Should be condemned by city. Carry a firearm for your safety. I stayed here for several months for economy's sake. I will begin with the (few) positives: As far as accommodations themselves, they are adequate for the money. The maids are helpful and Dolores at the front desk as well as Carol, are extremely helpful. So is Mary on the cleaning staff. Very helpful and kind, these three. These are the positives. We only stayed as long as we did because of these three helpful and kind employees. The one star in this rating is solely due to these three ladies. Where do I begin with the negatives? Firstly I hope you enjoy basket-pushing hobos camping in the stairwells, loud and drunk/drugged gang members congregating in the parking lot AND in rooms and I hope you enjoy your "free 2am wakeup call" in the form of either some prick pounding on your door (drunk/drugs/etc) OR the police pounding on the door next door! Or sometimes on YOUR door because they're idiots! 5 times I was rousted by the cops despite being a quiet and clean medical professional because they had the wrong room or something. The manager, who I will refer to as "M. G. ", allows this sort of crap to go on but the rest of the staff (Dolores, Carol) always promptly address my complaints and clear out the problems, but it's always "M. G. " the manager who lets them keep staying! This place is dangerous, scary and managed by a complete oblivious, rude idiot of a woman (M. G. In case you need a reminder)! If you're foolish enough to stay here, expect gang activity, homeless begging, people looking in your vehicle and your room window, dangerous people knocking on your doors for cigarettes/money/etc at all hours of the night/day (EVERY day is a weekend when you don't work right? ) and NO HELP FROM MANAGEMENT! The coup de grace? As I was moving out today due to M. G. The manager's nastiness (which I will describe shortly), the room NEXT DOOR had its door open and all four (shady) occupants were smoking pot (the whole floor reeked of it) and hassling me and anyone who walked by for cigarettes! And this is TOLERATED BY M. G. THE MANAGER! About this terrible manager: She is the most unhelpful and rude person I have ever met, repeatedly treating us as if WE were trying to "trick" her or something when SHE screwed up. We left today because last Friday we checked back in (after a trip) early in the AM (3ish) and paid for a WEEK. The night guy assured us we were paid FRIDAY to FRIDAY and the receipt even said so. Then we get called THURSDAY next and told that we are not paid up! Long story short, the night guy failed to tell us that is not a new day before 5am! We were NEVER told this by the night staff and yet suddenly M. G. Feels it is our fault. Dolores, the helpful lady, let us stay that Thursday night and assured us we could fix it. Again, my problem is not with Dolores. Next morning M. G. Is chewing me out on the phone about why we "didn't pay" etc and treating me as if I'm some criminal or cheat; as if I am supposed to know their auditing policies! Ridiculous. I ultimately told her to forget it and we moved out. M. G. Is a disgraceful manager and nobody should have to suffer her ineptitude and rudeness. TL;DR VERY poor and rude manager, tolerant of gang/drug/homeless activity, huge security risk. Go elsewhere for god's sake! I am NOT exaggerating when I say that your very safety and property is at risk if you stay here. Carry a firearm! I did and I was very glad I had it at 3am when some drug dealer came pounding looking for "Juanito"! I am a large man and was with my father, another large man, and this crap STILL went on. I cannot imagine how a woman with her child/ren would fare (not to be sexist)! Male, female, old, young… Carry a gun. You WILL eventually have to display it to scare off a gang member or dealer, no matter how clean you are. The ONLY positives: Staff members Dolores, Carol and Mary. Helpful and kind. All managed by a real "C U Next Tuesday".
