Drug deals everywhere all day, it was clear drug addicts stayed there. Lady at the front desk with long orange hair was super rude, woman with the black hair was really nice. Woman with 5 kids under 5 stayed in the room next door (they actually lived there) who kept yelling and threatening to slap and beat her screaming children, who screamed all day long and my daughter couldn’t nap or sleep at night. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone traveling with children at all. Worst hotel I have ever been to by far. Don’t be fooled by the pictures because it looks nothing like that AT ALL!

Whatever you do, DO NOT stay at this hotel!
Its filthy and unsafe. Cockroaches and bedbugs thrive there. Drug dealing in the parking lot. Appropriate authorities and agencies have been notified.
Staff are very unfriendly. Don't waste your money.

I had to spend a lot of my rainy Sunday morning outside because the door to the room that I had paid for just wouldn't open. Two very young men (Victor's son and whoever) were left to their own devices. Utterly ridiculous. Somehow this was pushed back to be my fault. I have been here for a few weeks with several problems I overlooked. Never again. Someone's suicide. Cops several times a week. Pedophiles taking photos of minors. The only plus is the restaurant next door.

Staff was very nice. Room was clean. Only problem is parking.

Great, affordable place to stay, staff was very nice, nice complimentary breakfast each morning and laundry facilities. The only hotel we found that allowed more than 2 pets, thankfully! Definitely will stay here again when we are in this area!

Hotel is great the pool is nice and relaxing. The rooms are clean and staff is friendly, good breakfast and close to shopping and beaches. Differently will stay again.

Reasonable price, the only thing is the hot water Doesn’t stay hot when you take a shower breakfast is not too bad, but other than that its a good place to stay.

Uncomfortable bouncy beds with no comforter… a/c doesnt cool until the morning. Food is tasteless and apple juice is watered down. Lady at the front was drunk. Pool was overcrowded and full of drinking Then they released water from the pool area and it was brown! smells horrible too. Dont let the reviews fool ya! we did. The only thing that was good was the shower head water pressure.

I've booked rooms here before and was pleased. This booking made for this stay I cannot say the same. The room they gave me this time is nothing like the last. I mean where is my desk and chair. I'm supposed to eat on the bed I suppose? Ridiculous even.

When we arrived the front desk guy was very friendly! It looked very clean. We went to our room and it looked nice and clean. Later that night we got back from the beach and I was sitting in the chair and noticed a beer bottle sitting next to the air conditioner. We were not drinking beer. The next morning we were packing up to leave and we lost a shoe it had fallen down kind of under the bed. When we got the shoe out there was dog poop under the bed! My daughter was playing down there next to dog poop too! It looked clean but at a closer look it wasn’t. Very disappointed. So when we are checking out I told a different front desk guy about the beer bottle and dog poop and he didn’t say ANYTHING. Not sorry, not oh no that’s not good. He didn’t say a damn thing. Didn’t say he would take care of it and talk to anyone about cleaning up the rooms. Didn’t say anything. He could have said something but did not. I’m only giving this 1 star because of the first front desk guy that helped us.

We have stayed at this hotel four years now and it’s our favourite hotel! We love the pool, the location, our room and the staff! The breakfast provided is great. We hope to make the Magnusson our home for one winter month a year. Kelly and Jutta go out of their way to make our stay a comfortable one and give assistance whenever asked! Can’t wait till our next stay! Sam and Ivy Norman.

LOVED! Excellent staff I mean really! Great place for people that are not "rich", to me it was very practical. Also I was impressed that it had a full kitchen setup, stove top, fridge, microwave, kitchen sink along with bathroom sink; in room safe also. There was an open floor plan area; toilet and shower area were smaller but also made the rest of the place "bigger". I felt is was perfect for me and my mate! Will without a doubt be back! Love that its close to the highway and everything else! LOVED.

