It was such a wonderful stay! Hotel has unbeatable location in a heart of Zurich! Rooms are very cosy. Staff is just so professional and kind, that it gives you feeling of being surrounded by very good friends. Breakfast has fulfilled all my gastronomical desires — I wish I could continue everyday all the way till brunch:-) Thank you guys!

There is no doubt that the hotel is worth the money. Everything is very good. There are light worn out rooms but within the price range of the hotel. The location of the hotel is very good. To train station 1.5 km, which is better to overcome on foot than by car.
Breakfast on a solid 4. Staff on the Iron 5.

The location and feel of the hotel was superb. I will come back if only because it was dark / wet so we did not go to the roof terrace / see the lake. The restaurant was very special but value was not for me to judge as a friend paid!

The rooms are very small. Otherwise everything was very nice.

The hotel experience itself is very Swiss — precise and polished if impersonal. Our room was rather on the small side but not wanting of any amenity. This is more of a base to explore or work in the city than a hotel where you actually spend time. The restaurant though was remarkable. While service is rather slow and prices steep, the quality and care of the food is well above what you'd expect for Zurich, and certainly a worthwhile experience. Even though the menu is limited each item is carefully prepared with top notch ingredients. Worth your while.

I am very happy for staying with you. The facilities are very nice but the staff, for efficiency, kindness and friendly approach has been just outstanding. In particular Stephan at the Reception and Teresa at the Restaurant, they are just fantastic and made me feel special. I will be back next time I come to Zurich, this is for sure. This is like home in Zurich.

Only able to stay one night but staff is very friendly. The welcome beer/cocktail options was lovely. Rooms are very small. Doors were charming (looks like a bank vault door). Everything is very small but nicely decorated and comfortable. Pricey but it's Zurich so what do you expect. Located right behind opera house so easy to find.

I loved the Hotel and all the staff. =) They were all so helpful and friendly =) I left my makeup bag in my room and they mailed it back to the United States for me. I would go back and stay again for sure.

One night stay, Room (47) could be booked at short notice. The reception was very nice, all staff polite, helpful and accommodating. Especially since there were also some problems, like the room phone (a great thing) which was defective, also a defective drain in the shower as a result of a small flood. All problems solved in a timely manner — hopefully drained, so that the next guests don't stand ankle deep in the water:)
The breakfast was great in a friendly atmosphere — although not quite inexpensive.
All in all a good hotel in an unbeatable location and very nice hosts.

This beautiful hotel is centrally located close to all the major sights and to many restaurants. The mattress and pillows at this hotel were heavenly — and by that I mean that you could spend an entire day in the comfy bed without getting up. The staff at the property is very friendly.

Really the perfect hotel; It's all right! The staff is extremely friendly, helpful; The rooms are nice and have the right mix between stylish yet classic, cosy and functional at the same time. The location is top, the kitchen extraordinarily (especially due to the new approaches of the chef; I think he has a pretty big future ahead of him! ).
All around recommended — for business as well as leisure/city break!

I use to stay in your hotel quite often (working reasons, not amusement). Generally the room is all right. But this time the room was really small with no possibility of upgrade. Enough for overnight but just that. Taking into account the competence surrounding you must consider it. By the way, this time, was the heating system broken? The temperature in the room was quite cool and the duvet a little bit short. Thank you and Merry Christmas. Jerónimo.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Fantastic location. Neat, very clean and comfortable room with spacious and very fresh bathroom.
The staff is AMAZING, no other word than that will do. The front desk especially went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible and made us feel so welcome and well taken care of we did not want to leave.
If you are going to Zürich, this is the place to stay. We will most certainly be back.

Very disappointing! Arrived at around 11:00 pm after a long 30+ hour-long intercontinental flight. I was travelling alone on a last-minute trip and was not excpecting much of the hotel to begin with as I got a single, city-view room, but I at least expected it to be at SLH standards… it was not! When I checked in I asked if there was anything open for dinner at that time as I had not had time at my last connection to have dinner and was told nothing was open, I later found out that was not true and there were a couple of things open… but this would have passed unnoticed if it had been a sole event. When I got to my room it was freezing! I tried to move the a/c to the highest temperature and went to bed, only to wake up a couple of hours later shivering from the cold… I called the front desk and found out the heat (radiator) was off! I turned it on but it took a couple of hours to warm the room… needless to say I did not gey any sleep! The following day I went out and made sure the heat was on… when I got back that night the heat was on but so was the a/c at maximun speed on the lowest temperature! The room was freezing cold again… really?! Turned the a/c off but again took a couple of hours to heat the room. When I was asked at checkout how was my stay and I explained all this, I was offered a COFFEE! Not before I was charged for the transit card which I had not used and was able to return.

