did sleep well. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel was okay for the most part. Our room was spacious and clean. However, when we pulled back the covers to go to bed we noticed long black hairs all over bed and lint from dark colored socks at the foot of the bed. The sheets had definitely not been changed. The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because the lady who worked night audit/front desk was so nice. She came and remade the bed with clean sheets and was extremely apologetic.

Have stayed here before and will stay here again. Breakfast was great this stay, had all the options that are sometimes missing at other Fairfields. Towels for the pool are still small, just use two. Cracker barrel next door pretty convenient. Location near 95 makes this one a perfect stopping point for long road trips.

From the moment I checked in until I checked out, all staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable during my stay. My room was nice and clean and breakfast was very good. I especially like the variety of foods. There was something there for everyone. Great job, Fairfield Inn, Lumberton, NC.

This was a great hotel. We only stayed overnight since we were on a long drive, but it was well worth it. We were able to book online before we got there, from the car, and the mobile site is very well designed easy to use. The staff at the reception desk was friendly and helpful and we got a room right away. The room was spacious and comfortable for two adults and two children. The best part was the breakfast in the morning, which is included in the price of the room. They have a nice buffet of hot and cold breakfast foods, plenty of food and drinks and lots of seating. It was a good start before a long drive.

It was noisy from someone upstairs running jumping till 9 or 10pm. Bed was not very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Very nice lady worked and kept things clean.

The room was very clean and cozy. We had a first floor room and were able to park our car in front of the room. The hotel was right next to I-95 too. The free breakfast was very good also with a variety of different foods to choose from.

Great place to stay and the food was good and the staff members were very friendly and helpful. Kudos to the house keeping staff, I enjoyed every minute of my time there.

Great experience. Seems Marriott is investing in upgrading it's lower end properties and this one is no exception. The property was well run, clean and comfortable with a solid breakfast selection.

This was my first time staying at a Fairfield Inn. The staff was super friendly and the room was clean. My only complaint, which I shared with the staff at check out and the reason for only 3 stars, was the air conditioner/heat fan vent was filthy. Tried to run it but after about 10 minutes had to shut it off and could see how dirty it was. I sneezed and had a runny nose for more than 24 hours. They need to maintain those better. I just saw a review with the same issue with the dirty vent who also got sick so lowered my rating to 2 stars.

Good for one night stay for trip to Florida. Had to change rooms since door would not lock. Mold in bathroom and loud ac.

Very pleasant experience staying at this Fairfield Inn on the way down to Florida. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was fresh and ready at 6am. Very easily accessible from the I-95

Cost was a little high considering there was nothing outstanding, but very little to complain about. Good bed, good shower pressure, great breakfast, good amenities. Only issue is hooking up to Wi-Fi was initially confusing, and many of the outlets on the lamps didn't really work as it did not charge my devices.

Very comfortable property. Rooms are new and updated. Breakfast is substantial and filling. Staff were polite and efficient. Would stay again.

The hotel is definitely the newest & nicest nearby. Facilities are updated with Speakman shower heads & good towels. Beds were new & rooms clean. Pretty good free breakfast with belgain waffle machine. If you're tired & need a decent place to crash for the night you won't be disappointed.

I stayed here for a work trip. The room was nice, but not over done. Everything was clean, which I was really happy about. Breakfast in the morning wasn't anything special, but it was ready and hot when I was heading out for the day, which was definitely good!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. Had to cut stay short because of emergency and refund was no problem which was very helpful for me! Recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to stay. Thank you for being so kind.

This is the 1/2 point in our trip to Florida, our return trip home. Very friendly staff clean rooms and good selection for breakfast. Only time we didn't stay was in September 2016. Lumberton was under water due to hurricane. They appear to have recovered well.

Clean rooms, great privacy, they will NOT even knock on your door if you have the do not disturb sign up, excellent breakfast, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, good orange juice, coffee, fruit, bagels, and all the other good stuff you might expect. Beautiful sitting area for breakfast, beautiful sitting area in front lobby with chairs, couches and lounges. Every room has a mini fridge, microwave, iron and board, hair dryer, television, telephone, dresser, suitcase stand, desk with office chair, sun darkening drapes for night shift workers, bedside table lamps have outlets on them for ease of phone charging. Clean soft fluffy towels, clean sheets, I have stayed here many, many times and have had a wonderful experience every single time, front desk staff are professional, friendly and helpful, housekeeping is friendly, helpful and professional. Parking can get cramped sometimes on weekends, but I have never seen the whole parking lot completely full to the point of not finding a place to park. There is only one elevator and it is in the front lobby, but there are stairs at both ends of the hotel as well. The Wi-Fi works great, they even have a computer in the front lobby connected to a printer for guests to use if needed. There is an exercise room, laundry room, and a small selection of food/snacks and other necessities next to the front desk, items selected can be added onto your room bill, which is incredibly convenient in a pinch.

Decent room, average service. Nothing wrong with my stay, but nothing special. Needs an extra blanket in the closet, the bed comforter is very thin.

This hotel turned me away because of my two dogs despite telling them that I was fleeing a mandatory evacuation zone out of Florida from Hurricane Irma and despite telling them that one of the dogs was a service dog. It's 9pm, I've been driving all day, and there's a real chance that at this time tomorrow my home will be gone and they turned me away. I understand policies, but it's a shame that they weren't willing to help in a time of emergency.

