The most amazing experience. We had our wedding there and we had the most incredible and amazing memories. Special thanks to Carlos the manager in the restaurant who all made it possible. Seamless service and we felt 6 stars hospitality, great service, very helpful and all the staff exceeded our expectation. Stephanie most especially had attention to detail despite the business of the restaurant this holiday season. Carlos took care even our small requests up to the flowers and cake, food was superb. We travel the world most of the time and been to other ritz carlton’s including Paris but this was really made a mark. Good job and definitely will be staying back again an again. Kudos to everyone.

Simply amazing, extremely friendly and a warm welcome. We always stay here, but haven’t been back for over 2yrs. It’s still as hospitable, great service and a great spot in SF.

With or without COVID, the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco always exceeds our expectations. Although some of the amenities have not yet resumed operations, their amazing staff definitely filled in the gap.
Ricky and I would like to acknowledge and personally thank a few: Rita Rose, who always went above and beyond to make us feel so special, Mei Lin, our housekeeper who ensured that our room was always spotless and impeccable to the last detail, and of course the front doormen and valet, we can’t name one because you’re all awesome. A week’s stay here is never enough!

Enjoyed breakfast in the lounge today. It was our first visit to a restaurant in over a year, and our lovely experience lived up to that special occasion. Neziel was our server, and even through her mask, her sunny nature showed. She served our delicious breakfast perfectly with a smile in her voice. Thank you so much for making our day!

We love San Francisco, and the Ritz Carlton on Nob Hill is the only hotel we ever stay at when we’re there… it is the epitome of comfort and elegance!
The location is great, the rooms have been beautifully redone, and the service is always excellent — all the staff are very warm, welcoming and accommodating.
We truly enjoy the special attention and amenities of the Club Lounge — well worth the extra money for a room on the Club Level!
When I “leave my heart in San Francisco, ” it’s always at the Ritz!

Possibly the best stay we have had at a hotel, perfect end to our honeymoon. Club level is the way to go, lots of snacks and drinks, special concierge, just all around great service. All the staff are super nice and polite, they day good morning/afternoon/evening and make sure everything is going well. It's those little things that really make a stay special. The location is pretty good, far enough away from the hubbub but close enough to walk most places. Right outside of Chinatown which was nice, lots of good food. Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

Just left my hotel and it was an amazing experience! The staff is so professional, thoughtful, kind, and anticipating off everything! The room was exquisite and so clean. I got breakfast and it was a great way to start my morning! They even let me do a late check out! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Check them out and you will love your stay!

The service and the rooms were just extravagant. The staff was very caring for us and our stay in San Francisco helping us with everything we needed. The mattress was very comfortable and there was just nothing we felt was wrong during our stay. Would definitely come back again.

My parents have brought me here for 20 years. I will do so with my children as well. This place is a second home to me. Always stay at the concierge level. Cleanliness is an obvious priority for the staff. Beds are extremely comfortable. I love it.

Always a comfortable home away from home. The concierge is phenomenal, the restaurants and room service, divine. The staff is extremely welcoming and professional, without being pretentious or snooty. Convenient and close to shopping, marina, Union Square, Nob Hill, and financial district. We love this place and have been returning fro decades. Much of the original staff is still here, along with some newer ones who have maintained that exceptional tradition.

I loved everything about this Ritz Carlton! The bartenders super friendly and knowledgeable about San Francisco. The food was simply amazing, I had the three cheese ravioli. Yum! Then of course the Justin Cabernet is to die for! Check out the in house winery Willow Creek Winery. Tip: if you go to the tasting spot in Ghirardelli Square they give you a pass to go the tasting room at the Ritz called JCB tasting room! Try the Leopard Red Blend… Omg! You’ll be taking this little leopard print bottle home with you!

Excellent Stay and SUPERB service from the staff at the Club Level. The hotel does not have a pool so if you have kids that like pools that would not be the best place. The club level would NOT BE RECOMMENDED for those coming to San Francisco for the first time as their are too many good restaurants. On that note the food is on that of a high quality bistro. For first time travelers I suggest the Michelin Star Restaurants in the city, Tommaso's Ristorante Italiano for casual Italian or House of Nanking for Chinese.

As nice as you would expect from a Ritz. Decadent rooms and pristine bathrooms. What really stands out however is the service. From offering a free wine tasting since the specific room they had as booked for wasn't ready (they gave us another room of the exact same type), to putting out an ice bucket because we had a bottle of wine in the room, it was above and beyond. It's the little things that elevate "good" to "great".

