Excellent hotel and service.

The best hotel in NYC, It's located in wonderful area, close to Soho and Brooklyn Bridge. The rooms are excellent, and the view is amazing.

Im glad I chose @hotelindigolowereastside as my new come out as the world was on shutdown for 2020! Gaypride week in NY 2021 was different, but staying here at this hotel with rooftop parties, pool parties great staff and excellent food with the best restaurants and eateries around with the classic at the corner and etc. Etc. Etc. YUMMIES…
I found a place to live my truth and be a proud female who put the horrors of the which in 2020 almost took my life twice and currently I deal with breathing issues and problems with my lungs due to the urgent care facilities not taking my illness seriously, due to the fact my fever was ONLY 100° AND NOT 101° … SMH… my sister could not even get me home in the wheelchair we had and we had to take a cab home, while she waited on long lines to get my prescriptions filled. I thank God for my family and for my brother Jesus Christ, who stayed by my side with the doctors in Westchester who helped along with Dr. Cordero who worked with me out of network for my care to utilize a oxygen tank inside of thermostat room which helped me to breathe and sweat while detoxing my body.
I've moved forward and reconnected to my first puppy-love @DarcelMordaunt who was my first kiss as a young person and felt butterflies in my tummy who also met both of my parents. This was a great reunion spent @hotelindigolowereastside
I love that I had an opportunity to go back in the past and move forward with love still in my heart.

Terrible, you would experience more hospitality sleeping in Tompkins square park down the street on a park bench, I will never stay there again, I paid over 400 for one night at this toilet only to be insulted by the front desk woman, she was wrong about my reservation, instigated a argument with me about it, told me I need to find somewhere else to stay unless I give her $500 cash deposit, then when she realized she was wrong about the reservation pretended nothing happened and handed me the key to my room with no apology and a fake nice accent. I will never stay in any hotel related to the Indigo ever again and I highly recommend you don’t either I have emailed them twice and got no response, this place is a joke, the elevator alarm goes off all day/night and the electrical sockets don’t work, should have read the reviews first.

Apart from paying the hotel to stay there they are charging a separate fee to use the pool of $125.00 per person… they didn’t say that when I called last week to ask only that the pool is limited was what I was told… when I called on 7/16 to make sure I was told something completely different that you must make reservations with Mr purple and was provided with a number which I called and the mail box was full but was able to send an email the pool had no available time slot but I didn’t see that you had to pay until I received the email that each guest has to prepay 125.00 for the pool that’s ridiculous if your staying there I can understand about the reservations but to charge people a fee? I will let all my friends know about this hotel and how money hungry you are at a time like this… all I wanted was to spend two days with my daughter and enjoy the pool… the stay there for two days 313 plus 500 for the pool is 813 for two days stay you people are absolutely crazy doing this… shame on you.

Beautiful hotel, nicely located but the music from their bar going on until 4am was ridiculous. We were just a floor below and it felt as if we were inside.
We had even paid more money to be at the higher floor to get a view. Waste of money.
When we asked what could be done about the situation we were given ear plugs. A joke.

Horrible customer service and front agent staff. Unprofessional, bullish, seemingly prides itself on bad service.

Be warned and be very careful about what this hotel charges to your credit card.
Absolutely terrible customer experience, the hotel essentially took £600 from my credit card without authorisation.
Having written several e-mails and spoken with the customer service team they are now ignoring any communication without resolving this — absolutely disgusting and unprofessional behaviour — do not use this hotel.

Was upgraded to a wonderful room with a terrace. Amazing.

For what you pay and what you get it isn't worth it. No one wanted to answer the phones when we called the front desk (happened 4 times) and it wasn't much better when we tried to order food. The one redeeming quality was the concierge guys in the lobby. They were FANTASTIC! The rooftop bar was a joke, service was terrible. For what they charge per drink you think the staff would be on top of it. We did see the manager watch his staff then gave them hell for not paying attention. There were only a couple of other tables and we were at the bar. We were there for 5 nights. Never again!