We rented two rooms here and it's a nice clean and friendly little place. The staff are very clean and very considerate to our needs. As we stay in hotels alot due to work, I would recommend this hotel and if we do come back to Clearwater we would stay again. Rooms could be a bit colder, but no complaints ✌

The good: clean bathrooms, great shower with plenty of hot water and water pressure; plush, thirsty towels. Very nice complimentary breakfast. The bad: everything else. The area is off the highway and removed from absolutely everything but more traffic and located in a not so nice area. The exterior and parking situation is a disaster and looks like a rundown drug exchange and crime infested outpost. People are hanging out at all hours and it truly looks and feels unsafe. The staff is lazy, unknowledgeable, and borderline rude. On our first night stay, the desk clerk actually scratched his crotch and his armpits. BENEATH his clothing. If it hadn't already been past midnight of a 15 hour day, I would have taken my family and kept driving. The mattresses are a lumpy, bumpy mess as are the pillows. Televisions have zero reception. Rooms are dark with inefficient lighting and the air unit is straight out of a Motel 6 from 30 years ago. The top linens on the beds were not fresh and we shared our room with at least 3 cockroaches. This place is nowhere near worth the lofty prices they charge for a room. I would not recommend this establishment.

My family of 6 stayed at the Magnuson Hotel Clearwater Central for two nights. It is an older motel, but for the price, it was fine. We had a king bed in room 223 and two queen beds in room 221. These rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator, but that wasn't a problem for us. The door handle on 223 confused us at first — you have to push it up instead of down to open the door. The beds were clean and comfortable. There was a bit of a smell in 223 when we first arrived, but I sprayed a little VIPoo and we never noticed it again. The water tasted bad, but that probably had nothing to do with the Magnuson. We just used bottled water to rinse our mouths when we brushed our teeth. The air conditioners worked very well. The staff at the front desk were always friendly and helpful. The pool area looked very nice and clean, but we just didn't have time to try it out. The washers and dryers worked well, and so did the ice machine and free Wi-Fi. There was a refrigerator, TV, iron, safe, and phone in each room. The water pressure in the shower was really good, and the water got hot quickly. We had planned on going out for breakfast, but after seeing the complimentary breakfast the Magnuson provided, we decided to eat there. There were biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, toast, pastries, fruit, yogurt, milk, juice, coffee… the only thing missing was bacon!

I loved everything about this place the check-in was fast courtesy and easy the room was clean Way Beyond what I expected. The price was crazy cheap the bed was very comfortable in fact it was hard to want to get up in the morning for checkout they need a later checkout LOL they do charge you for a later checkout after 11 a. M. There's a restaurant right next door caught Lenny's we discovered that this restaurant closes at 3 p. M. And their food is outstanding I found out by The Man Behind The Desk the morning we were checking out I wish that we were told about this restaurant when we checked in then we would have set our alarm to get up early so we could have been over there on a Sunday early when we checked out at 5 minutes to 11 there was a line up around the building at Lenny's so that place is a must do the next time we are in the area and stay here. The room we had gotten was the one bedroom without the sweet and everything was nice and knew it had a dishwasher a full size refrigerator a stove a huge microwave with a very modern kitchen and very modern 2 shower head bath room with a separate toilet entrance like I said we were very pleased by our room. We cannot wait to make another trip just so we have an excuse to get away and stay at this place again.

All new & our room was a 1 bedrm apt with Full Kitchen & its luxury. Best nicest, cleanest place we've stayed @ lately, Its nice like the indigo's Hotels. & its pool front it is not on the beach but it is not far. Great price per nite. We will be back.

First room had a very musky smell and sink was clogged on first use to rinse. Staff was courteous and moved us to another room which was much better. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was barely something we considered since it was only what seemed like sausage gravy and biscuits, waffles, bread and bananas. Check out was very speedy and courteous from the front desk. Average but was for a quick and last minute decision for an overnight stay.

Clean rooms and nice ish pool area. Breakfast is pretty basic, but free. The exterior is dated but rooms are better than expected. No bugs or vagrants as other reviews have said. Good budget hotel. If price is definitely a factor, then book here.

The Good: Nice pool area with warm water. Great room sizes for large families (hard to find). Friendly staff! Breakfast was better than some, but didn't offer anything for people that have to be careful with carbs (I'm gluten free). The Not So Good: peanut butter and fingerprints smeared all over the table. Lighting ids great for reading in bed and relaxing, but not so great for getting ready in the morning. A/C unit is loud.

The people are very nice… I've been going to this hotel under different management for years. The place needs a facelift but… I have always had a good time.

This hotel is Budget friendly, very clean resort style pool area & staff are really friendly. I highly recommend this place. The breakfast is awesome.

Very unimpressed. Management unbending and noncaring to a veteran who booked a room paying with a debit card but was denied her stay because she had no credit card. No refund, no stay! Amazing.