The JCB tasting room was excellent. The decor and sparkling wine were fantastic along with the service from Juan. It was an energetic atmosphere but not loud, and fairly full, as expected for a Saturday. Definitely recommended and would visit again. Prices range from $20 and up.

They should change the name from "The Ritz-Carlton. " It certainly didnt feel like one. Upset with the overall quality and service of the hotel. Happy to say that I won't be spending my money at the Ritz anymore after that experience. Rather spend that much money at another hotel that knows how to accommodate & service their guests. Plus the rooms weren't even that special. Overrated in my opinion.

Without a doubt, the genuine service in this landmark hotel, is one of the best that I have personally experienced in my life. Every person is willing to help, serve, anticipate your needs and offer you a unique experience. The location is the best in the city too. Congratulations to everyone in the team. This hotel has deteriorated. It is far from a 5 star. I was robbed by a hotel doorman while I was a guest. The front desk manager Drew, sent a doorman up while I was out after I specifically told him no one was to touch my things. Drew was rude and arrogant from my first encounter with him at check in. When I reported the theft, the 2 front desk employees did nothing but repeat the same canned phrase. They were to send security and a manager to the room to take my statement, but never did. 2 hours later I was still waiting for security. No one contacted mr. I returned to the front desk and was told, too late I should have have been waiting there if I wanted a report. That is how a supposedly five star hotel treat their who have been robbed by a hotel employee. The acting manager, who isn’t even on site, Eric Chung, took 3 days to contact me and spoke over me throughout the conversation. He showed little concern and did nothing. Third rate businesses hire employees such as those. This Ritz Carlton is third rate. Nothing was prepared prior to my arrival as per the reservation. The heat was turned off with cold air filling the room in Winter, which no one bothered to repair before assigning that room. An engineer had to come and disrupt my time by banging around in the metal heater panel. He then told me no one followed up on the room as they should have. Poor customer service, theft and not following up are a theme there.

I went to Ritz for a wedding. The ceremony took place in the courtyard and the reception in a big event room. Everything was beautiful. Great organization, beautiful rooms and everything was very accessible even for parents with strollers.

Beautiful property very close to Chinatown. Very easy to miss since on the outside it looks like many of the other buildings. Once you get inside tho its breathtakingly beautiful.

Elegant hotel but I expected more classiness. Check-in experience a bit lacking. Our room was spacious and comfortable but not spectacular. Bathroom big and well maintained. Ordered breakfast up to the room — was good but not great. Nothing really wrong but I expected more.

I didn't stay there but was given a voucher by my wine club for a free wine tasting. The ambiance exudes elegance. If you stay, please visit the tasting room in the lobby. It's amazing.

AMAZING! I recently visited San Francisco on business and stayed here. My view was amazing and their Sunday Brunch is unbelievable. They had everything and anything someone could ever want.

We had a smaller gathering for drinks and small bites at the restaurant before heading to a bigger celebration on the 1st floor. Restaurant service was great and they accommodated our every request. The larger event amenities were great too.

Beautiful architecture. Food served was amazing. Clean area with nice lounges. Old designs. Service was amazing by the concierge. Very quick and easy.

Very good place. We went to spend New Year's Eve with some friends who stayed there. We received very good service, the food and the drinks were very well done.

Naturally it’s location is terrific. I live just three blocks away. This is definitely a top notch hotel next to fairmont.

Room was decent. If I had to nitpick, TV was crooked — loose from stand; previous person had left their chicken bones outside the window. Otherwise service was great and location is convenient.

We are on our honeymoon and this visit has been incredible. From the moment the car pulled up to every last detail. They had a couple surprises for us throughout our stay including chocolate covered strawberries and rose petals on the bed. Absolutely amazing. Food is also incredible! Definitely on the pricey so but absolutely worth it!

Very nice hotel with great service in SF. Located on a hill so you get some nice views and it’s quiet. Dislikes — not near any restaurants except two in hotel which are pricey and gym a distance away in hotel basement and steps to get to some rooms which is annoying with luggage. Overall still lives up to Ritz brand and standards.

Attended a wedding at the Ritz recently, and everything was just top notch. As you would expect the decor was elegant and extravagant, but the staff we also extraordinary. In even the simplest interaction with them you could tell they actually cared and they were quick to smile and laugh with you. Excellent experience all around.

