Restrictions are not clearly listed on the website. Pool is only open for 3 hours, hot tub needs to be booked and water park is reserved well in advance and not open til the afternoon. Expectations should be managed. Water park was expensive for what they have. I didn’t find the pool/waterpark staff friendly. They seemed bothered to be there. Rooms were ok. We had a cup of cigarette butts left on our deck, dresser top was not cleaned and toilet did not appear clean. For the price I expected a bit more. Not awful, but not quite what was expected.

Definitely had a great stay! Entire lodge was clean, COVID regulations were safe, every staff member in the lodge was so nice. Only complaint is the water park staff. They allow adults to drink and smoke in the outdoor pool, all while their children were unsupervised. We had to leave the pool one night because it was a giant party and the staff didn’t do anything to regulate the chaos. Hopefully our next stay is better!

My wife, 2 year old and I recently stayed here over an extended weekend. Of course in this pandemic world we live in we must temper expectations. I really only have one huge complaint… the beds were AWFUL. My wife and I are still sore and achey after staying here. I don’t expect the most comfortable bed in the world but I honestly think laying on the forest floor would’ve been more comfortable. We didn’t get a single good nights sleep. Otherwise our stay was really pleasant, the staff were all very friendly, respectful and helpful. We’re limited in how much we can do with a pregnant wife and young toddler but we still found fun things to get into. The lighting in the rooms were also very very poor but the beds absolutely made the stay less than enjoyable. If ownership could correct this issue and buy some new beds the stay would be easily worth a 4.0-4.5 out of 5.

Everyone is so friendly! Room was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Atmosphere is awesome, not to busy and covid precautions are all in place. Definitely going to bring my family back here, we had a great time.

The lodge and surrounding mountain and ski trails are beautiful, the suites are spacious and clean with lots of amenities, and the indoor water park is perfect for kids.

Great for younger kids. The skiing is close for older kids. Rooms were nice although the heat was on the fritz. Responsive to needs and loved the time with family.

Extra fee for water park usage $30 each person and this fee is not really worth to pay for it. Water park slide are very short & Just 3 slides.
As a lodge guest, they should provide free pass for water park. They only permit hot tub and small pool which is only good good for small kids.
Restaurant breakfast is horrible.

It was a nice place the rooms were beautiful! Other than that the employees always at the bar kinda ruined the experience they were loud and obnoxious specially the male employees!
Other than that Bryan the manager was great and so was the front desk staff!

Outside of them calling it a resort, which is far from the truth, we didn’t care for the “kiddie” pools and staff that looked like they’d rather be home playing video games than waiting on you! You want a REAL resort try Peak and Peak, Findlay Lake, New York! You will have a much better experience.

This place never let's us down. Everything is clean and this week in particular is nice and empty. Bed, although a little on the smaller side since we're use to a king, was nice and soft and so comfy. Waterpark water was nice and warm and the kids absolutely loved the wave pool. Lines for the water slides fo very fast. Highly recommend.

We had our sons 9th birthday at the waterpark and had a blast! They've got water slides, heated indoor wave pool, an outdoor pool, hot tubs, areas for smaller children as well. The kids also enjoyed pizza and the arcade. It was a clean environment with extremely pleasant staff and at the end of our stay we could dry our suits in the dressing rooms!

Good amenities are very nice clean facility a lot of different activities for both adults and kids.

Such an amazing wedding venue! We got married in front of the hotel at the arbor due to rain pushing us from the gazebo which I think ended up being perfect! Reception was in the tent and was set up beautifully. Chelsea and her crew did everything for me — set up and take down. I had to worry about very little on our big day! Highly recommend!

We went to celebrate my son’s birthday. We requested a Cake, balloons and a card (all for an additional charge, very affordable) and it was ready in the room when we arrived. Everything was perfect. Cake was delicious. My son loved the room. The water park wasn’t crowded, which we loved. The room was spacious and has everything you need for your stay. The view was amazing. We also did the mountain coaster and we loved it also! We can’t wait to come back!