Awesome hotel for the price! My room was very clean, the staff is super nice, the breakfast is good, and the pool is huge. It’s not fancy, but you won’t find anything better for this price.

The place is clean, I'll say that. And the rooms are a good size even if they don't give you a desk. The pool is big and has been kept up. But there is still low life people staying here. Could smell marijuana use at different times of the day. And the people here are loud, obnoxious at all hours of the day and night. I wish I was at the Clarion. I don't know how I will sleep here tonight. Even Tampa Bay extended stay was quieter than this. I am not impressed. And we will not be back.

If it's for a few nights it's fine. It has breakfast, rather poor and of low quality, to start serves. The rooms are very nice and the staff are very friendly and comfortable. It has a pool, very well maintained and careful. Free parking space, which is to park where it is empty. If you can choose not to choose with view to the pool, because the doors give direct to these and if there are many people in the pool will not be able to rest.

Looked sketchy as we parked near our room. The only clean looking thing in the room was the bathtub — newer caulking & tile if you ignored the rust stains. This must be why it has to be pre-paid! Lots of highway noise & outdoor light bleeds into room. Worn out sheets & blankets, old, very worn furniture, very old, saggy mattresses & never did figure out what the lumps were in flat pillows. We cut our visit in half and wrote off the $150 for a second night. There are some good reviews, but DO NOT be fooled! Beware!

Qingshui is a beautiful seaside city. The entire city alongside the Tampa Bay, beautiful scenery, clean and tidy, shops lined, bustling, pleasant climate, such as weaving tourists. The beach's sandy beaches are white, delicate and soft, and are a unique tourist resort. To this short 2 days, linger, left me a good memory.

Really enjoyed the stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Appears to have been recently renovated. The free breakfast was good (nothing to rave about but still a nice touch). The price was right and the location was good. Had 1 minor issue but the staff quickly resolved it to our satisfaction. I would definitely stay here again.

They welcome you with a handwritten sign. I love that! the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The free breakfast could've use some protein but still good if you are on a budget. Free Wi-Fi, the room was clean and comfy. And is within walking distance of Clearwater Mall. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel this is not your place but if you are on a budget and you know you will mostly be out and about this is great place to stay.

A good hotel for the price in very good location. The rooms are large and comfortable. The staff is very courteous, professional, friendly and helpful. While not a new hotel it is pretty well maintained. It is very close to U. S. 19 and Gulf to Bay BLVD. Making it extremely accessible to many places of interest. I think because of its location and setup it would be more properly defined as a motel, defined as motor hotel. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

It's what we expected. Breakfast Very Bad.

Head housekeeper's complete disrespect for my service dog and me made me check out several days early. I went to Florida for medical treatment and only needed a room for rest and that did not happen. I hate this hotel and their complete lack of service. I wasn't expecting much, but even the basics of renting a room were terrible here. Its like the staff were trained to go out of their way to make life difficult. I had to have my key card re-keyed every day, sometimes TWICE in one day just to get into the room! Not only that but I had to go though a fight each day to have the room made up. I wasted between 1-5 hours a day trying to get the room refreshed. Its not an extravagant room… just concrete walls, hard floor, and beds. They cleaning staff seemed so afraid of my very well behaved dog that they would knock on the door and move two doors down as we would talk about making up the room. I would take my dog out upon request when housekeeping knocked to "clean" the room, only to come back an hour later and find NOTHING done. The WORST PART was the way the staff suggested everything was my fault. My fault for owning a dog… the head housekeeper even attempted to make my dog lunge at her (failing miserably because my dog is wonderful. So proud of her. ) She shouted, flailed, and bounced around like a maniac-the head housekeeper, not my dear dog.

Roaches. Dirty floors. Towels left from previous guest. Sheets looked like theyd just made bed after last guest and never got changed. Room smelled of smoked. Nasty place. Breakfast is cheap waffle mix and toast. Disgusting run down place. Terrible management. Definitely a crack motel. No hotel at all.

They do have some quirks to work out. Pool is dirty and room floors are filthy. Laundry center is on 2nd floor and only has 2 washers, 2 dryers. Continental breakfast is really enjoyable. Front desk is efficient. Towels and linens are clean. I was very satisfied with housekeeping minus room floors. After proper adjustments this will be a safe, healthy and very enjoyable hotel. On the most part I was happy with my stay. Be sure to check out Lenny's restaurant next door. After all it is the best breakfast in Clearwater, FL.