I loved the public areas in the hotel. On a hot summer day, it was great to see the city from the air conditioned lobby and from the pool on the 15th floor. Also had a great view from my 18th floor room. Wasn’t crazy about having an overpriced minibar and limited, not-included breakfast, but there was a diner very near by. Hope I get a chance to go back soon!

One of the worst hotel services I've ever stayed in. The pool the whole time packed because of the bar from the rooftoop, when it is not closed for private events. The pool staff, security guards treat you like thieves. Would not recommend this hotel. We made a complaint, but only apologized. We will continue our stay at another hotel.

I was reached out by a new manager in the am who was incredibly helpful w a GREAT level of customer service & attention. Worst CUSTOMER SERVICE! Stay elsewhere. I was here for business and one of my shirts went missing after housekeeping. It wasn’t an expensive item, but my only shirt for the next day. Called front desk and spoke to a manger who was not helpful nor provided any sort of actual solution other than apologies and that they’d have to check next day w. Laund…ry service and would only be able to “fix” this issue if they found the shirt (IE, if we find we’ll mail to you, if we don’t, we’ll it wasn’t lost then). I explained the terrible situation this now put me in for my meetings next day and got the “nothing I can do, hotel protocol” “I can try to see if we can launder your other shirt but can’t gurantee as it’s late. ” I’m shocked in a world of excellent customer service and endless choices that this is the solution or response for this situation. I’ve never experienced this type of unhelpfulness or lack of urgency by a hotel staff. There are many hotel options in the area; ones that surely have better customer service and ‘protocole’.

Having the worst experience ever. Thanks to @hotelindigo we tried to get into our room one late evening, walked through the lobby, demanding for our hotel cards while there were tons of kids in the lobby trying to get through the loud rooftop club… our bouncer called @scottlinquist a fatty and basically said he didn’t belong here and then said I was cheating on Scott?! Your staff is absolutely terrible and rude in every way! I talked to the GM and he said he would speak to the bar manager — I’ve heard nothing in the past 2 days. And the GM also said he would apologize to Scott. Hasn’t happened. Appalled and the people on social who have heard about my experience cannot believe this happened.

Very sleek and trendy. Beautiful view at the bar. Rooms are clean and stylish. Bathrooms modern and spacious. The room itself, a bit in the smaller side, but within reason for Manhattan. Hardwood floors, floor to ceiling windows and I had a good sized closet, beds are comfortable. For the area, the price was not bad either. Lots of restaurants and bars within a quick walk. Definitely pleased.

Love this hotel. It is nice for partying and being in the center of everything. If you have kids-this hotel is not for you. (MOM here) Im glad we left the little one at home. Busy night life strip, nice club in the hotel and easy commute to get anywhere in NY! We loved this hotel and definitely look forward to staying here again. Front desk staff was very helpful and nice. Oh and the aroma smells so good all throughout the hotel. Great choice!

I stayed one night at Hotel Indigo and overall had a good experience. We were able to check in early and our room was very clean. I deducted stars due to some poor staff attitudes. I will admit that upon check out and making a comment to management I was informed that the staff members I am referring to were actually part of the restaurant staff (there is a restaurant in the hotel) ; however, because this staff was also responsible for handling my poolside experience I feel it reflects on my overall experience at Hotel Indigo. The staff at the poolside directed me away from the pool initially as I had an outside drink (understandable), but when I returned to the pool no staff was present to seat me. I waited for about 5 min and no staff appeared so I decided to seat myself assuming they would correct me if I did not pick an appropriate location. For the next 30min, I had multiple staff members walk around me and serve all the guests around me, even seat new guests and get them drinks, without acknowledging my existence. I even saw the staff member who told me I had to come back when I was done with my outside drink, she also ignored my presence. I eventually left after 30 min without speaking to a single person. All I can say is that I feel I was being ignored since I chose to seat myself when no staff was present. I don't feel this is a appropriate way to treat customers when you work in hospitality.

Amazing staff and view. Nice room. I liked the exhibit and the art they had. Pool is beautiful. Definitely coming back. Felt like a getaway from the city in the city itself.