Room was okay. There was stains on the rug and a weird smell to the room. They fill the room with candy and alcohol but of course everything is an extra charge. My main issue is with their billing. They billed our card in error twice and it took me calling multiple times to finally get a call back from a manager. There was no effort on their part to resolve the issue. They just said it was an employee error (twice! ) And that they will refund both. Keep in mind when I found the first charge for $150, I called and they said it will be refunded. I check the next day and there was ANOTHER charge for $150. I call and they said it looks like someone refunded you then charged you again and couldn't tell me why or how that happened. He said I would again be refunded. Obviously at this point I don't trust their ability to process refunds. The person at the front desk could not tell me how long it takes for a refund to process. I will not book again because I can't trust that they will not but additional fees on my card. Good thing I caught both charges. If you choose to stay here, monitor your card!

This is the kind of place that makes us regret having put 5 stars on other hotels. Beautiful big room, chalet atmosphere in the mountains. Okay the service is slow, but I was treated warmly. The water slides are small, the pools are large. The restaurant is good and the plates are too generous.

I'll start by saying. All the staff members I encountered were friendly and helpful. The area is nice, quiet and secluded. The downfall was due to the lack of organization on the room selection, the attempt to add charges to our bill, the strange lack of microwave and fridge in our room, the "bar" was a joke, the restaurant has a small menu of overpriced meals considering you are in the middle of nowhere. Wi-Fi was garbage. It was a huge inconvenience to us and the other guest that were apart of our conference. This hotel is severely overpriced considering what its lacking. We enjoyed the trail and outdoor pool and spa. It just didn't feel welcoming, it felt tolerated.

Loved this place (very quiet and not crowded). Very nice spacious and comfortable accommodations. Heated outdoor pool and indoor/outdoor hot tub. We did not use the waterpark, which was relatively small. We did take advantage of the Adventure Park, which is across the street. The zip lines and mountain coaster are two must do activities.

The water park is very small and our room wasn’t ready until almost an hour after we arrived and had no hot water when we finally got there… staff was very unorganized and the male manager we spoke with didn’t seem too worried about us (traveling with two small children) … honestly go look before you book this one… NOT worth an overnight stay…

Location and rooms were absolutely gorgeous. Easily deserves a 5 star for that alone. The management was horrid. My wife and I witnessed a Front desk manager berating a staff member in front of all the guests over the employee trying to take a break. Said employee was simply calling another staff member to come cover. They also overcharged us when our room was prepaid took several hours of conversations to have the matter resolved. Gorgeous location. Disgusting management.

Beautiful place. Wish we could have spent more time at the facility — we were there for a baseball tournament so we were off the premises quite a bit. Lovely staff, very accommodating. Very clean. Will definitely return and highly recommend staying at Hope Lake Lodge.

Water is always warm, so you dont feel so cold when you get out. However last weekend was bad. They had a bunch of college kids drinking, swearing, jumping in the wave pool on top of little kids. Lifeguards seemed to scared to say anything. We go here a few times a year, it's nice for a quick getaway weekend. Last weekend was just bad.

I've visited a few times to stay and enjoy the water park. Each time has been pretty much the same… Great service and amenities, clean and comfortable rooms.

Giving this place 2 stars. Place is nice. Arrived hear a little before 4pm for checkin. Room was not ready. Had to wait about half an hour. Got a flat tire in the parking lot. Truck had to get towed, no vehicle. Finally got settled in room and went o get drinks from the gift shop, closed at 5pm. WTF! Forgot swim shorts for the water park, went to buy some, can’t get to town, no car, you would think a hotel with a water park would have some. Yes they do, about 8 pairs of shorts not even close. Finally after d sling with that I go have a dream no at the bar, the kids call me and want dinner. They come and meet me and the bar tender rudely yells at them for being near the bar. Mind you the bar is in the restaurant and serves food and it is no way illegal for them to be there. All they were doing was getting me to go eat. I politely get up and walk the ten feet to the hostess stand to get a table. At this point I’m fuming. We sit down at the table which is set but so dirty my arms stick to it. I tell the waiter and he comes and wipes it with a dry cloth, really! We’re sitting at the table and the kids tell me that the tub in our room is full of long black hair. So while eating for our food I go tell the desk so they can take care of it. By now she nows my first name. That is not good. She does give me a $20 voucher for the kids for the arcade. Hopefully things get better fast.

