We have stayed at the Bel Aire for one evening each summer for the last five years. It is not fancy or nice, but it has a bed and a shower — laundry if you need it and a few other amenities. It's inexpensive and it's downtown. The people working are always nice. We also don't spend a lot of time in the hotel aside from sleeping.

Staff was friendly however conditions of the room were totally unacceptable, dirty, smoke smell, holes in the wet, yes wet carpet, I pulled back the blanket to find a dead bug on my bed. The chair and carpet looked like a murder scene. The toilet sounded like it was going to come off its base on the floor every time I sat down or got back up. The bath tub leaked and the knob couldn't even be turned off, it would just turn and turn without shutting the water off. I didn't not make the reservation to this place, a friend was in charge of booking and I will never go back again. I'd honestly rather sleep in my car than spend another night here.

I definitely will never rent from here again! The TV didn't work when we first got here, and the room was freezing and I mean freezing! We went up and told the gal at the office but she was no where to be found. When she cameback we told her and she flipped a switch and said it would warm up in there. But it stayed extremely cold in our room! The carpet needed a really good shampooing and there wasn't a Wi-Fi network to connect to. Very dissatisfied for spending around $90.00 for the room. We will never stay again and I would NOT recommend it to ANYONE!

I have stayed in some rundown hotels but this one is the top of my list. It was not badd but the beds were uncomfortable. 1 was bigger than the other. It look like something off a murder movie. The staff checked us in before actually having a sign for the room. It was weird.

This family run establishment has been the go to spot for me and mine for over a decade. New owners are great, I love the Bel Aire!

Place is pretty ghetto or rezed out, if you know what I mean. Motel 6 has better rooms.

Room was warm is the only good thing. I didn't notice when I entered the room but when I went to take a shower the next morning I noticed that there were no towels at all and it was 5 am so no one was in the office. The pillows were about as good as a saltine cracker…

Service was great. Rooms were nice and very warm and comfortable.

I got locked outta my room. No one was there to help. I was forced to stand in the gas station till 7 am they let me in and said we can refund you it might just take a while. I see no pending charge then 2 weeks later they still charged me and took my account to negative. So I called to sort it out. They played dumb and said they were gonna call the cops and hung up on me. Totally insane nightmate. Don't go here. Pos.

As a single guy, needing a place to sleep and shower, this place was awesome. The water pressure is ridiculously strong and I loved it. I stayed in 118 and have zero complaints.

Moved 3 times, locked out 5 times in 3 days. No apologies, no nothing. Do business with people who appreciate your patronage. Rent American.

After 20 years on and off with roy and pam Patel I have been fired by pam because someone repored bed bugs in room 122 and the Gm rick came down and admitted this guy had bites all over him but claimed they must be something else so pam rented the room again. I told her the next day that another guest the very next night complained about bug bites in room 122. She says "kim it's griz night, just wash the comforter and we rent it last" I'm sorry I find that totally ethnically wrong, so when I complained about that and the fact that she puts out food that's not packaged individualy and supplies absolutely no gloves or even soap to wash first and puts it out for people to eat is absolutely gross. So because I said anything and yes I do have text messages that I was fired for causing drama. Hiding bed bugs and feeding people year old stale pastries that housekeepers serve after cleaning rooms is wrong. So fired I don't care but people should know.

Smelly. Filthy carpet. So stuffy with windows that don't open and air conditioning that didn't work properly. Generally dirty throughout.

This is the most disgusting motel ever. Nasty carpets, nasty dirty walls. This place is so filthy it should be shut down immediately. Plus asked for a refund and was refused one. They told me I could leave but no refund. The horrible smell would make u terribly sick. No ac. Or Windows u couldn't open. Sheets were disgusting. The whole place look like it had never ever been cleaned. I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy. Completely horrible.

I was directed here by the Missoula Motel 6. At the Bel Aire: the room smoke alarm didn't work, there were blood stains and yellow stains that looked like bodily fluids on the comforter, sheets appeared used. Every table top was dirty with residue of grease and who knows. Residue from … a spilled drink? … down 3 of the 4 the walls. The thermostat was broken so it felt pretty warm on a summer night. I was so tired I tried to just deal. But then I went to use the tp behind the toilet. It was stained and dirty. The owner accused me of being responsible for the mess, because I was an early check in (*8:30). I said refund me. They refused. I called the non-emergency police number. They said I was on my own. I left and slept in my car. Needless to say, I am disputing the charges.

Worked great for our needs. Great location walking distance to downtown. For sure older but still clean and air conditioned. Front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating on such short notice. Definitely staying here again in the future.

3 rooms for Montana Football Camp. Roaches, filthy carpet, dirty linen, cigarette and mildew smell. No AC, windows don't open. Walked in, left immediately. Couldn't let our players stay there. Was called a liar by staff. Slept in van. Stay away!

The employee at this hotel is rude and borderline violent. I was stopped at a light waiting to turn when she drove her bright blue ford ranger into the parking line on the right to create her own turn lane. When I pressed ahead to take my turn she honked and yelled that I cut her off and she jammed her accelerator at my car. I explained it was my lane and she was in the wrong when she sped forward almost colliding with my car before speeding away into the motel a block away. I confronted her at the motel where she continued to scream and yell that I was cutting her off and that I am in the wrong. What a crazy person and certainly not someone I would feel comfortable staying at a hotel with.

