Reviews of Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort 2*
After a long and tiring day, we came back to find actual bed bugs in our room. Disgusting and inexcusable…
Excellent location for Anaheim Convention Center.
Very nice and courteous! Rooms were nice and clean and mask required! Thank you!
Very good value for money and close to various shops.
We just returned from staying in your hotel and everything they did for us was great the rooms where great the staff was fantastic helping us out with what ever we needed we give it a 10 and will be coming back there again.
Staff was helpful and responded quickly.
We had a running toilet which was fixed even though it was in the late part of the evening. Rooms were clean, large refridge with small freezer was a plus. The only con is they Did not have a microwave in the room.
You can tell this was once a fairly nice hotel but they just stopped caring. It also shows from the staff here. Any feedback I’ve given is seemingly brushed off with little regard. I would not recommend staying here unless you like being double charged for things, broken elevators daily, tubs that don’t plug, problems with a lot of the amenities that are listed, very thin walls, extremely low water pressure, and an overall poor customer experience. Also it seems there idea of a heated pool is using the sun as the heater and hope it stays warm?
The folks that work here are awesome. The Mgr himself treated us like we were royalty.
I mean this hotel manager gives you his full on 100% customer service. We come to Anaheim several times a year, we own a business, sometimes even bring our kids and grandkids.
I can promise you, WE will never stay anywhere but here from this day forward! Thank you Clarion and Management for outstanding service!
We booked this hotel last minute due to Super 8 not being able to check us in early. The Clarion had a room for us with early check in. Staff was nice. Room had mini fridge and microwave in it. Walk to the park was about 20 minutes and and exhausting walk back when you just spend all day at the park. I would defiantly recommend this hotel if u need a place to stay near the park.
Rooms are clean and have microwave, fridge and safe. Staff were very helpful and friendly food was good at the restaurant. Only 15min walk to Disneyland. Overall great value for money.
Yes seems nice needs updating a bit but clean tidy staff nice near Disney.
Staff is very friendly. They gave my daughter and I, a very nice room before we were to check in, with a view of the fireworks. The only thing that sucks us you have to pay for parking every day $16. Our room is very clean as well so that is always plus.
The building is a little dated. But overall the room was clean. Large room if needed could comfortably fit 6, sofa bed and two queen beds. Room service always made sure
our room up, it’s very quiet. I did enjoy my stay only down fall is he ice not very accesible. They are on every other floor. We were on the Suite level and the machine was not there. I think maybe slight upgrades taking place but never the less still inconvenient.
Had the car valet only to have money stolen from out of it. No response from the hotel after reporting it. At least acknowledge the guest and incident. No worries, won’t be going back there!
This hotel was amazing, we stayed for our honeymoon and went to Disneyland! Breakfast was amazing, beds were so comfy and the staff where amazing!
This was a last minute booking on a Saturday night. Good price and a comfy bed. The room was clean with coffee maker and mini fridge but no microwave. Self parking was $16 a night, in-room safe was $1.50 per day, breakfast buffet was $13.95. Nothing special about the buffet, they offer the same thing as what other hotels offer free-of-charge but our server was friendly and coffee was always hot and juice topped off. It is walking distance from the Disneyland Resort but at the end of the night, it was one block too many, for our tired feet. The Toy Story parking lot is right across the street. If it wasn't for our stroller filled with snacks and waters, we would have used their shuttle. I would stay here again.
Staff was helpful. Easy to find room I was on the fifth floor. Room was very nice. Ac was easy to use. Bed was very comfy. Maps and instructions to find vending machines, ice machines, arcade, and bar very easy to read and understand. For what it was worth I was good for the price I paid.
Very decent if slightly outdated hotel. The staff was courteous and friendly able to answer my few questions easily. The room was clean and well kept if as I said a bit old and dated but the bed was comfortable and there was a mini fridge for my use. The price is decent for the area. Would he 5 stars if it was remodeled and updated.
Clean hotel within walking distance of Dineyland park. 3 street lights. You can take the ART bus line for $5 day pass or $3 one way per person. Kids are a $1. At the Clarion there is no jacuzzi but there is a pool. Bummer after a long day of walking at the parks. Would be a consideration on staying again. Front desk staff was excellent helped with a parking issues we had. The morning breakfast is served by a great staff (6:30-10:30). Food selection was great. Something for young and old. We received service from both Jamie and Jesus on our 3 mornings we ate in. They were kind courteous host and prompt with drinks. We would definitely stay again at the Clarion because of their first class service!