I love this place, my whole family did. We had a blast. Though there were a few things I would like to see changed because of hazards especially with kids who are not having a care in the world just being kids and have fun. But everyone here was friendly and pleasant to work with when it came to staff.

Room was nice enough but it had numerous stains on the carpet. The waterpark is tiny, it does not have many slides or things to do. The bartender didn't know how to make any drink is that wasn't shots or beer. The 24 hr room service was non existent. Gavin at the front desk told me that options were limited cuz they were understaffed. So when I asked what the options were, he told me they didnt have anything. That's much different than limited options. No options is not the same as limited. Service was good, and people were friendly enough. Thisnppace may be worth it if you ski, but I was told they were other activities and things to do. But anytime I asked about other options, they were closed or not available. You may find it good for your needs, but I found it incredibly lack luster.

We went here to get a massage at the spa. That was great but we felt the rest of the lodge/water park was lacking. Waterpark is mostly for children and opens late in the day. Front desk staff said it opened at 10. Wrong. They seemed very confused and not well trained. We were disappointed. The hot tub was nice though. We wanted to stay overnight but the rooms are outrageously expensive! Had lunch at the bar/grill on site, the food was very good and staff was friendly. Overall not a terrible facility but not sure it’s worth the money.

Great beautiful place for a getaway. The room we had was excellent, very clean, spacious, and a great view. Didn't give it a five Star because of the price. Everything is over priced. Meaning anything you can do for fun. We saved alot of money by buying groceries and cooking a few of the days we spent there. So consider that if you're spending a couple of days there. Walmart is about 10 minutes from the lodge. And if you can on doing any activity, purchase online since it'll be a little cheaper than buying them at the hotel.

Great place, and great staff. They need more seating in the water park. Get rid of the lounges and just have chairs and tables. Other than that we loved it. We will be back!

Great place to bring the family. We had a lot of fun at the resort between the indoor water park and the ski slopes. Slightly pricey though.

We checked in on a Friday at 10 pm. Checkin was quick and easy, however front desk wasnt particularly friendly or inviting as felt rushed when asking questions. Studio was great size with a "master suite" upstairs and pullout sofa and pullout armour with bed downstairs. Rooms were clean and adequately supplied with necessities. Breakfast at Acorn was dissapointing and pricey despite variety with buffet. Indoor arcade was enjoyable as well as water park. Skiing lessons were amazing at Greek Peak and we spent our Saturday skiing thereafter. Trax was great with variety of drinks and meal choices. The honey and bacon burger was delish. Overall our 2 night stay at Hope Lake will be followed with more stays in the near future and would def recommend.

A great hotel at a wonderful mountain resort. Fun for everyone indoors and out. All the modern comforts in a comfortably rustic setting.

Went there for bystate GWRRA NJ NY MOTORCYCLE rally had 4 days of fun they treated us wonderful the roads are great for MOTORCYCLES will be back again.

We come here every year, my kids love it. The water park facility is awesome and the activities around the complex are great, especially the roller coaster down the mountain!

Went this summer for GWRRA motorcycle rally. Was wonderful rooms are lovely. There is good restaurant on premises, indoor water park, outdoor pool and jacuzzi, and a full service spa on site and free Wi-Fi. Several very good restaurants near by and a nice night club on site. Beautiful area for motorcycle rides or car rides.

So booked a Sunday for a get away with my husband, was looking forward to spa was not informed that it closed at 2, check in isn't until 4 although we did check in early. So with a late check in Trax closed at 3 Starbucks closed heavy rain so no zip line or coaster. No fine dining as we expected and hot tub pool and park closed at 6. Room was beautiful but snacks and beer were eaten and laundry left in closet. We literally had nothing to do except eat in the hotel lobby. Not happy.