When we arrived to the bel aire I went to the office payed for the room and received our keys, when we got into the room there was a sprite on the dresser but I thought no big deal the Maid must have left her drink by accident. About an hour after we checked in I hear banging in the door with the owner telling us we need to switch rooms NOW! Apparently they put us in a room that already had someone staying there! Then we switched to another room. The lights flickered and it was very dirty. The next morning we woke up to someone yet again BANGING on our door, we answered it and it was the owner telling us there is one hour till check out! Needless to say I would not recommend the Bel Aire Motel. — _-

This place is disgusting. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and im worried about the condition of this room. Blood on the door jams. Blood on the phone. I didn't know I was checking into hep c hotel. Im turning this place into the health department. There's tweekers outside. The room smells of smoke. I have more photos than I know what to do with. Plus they don't allow service dogs without extra cost of 10$ a day which is illegal. Oh and there is no air conditioner. I wonder how many rooms will be condemned for meth use?! Turn these people into the health department. Something is bound to be done. This place was provided by the police department through the ywca and now the ywca won't help me with a long term motel voucher because the motel staff claimed to them that I was rude and I never said anything to them but placed pictures of the filth up on Googleand this review.

Worst Experience I've ever had at a hotel and I have stayed at thousands of them. Place is dirty and infested, stinks and has the rudest staff I have ever dealt with my entire life. We ended up leaving early and not even staying the night because it was so disgusting. Don't be fooled by the low price, do not stay here!

Most Missoula motels are notoriously expensive, even the ones with minimal offerings. Well, last summer I needed a place for a few days during a week when it was in the 100s, and this place more than filled my needs. The air conditioner did a great job of keeping the room cool, the room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked just fine. Plus, it's at a great location just 1 block shy of downtown, with a lot of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. And they were nice enough to charge me the same daily room rate for Saturday and Sunday that they did the weekdays leading up to it.

Found used needles avoid at all costs cigarette burns all over beds and covers rude customer service just a bad place all together … go to YouTube and look up … bel aire motel missoula montana … I made a video it's horiable.

Had to escape my apt due to a crappy landlord who wouldnt quit banging on my door at the BEVERLY PARK IN BONNER (in case you were wondering) and wow, when I got here it was the complete opposite. the owners dont know this but it made me so happy I cried. how about that for a testimonial? :)

I found a burnt paper clip on the floor. It smelled like weed. Lol. Other than that its cheap but it works.

I arrived in Missoula, MT without knowing anybody and the staff made me feel very welcomed. I thought it was clean and quite. I had a very comfortable bed and big TV not to mention free Wifi. Thank you for the comforts I would recommend it to anybody staying in Missoula, MT on business or pleasure.

Poorly kept up hotel, cheap but air conditioner fails, beds cheap, no microwave, fridge, or coffee maker, or even a tub.

Traveling with someone who goes for the cheapest deal possible (and then asks for a Senior Citizen's discount). The Bel Aire Motel is not a "deal" — not in price nor accommodations (welcome to the mid 1980s, and not in a good way) We walked into first "Non Smoking" room — and there was no way it could be considered a non-smoking. When talking to the front desk clerk about changing rooms — I could tell she was ready to have a "fight" about something she had undoubtedly had a fight about many times before; saying something similar to; "I can't control if someone smoked in the room". She quickly and helpfully offered to change our room. The second room smelled a little better at first, but now, as I sit here later and after returning from dinner — the smoke from another room is somehow drifting in through the in-building ventilation system — and there's no way to stop it. Regardless of what the little sign on the door may indicate, there are NO NON-SMOKING ROOMS at the Bel Aire. There is smoke drifting in to the room right now as if the smoker was standing here next to me (those signs should be removed as they are misleading) The thought of going to the office and having a discussion about a refund and changing motels is not a good one (I can easily imagine this would be a very un-fun experience judging from the previous response), so will suffer through. Will most likely wake with a severe headache and mostly unable to breathe.

Large and clean comfy rooms. Staff is very friendly and makes you feel right at home, even if your far away from your own. The breakfast buffett is the largest and has the most variety I have seen for a hotel setting. Bonus is the 24 hr. Coffee or hot cocoa. Wi-Fi is top notch and no hassel to hook up to. Great location if your mood is shopping. Southgate Mall, right next door. All and all a great place to stay.

Worst experience at a Motel ever! Found this motel through the coupon book found at McDonalds and thought I am getting a steal, Right? Front desk person wouldn't honor my coupon and charged me full price! Not to mention how incredibly rude she was. We go to the room and as I climbed into be I feel a stiff crusty part of the top sheet. OMG Now I at this time of the night just wish to switch rooms, knowing that the next one won't be as bad hopefully. I go down to the front desk, the woman now sees that I have an extra person and proceeds to call me a Cheep B@#$! NOW I want to leave, she refuses to void the charge to my CC card. At this point I call the cops, as she does as well and needless to say the BelAire Motel did everything but offer me a restful nights stay. I went to the Days in down the street, paid twice as much but it was totally worth it.