We only paid $65/night so we knew it wasn't going to be anything fancy. The room itself was okay and we didn't spend that much time in it. The 15-20 minute walk to Disney became a hassle when we were exhausted so we paid the $5/person each day for a bus pass. The rooms don't even have a microwave which is a problem when you want to save money on food or reheat your leftovers. The food that we tried in the restaurant was disgusting and inedible. They microwave everything. The staff was friendly though and didn't charge us. I cant say for sure it was the room because we didn't actually see any bedbugs but my husband has a row of red welted bites on his forehead from our 4th night there. Despite the few issues it was decent enough and really not that important as our overall trip was great regardless of the room.
Honestly for the price I got this place exceeded my expectations. The Choice Hotels group may not be what it once was and this may not be the 'best' hotel in the block radius… but staff was helpful and courteous. The hotel was clean and my room had no issues. I didn't hear other guests (which was a surprise this close to Disneyland). Hotel food was fine and lower prices than others on the block for sure. But the highlight for me was walking back from the convention hall daily being easy enough — but being greeted with classic 70s and 80s rock in the entryway made me feel right at home.
First started out great. Very reasonable price, room were fine, and we were happy. Until night came. They failed to tell us that the hotel across the street has a permit to have a band play until 10pm. Every night The music was so loud that even our TV at full volume did not drown the sound out. Of course they could do nothing about it. Well they could have mention to us about the loud music. I’m thinking that’s why we got a good rate. So if you don’t mind the LOUD music until ten. Then this is the place for you.
Reception is so amazing and helpful especially Christine she does her job well and cares for guest! We got there and our room smelt is was not clean there was rubbish on the floor, but as soon as I report these faults kindly they gave me a room that exceeded my expectation! I’m so happy that they help you settle in with ease! Thanks Christine my sister and I appreciate it.

Breakfast was decent, nothing fancier than any other hotel breakfast. We walked from the hotel to the Toy Story parking lot both days we went to Disneyland and caught a ride on the buses for free so that was great! Bathroom does need an update but we only used it to quickly shower so we didnt mind it. There's a door that separates the shower/toilet from the sink/vanity area so more than one person can be getting ready which is something I love. Overall not a bad place to stay, we would stay there again.
Friendly and helpful staff & clean and modern room. I liked that I was able to buy my Disneyland tickets right at the hotel front desk. Parking was fairly priced and a good sized lot.
They went above and beyond to help rectify a mistake that wasn't even their fault. Very much appreciated and wasn't expected. Great location, helpful staff. Hotel was a bit dated, overall a good deal.
Hotel was clean and service staff friendly. We had an issue with our booking via Expedia (pricing incorrect — not sure who was at fault for that). They resolved it for us with relative ease when they were shown the booking. Location is excellent to walk to Toy Story parking and take the shuttle to Disneyland.
Very comfortable and clean; Keep the receipt of payment in restaurant and also you take charge of the credit card that you leave in warranty and when you make claim they ask the receipt to verify that you have actually paid in cash and if you do not have already danced haha.
The hotel is ok. Nice people, but frankly the rooms need deep cleaning and renovation. This rating is for what just might be the best dive bar in the entire world. It doesn't even have a name, just a sign with the world 'cocktails'. You go inside and suddenly you're back in the 70s. Wood paneling, oh yes. The food's not bad, the drinks strong, the people super friendly. Seriously, just go.
Spacious rooms, clean towels, friendly staff. Pool is huge with plenty of seating for lounging. Theres is a decent restaurant attached to the hotel, super convientent. Also a small general store. Warning, you really pay the price for convenience I forgot sunblock and had to buy a $14.99 bottle! Also if you pay with debit they "hold" total amount up front and parking is almost $20 a day.
Checking in to your hotel was incredible slow due to two people at front desk and only one Christine Stevenson recognizing the long line and asking Alex several times to help. Christine stayed calm and handled the bulk of the guest check-in in while Alex avoided helping. My recommendation would be to promote Christine into a management position and your hotel would be better to advance customer service talent.
I have stayed here twice in the past 3 months for trips too Disneyland. Fast friendly check in. Good clean rooms and like the fact that up to six people can stay in there bigger rooms. The breakfast was good, the food in the lounge and drinks were also good and reasonably priced. Kevin one of the managers was very nice and whenever he saw us made sure we were having a good time.