I've stayed here in the past with no issues. Overall it's a great value for the money and has a very nice pool. All the staff prior was very friendly and helpful. But this particular visit I felt the surfer boy behind the desk went out of his way to make sure I was uncomfortable. I asked for one room type and was told it wasn't available. I took a stroll around the hotel and discovered there are many rooms available that matched what I was looking for. It was already 7:30 at night and you can see inside the rooms and most of them are untouched. Not to mention the parking lot was fairly empty. But before I made that stroll I went and asked for a room with a desk because I had homework to do. I was brought up a folding table that happened to be very dirty and a metal folding chair to accompany it. And after seeing 100s of sugar ants on the wall I decided to leave because I didn't want to go back downstairs and deal with rude surfer dude with the man bun. It was clear that he was unwilling to give me a different room. Again the place is actually pretty nice but this experience was enough for me not to want to return.

Great, reasonably priced hotel! Everything was clean and in sound working order. Tropical look and feel. It's obvious the owners have been putting money into this hotel. Pool area is lovely, and staff is friendly and helpful. Location is very convenient for town, airport and beach! Will stay here again!

This hotel has us being renovated, the room we had was nice. Beach feel, line green wall accent. Matching curtains and chair. Free Wi-Fi, continental breakfast, pool, etc. This was all fine and great for a cheap price of $60 a night. However, the noise at night from tenants (especially construction workers that stay there and talk all night) and the noise in the morning from people running up and down stairs and staff speaking and yelling loudly was almost unbearable. I would think the staff would have more consideration for their tenants. Overall not the most horrible stay I’ve had. If you don’t care about getting to bed early or being woken up bright and early, then this place is for you.

Just checked in for what was supposed 5 day stay, that turned into a 1 night stay. The guy at the front desk was very nice and helpful… Came into the room to it clean and nice. But found a flyer thing on the bed explaining all the charges they have even for towels! What hotel charges for basic stuff a hotel is supposed to supply.

I wish I could say something better about this place. But… The beds (both) were sinking in on themselves making it extremely uncomfortable to sleep. The air conditioning (set to 60) never really got cold enough to sleep under blankets. And was often sweating. Walls were super thin and could hear the TV and conversations of neighbors. It smelled kind of weird. There was a decent looking pool but never used it during my stay. I'm giving it a two because I could tell the cleaning crew did a great job when cleaning our room, really the only part of this place that showed effort. I stayed here because of the price and regretted it. Would recommend anywhere else in the area.

Clean and close to the beach. Everyone here was nice. Housekeeping kept are room clean and front desk clerks are helpful. There is a pool here and kept us cool.

This is the NICEST and MOST ACCOMMODATING hotel my family and I have ever stayed in. The price you pay does not equal the service they provide. They undercharge you by far! The pool is sparkling clean. The breakfast is great. Sometimes they offer lunch, too. I was extremely surprised with this place. The owner is super nice. His daughter went swimming with my daughter, at one point. They has so much fun together. This hotel makes you feel like you went out of town and stayed at a relatives house, they're so polite and welcoming. Thank you all again for everything. Especially during the hurricane that hit. I've never had a better experience.

The service and staff were great. Beds were comfortable and room was very clean. Only issue was the air conditioner didn't work well and the room stayed warmer than we like. Overall for the price, it was great.

Our stay was really good. For the price, I could not have asked for more. The room was clean, smelled fresh, and the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately we were not able to experience the pool as the weather did not cooperate. The only negative experience we encountered was the air conditioner. Only half the vent was working and it took a considerable amount of time to cool the room down to a comfortable temperature. My boys and I did not cover up with even a sheet because it was to warm. I did mention it to the front desk clerk and suggested engineering take a look at before another guest checked into the room. The staff as very pleasant and accommidating. I requested extra pillows and they were delivered within minutes. The continental breakfast was great, fresh waffles and biscuit with gravy were a hit with my family. I would stay there again.

I had a great time here. The staff here were great. The kids all enjoyed the pool. I couldn't have found a better place to stay or price on the area.