I recently had a long weekend here. I stayed at Hope Lake Lodge. I loved how cozy it was. I drove 26 hours from Colorado to stay here so I could visit with friends. Although the rooms were a bit pricey, I liked the kitchenette. I arrived about 10 pm and just missed the restaurant being open so I ordered room service — choices was very limited (salads or sandwiches) I ordered 2 turkey sandwiches and 2 sodas. They didn't have the soda I wanted and didn't bother to ask if I wanted something else or substitute. The sandwiches were very basic and I got less than a handful of chips — This dinner cost me $17.00 — a bit expensive. After driving 26 hours and wanting nothing but sleep I was very disappointed to be woken up early the next morning by pounding etc. They had decided that a Saturday morning would be the perfect time to re-roof this unit. Seriously! When I called the front desk to see how long it would be going on — they acted like I was asking an insane question and didn't understand why I was upset. You would think during the middle of the week would have been a better time but hey I don't run a hotel so what do I know. This roofing went on all day. Sunday morning it wasn't much better. I was woken up at 530 am to the sound of the fire alarm. Apparently someone pulled the alarm or it malfunctioned. When I called the help desk to see if we needed to evacuate I was told No and they weren't sure what was going on.

The Water Park is GREAT. The Water Slides Are AWESOME! (not the green one though, I could not breathe in that thing! ) They've Got a Hot Tub, which is Great in Cold Weather The Rooms are great. Acorn Grill's Food is some of the Best Tasting Food I've Ever Had! If YOU Come, You'll have Lots of Fun!

This hotel is great! The mountain coaster is worth the 10.00 cost! The bar and food are excellent! I wish they had music! The water park is not worth the cost. It is small and way overpriced. However, the people, check in and out, maintenance, housekeeping and children’s den make this hotel worth it! The room sizes and amentitites are great! I would have given it 5 stars but for the overpriced water park!

This place is very nice, clean and professional courteous… They really go out of their way to to help you with whatever you need. We are here with about 300 other motorcycle riders for our GWRRA 2017 NY/ NJ Bi-State Rally, and there is no shortage of staff, food or smiles.

The room we stayed in was clean and well equipped with everything from stove, microwave to dishwasher. The view in the evening from the balcony is beautiful. The only con is that the young lady that checked us in wasn't friendly.

The place is great but the fireplace in the room doesn't have protection. My son got burned and when we asked if they have medication. They didn't have.

This place is good. There is large suites, a water park, and an adventure center. It is a cozy atmosphere in a log cabin feeling. However, my room was dirty, and housekeeping was slow. Also, the rooms are slightly overproced, but I would come again.

This review is for their indoor water park as I didn't stay at the lodge (i think if u stay at the lodge it's included in the price). I went there yesterday. The lake and the surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful but the indoor park that they have is a huge disappointment. I didn't take any rides but the staff member let me go in just to check it Out. There was a dump bucket, 1 or 2 pools and few water slides and I think some basketball hoops. I go Out and asked the price for that tiny water park. Don't be shocked with the price tag: a hefty $42.35. My jaw dropped and I said to myself if that was New York City I'll understand for it to be that expensive but for upstate (Cortland county) and for such a small place $42.35 is alottt of money. There r way better water parks which even cost less. If u got a lot of money 2 spend then this is 4 u. Otherwise not worth the $42.35.

Two words… bring money! Everything has a price! It's like coney island for rich ppl! I spent 500$ on two portion rooms when I was told it was a suite on grupond and it was literally two folds down beds in each room… Wi-Fi was horrible… the water park is nice but my kids only got to enjoy two hours because it doesn't accommodate you for you overnight stay… I give it a one star because it wasn't all it was made up to be online… BRING MORE MONEY FOR MORE FUN… UNLESS YOU RICH BALL OUT…!

I took my family here and I well we all in love with it we are planning another trip for the winter the place is clean the employees are very welcoming it's a home away from home.

