Do not book here. They stole the $200 of the deposit they promised to me to give me back after our stay. I booked with booking et they never answered their emails. We stayed there from Aug 28 to 30. I’m very ungry.

View is amazing, room is clean, staff are friendly and lots to do around the area.

I can’t say enough about my stay with them! The staff was always accommodating (especially Christian) from the front desk to the bell dudes to house keeping. Rooms are spotless and that bath tub! I just can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much for a simply perfect time.

All the staff were amazing! Great size room (double double), v comfortable beds, room cleaned and cookies brought to our room at night — teenager loved this! Such a cool NYC laid back hotel in the best location, all walkable or subway round the corner. Would we stay here again? Hell yeah!

I stayed at the hotel at the end of March. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bed, one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The view is also out of the world. On the negative side, the service in the bar/restaurant is poor. There was also an amount added to my bill after I‘d left, which I‘m still waiting for the Hotel to clarify.

This was the WORST hotel I’ve EVER stayed at. The staff were complete assholes and the rooms are not worth the expense I’ve never had service this bad … seriously. Y’all need to step up your game and hire some people with a personality and some pride in their work.

First time to the east coast. Very welcoming, well mannered. I’ll definitely be revisiting the Rivington.

Splendid! The staff is friendly and wholehearted. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was satisfactory. The rooms are tastefully done with great views. We asked for a top floor room for this very reason and they accomodated our request. Room service From check in to check out, a seamless experience. We will be returning.

This weekend I went to celebrate my 2 year anniversary. We bought the Unique Room, and was down graded to the Corner King the same exact room We both stayed in two years ago. The staff never let us know we were down graded, due to a air conditioning problem. I had to call down to get any information about why we did not get the room we paid for. We waited for hours and got no reply from any managers which is very disappointing that no one even contacted us first on behalf of this. The staff was not helpful with trying to get in touch with the manager. We emailed him and never got a reply. I am very disappointed that we did not get to stay in the room we paid. They tried to accommodate us with free breakfast and a small fruit plate. This was supposed to be a special night and it was ruined by the awful experience and service we had. We should have been accommodated a night in the room we actually paid for. This hotel is falling apart since the last time we stayed, and it’s a shame because it could have potential to be nice. I am so disappointed at my experience here and lack of communication from the manager.

Omg this place is FIRE! Drinks are REALLY expensive though so be prepared for that. I ordered 2 jack n cokes and paid $40. Other than that, atmosphere is awesome, great crowd, dope events, and they are apart of the Select Black Card network that that brings it to 5 stars.

I stayed for one night at the hotel in a king suite. The bed and bathroom were great. The room was clean and prepared on time. The room had a balcony visible from the room and bathroom but it was unfortunately bolted shut. They gave us cookies. We were room 62. Great location. :)

My wife and I went here last night, hotel was very clean and the staff was very pleasant and even up graded us with no added cost without me asking. Room was clean and the view was great. The restaurant downstairs had great food as well. We would stay here again and recommend it to other people looking for a decent priced hotel in a great little area.

No hot water for a three day weekend. We had two rooms booked and all four of us had to take cold showers during our trip. Manager promised some sort of compensation but all we receives was a letter of apology.

Ok… so I really wanted to love this hotel, man… The beds were comfortable, the view was good, the staff was nice. The bathroom was where the problem was. It was dark, musty, the curtains stink, smelled moldy, the tub ran slow. I mean everything that could have been wrong with the bathroom was. That kind of ruined it for me. However, the location was good. LOTS of food options around you. Make sure to hit Supermooon bakery!

Superbly located at the Essex Street Metro station of Line M, where you can easily get to the centre of Manhattan.
Lots of shopping and local. Only about a 10 minute walk from Little Italy and China town.
The hotel itself is very clean, beautiful view and nice restaurant. Staff very friendly.
You can recommend it to anyone.

This place was amazing! Highly recommend one of the upper level floors with a soaking tub! There was a gas main leak down the street which caused an evacuation for safety and the staff handled it like pros. Great mini bar items. Great area for entertainment. Market just a few doors down the street. Well worth it!

My room was Gorgeous! We spent valentines night here in the high floor king with soaking tub and balcony suite and I loved the room. Check in was quick and easy, the staff was professional + polite. I love the privacy of the hotel! (lobby on the second floor). The mini bar was so affordable! The soaking tub was definitely the highlight of my night! Don't let my photo fool you. This tub is huge and can easily fit 2 people. I'm 5'2 and could have practically swam if I wanted to. We ordered room service for breakfast and the food was great as well. I will definitely be booking another stay very soon!

