Had dinner with two friends and were able to sit outside near the water. They had a band outside that was great. The drinks are amazing and the food is even better. They have an amazing happy hour and it's everyday. Can't wait to go again!

The location is great. Plenty of parking. Restaurant overlooks the Clark Fork River and a beautiful mountain back drop. Check in was easy and hotel even provided transportation from the airport. Would be a five star if the rooms were more updated. It felt like it has been a while since the last refresh… but it's Missoula, Montana.

This place had a very welcoming staff. The front desk attendant exceeded our expectations! Thank you for an amazing experience.

Bike theft! While we very much enjoy staying at the Doubletree in Missoula our last stay was NOT a good one. We left our 3 mountain bikes locked into the bike racks near the front entrance of the hotel. Nothing indicated this was NOT a good idea. Next morning all 3 bikes had been stolen. We suggest the Doubletree put up signage that use of the bike racks is risky and there is no camera surveillance of the area. An even better customer service option would be offering a secure bike storage area. When we come again, which we will, we will bring our bikes up to our hotel room.

I definitely believe this is the best hotel in Missoula. River view rooms are definitely the best option. Food is great at the restaurant, staff is helpful and friendly. Room didn't have a fridge which I needed for medication, but they hauled one up for me.

Great rooms with super comfy beds. The views from the room where amazing! Will definitely stay there again!

Great stay with friendly professional staff. Our room had a awesome view of the river which was flowing high and fast. The restaurant was nice and breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back next time we're in town. The cookies at check in are a really nice bonus.

Nice place to stay. Haven't had a river view room but I'm usually just there for the night. Staff has always been acommidating. Couple different eating options right there as well. Parking can be interesting, but have still been fine in finding a spot.

They get 3 because the pretty girls working here. Otherwise you pay 150 a night for pillows that are worn out. A TV controller that's like greasy and doesn't work, battery cover is off too. You get green tiles in bathroom and grout cracks with hair and just filth stuck in between. Paint chipping in bathroom ceiling, But the worst is half cleaned shower, there was literally mud and dirt that wouldn't just rinse down. I payed to clean my room and walk around in shoes. What am expensive dump.

Nice room, but no mini fridge or microwave. I felt the blankets were not heavy enough to keep me warm.

Oysters at happy hour at Finn n Porter's. Happy staff and happy hour at the same hotel! A+ Experience overlooking the river.

I would love to give this place a good review. The help is good and the room is ok. However, when taking a shower the water went scalding hot. Had I not been able to quickly move out of the shower I would have gotten burned. As it is I feel like I have sun burn. Started as 1 star. Talked to the manager and they know about the problem. Moved us to a new room and gave us a night free. Ask about your room when you check in. This is a serious issue… This problem has since been fixed and the hotel made it right.

Met some friends for a drink in the bar. Nice ambiance, good selection, friendly staff. The drinks were very expensive, but well done. Cozy place and a great view.

Had a delicious dinner to celebrate a late Valentine's Day. Restaurant was busy but not overly noisy, and we were seated next to the windows overlooking the river with a beautiful view for dinner. Server was courteous and attentive and the food was delicious. One of the better places to go in Missoula to celebrate a special occasion.

We stayed at this DoubleTree on a visit to Montana University. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas in December when our visit to place. The room was clean the lobby was clean, I did not eat at the in-house restaurant but it appeared to be very popular. I did order room service prices were slightly high as you would expect your room service but the food was good and it came pretty quickly overall the hotel. Very clean the vending machines were rather sparse with what you would expect in the regards to chips and soda but overall very clean. Amosphere was beautiful very nice I would highly recommend.

Great location. Best FREE lobby coffee in the country (airline crews know there hotels). Friendly helpful staff. Very good restaurant and bar. Located on the Clark fork river and an easy walk from the U. Of Montana. Great hiking up Mount Sentinel (2000+ foot rise) at the U of M, minutes away on foot. Short walk to downtown Missoula (Higgins avenue)

We visited the DoubleTree for a company Christmas party. While the hotel was nice, we were in an open room, which didn't give any privacy. And in the room next to us, there was a live auction going on, so we could hardly hear anything the person next to us was saying. Aside from this, the Hotel was very nice, clean, and the staff were nice and friendly.

Really disappointed in our stay here. The room was clean, and that is always the most important thing for me. But the bed was horribly uncomfortable. Somehow hard but with no support? But the worst part was the shower. Ice cold to burning hot in an instant. So inconsistent that you couldn't even shower. The restaurant and bar is excellent. Staff was great. But this doesn't seem up to double tree standards.

Water switches to searing hot or frigid cold while showering. Sink faucet takes up to 5 minutes to get hot. No microwave or fridges in rooms, however there is a limited # of floating fridges. I was fortunate enough to receive one upon asking. Had the heat cranked to 74 degrees and room was still chilly. Vents need cleaned! Hotel is in dire need of a major upgrade/overhaul to meet Hilton "standards. " I will not be back.