Really liked the hotel, and there's a lot to like. There is a (tiny) rooftop pool that gets pretty crowded but is still a fun place for a soak or even a lap or two on a hot day. The bar (Mr. Purple) is rocking and loaded with young'uns (i. E. Millennials) and has tasty, decent-priced drinks. The rooms are spacious enough (it would have been nice to have an extra set of drawers for our clothes), and the only 'complaint' about the rooms is the mind-bending tile pattern that wou…ld drive anyone with OCD insane. My only complaints were about breakfast and will sound really nit-picking, but for me, a 5-Star hotel doesn't make these mistakes: On the shelves with the breakfast items, there is a pressed orange juice container whose price is unmarked. A normal person would assume it would be around $7 at most and probably less. In fact, it was $10. Worse, the breakfast items are only available till 10:30 even on a weekend or holiday. What gives? So many people walked in and asked for something for brunch, but it was 10:50am, so there were no bagels or oatmeal. We'd definitely stay again, but this time we'd take care of our own breakfast somewhere nearby. Otherwise, great hotel and definitely a good value for the room (compared with other NYC hotel prices).

The location is good, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The management left something to be desired. I reported that I had bug bites all over my body and the only person that ever offered me an apology was the front desk staff member. The management team has proceeded to ignore my complaint to IHG Customer Care, forward me a copy of their exterminators findings, and tell me that it was my problem. I suppose that's how you need to run a business when your rate is more i…mportant than your guests, but I know for a fact that the company that trained their staff does not feel that way. I never even asked for anything in return, I just wanted them to be aware of the situation so another guest did not have to deal with it. The experience itself isn't the end of the world. I work in hotels, and it happens. The thing that made me more upset than anything else if that if you have a problem with your stay, this property sends a clear message — it is all your problem, and they do not care about your experience, satisfaction, or comfort. So if you want a swanky hotel with a nice bar and a management staff that does not care about the people that stay there, give this hotel a try. I am sure they would love to ignore and downplay your issues and then fail to respond to your communication.

On the plus side, service from the staff was great, some of the higher rooms have great views. The negatives are the rooms and public areas are a little tired and shabby. Website photo's are better than the reality. The bar on the top floor is very popular and noisy.

Very unfriendly place, the guards are very unfriendly and very impolite. I don’t recommend it. Long queue for nothing. It doesn’t worth it.

On the plus, the room is fairly spacious, has a big window, and the bedding is good. There's a coffee machine in the room, although not enough coffee capsules for the two of us. On the minus, the room/decor has a certain cheap feeling, which is hard to describe. Like all the items are knockoff brands? It's hard to figure out what makes it feel this way. It tries to urban hip but just… falls short. The worst, though, is the bouncers downstairs, who can be fairly rude, making you feel like you're being interrogated by an angry TSA agent trying to take it out on you, rather than trying to make it back to your room after a night out. I'm not staying here to be treated like scum by these little rascals. I appreciate that they have a difficult job to keep the hotel secure, but some basic manners would go a long way.

Love the hotel and the surrounding area! We're from the UK and it's giving us a great taste of real NYC within easy distance of the tourist parts. Hotel staff are all superb and room very spacious and comfortable. Love the scenery from Mr Purple. Unfortunately the attitude of the staff drove us to drink in the other more friendly bars in the vicinity.

Love this hotel, close to lots of restaurants, bars… very much a fun area. The hotel is really hip design and modern. Clean and the staff is very friendly. In the evening the hotel becomes very busy. A lot of locals are going for drinks in the hotel lobby and pool area. (Rooftop pool) never used the pool because it’s very busy with people on the roof top. I love the rooms, bathroom. Very unique hotel. Make sure you walk at the back of the hotel to see the Art Deco art. Highly recommend this hotel and I will stay there again for sure. If you can book a room with the terrace.

Great hotel, friendly staff, very comfortable and large king size bed. Large room for NYC. Contemporary feel, well decorated. Good location. But — very, very noisy. Cars beeping all night (maybe a break between 5.30am and 6.30am). Other guests were all unusually rowdy and noisy. Ideal for staying right where the good nightlife is, but do not expect a good night's sleep!

