The staff is rude. The pool is gross. And the rooms are tiny.

Rooms are modern and in great condition, with super comfy beds. Free breakfast is fine, typical for free breakfast. Front desk staff was excellent. When we had a problem with setting correct time on clock, he came up to fix it for us. Housekeeping was just ok. Location is great for visiting the town, buttermilk falls, Treman park, and Ithaca College. Would definitely recommend over Hampton Inn (where we usually stay), which is getting pretty run down.

The Fairfield Inn in Ithaca is clean, modern and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The bed was fantastic and the service was great. The free breakfast was also better than many. Our one complaint was that the pull out bed in the living area of the "suite" was substandard and unusable, such that our son chose to sleep on the sofa with the bed closed. All in all we would be happy to return on future visits to Ithaca.

The check-in was very smooth and the front-desk employee was friendly and professional. The room was well-kept, clean, and tidy. The bathroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint is that the door to our room stuck when trying to open it so it took more force to get the door to open. Despite that, it was still a nice place to stay overnight.

The service here is incredible — the food was wonderful at the downstairs restaurant and the rooms were beautiful. My friend and I shared a room with two beds and a bathroom. The staff was very polite and ready to be of assistance. However, some of the towels folded in the bathroom smelled of urine and my sheets smelled like sweat on half of my bed, which is awfully concerning. Other than that, our two night stay was wonderful. The central location is a huge plus and it is very close to Cornell Universit.

It has a big room and a big bathroom. Up to 4 people can fit in their normal rooms. They have good Wi-Fi and the beds are comfy. Its comfortable and clean. The hotel is also big.

Worst hotel ever. Will never go back. Charged credit card for incidentals "just in case"! Didn't have any! Going to take three days for it to "fall off as quoted". Sheets were on bed sideways. Had to remake completely ourselves.

Very happy with our stay. The bathrooms were updated and spacious. The room was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was great too.

We stayed for three nights. I want to commend Allie in the kitchen who was most accommodating at our last breakfast on Sept. 8th and the gentleman at the front desk (whose name I forgot to ask) on Wed. Evening, Sept 6th, who went out of his way, as well. Housekeeping did a good job.

Incredibly unorganized hotel. We drove over 4 hours to attend a wedding in Ithaca and this was the hotel that was blocked off for the wedding attendees. Upon our arrival, we noticed there were a few people in the lobby of the hotel holding suit bags and dresses in their hands. After waiting in line to try to check in, we were told that the cleaning staff was backed up and they would not be able to check us in and no rooms were available. I expect a much higher level of service from a Marriott hotel, especially one in a town that is known for its hospitality. The Fairfield is relentlessly uncaring. The college child behind the counter showed absolutely no care or concern for any of the customers that would be late for the wedding, including close family members. If a hotel manager knows months in advance that the hotel must be ready to accommodate a sea of people who have time constraints for a wedding, that manager should amp up the staff and ensure that everyone hustled just a little bit more on the day of. I understand most hotels are busy, but if a service staff really cares they would be dripping with sweat doing everything they can to help their clients. I'm not shocked by the fact that rooms were not available, I'm shocked by the lack of reaction by the staff and the careless approach used to solving this problem. Poor hospitality and service, most likely due to poor management and bad planning.

House keeping did not clean our room, even though we were out most of the day. Was also disappointed that we booked a king bed through central reservations, but they actually gave us two queens. Hotel was otherwise nice, just wish the service was better. Breakfast wasn't great.

Very happy with the stay. New Property. Perfectly situated for Ithaca College Parents. Rooms are spacious and well thought out with regards to furniture and amenities. The large glass shower was excellent. This location has breakfast included as well as an indoor pool.

Everything was good at the hotel except for the oatmeal at the continental breakfast. There was too much water in it so much that there was water sitting on top of it. I had to add granola to thicken it. Otherwise the stay was very enjoyable. The hotel is so close to buttermilk falls that I walked there. I will likely stay there again especially for leisure I plan to come back to the area to see Cornell Ornithology and Sapsucker woods.

Since the Holiday Inn became the Hotel Ithaca this is what I believe is probably the best room for one's money when staying in town. The upside is that it's a well-run, well-appointed hotel. The downside is that it's just a little further from the commons than I'd prefer. But, so it goes. You shouldn't regret staying here.

The room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Pillows were okay, breakfast was acceptable, the staff was pleasant and helpful. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in town.

Nice big, clean rooms and helpful staff. Indoor pool and workout rooms on the first floor. A shuttle van at my disposal was the icing on the cake. Plenty of food options nearby too.

The hotel, built two years, located in Ithaca centre. From Cornell in less than 10 minutes away, the hotel is located in a huge shopping area. If you want to go to Cornell for sightseeing, then this is your a great choice. The room was spacious and the bathroom as well. Bed very comfortable and room very clean. The room also had a microwave furnace. Breakfast was also very good choice, from fresh oatmeal, eggs, bacon, waffles, toast, fresh fruit, and more. Coffee and tea all day supply…

TL;DR I had a great experience with this hotel. I would definitely use them again. Everything from reserving the room to checking out of the room was a breeze. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room was great (especially the king-size bed) and most importantly, clean. I had some food delivered and the front desk made sure it was swiftly taken up to my room. I was able to store the leftovers in the mini-fridge and reheat them later in the microwave. The hotel is in a good location (less than 2 miles from downtown and on a main road).

Wonderful experience. Booked three nights and wasn't charged when our plans changed and had to leave a day early. Clean rooms, courteous staff, and an overall great experience.

I normally don't write reviews, but had to make an exception with regard to this Marriott property. The staff, facilities, rooms, and furnishings exceeded all my expectations. I can't say enough about how helpful and professional the staff were at this hotel. My wife was doing laundry one day and the facilities staff made a visit to the laundry room to make sure the machines were running properly. Each time we entered the front door we were warmly greeted. When we asked questions about where to eat and things to do, the front desk staff were very thoughtful about their recommendations. They provided a bound book with many local restaurants and the menus for each one. The facilities were very clean and tastefully decorated. The best part was the hotel was conveniently located to the camps our children attended each day and to area grocery stores, and shopping centers. The rooms were very spacious and furnishings were clean and well maintained. The housekeeping staff were fabulous. Our kids squealed with joy when they arrived at their rooms to see their beds made and their stuffed animals carefully placed on each bed! Housekeeping staff were efficient, courteous, and always provided whatever we needed without hesitation. You can't go wrong with this hotel if you are traveling to Ithaca, NY and I am happy to recommend it to anyone.

This is the BEST hotel that I have ever worked at! They take care of their employees and make sure everything is done to the highest level achievable! You know the saying " You have to GIVE, to GET! " well that does NOT apply here! Everyone is treated equal and get anything they need or ask for that will help them exceed and excel in their job.