Wonderful rooms with outstanding views! The restaurant in the hotel is top notch. Steaks, seafood, pizzas, and a full bar. Located 12 minutes from central Missoula. I will stay again!

They location is perfect. The space was large enough for the big event. The food was very well done. We had a great time.

They lost our booking on our *wedding night*, called me twice during the day of our wedding, then "managed to squeeze us in" to what was not a very nice room (visible to anyone in the restaurant, VERY loud AC unit, hot). Received a bill for less than what we'd booked with no explanation, apology, comps, or congratulations. We had informed the hotel ahead of time (while calling to make payment arrangements) that it was our wedding night stay (and we also showed up in full bride & groom garb). They did allow a friend of ours to come in and decorate the place, which was really, really nice. But still… I don't consider myself a bridezilla, but we booked a very nice room at this hotel as a special treat for ourselves on our special day, and it ended up being kinda disappointing.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights around the 4th of July and had a really positive experience! We had an issue with our room when we first checked in and immediately informed the front office staff. Katy at the front desk was very accommodating and took care of the issue very quickly. The views of the river were beautiful and the hotel was clean. We would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again if we visit Missoula!

My parents always stay at this hotel when they come to visit. We will have breakfast at Finn and Porter a few times while they are here and usually spend some time around the hotel. It is always clean and well maintained and the staff has always been courteous and helpful. The food is delicious; they will make Mickey Mouse pancakes for our son!

Great location — I always do my best to stay in a Riverview room. Helpful, courteous staff and I have always been greeted warmly at the desk… and, of course, those delicious warm chocolate chip cookies. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms with easily regulated temps. Close enough to downtown that you can easily walk. Excellent I90 access. I have come back to stay here many times and would be hard pressed to come up with a negative thing to say other than my current room has the tiniest toilet I've seen in a long time.

Stayed again 7/17. The best hotel in Missoula, I've been coming here for years. The staff is what makes this hotel worth every penny. Great views, close to everything, comfortable beds, it's bomb dot com. Stay here.

Hotel staff was great. The hotel itself is fine, especially since it is clean. But they clearly haven't updated it in a long time. Maybe they don't need to if they are getting a couple hundred dollars a night as is. Spectacular views from the river view side though. I was in Room 110.

Had a professional gathering here and happy hour drinks. Very friendly and professional staff. The setting (overlooking the Clark Fork River) was fantastic. The bar had a great variety of spirits and a small, yet good, selection of beers/ciders. The wine list was decent in size and quality. There was a lot of local drinks, so that is always a plus.

Nice big room, very clean, was perfect for our bridal shower, which we had at Finn and Porter, and bachelorette party during which we booked two adjoining rooms. Both of which were big, clean and perfect!

What a great hotel. Right on the waterfront, lots of very friendly staff and free airport pick up and drop off. Easy to walk to town, grocery store just a 5 minute walk down the street. I would stay here agin… do note, they have rooms with interior corridor access and rooms like a drive up motel with a door to the outside entrance. Just an fyi… we had an interior room. Lots of space and a very comfortable bed.

Old and outdated, bad amenities, old furniture, overpriced food, bad service, out of pool towels, no parking, no fridge in room, broken A/C, bad housekeeping. The list goes on an on… This place is average for missoula, anywhere else way below average. Stay at a newer hotel, and walk to the river instead.

UPDATE*** From a 2 star stay to a 4. I have to say, receiving a response took a while, but when I did, I was very surprised. So turns out that the manager was gone during our stay. Figures. With the boss away, the staff will play. But after some persistence, the manager at the Doubletree did "Make It Right". Please know, if you choose to stay at the Doubletree, and you do have a reasonable complaint, they will work to help you out the best they can. Thank you Hilton. I appreciate it. ****** The cookies at the front desk aren't going to cut it. My family and I visit Missoula often as we lived in the city for many years. This past Mother's Day weekend we decided to treat ourselves to a hotel room close to downtown in order to enjoy the weekend's events, and partake in the Mother's Day brunch Sunday morning. We read the flyer upon check in stating brunch will be served from 9 am to 2 pm. Around 10:30 am, after check out, we try to be seated for some breakfast. As some of you may know, the Doubletree doesn't offer even a juice cup to their guests at the front desk as they have the restaurant attached. We understood there could be a wait. What we did not expect was to be we turned away at the host stand stating they have reserved the whole restaurant for the day, but we could sit in the blazing sun with our two infants within the next hour. So wait, let me get this straight.

Stay was great staff very friendly. Only complaint is that the water temperature and pressure was very inconsistent in the shower. Went from warm to ice cold to scalding hot every time someone flushed.

