The downtown Homewood Suites in Birmingham is plush and beautiful in both the lobby and the rooms. It's their take on a Residence Inn but with a more upscale feel. The rooms have full refrigerator, oven and cooktop, microwave, and all of the accessories needed for a long stay (pots, pans, glasses, etc. ). The rooms are separated into a living room and master. The living room has a sofa bed which was perfect for our son. The master has a comfy king. Both spaces have a television. They do have dedicated parking, but spaces are limited. It is gated, but not covered. They are across the street from a few restaurants and bars (I grabbed a delicious Philly Cheesesteak across the street). The only issue is on Fridays/Saturdays depending which way you're facing you will hear the bar crowd until about 1am, but it was a minor annoyance. They also have a pretty good complimentary breakfast as well. Great stay overall.

This is a newly constructed Homewood Suites located in downtown Birmingham. The elevator's work with card key access only. There is a large breakfast area. The staff is friendly and there is a free shuttle service within a small radius of the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of shops and restaurants.

This was my very first time to stay at this hotel, and I was very impressed! It is a beautiful place with great customer service! The only negative thing was the very loud fire alarm went off around 10pm and stayed on until at least 11:30pm. I know it wasn't planned for this to happen but I felt I should've received a small refund or something. I had my final clinical exam at UAB school of dentistry Saturday morning at 6am so it was definitely an inconvenience and a loss of sleep for me. The girl that checked me out gave me a card with the general managers (Mr Patel) information. I emailed him and haven't heard a word. If he can't find the time to at least contact me back I will not return to this hotel. I had not only 1 room but 2 rooms because I had to get a room for my patient that I had to work on for my exam the next morning at $159 each. For each it ended up being $200 so $400 total for the 2 rooms for 1 night. 3 different taxes equaled $30 per room and $10 parking per room. For someone who spent $400 for being there less than 18 hours total with 2 of the late hours of the night spent with a loud fire alarm going off deserves some type of refund or free night stay. I hate this happened because like I said I was very impressed with everything else. Hopefully he will contact me soon to resolve the matter!

Very friendly staff. Great location for entertainment. Nice socials every evening. Better than usual complimentary breakfast. Clean with a modern design.

This hotel had me constantly asking, am I paying too little for all this amazing service and two FREE meals a day? Large rooms and such friendly staff. Marcy (the overnight) is the best!

Beautiful place to come stay! The staff are Super nice and they go that extra mile to make your stay awesome and comfortable… Plus the breakfast and dinner are delicious good! I recommend All to come and stay!

Really nice hotel. Decorated in a very fun and modern fashion. Rooms are big and the small kitchen is wonderful. Breakfast was good. Little bit of a problem with check-in, but it all was resolved.

The 5th floor room, king size bed/suite is very nice. Pool looks nice, but have not used it yet. Will do so later. The breakfast was ok. The eggs on the cool side, cheese potatoes so so, turkey link sausage, not so good. Wife had waffles which were good.

The hotel itself was very nice. I visited the hotel for a hookup. The lobby was lovely, and security is amazing. My hook up had to let me in, so it's definitely safe. The rooms are huge and very nice. The room I had the hookup in was 204. Very nice view. I would stay there for myself.

I love this hotel. Very comfortable rooms and located near 5 Points South, perfect area. Gorgeous bathrooms, too. My favorite hotel when I come to Birmingham.

This is a nice hotel. Nice kitchen suite with a full fridge, sink, and two burner stovetop. The parking situation is a bit ridiculous, but they do offer valet.

I went to an event for my wife's work. The inside of the hotel was very nice. The lobby and event rooms were nice. Parking was a bit odd. The hotel had the bar to the parking entrance up. I think we walked through an open (not fenced in) alley to get to the hotel and someone from our group let us in the door. This area may be fenced of in the future. For overnight guests, you check in at the front. Five points safety is ok, but it is not a super safe area.

Very nice hotel! Rooms are spacious & clean, full kitchen and easy access to surrounding venues & restaurants. A must stay if you're in the Birmingham area.

This room is sooooo spacious! Front desk associates could be a little more friendly but room was great.

Nice, clean rooms. Enjoyed the proximity to the restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly. Hot breakfasts were better than average. Only complaints would be (1) drapes don't close all the way so room can't be blacked out during the early A. M. And (2) it seemed a little petty to charge $10/day for self parking.

This hotel was very swanky! New, clean and very nice. Great customer service, plush hotel bedding and inviting room overall. It was a good breakfast spread.

Really enjoyed our stay here at Homewood Suites! The staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was amazing, and the room was fantastic! Nice patio out back with access to grill out and hang out! Great Indoor pool and all in a perfect location! Definitely will return!

Loved the decor! Some of the furniture looks better than it is comfortable such as the couch and side chair in our suite. The duvet cover was not comfortable at all. Parking was filled up every evening after the festival ended but the valet was accommodating. Continental breakfast was ok.

They have their own parking lot which is very convenient downtown. Very clean, friendly staff. Rooms have small kitchen and full size fridge.

Clean rooms guess friendly very peaceful environment I will always stay here when I visit close to all the highway exits popular restaurant and bars in walking distance.

The staff is incredible. The service is outstanding and ypu feel at home. I love the gatherings in the evening for dinner because you don't have to worry about what to eat on designated days for social hour. I work from hone, so I can work anywhere and the front desk staff was so accommodating. I would recommend to friends and definitely stay again.

Nice rooms. Comfy beds. My ONLY complaint is the view we had which was that of the bck of a restaurant with graffiti on it. Other than that it was very nice.

This hotel is a great experience, the kitchen while small provided me with basic ameneties for cooking except for any kind of oven. The daily breakfast was good except for the omlets which were a little undercooked. The maid service is good as well. The TV is great with a good selection of channels. The furnishing is functional and estetically pleasing but I wish the dresser drawers were deeper because I have a hard time fitting shirts in it. Overall I am very pleased with my stay so far.

Beautiful new hotel with wonderful staff and amenities. We had a King Suite on the main road and the noise abatement both to the outside and to the adjacent rooms leaves something to be desired. Otherwise we had an absolutely wonderful stay.

If you're at UAB, make sure you stay here! The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Perfect for working and R&R.

Brand new property. Extremely clean, very nice rooms with plenty of space. Guest services were extremely accommodating for any need. My only complaint is that the room seemed loud with little soundproofing. Stayed on 5th floor and heard a lot of street noise/sirens overnight. Uncertain if can request room not facing street? Otherwise, excellent stay!
