Friendly and very helpful staff. Loved the dining area again great friendly attentive staff. Location is great for getting around. The hotel itself was delightful.

Great location near Lake Zürich and the Old Town, round the corner from the Opera House. Historical building but comfortable rooms.

Had to cancel a three night reservation over one month in advance and the hotel refused to give a refund. I had planned to reschedule the trip for the next month and now I would never consider staying here again as it’s poor business to not work with clients and to take their money for nothing.

Wonderful hotel in Zurich. Set in a quiet location close to the central part of Zurich, it was easy access to wherever we wanted to go. Our flight arrived early and we were at the hotel by 7:20AM. To our surprise our room was ready and Sebastian immediately helped us up to our room with our luggage. He also provided suggestions of things to do in the morning that were close and relaxing after our flight from Chicago. The breakfast at the hotel was very nice and provided a large offering items for a filling start to the day. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food and service were exceptional. Beautiful old building with wonderful rooms and great staff. We would highly recommend a stay here. We will certainly go back when we return to Zurich.

The Romantik Hotel Europe is a very special hotel located in an ideal part of Zurich, steps from the lake, parks, and all of the attractions of the city. If you wish to explore further, the hotel is also a few blocks from Stadelhofen station with access to the city's mass transit system. The staff of the hotel is extraordinary, friendly, helpful, and professional. Breakfast was also excellent. The room was charming and quiet, in the courtyard, which was perfect since our stay coincided with Street Parade, and the hotel took that into consideration when choosing our room. Prior to our arrival, the hotel was also very helpful in advising us how to get to the hotel because of the large crowds expected for the Street Parade.

In a beautiful old building, next to the lake is this small hotel. Very clean rooms and white linen. My room had a sympathetic bathroom. In general, I recommend).

Best location. Very nice and helpful staff both at check-in and also in the restaurant / bar. Comfortable and clean rooms. Nice personal amenities — cookies, apples etc. Kid friendly. Love the "Devils " bar and whiskey selection! I would recommend this hotel.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We arrived early morning and were very tired. They allowed for us to check in around 1pm so that we could get a much needed nap to help acclimate to the time change. Our first room was charming but lacked space to store belongings. Unfortunately, a boisterous family was staying on our floor the first night of our stay and we were woken from sleep. The staff was very nice and moved us to another floor. Our second room was very nice, but smaller than the first. However, it did have an outside terrace which was very nice. The staff are very polite and cordial at the hotel. They offer some treats in their small lobby like apples, butter cookies and croissants. One suggestion would to be either have coffee available in the lobby or in individual rooms. If you are a larger person, you may not want to stay here. The shower is very small as is the elevator. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and liked the location (close to opera house, cafes and the Lake). We rented bikes and were able to see much of the city. We loved Zurich and love it’s charm, beauty and truly appreciated our stay at the hotel.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at this amazinng hotel. Beautiful and installed in a very good location, a few meters from the Openhaus. The room was beautiful and spotless. The staff is its best asset. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. They do succeed! We hope to repeat the experience!

Everything about this hotel is perfect and there is not one improvement area that I could suggest. Well… as there is always a scope for improvement, if there is only one thing that I feel should be taken care of immediately is the variety in the menu. I feel the breakfast spread is not adequate (European standards) and also the variety of food available is very limited (again by European standards). If this is taken care of, a long stay will also be pleasurable. An aspect of my experience that stood out the most is the excellent behavior of all staff and each and every one is extremely customer friendly, courteous and professional. Keep this up.

The reception was very friendly and most helpful. Cute flower bomb room with great bed linen and fluffy pillows. Bathroom was lovely, great bathtub with nice towels. Only thing I could have wished for was a coffee and tea maker in the room as well as some more electrical plugs, for example close to the bed. Restaurant (French) is nice and with a small but good selection of wines. Its a delightful little hotel in a great location.

I was for 1 Week in your Hotel, it was such a pleasant stay. Which I will always remember. The Staff the Room the Food was simply Perfect. I enjoyed it so much. I would highly recommend your Hotel to any Zurich Visitors. A warm Welcoming Place…

We stayed here for one night right after arriving to Switzerland and it's a terrific hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable, the service was very polite, and the location is just about perfect (near the Opera house). We booked through a 3rd party website so we didn't get the breakfast buffet but it was a spendy $28+ CHF. The restaurant looked terrific, but also expensive and fine dining-level. You get what you pay for here room-wise. We loved it.

I was so pleased with our experience at the Romantik Hotel Europe last week. We were greeted by extremely friendly and helpful check-in staff, the requested adjoining room for our children was exactly as promised, the rooms were nicely appointed with all the classic "European" treatments and finally, the bistro downstairs provided a delightful dinner for our family. We booked this hotel online, and in doing so, there's always an element of risk. This FAR surpassed our expectations!

Wonderful hotel with great location! Train station at walking distance so is trams, bars, Zurich lake, galleries, restaurants bars and clubs! We stayed two nights and enjoyed thoroughly! Wonderful welcoming staff, beautiful bedrooms and bathroom. The hotel services are very reasonably priced. We will definitely come back again thank you!

It was an excellent stay with special care throuout our stay. The room was very clean and beautiful. The 'goodnight' chocolates was very thoughfull. Breakfast was very tasty with many options. Most importantly the people who worked there were very polite and helpful. They all made us feel very warm and welcome! We look forward to visiting the hotel again!