Location was ideal for our needs. Not as loud as some other reviews suggested. Service was timely and very positive. We had an issue with our room but it was quickly rectified. Would stay again.

Hotel on Rivington was great. The hotel has very nice view of Manhattan. The staff was nice and accommodating. The location of the hotel was conveniently located near good bars and restaurants. The only issue I had with hotel on Rivington was that they wanted to charge $70 for parking. Meanwhile, there's a municipal parking right around the corner. I was able to park overnight and didn't even pay $20 dollars.

I attended as guest at a recent event in the penthouse. The staff was incredibly kind and the space was absolutely beautiful. The location of the hotel itself is very convenient to the subway and nice bars/restaurants nearby. I cant speak for the rooms but the hotel lobby was invitingly decorated. I would stay here as a guest if I did not already have an apartment nearby.

This was our first overnight in the city so we didn't know what to expect when I booked an affordable hotel. Friendly staff. Beautiful room. Exceptional shower which is important to us. A beautiful view of the city with ceiling to floor windows. The subway was just around the corner which gave us easy access to the city. Walking distance to local bars and food. I will book here again.

My family members (who were visiting from out of town) and myself purchased 4 tickets for general admission of 9 pm — 2 am open bar at the Penthouse at Hotel on Rivington NYE event. We arrived at 11 pm and were delayed admission due to coat check issues and then were later informed that the event was overbooked and were at capacity and denied admission. We waited for almost 2 hours and brought in the new year in the hotel lobby after spending almost $700. They were several others that were turned away from this event as well. I am beyond disappointed in the professionalism of those hosting the event.

Love the room. The service was great. The location is very convenient and easy to get everywhere from the subway station very close by. The staff are also very accommodating. The restaurant is really nice as well. I will be coming back.

Very good location near bars and restaurant Sauber and well furnished, great views from the room, by NY standards large room. It is a pity to use the very slow lift and the missing rooftop bar.

The Rivington Hotel surpassed all expectations we had! Not only was the room perfect (glowing city view), the hotel staff was a pleasure to interact with. Ken at the front desk was extremely pleasant when we arrived late on Friday. He went very far out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and we will be back next year!

Got a corner king room on 16th floor. View was great. Balcony was very nice to have. Good size room compared to other hotels in the area. Friendly staff. Clean and neat. Great location. Would definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and the views were amazing. We had a nice little deck that was perfect for sipping wine and watching the sunset. The staff were very friendly and attentive. A call to the desk for some ice and it was in our room just two minutes later.

Decent value considering the area and similar offerings; the neighborhood is mostly very high and low end rooms. This was clean, the bed robes and bathroom were all well above average. No real writing surface, desk etc. Very basic, meant to be minimalist, but sorry if just feels unfinished at times. Balconies are sturdy, but did feel scary, nonetheless. Recommend a higher floor for less noise/better view.

Great locations to enjoy LES, good bar and restaurant. A little bit expensive…

The rooftop party there is always fun. Not too crowded. Excellent customer service. The guests are more elevated than your usual crowd. Will keep coming back.

I was only there for about an hour but it was a nice time. The hotel was clean and modern. Location was excellent. I enjoyed the time here.

I can only review their rooftop bar and terrace. The layout is perfect for an event and large crowd. The view is mesmerizing. Top terrace is small but very cozy. Would love to come back here again.

The staff is great the view and finishes are beautiful and the room is large for a NYC Hotel. A really upscale hotel with a funky chill vibe. I love the location — so many great places to eat and shop and the concierge clearly knows her stuff.

The decor in this place is awesome! Don't let the vestibule fool you: it is tiny and nondescript on purpose. Very comfortable accommodations. Stayed with my friend who was out of town. We were very comfortable. The room was very art-deco inspired with lots of chrome and mirrored surfaces. Very neat!

Normally when a hotel states, "Check-in is between 12 and 4, " you take this to mean that you are free to check in during that window of time. Here, apparently it means they might have a room ready for you at some point during that time. Having waited more than 3 hours during this time for my reserved room to become available, I am left feeling like a fool. Here I sit in the very Hotel on Rivington lounge, unable to settle in and take advantage of what $520 per night has to offer. Very poorly handled, can simply not recommend.