I would rate this hotel as average or above average. This hotel is not bad by any means, but it pales in comparison to the more luxurious hotels in the area. The elevators aren't as fancy looking as the other hotels and seems to be a little dated, but they do have plenty of them so that's a plus. During prime time the elevators might take a while, but down the hallway they have additional ones. The rooms here are pretty average nothing bad, but nothing special either.
Hotel a fairly expensive paid parking.
Highly recommend this hotel. Had a very pleasant visit. Room was very spacious and comfortable. High quality beds and pillows for a very comfortable night. Really great location. Next to the Anaheim Convention Centre, so perfect for events and conferences. Disney is very close too! Mere minutes away. Shuttle service is available from outside the hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I will definitely visit again.
We did enjoy our stay. Location was great — we used the bus to get to Disneyland. When I booked the room it said double beds. I assumed they were queens… They were full size beds. Husband and I barely fit comfortably… Luckily it was only two nights. We will not return unless they are changed to queen size beds.
Very good Hotel 2 blocks from Disney, something old but very well kept and spacious rooms. Parking with a daily charge of 14 USD. Breakfast is not included. Free and fast Wifi.
The Clarion Hotel certainly isn't a five star resort. With that being said, it is centrally located, the rooms are clean, my promotion included free breakfast and free parking, and it was within walking distance to Disneyland. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean. It had a Fitness Center and a heated pool. One of the best things about the Clarion was the room service was very reasonably priced and kids 12 and under eat free for breakfast and dinner.
Sleeping in parking lot of this hotel is quit peaceful. Hope they don’t kick me out. My wife and kids have a room. Hopefully security doesn’t mind. I did give 5 stars for the outside appearances. I probably won’t see the inside.
Very good for the price and proximity to Disney.
We reserved with get away today it included breakfast no microwave in our room. The queen beds are small the staff is very friendly and willing to help. We had a good time and it was really close to Disney Land.
Good place to sleep when you go to Disney. The buffet is good.
The hotel was not great but you get what you pay for. I used Hotwire and got a deal on my room. I switched room 3 times until I accepted a suite which was a little better than the first two rooms. The rooms are very dated and the bathroom is tiny and the decor is from the 80’s. The Palm restaurant was not worth the money but you live and learn. If you are ok with an Average dated room then this is the place for you.
We got an older room with deteriorated caulking around the tub and toilet making the bathroom experience a little gross. The door to the room wasn't in very good repair either as the hardware was very loose and the door had a gap on the bottom that you could see into the Hall from the room. We we're awoken around nine on our last day to the sound of the construction team updating the neighboring rooms. Good for them! All in all it wasn't a bad deal considering the small amount of time we spent in the room. The included breakfast was a step above a continental breakfast but anymore than 4 days and the powdered eggs and soggy bacon would have had me searching for a better meal.
They were super helpful & accommodating for us when we took a group of students from out of state. They helped us with parking for the bus & with everything that we needed. Rooms were great. The group liaisons took care of everything. They were great! And breakfast was fantastic!
Quiet, comfortable close to Disney.
Check-in experience was quick and easy. We were promised a renovated room and didn't get one. We walked in and the first thing we saw was a giant roach hopping around on the ground. The furniture looks like it was from the 50s… The wallpaper was peeling, the bathroom was awful. We complained and got a renovated room the next day which was nice… but they didn't have a king bed for us, so we were stuck with 2 doubles. They renovated the room, but skipped the bathroom! The bathroom was pretty awful, old yellow tile and bad wallpaper. The shower curtain was ripped, and the safe in the room is key entry only… Overall, please go to another hotel, this one needs a lot of work. The only nice thing was how close it was to Disneyland, about a 15min walk. Being greeted by a roach in the first room was not welcoming at all which made this a worse experience.
The Clarion is a decent place to stay. It's clean. They have rooms with 2 double beds and a pull out couch — so that's nice. The pool is nice, but there's no spa. Parking and breakfast are not included. Staff doesn't go above and beyond, but they do their jobs. The bathrooms and small and out dated. Overall it's a pretty basic hotel, but it gets the job done.
The staff was amazing! Our room was very nice and clean. We were on the 7th floor and it looked like they had remodeled the upper floors. Our carpet looked brand new. We enjoyed our experience at the Clarion in Anaheim. The only downside was the beds were tiny! When they say a double they mean it! Otherwise an amazing experience and when we go to our next Disneyland vacation we will be in the Clarion again!