This is a beautiful hotel and it is staffed with people who want to make sure that you are well taken care of at every step of the way. My wife and I stayed here for our Anniversary and because of the Front Desk, Concierge and House Keeping it was a trip that was perfect! Thank You — Ritz Carlton!

Large, well-appointed rooms and extremely friendly and attentive service speak well of the employees and management team. Location isn't the best and bits of the rooms are showing their age (e. G. Poor water pressure, 1970s style light switches) but overall a great experience.

Got a few drinks at the bar. Bartender was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Great environment. I would definitely go back.

After some good experiences at other Ritz-Carltons I wanted to give the San Francisco one a try. We booked a regular club room and the room was clean, well designed and very comfortable in every way. The staff from check in, to the club lounge, to the doormen were friendly and happy to help. The service was exactly what I'd expect from a Ritz-Carlton. I see no reason we wouldn't be here again next time we're in San Francisco.

This is no longer a 5 star hotel. My room was not ready until 2 hours past check-in. When I finally did check-in the room wasn't the one booked, and when I called down to the front desk the hotel staff was either unwilling or incapable of dealing with it. I suspect incapable, because the staff was very pleasant and also well-versed in being apologetic, which is of course quite different than resolving the problem. What sealed it for me was that the room itself wasn't pleasant — it was too dark (the room colors are gray and black) with insufficient lighting. The windows are on the small side, so the natural light wasn't enough to alleviate the gloominess of the room. The room was quite big, but so oddly proportioned and furnished that there was a huge amount of floor space and then a lone chair and small table languishing against a wall far from the windows. And everything took forever — one of the scarce lamps was broken and it took forever to get household services. A simple coffee took forever to arrive in the morning. And so on. Everyone was very nice but it was frustrating. Part of the issue may be that the hotel is understaffed. I neither know, or at this point care, because I switched hotels. I am a bit surprised, however, because my reservation was made through a corporate travel agency and I hold a Ritz card, either of which should have caused the hotel to think about my planned visit as one stay in a a long-term relationship.

This place is immaculate. If you want convenience, beauty, and luxury then stay here. You can walk to the attractions and if you arent up for walking, just use one of the many courtesy cars. There are 11 of us and everyone slept extremely well in the comfortable beds and quiet rooms. The service is amazing, my 11 yr old nephew loved being called "sir" and "mr". You wont regret choosing this Ritz.

This was my first stay at any Ritz Carlton, and I was fairly impressed with everything here. The service was impeccable, from check-in to check-out. The room was decently sized, but didn't really blow me away or anything. I've stayed in larger suites in Vegas for a cheaper price. The location is about halfway between the Wharf and downtown/market area. Definitely walkable if that's your style, otherwise it's a cheap Uber ride to pretty much anywhere in the city. Overall a nice hotel if you can swing the price.

Professional, friendly staff — — the key to any good hotel. Rooms are comfortable and Bliss Spa is a nice benefit. Centrally located. The high end CA hotels can be quite stuffy and some of the boutiques have postage-stamp size rooms. The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco is a good business hotel. Only drawback is that it can be overrun by conventioneers when they're in town.

Very pretty location, and a fab hotel. Staff, as usual, are very good with the kids. Lovely treats in the room when we arrived. The bar is nice, along with breakfast. Luis at breakfast was great! Cable car not too far from the hotel. Would recommend and stay here again.

We had a splendid view, perfect for people-watching the streets below. The sofa sleeper felt less like a sofa sleeper and more like a complete bed, and the Ritz' location was right smack in the market, a short walk from Chinatown and from the trams. As someone who hasn't been to SF in a while, and as a tourist, I couldn't have stayed at a more perfect place to explore the city.

Right off the California Cable Car and adjacent to Chinatown. Was there for an event, but afterword went to the lobby bar. Service was excellent. A very tasteful place. Didn't stay in a room (I live in SF), but I'm sure the rooms are as nice as other locations.

Our stay at the Ritz-Carlton was fabulous! Location, perfect for seeing all the sights. Our room, so comfortable, beautiful and spacious. The club level has spoiled us for life! The staff are referred to as the "ladies and gentleman" of the Ritz-Carlton. Concierges Gabrielle, Alexander and Todd were attentive to our every need, they truly went above and beyond expectation. Evelyn, Leo and so many others truly provided the most exemplary service we have ever experienced. Looking forward to going back very soon!