Great views of Clark fork river from my room. Breakfast was good, rooms were spacious and clean. Great place to stay in Missoula.

Most memoribal stay ever.! For a friends birthday we got 4 rooms for a place to crash after a birthday party. At 230 am when we got back to our rooms the police came knocking on the door. I was 4 doors down and the only noise I heard was the knock 4 doors down The staff had claimed we where desturbing the peice by playing music on a cell phone. And had warned us 3 times. When the only time we had met the employee was to try to get our money back at the front desk while all 4 of our rooms where getting evicted. One of our rooms was in a different building. I would highly recommend taking your money some where that doesnt take your money with no services in exchange.

1day I get late checkout at 2pm and the next day it's at 1pm. I was kicked out after makeala woke me up banging on my door like the police cause a payment didn't process. Then they lock me out my room and had to escort me to get my things instead of letting me resolve the issue I was treated like a criminal. Not satisfied with how I was treated in that situation.

Rooms were clean and spacious, excellent hot breakfast, no complaints.

One of the better hotels in Missoula, but definitely dated and showing signs of wear. Pros: friendly staff, above average restaurant (Finn & Porter), beautiful location along the Clark Fork River (get a riverside room), and comfy beds. Cons: bad HVAC (I usually need to keep my balcony door open to cool the air because the HVAC is too hot), very low shower nozzles, and dated decor.

This is the first time I have ever written a review for a hotel room but I thought people looking to stay at the Double Tree in Missoula need to check it out before giving credit card information. I was very disappointed in the somewhat rundown condition of the room for being a Hilton hotel; one would associate that name with at least four stars. There was mold in the shower, holes in the ceiling of the closet and ants in the bed. Not only were there ants in the bed but when we were leaving we discovered an unbelievable amount of ants by the sliding glass doors; it looked like part of the carpet was moving. Apparently we were one of the lucky ones who got a refrigerator in our room that they just put on the floor and looked like it should be in a college dorm room. I paid 269.00/night for a 69.00/night room. Needless to say, I will NEVER go to another Double Tree Hotel. The pictures on their website, like 90% of hotel/motel websites, are deceiving!

Our stay was wonderful! the restaurant was excellent and the hotel room was very spacious which is rare for a double queen room! we will stay there again when we come threw.

I regularly stay here for work travel. Super friendly staff, very clean, nice rooms, comfy beds. The Finn and Porter is better than you would expect from a mid range "in hotel" restaurant. Great view of the river from most tables.

I am a Hilton HHonors Diamond member and stay in Hilton properties at least 30 times a year. This place does a disservice to the Hilton name. It is old, dingy, and worst of all for a business traveler, the internet is extremely slow. You can tell the owners don't care to maintain standards, as they have trained the staff not to seek solutions but to just smile and apologize for everything being horrible. Hilton should dump this place and no longer let it sully the Hilton name. I'd be surprised if this place would even pass brand standards for Best Western. Very disappointing! I left and went to the Hilton Garden Inn outside of town.

Buyer beware! falsely advertised on the internet. I've stayed in DoubleTree's in podunk towns that are 100 times nicer. First, the whole hotel smells of dingy, damp carpet. The curtains, carpet, wall paper, trim, and everything other than the furnishings are super old and run down (furnishings are the standard DoubleTree ones, so pretty nice). $175 to overlook the parking lot and the bathroom is tiny and dirty! Hairs on the floor, visible dirt, and stains. You can't close the door unless you do a little dance, because it clears the toilet by about an inch. Really disappointed. Stayed in the DoubleTree in Grand Junction, CO and it was so nice. The location is the only thing this hotel has going for it. Yes it's on the river, but for how much it cost to look at the parking lot, it must be pricey to look at the river, and it's still the same old building. I'm sure this place was the talk of the town 30 years ago, but we will never stay here again.

Rude service (most of the stay). Don't call and ask for anything, as it will likely take forever for anyone to bring up towels or the item you call about. If you go down to the lobby to ask for it, you are likely to be treated like an idiot for asking. Once in awhile you will get some of the nice workers but there are only a few. The keycard locks are very picky with how the card goes in. They only have refrigerators in 15 rooms, they do try to accomadate this if you ask for it when you get there. Overall, our stay was very disappointing. We will not stay in a hilton hotel again.

Recently did a photo shoot here and the lobby and restaurant was just wonderful! Room was absolutely spacious and comfortable. I even asked the Manager if they minded if I would be able to come down after hours to do more pics in my lingerie and they were completely fine with it.

Stayed in a junior suite with our dogs. Our room faced the river and we loved it! We will definitely stay here again.

Consistent rooms — but proximity to downtown and University make it a great place (although a bit on the pricey side as of late). The hotel restaurant is also not to be missed and offers the best wine lists in town.