The LODGE is amazing and the rooms are awesome. There is a lack of staff. If you have been to the Great Wolf Lodge or Kalahari in the Poconos pay the difference in price. The waterpark is a joke as well as the arcade. A balance of the money spent on the lodge should have been allocated to the waterpark. I feel bad for the investors that put money into this place it's a gold mine not being utilized to its fullest potential. Spring break week for the kids should be packed and the lodge fully booked.

We held Conference of the outdoor Writers Association of New York in the hope that hotel for 4 nights, we are delighted — everything was very nice. All the facilities are very nice, the rooms are attractive and designed very well. All the facilities, decoration, and housekeeping services are superb, all services from the very beginning, and to ask questions or request, whether it is the waiter or waitress, were very efficient, friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable, bathroom was spacious, all the furnishings seemed very comfortable, excellent! We look forward to …

My family had a blast at the indoor water park! The kids loved water tubing one day and snow tubing the next day! So much fun, we'll definitely come back!

Great rooms in off season. Prices can be reasonable with deals. 35-40 min drive to Ithaca. Nice units. Try to use anytime in area. Water park is nice and heated outside.

I booked through Expedia where it's listed as "Hope Lake Lodge and Waterpark, " but the water park isn't included in the price. When I arrived, I was informed that if I wanted to use the water park, it would cost us an additional $20 per day per person. That would have been an extra $80 a day, and for what? The water park only has a wave pool a a dump bucket, some basketball hoops, two water slides for adults and bigger kids, and two water slides for smaller kids. That's it. The carpet in our room had red stains everywhere. We nicknamed it the "Murder Room" because it looked like someone had bled all over the place. Everything about this place feels like an attempted rip-off of Great Wolf Lodge that just gave up. There are forest animal designs and furniture that looks like it was made out of logs everywhere. But Great Wolf Lodge has all of this stuff with a real water park, one that includes a lazy river, a huge water play area, a rope challenge, and more waterslides that are way better — all included in the price! The arcade at Greek Peak Mountain Resort is smaller and many of the machines aren't working. While Great Wolf Lodge has a huge list of things to do — arcade, indoor mini golf, a kid's spa, bowling, a huge outdoor rope climbing area, fun shops, Magic Quest, and more and more — Greek Peak Mountain Resort offers little more than that sad water park that isn't even worth the extra price.

Traveler Beware First, allow me to admit that I have neither written, nor posted, a review…ever…prior to today. I’m writing this review to ensure you are better informed than me. Like many other guests at the lodge, I “found” Hope Lake Lodge via a Groupon purchase. It will be the first, and last, time I stay at this lodge. Positives 1. Serene surroundings 2. Hotel rooms are clean 3. The hotel manager (and only the hotel manager) was willing to listen to customer concerns Opportunities 1. Deceptive sales practices – When booking a room, listen very closely for key words that are slipped into the discussion. The sales rep will describe a room and then slip in the word “partial” so when you check-in, the room you remember being described to you will not be the room you sleep in – unless you pay a hefty upgrade fee. 2. Well, we felt trapped and paid a negotiated upgrade fee – it was less than hefty, but more than we expected. We moved our stuff into the connecting room, but the air conditioning did not work. The windows only opened about 4-6 inches. When we asked the front desk to turn on the a/c in the room, we were told it could not be fixed until the next day. We complained and we were told we were “lucky” because someone found the key to open the box to get to the computer to turn on our A/C. Wheeeeeew, we sure felt lucky. 3.

I was very disappointed to find out that during their summer their indoor pool was only open until 9 pm. I could understand during the year when it's not so busy but during the summer when the lodge is completely booked? ridiculous.

The lodge is in a beautiful area. The facilities were clean and pleasant to look at. Basically a Great Wolf Lodge wannabe, but Falk's very short. The indoor water park is small, better for 2-8 year olds. My two biggest complaints is one the staff, none were overly friendly or would go out of their way to help you. We walked outside from breakfast to get to the pool and were told you needed to go back the way you came and walk through the hotel to get to the pool. When pushed the guy who left us in but with a stern talking to. How were we supposed to know, there are no signs! Front desk staff could care less, just give your credit card and go to your room. The second complaint, you only get passes to the water park, it is NOT free use from check-in to check out, really disappointing. They have an association with the activity zone across the street and they heavily pushed that for use when we couldn't go into the water park. Seems like a way to get more money from people's wallets. The other place we stay GWL, let's you use the water park from the minute you get there until you leave. It appears as if this is only a year old or so and they may be working out the kinks. We won't be back.