“Excellent stay, very comfortable bed and extremely nice cozy room. ” The rooms are very spacious. Hotel staff are the best with some great service. They were polite, fast and very dedicated. They went out of the way to give out suggestions and recommendations. It's in a wonderful neighbourhood, has beautiful old world charm as far as the ambience and decor. The location in town is excellent with bars, restaurants, shopping and transportation within easy walking distances. I Lovely hotel, great staff, great food, no issues at all, would stay again.

The staff was very helpful at the hotel, and the breakfast was quite good. Other than that, not much really stood out. The rooms were quite small, view was ok, and for the price we paid even with an upgrade we expected way more (and better). The hallways are very dated and the decor is very wanting. The bed was far too stiff and uncomfortable. Parking for our rental car was of course overpriced but at least they had it and nothing went wrong (like some reviews I had read prior to staying here). Overall, I thought it was quite mediocre and was expecting way more based on their promotional materials, photos, and the level SLH hotels should be. I do not have any pictures to even post for the review because it was that unmemorable. Also, I emailed the front desk after our visit with a question about a billing issue and they still have NOT responded to me yet… sad!

Beautiful hotel in old style right on Lake Zurich. Mix of old and futuristic elements. Great room and excellent service.

Good location, good service.

Well decorated and very comfortable room, we had a really nice stay! The receptionists were also very kind and helpful. Also the roof top is a great place to lay down and have a leisure time with the old Zurich.

Very good hotel, albeit at a high price (probably OK for Zurich conditions). Super I found the electric shutters in my room. The room was thus very well darkened.

Comfortable idiosyncractic rooms. Good front desk service. The location is very close to the energetic Opera plaza with street wurst vendors, big crowds and a great lakeside view. Also close to many restaurants and some grocery stores. Not really close to the main train station.

We had a lovely stay in Zurich. The hotel is well positioned, the food was excellent and the staff attentive.

Generally, a very nice hotel for the money. Rooms are small, but sufficient for short stays. Bathroom towels should be upgraded. Front desk personnel is not well trained, in my view.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best prices around… Location is great. Excellent for business and pleasure. Close to the Metro or for a leisurely walk along the lake. All 15+ kilometers of it. Staff amazing. Room is small but has everything you need and more even an adjustable bed.

Great rooms that really love up to the description: small (but still quite big enough! ) and luxury. Walking distance from restaurants and bars, and we were given a complimentary beer at the hotel bar on arrival. Friendly and polite staff. A nice find.

The most welcoming and helpful staff imaginable, elegant rooms, divine food, wonderful service and a great location. I will surely be back.

Being for the first time in Zurich was an experience by itself but the staff from here made me to feel like a small child that is pampered by many loving grandma's. And go on the top floor to see the roof view, it's just amazing.

Very nice hotel and friendly staff though rooms are a bit on the small side.

Picnic was good, however, you must run a lot to find a nice places on the Lake.
Picnic basket is more expensive, but always an experience.

Excellent placement, nice small hotel and perfect service. Slightly expensive but it worths…

I found this hotel to be accommodating and warm. It had the feel of a small family run establishment, in that all of the employees were friendly and caring. The room was very clean and quiet and had air conditioning which was very welcome. The breakfast was outstanding as well. The location was superb.

Excellent hotel situated in the centre of Zurich just opposite Opernhaus, very close to the lake. Perfect friendly staff, excellent kitchen, incredible rooms (not too huge but very comfortable). I have been staying there for the last three years, this is the single hotel in the world where I feel myself like at home. The least time I was staying there with my family — the child was hedged round with nice care and attention by all staff, special food was cooked. I look forward to stay there during each next visit to Zurich.