Nice large upgraded clean rooms with mini fridge and microwave. Downside is terrible hard mattresses that were difficult to sleep on. Great price and proximity to Disneyland. Has a cute souvenir store and breakfast was great! Oh yeah no hot tub : (but the pool was nice to take a dip in.
We arrived at the hotel very early before check in and were able to stow out bags until our room was ready. Went back to the hotel at 3:30 and the guy said our room was not ready and guaranteed check in was at 4. Waited until 4 and was told we would be "upgraded". The bed was very comfortable and room was nice. However the bathroom was horrible. There was long black hair all over the bathroom floor and no tub. When showering water would get all over the bathroom floor. We asked the front desk 3 separate times for someone to come sweep the hair off the floor and no one ever did. Finally our 3rd day there some of the hair was swept up.
Well just checked in and a got a room we didn't want. Called front desk n they moved us into a great room. Miguel is great. Very friendly. Knows what he is doing. I'm tipping him on my way out.
The Clarion was great. The hotel is certainly not as fancy and modern as the Hilton and the Marriott but it is good. It was pretty clean for the most part and the room was a good size. The only issue is that the air conditioning was pretty bipolar but other than that, I enjoyed my stay. It is conveniently located right by the convention center and a short walk away from Disneyland. The staff was so kind, helpful, and the sweetest! I would definitely go there again as it priced well.
We stayed at the Clarion during the week of Labor Day. It was quick and easy to check in, the hallway smells like an old antique shop, but the room itself smelled nice. We were on the 7th floor and the room was updated, clean, no signs of any bugs and had a nice view. The beds are more like full sized, not queens, but super comfortable. Not sure why but we were upgraded for free to a larger room with a sofa bed, which was a pleasant surprise and it had a decent sized fridge for leftover boxes and snacks to take to the park. The water temp in the shower was a mess. Haha! But other than that, the breakfast buffet was great considering it was free. Parking was also free. I didn't have any negative experiences with the staff. Except for the older lady that works at the gift shop at night. She wasn't my favorite. At all. She had attitude for days. 4 days to be exact. Everyone else was really sweet and always smiled and greeted us as we walked to the elevator. And the ART shuttle to Disney runs every 15 minutes. I would for sure stay here again, and I will next year. Lol. Best value for the money.
Good rooms, friendly check in. Biggest gripe was that the gift shop was supposed to open at 4 and it didn't. Also my debit card doesn't work anywhere in the hotel even though it works fine other places. But for most purposes it's good.
Stayed here for one week and honestly it was great! the Wi-Fi doesn't really work tho! But otherwise it was great! It's super close to Disneyland and has shuttles that come every 20ish min that take you there and back! The staff is super sweet The rooms are a bit dated but they're very clean and spacious. The food there is also very good I didn't have a problem with anything the whole time my family and I were there.
Very good very clean Central hotel perfect.
Very friendly staff, large room, bathtub, hair dryer, washing machines, microwave, Ironing Board, affordable parking.
6 hotel on our road trip and one of the best! Absolutely recommended!
Dated bathroom. Super small. Other than that everything was great. If they would do some updates this place would get 5 stars easily. There was a Hispanic gentleman (wish I could remember his name. He was a bellhop. ) He was super friendly and worked May 24th when we arrived. Give that man a manager's position, he deserves it! Excellent customer service. I saw him more checking on people, environment, issues more than the general manager. I didn't see the general manager at all.
The room I reserved was a family room with a kitchen. It is very spacious and comfortable living space. The employees are very helpful and quick to respond to our needs. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Got a DBL room on the 7th floor. Guest services was friendly and knowledgeable. Room was fine. Had maintenance next door which was loud. Not great condition. But for price and location B+
Changed rooms three times an still was not pleased. Most rooms are out dated. Popcorn dirty ceilings. Ac/heater smells burnt so yeah. Mini fridge was so loud. Shower heads did not point down in my first two rooms. Just very unsatisfied on my vacation.
Had a 20th annual event at Clarion. Same place for 20 years. And once again our convention was charged in advance for parking, but at time of event there was none available! 160 people had to pay 18 dollars to park across the street at Disneyland. The staff showed no remorse or sympathy for the extreme inconvenience this caused. We received no sort of discount or financial adjustment for the event. 20 years of having our event there! Never again! If you are planning a event at the Clarion, I would suggest DONT! Putting aside the parking nightmare, the staff was average, and the food was bland.