This place is absolutely magnificent. The lodge is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. I visited the water park, saw a few of the suites and checked out the restaurant and spa while I was there. The staff were all very generous with their time and helpful with whatever I asked for or needed. The water park was particularly amazing because they had an outdoor pool and hot tub that is heavenly in the winter time! The room that I was in was extremely comfortable and had all the amenities (full kitchen! ) and was quite pleasurable. Next time I come I'll have to bring my wife and the kids for them to have as much fun as I did.

This was a really great spot. It was close to Ithaca and all the Cayuga wineries. My little niece had a great time in the water and the arcade. Our room was very spacious with plenty of room for family to share time with us Hope lake was a very nice tp picnic and barbeque. The only down side was that during the week the bar closed early. The bartenders on the other hand were lots of fun. My only complaint was the quality of onsite restaurant was nothing to write home about.

A great place, every winter vacation in the last 3 years we took the kids to That place, and we will keep doing so. Great and beautiful facility, great water park, the rooms are clean and well Equipped, and the staff are really nice.

My husband and I planned to stay at Hope Lake Lodge December 13-15 as I had won a two-night stay and adventure passes at a bridal show earlier in the year and had one year to use it. It was very difficult, in the first place, to pick a weekend we could go as we weren't allowed to use it on a holiday weekend and needed to book the reservation one month in advance — the only time he or I have time off due to our jobs is holiday weekends and he is only given a few days notice of a day off otherwise. We are "old fashioned" and never vacationed together before getting married and that further limited when we could use it as we got married in mid-July. This is something we were really looking forward to doing as well, I should mention. Upon making the reservation, I received the confirmation email and realized that this stay at the Lodge did not include waterpark passes — I know before from family and friends that stayed there that being a guest at the hotel allowed use of the waterpark at no additional charge. When I corresponded with Mikaela Storey – the Guest Services Manager – her suggestion was that we book a zip-lining tour and ride the Alpine Mountain Coaster which was included in our voucher. I never responded to that last email as even suggesting in the middle of December to go zip-lining is ludicrous. Once the weekend came for our stay, we were still hopeful this stay would be a great time and relaxing even with limited activities to partake in.

We stayed here when visiting potential colleges for my daughter. So I cannot comment on the water park side of the lodge. But, that room we had was FANTASTIC! It was clean and there were comfortable beds and pillows. The kitchenette was completely stocked, except it was weird, there wasn't an ice bucket. It would be nice if the late night menu had more items on it, but over all, we really loved this place. When my nieces get a bit older, I hope we can all stay a few nights. I also hope my daughter picks Syracuse Univ so I can stay here when I visit her.

We have yet to stay at Hope Lake Lodge and NOT have every single whim catered too. We bring our son every single time, he's 4 and he has special needs. Not only do the people that aren't in the waterpark ares great to us but the people who watch over us as we swim could not be more attentive, kind, informative and just 100% of what they are supposed to be. Our son loves to run and be chased. We let him have a bit of a lead while;e in the water park area because we KNOW he's safe. The rules in the water park area are simple, if you are on the clock, you are NEVER permitted to stand in one place OR chat for long periods of time with other employees or guests. THAT in itself is one of the most refreshing things to see. While we swim, chase our boy or relax while he gets knocked around int he wave pool while in the shallow end, every one of those lifeguards watch our boy LIKE HE WAS ONE OF THEIR CHILDREN. That is one, if not THE biggest pleasure of being there. Myself and my wife have many many many friends that we recommend this place too and not one of them has returned with a less than awesome experience to tell. We call, we ask for deals or to let us know what the scene looks like and they know who we are! They call us by our names and ask how our boy is. I for one LOVE the fact that were treated like family. For those that complain about one stupid little thing that didn't flow their way and give all the departments a crap review.