Rooms are a bit small, but very clean and newly furnished! The bar on the 15th floor is an absolute MUST! The view is breathtaking! Very friendly service! Highly recommended!

Overall great experience, would stay here again. We stayed 4 days in early Jan 2018 after making a reservation for 2 double beds on a quiet floor. Our request was honored and we were on the 5th floor. Super quiet and clean, comfy beds, bathroom is modern with 2 full length mirrors and good lighting (for makeup). Check in/check out was a breeze, and staff was friendly. (Our flight was canceled the day prior due to the snow, and that night was not charged. We arrived early the next day at 11am, and were able to get a room without delay. ) Only complaint is that our express dry cleaning was returned very late, and outside of the 5-hour guarantee, and we were almost late to a friend's wedding. However, hotel ended up not charging us for this, which we appreciated. Definitely would NOT recommend using their dry cleaning service — unreliable. But otherwise, it was a 5 star stay and experience!

Super Hotel mitten in der Lower East Side.

Loved staying here with my girlfriend. Nothing beats the Lower East Side, we had so much fun! I can’t wait to stay here again. The staff was great, and the rooms very so unique and massive (for nyc). Also… best rooftop in the US.

Had the most incredible experience at Hotel Indigo. It is beautifully decorated and has very comfortable beds. Every person that works here is exceptionally helpful, warm, friendly, and genuine. Thank you to all of the amazing people who made our stay so memorable. We will absolutely be back.

Don't get me wrong, this is a really nice, well-decorated hotel with good amenities and friendly staff. Very cool artwork, and lots of history about the Lower East Side. I just dropped a star because, for the price, there could be a little more attention to detail. There was a flicker to the bathroom light, and when I tried to stash one of my unpacked bags on top of the closet to get it out of the way, I unleashed an army of dust bunnies. Otherwise the room was quite clean. The elevators were a bit loud, as were the people waiting for them. And the floor was so small, every room was within earshot. Also spent a lot of time waiting on elevators, as only 2 of them serviced the upper floors. This is all pretty nit-picky, but for $450/night, I like to see little details like this accounted for. Again, a very nice stay in a very cool area.

We stayed here for two nights and LOVED the location. The LES is truly special and this was our first time experiencing it. The service was a little lacking and it feels like they are trying WAY too hard to be cool. The artwork was a major put-off but the room was very comfortable. The main drawback is that we could hear EVERYTHING going on in the street below even though we were on the 11th floor. Both nights we were there I was woken up at 2AM sharp by hundreds of people streaming outside (I'm guessing the bars close at that time? ). They were loud from 2AM through to 3AM and I could hear them so well I could actually understand individual conversations. How is that even possible? We went to the rooftop bar one night and instantly felt unwelcome. I don't think we were "cool enough" to be there so we left quickly, not that anyone cared. The location is phenomenal and the rooms are comfortable. If you are in NYC to hit the late-night party scene this is your place. If you want to sleep early head somewhere else.

Great boutique hotel in a fantastic location. Lobby is on the 14th floor with a cafe and great seating if you're waiting for your room to be available. It's a great deal for Manhattan and the views cannot be beat.

Interesting and Limio but I don't like the people who trabjan here. They are in little rude, specifically the guards sworn by the bar.

Great part of town. Surrounded by several food spots. Nearby subway access. Excellent views — make sure to book single bedrooms — this will offer you higher viewpoints. If not, the bar has a stunning views and great bar service.

Spectacular hotel. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. There was a problem getting rooms cleaned, so we were not able to check in right away, but they bought us a round of drinks and upgraded us to make up for it. The rooms were comfortable, stylish, and clean, and the bed and linens were wonderful. Overall, an excellent experience.

The friendliest staff that complemented my bike as I took it to my room instead of stopping me from taking it up to my room. Great room, as you can see. Definitely an amazing stay. Love the rooms.