I recommend the hotel very good and close to disneyland.
This is a great place for the price. The front desk employees were all very friendly and helpful. The location is great for Disneyland because the ART bus passes right in front of the hotel every 20 minutes. Yes, it is a little outdated but we only needed the room to sleep and it served its purpose. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfy, will stay here again during our next trip.
The hotel is half a mile from Disneyland. This is the only good thing I can say about this hotel. The room was disgustingly dirty has a roaches problem. When I called the front desk. The employee had someone come and spray. (He could not speak english) The spray smelled like rotten eggs. Needless to say we didn't stay there. When I informed the employee he said he knew about the problem. I cant believe they would rent out this hotel room knowing they have a roach problem. I believe they should be shut down. Btw we were just there on 3/14/2016 not a good way to start off our vacation to Disneyland.
Two stars only for how nice the employees are. Besides the employees, the hotel is very dated, the carpet in the bedroom (s) is gross, the fixtures are in poor condition and some didn't work, the coffee cups were disgusting, and the list keeps going. Overall, not recommended.
1st room was pee stained sheets. 2nd room the next day my dad cut his sensitive area because the towel had broken glass on it. Rooms were decent but come on really? no compassion and e enhad to ask for new towels that weren't blood soaked.
It was fairly priced and conveniently located. Those are the only positives. We were mislead when they advertised Queen beds and then lied to by an employee of the hotel when calling to confirm the Queen beds over the phone. There were only twins when we arrived and according to the manager, whom I spoke to, all rooms only have two twin beds or one King. They did absolutely nothing to compensate for the false advertising. The 2 Queens were important since there were 4 of us staying in one room. Not very comfortable with twins. The room itself was very dirty and the carpet was disgusting. There was no ice machine on our floor. The elevators are terribly slow and outdated. There is a small restaurant, if you can call it that, attached to the hotel that provides a breakfast. However, it's expensive for the poor quality of food. I've booked at this hotel in previous years with a pleasant experience. After this stay though, I will never book here again. Too many decent hotels in the area to deal with this crap.
We recently stayed at the Anaheim location during a very busy weekend. The staff was quite friendly and even though we were booked 2 tiny beds we were upgraded to a king. The rooms were clean and the fridge in the room was a nice surprise for keeping baby formula. The parking was sufficient and the hotel is easily walking distance from Disney. Overall a pleasant stay.
Overall, is wasn't a bad experience. The people were very nice and hepful, the breakfast was good. The thing though is that the room needs some updating and some repairs. There were some things that weren't the cleanest when we got there, but nothing too bad. The location isn't bad either, just a 15 min walk to the Disneyland entrance.
The price was good… at first. The room is clean. The location is great as its just blocks from Disneyland. I think the charge for parking is higher than it should be. At times, the hotel staff were not very helpful. The rooms could use some much needed updates as well.
Fairly priced, I stayed 5 days during Blizzcon (2015. ) Not fancy, very basic accommodations. If affordability is important, this hotel is not a bad choice.
The hotel is obviously dated but the service has been great. The room is clean and fresh towels are brought daily. Its an easy walk to the convention center without paying high dollar. The price is very reasonable.
Room was nice and large, king size bed and couch. Couch upholstery had a few tears in it. There was a desk and chair, but no lamp or power outlet within 10 feet of it. Seriously, why even put a desk there if I can't plug in a laptop or turn on some light. Parking is extra, and every morning my car was blocked by some delivery truck or other large vehicle.
I don't think I'd choose to stay here again! We were booked through a West Jet Vacations Package — and were told that in order to work with West Jet the hotel had to have certain standards, well this did not! I'm not gonna completely bash it, it's a cleaner older hotel, for the most part, a lot less in the rooms though (which is what you don't want) When we got there, we had to wait while they found our room, as it wasn't ready yet (no biggie, just stating) once the room was ready we head up to the 8th floor (with no help from anyone — we had 3 adults 2 kids and TONS of stuff) we managed! :) Once we got into the hotel it was actually not bad to the visual eye but once we got in there and opened things up (the sofa bed being the main problem) We noticed a HUUUUUGE blood spot on the underneath of the mattress (which had the mattress not have fallen down while opening we'd have never known) To me, this is revolting, I have no idea how the blood got there, who is came from or why it's there, all I know is I DON'T want someone else blood all over an area where my mother in law was supposed to be sleeping! So I called to complain, and unfortunately the manager wasn't in so they sent up a "complimentary" cot _ oh gee thanks, I guess we can sleep next to someone else's bloody mattress! The next day I went downstairs to find the manager still not in, so we delayed out process to disneyland so I could wait to speak to him!