No frills, but a good room. The king studio was a nice sized room with an open layout. The front desk staff was pleasant. Breakfast was OK at best, and ended at 9AM. This was earlier than our group and at least a few others preferred. At 9:02AM the breakfast attendant was removing food from the counter as people were trying to take it out of the dishes. I thought that was was rather rude. While we finished our toast we saw other parties come down after 9 and were dismayed to see they had missed breakfast too.

My wife and I have stayed here many times over the years. The rooms are of a normal size, and always clean. The lmps plugs for connecting charging adapters are completely worn out and useless. They really need to bite the bullet and replace them with plugs that will last for many years. I recommend. Mend this hotel. Cracker Barrel is right there.

This Fairfield is very close to 95, so it made sense to stop here oh our trip. The pool is outdoors, personally I prefer indoor pools since I would rather not have to worry about sunblock. This pool was in pretty good shape, and reasonably well maintained. When we asked for pool towels we were given tiny hand towel sized towels which look like they were meant to wipe down the fitness equipment. The breakfast area only has one waffle maker (some Fairfields have two), and was very popular, which meant standing in line about 15 minutes to make breakfast. The Canadian bacon tasted vaguely like a cigarette butt for some reason, and the AC put out a slight funk when we first got to the room. There are plenty of restaurants on the other side of 95, easily accessible from the hotel, and if you don't want to get back in the car right away there is a Cracker Barrel and a Chinese food place within walking distance. Not high on my list of Fairfield stays, but better than most cheap road trip motel stops.

I Traveled over 180 miles from North Myrtle Beach To Lumberton trying to find a room for me and my wife for our anniversary. The only room we found wanted over $300 for one night stay!. We also ran into a very nasty rain storm and hydroplaned my truck into the median to avoid a collision when the traffic suddenly came to a stop, causing some damage to my front end. I decided to travel away from the beach and got more inland to find a room, and possibly an auto parts store and this hotel came up on my phone. I went to the lobby and was greeted with a smile from the woman at the desk around 7pm. I asked if there was a room available and she said YES!. I asked her if there was a room away from noise and ground level, (I explained that I might have to work on my truck in the parking lot and asked if this was OK and she said that was not a problem) Another bonus. What sealed the deal was the cost. I asked her how much for me and my wife and she said $99 a nite. I was so shocked I had to ask twice. I paid for my room in cash and she took my info, gave me directions to the room and I was a happy camper. When I got to the room from inside the hallway the first thing I noticed that all the doors are electronic key locked. I love that. Security is a major thing for me. (I have had horrible things occur at other hotel chains. ) My wife and I opened our room door and was stunned at how clean, simple, and roomy the room was!

As a Gold member, this is first time I have ever been let down by a Marriott hotel anywhere. On 7/10/17 I had a confirmed GUARANTEED walk in shower handicapped room, confirmation IN hand. When I checked in at 3pm I was told they had none. My uncle is disabled and 85 and we had driven 12 hrs from south Florida. The young lady and manager on duty had 1 suggestion … was for me to cancel and go find another hotel. We were given a "handicap tub" room. 1 grab bar in tub, no seat and no low toilet no rails. This is NOT ADA approved. I had to hand wash my uncle and assist him with toilet since seat was so low. I left complaint with customer service Marriott Corp. When I checked out the lady at desk at 7am 7/11/17, upon telling her of failure to deliver told me manager would call me. She confirmed my cell number. No call. Poor customer service at this hotel. Marriott… Shame on you. I'm at a Holiday Inn Express in NJ tonight with a REAL handicap room. Pictures of BOTH experiences will be sent to Marriott and ADA.

Definitely a pretty nice hotel. Good breakfast in the morning. Rooms are average, but definitely not bad.

For an off the highway hotel, I loved it. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and had a wonderful breakfast set up in the morning. I do love a place that includes breakfast!

I felt very fortunate to find this hotel during a long road trip. It was clean, reasonably priced, comfortable, and the staff were great. We needed a wheelchair accessible room which was provided. It also had a nice walk in shower. Breakfast was included and the selection was good : eggs, waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast, juice, coffee, and more. I would make a point of staying there again, if I had to drive that journey again. Recommend.

The room was very fancy and the shower was nice, but there weren't any curtains or blinds (besides decorative ones that don't shut), the breakfast hours were very limited we woke up a little earlier than we wanted to, and the pillows were OVERLY fluffy and uncomfortable. It was like my head got envoloped by marshmellows that weren't edible.

Super clean. Breakfast had a lot of options; the biscuits and gravy were a favorite. The freeway close by was pretty noisy but it didn't bother us.

Had a great experience here. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast tasted fresh and delicious. I would stay here again if passing game through another time.

Great place, very clean, well lit, great service, free breakfast and has Wi-Fi. Suited all my needs but the fitness room was lacking a bit no towels left or cups for water and only had different machines for cardio (no weights).

Beautiful hotel. Clean and appeared freshly renovated. Quiet. Friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. I would def use this property again if in the area.

At the time under construction, not sure if it still is being redone. Rooms could also use a refresher as they seem dated. Nice staff and an ample breakfast. A decent place to stay for the night. Not too many food choices, u would skip the Chinese.

Great place to spend a night. Andrea at the front desk was very helpful. Place is clean, recently updated and serves good breakfast. There is a Cracker Barrell which you can walk to. I will highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay on June 20, 2015. The staff was wonderful. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and quiet. What more could you ask for. In addition the breakfast was great.