Was visiting a guest at the hotel. He's stayed there many times and I can tell you that it's one of the nicest hotels I've seen in NYC. Large rooms, cool art, nice vibe and the best popcorn (truffle) you've ever tasted. Cool place. Friendly staff.

I liked the Hotel on Rivington. Enjoyed the location, interior design, and overall vibe but was put off by the construction and resulting noise. I'm sure it'll be wonderful once complete!

Amazing view of the city. Room was spacious and comfortable with a balcony that made my week. Very cool staff. Definitely one of my favorite hotels in NYC.

Horrible experience! Was getting ready for a wedding that would be hosted there and the groom informs us the day before the wedding that they had canceled their reservation! So now the engaged couple had to find another place spur of the moment to host the wedding.

Hands down the best place I've stayed at all of 2015. I had a king corner room with soaking tub and I enjoyed every bit of the room. The blue tooth player had awesome sound and that view? Priceless. Staff is awesome, Kristin was amazing. Very accommodating. I wish I new the valet guys name, he was very helpful too. The people staying there could be a bit yuppy but that's not the hotels fault. I'm looking to book soon and take the unique room and I'll tell you, I'm seriously looking forward to it. The area is great for food, drink and dancing. Did I tell you they had the Weeknd's album House Of Balloons playing in the lobby? Love this place!

The beds are great, the rooms are alright, and there is always something that annoys me, whether it's the check in or the room, it's always something. One plus is that the area is nice to be in, always something to do.

I stay here in the past my experience was amazing I didn't wanted to leave… Highly recommended.

It is a very nice hotel but not luxury. My guess is that when it was first opened it was amazing, probably like the Citizen hotel collection. The problem is that they have not kept up with the maintenance. The maintenance is not a problem, it is just not pristine. The bed was super comfortable, the floor to ceiling windows were nice. I would not stay here again but if you can get a deal, you should try it out, it is in a great area. If you go out of the front door, hang a left and then another left, there seems to be a cool area. We did not get to explore it as much as we wanted.

Great location. Great Staff. Excellent View! We were a bit early for their 4pm check in and while we were waiting they offered us complimentary wine and snacks in their lounge which is something that they have daily between 2pm and 6pm. Very nice. Noticed that a lot of artists musicians and writers staying there. Perfect for us! Great room service — We ordered and again the staff was amazingly friendly. Complimentary cookies in the room was a nice touch. High quality bedding and bathrobes. I didn't want to get out of bed it was so comfortable. Excellent over all.

This wonderful Hotel indeed I gym has all the people who want to have fun or at least spend a stay so you will not regret goodbye.

Hospitality Services works with clients from all over the United States. It's important that they are provided clean, hospitable hotels while they are working away from home. Ignite has been working with this property over last few weeks and I have to say that the overall hospitality. Shown by the administration and staff has been very impressive. Additionally, the rooms are spacious and have modern amenities. It has a home away from home vibe which my clients love. We will certainly refer clients in the future to this hotel.

Stayed here a couple of times and always enjoyed it, the staff are helpful and know of hip things to do in the city.

Spoke to MarcAnthony Crimi, General Manager, and he could not have been more curt, disingenuous, and rude on the phone when calling for a reservation, which was made even worse as it sounded like he was eating food while speaking with me on the phone. If his attitude and behavior are indicative of the level of service and professionalism at the Hotel on Rivington I would not expect much from this hotel. I don't write reviews, in fact this is my first, so I will just end with. I WOULD NEVER STAY at a hotel run by someone like MarcAnthony, Crimi.

Great staff! It's in the heart of the lower east side.

Weird hotel. The entrance looks like a side exit leads to through a short tunnel/art piece that I was told was inspired by eggs in a condom. The lobby looks like a coat check. My room on the 17th floor was spacious and had a great view. I was really pleased. Until I checked out the bathroom. The shower has a floor to ceiling, clear glass window to the street. It's the entire width and height of the shower. Basically, they expect you to shower for the whole world to see. I had them put up a paper screen to avoid performing a peep show. I can appreciate funky and I get what they're trying to create. But it's not succeeding. Better to watch Pulp Fiction than be live it.

Great hotel. Location is excellent, in a trendy area. They have coffee all day and wine 12-6. Pool table too and rooms are a good size, clean etc. The shower room doubles as a steam room.