It was ok. Although a month after traveling I'm still waiting for my holding deposit to be returned. Vending machines for drinks were empty or vended wrong drink.
People were nice and room was clean-ish. It seemed a little unsanitary. The maid attempted to walk in without knocking. Later, a maid left our door open for anyone to come into our room. Ice machine on our floor wasn't working. This hotel doesn't offer a free Continental breakfast like every other hotel I know of. The staff was very nice, but all around, I did not like this hotel, and I would not recommend it. Oh, also, if you have a car, they charge for parking. In a hotel you're already paying for…
Warning: Read all of this before you book! We came for a big family vacation consisting of 5 families. The staff was very friendly but that is the ONLY plus. Four out of the five families woke up with hives all over there bodies. Bathrooms were dirty when we arrived. The tub looked like it hadn't been clean for a long time, toilet wouldn't flush correctly. They charge you for everything too! To use the safebox, $14 for parking per day, and breakfast (although you are warned before you book about breakfast). Worst of all someone STOLE THE BACKSEAT OF OUR SUV! The whole thing! No one saw anything and they don't even have cameras so that we could see what had happened. When we came to complain they said they weren't held accountable for any loss or damage in the parking lot. Worst of all they said this hasn't been the first time such a thing has occurred. I am outraged and warn all of you to spend a little more for a clean and secure hotel.
Went up to our room to find it not cleaned. With passed out toddler we received a handicapped room, with water damaged ceiling next to window and stains on the carpet. Advertised as one diamond hotel… not too much better than the travel lodge motel we stayed in previously. Not worth the 129 a night and the 14 parking fee WTF.
The staff members were all nice. The room was clean, and I liked the large window and the view from the 9th floor. However, the sink was clogged, and though I wrote notes to housekeeping requesting that they address that, they did not. The ironing board pad and cover were extremely lumpy and creased, which made it hard to iron. I eventually took my things to the room of a friend who was staying at the Mariott and ironed there. The ice box in the fridge was not working, which sadly led to the loss of two pints of Ben and Jerry's. The shower temperature was not stable — too hot then too cold. The AC was very loud and turned off and on all night. With the fan set to 'constant fan' the volume of noise changed periodically from loud to very loud. Even with earplugs, this woke me up throughout the night, making this a very exhausting trip. I was here for a conference, and I know that most of the attendees were paying close to double to stay at the Hilton or the Mariott next door. With a few repairs and some maintenance, I think these rooms could go for a lot more!
Horrible experience! Our shower looked like someone puked in it, then to discover it was actually sewage coming back up through the drain. They did not have any other rooms to fit our family, so we slept in the room. With no option to bathe or shower. We moved rooms the next morning, to a room slightly nicer to find out that it would not accommodate 6 people either. The sofa sleeper bed was barely large enough for 1 person. Defiantly NOT 2. Called to find out they don't have any roll aways. DO NOT stay at this hotel! our.
Seems like they can nickle and dime you (14 dollars for parking/12.95 for Best Western style breakfast) and then give you a room that appears in need of remodeling. Washer/dryer running late into the night with 1/2 the machines out of service. Doesn't matter when you're so close to Disneyland. Plus is the ART shuttle stops right in front of the hotel. Our room didn't have a working remote and the Do Not Disturb sign was missing. The staff gave us one key because they were short (how? ). If you plan on driving, go to a hotel further away. Otherwise, expect what you pay for when you're this close.
Fourteen dollars per day for outside parking at what appears to be a motel! and hotwire does not tell you that you are going to pay for parking. I worked in the hotel business for years while gong to college, in los angeles beverly hills they never charge for parking! this is anaheim! next to garden grove! bait and switch is a felony in calif, I want to turn them into consumer affairs.