We had the most amazing experience during our stay here! The staff was wonderful and more then accommodating, the breakfast offering in the morning was incredible, and the hotel itself was beautiful located right next to the Christmas market. We absolutely recommend staying here!

The staff at your hotel were exceptional. Very helpful. Also on the day of checkout we left at 6:10 am before your breakfast opens. The clerk at the front desk graciously offered us croissants and coffee before we left. So very kind…

Such a wonderful place. Room 10 was lovely with blue matching decor all very romantic. Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice breakfast. Lovely service with chocolates on our bed every night. Handy location. Safe as well. We will be back. Loved the welcome prosecco.

This was a charming little gem close to the lake. We were only there one night with an early return back to the states in the morning so we pretty much just had one day. It was a fantastic day around the lake and we also enjoyed a 4 hour boat ride that completely exceeded our expectations. The overall hotel was quite charming — not like a modern Marriott or chain. The only negative would be that our shower — a stand up stall type shower was pretty smalll but definitely functionable. Other than that, everything was "topnotch". Fantastic location and also very close to the airport! We would come back if we returned to Zurich for sure.

The Romatik is an amazing hotel, the staff are exemplary especially Maurice and Sebastian who were really helpful and accommodating with all requests. The rooms are good and well equipped and all requests are met. The only issue that I had was with the information provided on the proximity to Train Station, the hotel is quite close to a train station, however, all information states that is it about 10 — 15 minutes walk from the main station which means that one would take a cab rather than lugging all baggage, actually there is a connection from main station every 3 minutes to a close by station to the hotel which reduces the time to less than 5 minutes to the hotel thus saving on cab costs (which are quite high). Secondly the hot breakfast is a slight confusion — I had requested for some hot meal information and didn't get any feedback which was slightly disappointing and the person who serviced our room was a little in a rush as didn't even look at glasses that needed cleaning and just tidied the room and that was it … other than these two minor issues, the rest was amazing and I would most certainly return there for my next trip to Zurich…

Lots to commend about this hotel. Fantastic location. Lovely lobby and breakfast area. Large, comfortable rooms with BALCONY. Three suggestions for improvements: (1) The bulky keys for each room need to be replaced with a modern key-card system, (2) The doors are challenging to lock, which was annoying, and (3) Maybe consider some soy milk in the breakfast area.

Romantik Hotel Europe is a beautiful hotel, both inside and outside. The rooms are very sweet, comfortable bed, aircondition (! ) and all other facilities. The bathroom is very clean with a nice design. It is very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was very nice too. The connection from the entrance in to the bar/restaurant gives you a welcoming overall feeling. I will definitely recommend this hotel as well as my business associates that visited me at the hotel bar.

We had a really great experience at the Hotel Europe. I would definitely go back. The rooms were tastefully furnished to a classic traditional theme appropriate for Zurich. The Wi-Fi on the fourth floor was excellent and breakfast was more than adequate. The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful to us. The location of the hotel just on the lake is ideal and the main shopping street and old town are about 10/15 minutes walk away. We loved it!

My wife and I were indulged by Sebastian and his family for our two day stay. We had great breakfasts with wonderful fruit and croissants on arrival. Our room was quiet and tasteful and we regained energy after ten day tour of the Alps. Lovely location near the Lake and the Opera House. Staff was helpful, spoke English and even served me breakfast before my 6:00 am departure.

After traveling through Europe all week, with temps approaching 32C (near 90F) nearly everywhere, we were somewhat apprehensive about the lack of AC… but pleasantly surprised as hotel does have a central cooling system using frigid lake water, and was very comfortable. The ownership and staff went above and beyond in service and hospitality, bar and meal presentation was top-notch… with special efforts made to make our stay memorable. The superb location less than a half block from the lakefront offers world class dining and entertainment, but is enough removed to be relaxing. We arrived on Saturday end of June, and while the party scene went late and sounded fun, we were easily able to rest up for an early flight. They even had breakfast ready 45 minutes before advertised, so our family of 5 was delighted to enjoy the included meal. We highly recommend this family-owned boutique hotel, and hope to return someday soon. Next time we'll start our trip in Zurich!

The location is very good and handy for the lake as well as the town and stations. Restaurant food could do with being improved and also the menu extended as currently it is a very small/limited menu. Breakfast choice could also be improved and eggs should be included in the price. Also there should be a bit more flexibility in timing. A couple came in on the Monday morning at 10am or even a minute or so beforehand and were told they were too late! They went to the hotel across the road and got served. The drinks service and reception services were good.

Our first trip to the beautiful city of Zurich was enhanced by our stay at the Romantik Hotel. The staff went out of their way to ensure courteous, friendly and efficient service. Always greeting us with a friendly smile and a "no fuss" attitude. Our room was very comfortable and had a great ambiance. Well decorated and very clean. There is nothing more to say other than we will definitely be staying again when next we travel to Zurich.

This place is like no other. Gorgeous Victorian decor and customer service is out of the world.
Anytime we are in Zurich this hotel will be our home.

Good hotel in great location. Michlen restaurant downstairs is very good.

Extremely overpriced, TV did not work, staff does not understand English they only speak Swiss to mostly international clients. The breakfast room was insane hot and the rooms so&so. It might be a reasonable 2/3* hotel but for sure not a 4*.

This Hotel is a great place! Perfect services.