Denied service. They discriminate against debit card holders as if our money isn't as valuable as credit card holders. I know for a FACT that everyone who stays there doesn't have a MAJOR credit card because a guy overheard us arguing with the front desk lady and admitted he used a debit card upon seeing me outside. I really hope this review and word of mouth can really let people know this company cares less about providing quality FAIR service and more about securing more profit…

The location is excellent. Directly across the street from the beach. The amenities were outdated but decent for the price. Only complaint was the Wi-Fi signal. Couldn't keep a connection more than 30 seconds. I asked other guests who said the same. Overall nice and I plan to return.

Very happy with my stay. Family vacation and got 2 adjoining rooms for $60 each a night. Uncommon hospitality for a 2 star hotel. Great hotel for the price. Awesome breakfast too! Would gladly stay again if ever in the area again.

Clean room, nice television and only 20 minutes away from the beach! The staff was always polite and courteous. No bugs, no mold, bathroom was very nice. It was nice to come back to after a long day at the beach. For the price, I don't think you can get any better.

This was definitely a quality hotel in Clearwater city area next to La Quinta. The reception was well awake at 11.00 PM when at checked in. Room was neat and clean. Was only there for over night hence didn't utilized the pool but seemed neat. Complimentary Breakfast was a bit of disappointment with very limited options. Interesting place to watch Raccoons :) eating at the garbage can area in backside of the property late midnight.

We had a room on the second floor overlooking the pool. The pool was large, clean and open until 10pm. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. No outside or guest noises to interrupt your sleep. Staff was very efficient, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was filling and had something everyone could find to enjoy. Located close to highway and beaches, and they also offer a shuttle bus to a beach on the Gulf.

2nd worst room ever. Run far and fast. Smell of mold with obvious water damage that was not repaired properly. Random wires and holes in the walls. Stains on every surface, ceiling walls bed nightstand. Bathroom is falling apart and the microwave is burnt and rusty. TV has no power chord WTF? The woman at the front desk was extremely rude and didn't care because she "would never stay here"… Shnit hole to say the least.

I was here for a short period, the staff was friendly the room's were clean. The front desk was great I enjoyed the experience. My hat goes off to everyone. They make you feel at home when you are away from home which is no easy task. Lenny's is right next door they have great food, So doe's the sport bar right next door. Certainly a experience to enjoy. My bed was comfortable, my room was very clean, I had no problem's with the room or the staff. My experience was on a very professional and friendly experience on a professional level.

I was looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Decided to stay at the Manguson Hotel. From the time of check in till this evening has been a total nightmare. Upon arrival the front desk manager was in terrible mood and was trying to joke around sarcastically. Was a little too much and come to find out quit the same night I checked in. Once getting into my room I noticed the room was very run down and looked nothing like the pictures. The beds were old and linens looked discolored. The TV didn't work so I called the main desk and had to leave a message. The TV was circa 90's. The guy finally shows up reaking of cigarettes and jostles some wires around and abruptly walks out. This morning while I was still asleep a couple of maintenance men walked in on me after knocking once and saw me half clothed. I couldn't believe it. I walked to the main desk where the manager was dressed in a tank top with her kids laying on the counters. She could have could have cared less and brushed me off. It gets better. After taking a bath I was blowing my hair dry and the circuit breaker blew and it was pitch black in the room. Called the front desk and someone came over and gave some lame excuse the I was sharing the main breaker and it went out. Once the lights came on I noticed ants crawling all over the counters in the bathroom. All of this literally happened within minutes apart. I asked to be moved to another room and the man from the main desk said, do you want to check out?

Nice, older hotel. Wonderful pool area. Rooms a little damp and dated. Nice customer service, decent free breakfast. Good for our short, two night stay.

Great rooms at affordable rates with awesome staff and a kids goody box at the front desk with groovy toys. This place rocks, but breakfast could be a bit healthier. I stay here once per month, and I always enjoy it greatly. Lenny's (right next door) has the best breakfast in Clearwater. Walk over and tell them I sent you! They rule!

Was expecting a little more… TV has approx. 4 different channel that works 1 of which Is a jewelry shopping channel… And another is a TV Evangelist… It had a fridge and a microwave at least… Paid for a queen got 2 doubles anyway… And when I first turned the tub on it spit out brown water (rust all in the pipes) choose this because it was labeled as a 2 star and figured I'd pay the extra 10 bucks a night because I've been staying in 1 stars… And the price isn't justifiable atleast I have a proper TV in all the one stars I've stayed in… So just don't expect the direct TV to be anything more than a box TV and a few channels and run the shower as long as you can before you use it.