The hotel was clean, staff was all very nice. It's in walking distance from the Disney Parks. We picked this hotel based upon cost versus value. We needed a room large enough to sleep 5 people. The room came with free Wi-Fi (that worked ok) a small fridge and microwave in the room. The room had 2 double beds and a sleeper sofa. We thought the room would be a little larger but it worked. My child ate free in the restaurant although it was a little over priced for what was being served. The only problems we had was that their house keeping policies in the rooms seemed weird. They don't give you towels unless you request them, they never give enough towels, and they don't really do a lot of cleaning. If you leave things on the bed they didn't make the bed. They never put the iron and board away. They didn't wipe tables down if you left things on them. So you basically have to clean your own room if you want house keeping to actually clean. They only change sheets every 3 days of your stay. Other then that we had no problems. I would recommend this hotel for a family on a budget. Next time I think I would like to upgrade but it will be hard to find something reasonably priced that gives us more then just a bed in a room.
Close to Anaheim Convention Center. But slow Wi-Fi. Good swimming pool. For the same price you can find better hotel.
Extremely slow Wi-Fi: 1/50th my speed at home (at best). A grungy feeling, somewhat. The staff were polite and pleasant.
Hmm. Where to start. The bathroom. No exhaust fan. Temperature constantly changes. You don't appreciate a nice stable shower until you've showered here. Did a mention to exhaust fan? Don't drop a duece with other people here, it lingers. On top of that, the temperature control for the room is a joke. Even running it full blast all night we still woke up over heated. It just can't do the job. And to top it all off, someone (s) kept stealing the "do not disturb" sign from our door. We even went and got another one from the front desk, and that got taken too. One showed back up inexplicably. I don't like this place. Will not use again.
One of the most disgusting hotels I've stayed in. The smell was overwhelming and caused an instant headache. They have authentic KYSO carpet and plenty of interesting ceiling stains. Auto Variable shower too, changes temp on its own. (KYSO = Keep Your Socks On).
2014-Nov 16 through the 20th. Booked as part of a package deal via Southwest. Was week after convention and they are understaffed so that may have explained the condition of the hotel. Room upon entry had major convention funk, very unpleasant. 1st floor is pet-friendly, 2nd and up is not. However if fleas like you the way they like me, it's a minefield. Pool was closed the entire time I was there for inspection so if you plan on using it be sure to call ahead and make sure it's available. The curtains on the room were splattered with bird crap. Black mold along trim in the bathroom which also had the wallpaper peeling off. I would have rated this room as okay but considering the premium price you pay, expected better. Fixtures and furniture showed age and deterioration. On the plus side, bed was not broken, shower, coffee pot and mini-fridge worked. Location is very good if you want to visit Disneyland. Parking Extra $$$.
I love California USA and Google.
Place is a dump. Had a horrible experience here. Wish it was possible to give negative stars for a review. Plumbing is bad. Shower didn't work. Place is unclean. Mystery stains on furniture and carpets. Locks on my door broken. Front desk people were rude and not helpful. Rooms were very small. I will never stay here again. Compared to everything else around here. Not worth it.
Spent some time here for World Works. While I didn't stay at the hotel, I was in their conference area for hours on end. During my time there, all the staff members were extremely friendly and always asking if I needed anything. The food in the hotel is very plain, which is expected, and the interior is still from the 70's. I loved that the bar had karaoke one night — it brought out a fun energy for all the guests.
I was in town for the Disney races over Labor Day weekend. After using Travelocity to book my hotel, the Clarion was the cheapeast all around, excluding motels. After reading the reviews, I was indecisive about what to do. But, considering I knew my flight was going to be expensive, I went and booked it anyways. Yes, the hotel is dated, and needs upgrades, but the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant prices were reasonable. The Wi-Fi was free. There was the ART shuttle to take you to Disney for a ticket or daily pass you can purchase in the hotel lobby. The free shuttle (Available 2 blocks away at the Toy Story parking lot) was also a perk. I was only in the room to shower and sleep, as most of my time was spent at the parks. I only have a few complaints. I had initially reserved a car rental for the weekend, but after seeing the astronomical $14/day parking, I let the reservation go. Why should any hotel charge parking for guests? Same for the safe in the hotel. There was a fee of $1.50/day added to my "deposit" for incidentals for the use of the safe, even after I had informed the front desk that I would not be using the safe. The AC in the room was loud, and always running to keep it cool. I was told the pool was a heated pool, which sounded amazing after running the 10k and half marathon. I get into the pool and it was ice cold. Then again, I'm from FL, so, even the weather was cold to me.
It is in very good good sons.
The primers time q come to California and q tube at clarion was in general good, breakfast is delicious lo q me Di account is qnecesitan at the buffet more attention and the door to the centar of the genre.