The locations is amazing. Very close to good restaurants… and walking distance to soho. The bar upstairs has a nice view. … but otherwise is a pass. Overall verdict… decent hotel, seems to be catered towards hipsters with money. It tries just a little too hard to be cool.

Very good hotel, concierge very polite, front desk is very warm, room is comfortable also relatively big, room of bathroom is relatively concise, but very practical, have separate shower room. Just, no free toothpaste, the front desk can check in when asked if guests need to provide toothpaste, the room in the mini-refrigerator work sound a bit large, the first night to sleep a bit bad sleep. The rooftop is nice and the view is good.

This place is fabulous! The staff are great, the design and decor from the entrance to the lobby to the restaurant. Our room was a decent size for a standard room in NYC. Again well appointed and Comfy bed.
The location is perfect for those looking to explore the LES. I could live here!

Hands down the worst service I've ever had at a hotel and I'm a consultant so I pretty much live out of hotels. I had to call them multiple times for things like a shaving kit. I once had to ask them to send house keeping to clean my room. And now I left a bag of clothes to be washed and come back after a day out at 7pm to find that it hasn't been touched and I have to fly out to a client tomorrow AM and it's labor day. I called housekeeping who said she can have it washed same day. Then I call front desk to validate and they say 100% not possible and now I'm SOL. And I asked them what they could do for me to make me want to provide them business again, and the guy on the phone is like "uh we don't normally have people who have laundry issues on labour day so I don't know what we could offer you". I feel like as a person in customer service you should be able to think up at least one good thing to offer — a meal credit, a free stay, something that makes someone feel like you're sorry. And speaking of, no one said sorry. Don't stay here if you want to get service. I don't normally stray from hotel chains because they have their stuff locked down for things like this, I thought I'd give this a shot, but definitely going back to being loyal to Starwoods.

Fantastic hotel. Concierge are wonderful. I would have put 5 stars, but the bar was awful. We went twice during our 2 day stay. We couldn't get service, couldn't get anyone's attention at the bar. When we ask servers, they looked us up and down then scowled at us. Rude. Disrespectful. Lived the hotel. Hated the bar.

Hip up and coming hotel with glorious views of Manhattan Island. Clean lines, minimal decor rooms. Comfortable beds. Cute little breakfast lobby and rooftop pool with a popular bar. Friendly staff.

Nice modern hotel in a trendy area of Manhattan. The staff were willing to help give directions and suggestion to various locations and overall very helpful. The only gripe of mine is that the pool was extremely small. Would recommend regardless.

The Hotel is perfectly located and the staff is one of a kind. They treat you with nothing but respect and are willing to go beyond their means to make you feel comfortable. I would like to mention that Carvey at the front reception is an amazing host and understands customer relations. Overall I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to New York.

The checkin was down so they gave everyone in line free champagne. Staff was nice and rooms were large and well kept. Also what a view! The bar is too loud and too hip — a function of it being a popular LES club destination which I guess is good if you are into that sort of thing which I am not. Also the lobby smelled funny. Overall it seemed too expensive and I would only stay there if someone else was paying.

One of the best experiences ever. Chose to celebrate my birthday here. Staff went out of the way to ensure my friends and family were treated like GOLD. The GM was beyond words. She went the extra distance and made our stay a memory that will last a lifetime. Great pool and location. Nice especially when you don't want the times square over crowded atmosphere. Highly recommend staying and hosting events here.

Super hotel. Spacious rooms, excellent service, and cool art. The rooftop bar is beautiful. If you stay at the hotel you bypass the line up the public has to stand in. I stay at this hotel every time I come to NYC because it's always a great experience. If you stay herr be sure to go to Sweet Chick across the street for the chicken and waffles as well — so delicious!

I don't love the area of this hotel (not a huge fan of the LES), so I'd probably not stay here (or recommend friends/family in town stay here, as I live in Manhattan), but the hotel seemed clean and modern when I went in earlier today with a group to look around. The rooftop area was small, but offered a great view of the East Side of Manhattan. For those on a low budget, this hotel might offer a clean, affordable alternative to nicer hotels elsewhere in Manhattan.
