The room was very clean. Bed comfortable. Programs on TV to suit most nationalities. Bars of soap in bathroom would have been nice as well as the liquid soap option. A tea/ coffee making facility in the room would have been better but sadly was not available. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good very central. Good shops and plenty of restaurants nearby Overall a pleasant stay would stay again.

Nice, albeit small, rooms. Friendly staff and good breakfast. The zone is quiet and nearby old town.

Great hotel and fantastic staff! They were all super nice and attentive. We really felt welcomed. The hotel is close to the tram and train stops so it’s easy to move around. You can walk everywhere, even to the FIFA museum which is a must for any soccer fan. Breakfast was plentiful and served in a cozy environment. You will love it here so stop by when in Zurich!

Small hotel in the heart of Zurich.

Because of the excellent staff at the front desk of this sweet little hotel we felt instantly at home after our long day of travel. Later at breakfast we felt more like we were being looked after by someone in their lovely home rather than in a hotel. The breakfast (included) was beautifully laid out, all fresh and with enough variety to appeal to everyone. Everything in the hotel and the room itself was spotless and comfortable. In addition the location was perfect for walking to everything in beautiful Zurich.

Very pleasant stay of just two nights in Zurich. Maggie and Mario were excellent, friendly, and very helpful to us during our stay. The breakfast was fresh and enjoyable and the free welcome drink was much appreciated. The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms were well maintained. While it was generally quiet, we did here some noise from the street and could hear the room above us. It wasn’t a significant problem but kept me from giving a score fo 10.

Beautiful and cozy boutique hotel in a great location. All staff were polite and courteous. The free hot breakfast has a large selection of freshly baked and locally sourced breads, rolls and pastries. I'd stay here again!

We could not have enjoyed our stay at Hotel Helmhaus more! Everyone we encountered was pleasant, helpful, and informative. The hotel was clean and welcoming beyond our expectations, and its location is perfect. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm, orderly and beautiful, from fresh flowers on the stairway windowsills, to the perfection of the breakfast buffet, to the serene environment of our room. From what I understand of Zurich hotel prices, I would say this one offers incredible value without shortchanging hospitality. The staff really go the extra mile to ensure a memorable stay, and we would return here without any hesitation. Thank you to everyone who made us feel so welcome.

BEWARE* My mother stayed 1 night on the 20th September, the hotel was perfectly adequate however unfortunately her expensive makeup *disappeared* from the room, when she queried this with the concierge she got no positive assistance or concern. Our advice is to be careful with your belongings in this hotel!

Good quality hotel, great location in Old Town, and also nice breakfast.

Complimentary glass of local white wine on check-in, very comfortable rooms (with samsung tablet in every room for TV guide, hotel information etc), decent buffet breakfast included. Not much actually in the rooms (robes, tea/coffee, ironing board etc) but just send a message to reception using the samsung tablet and they'll bring it to you.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in Zurich. Great staff. Large rooms. The breakfast selection is narrow but high quality. Sadly my firm limits me to 300 CHF per night so I can only stay here off peak.

The reception guy was very rude and attempted to charge for beer, although the room didnt provide any drinks. So bad experience. Never stay here.

Great location nice room good breakfast friendly efficient staff. Only problem is for anyone owning or renting a car and the parking is both a good walk away and very expensive 25-38 CHF each day to park overnight. If you don't have your own rental car its a fabulous hotel, really nice and helpful people with great beds /mattresses decent speed free internet etc.

The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make me feel at home and solve any problems that arose.

My husband I met in Zurich while traveling for work in EU. The Hotel Helmhaus was a pleasure to stay at. The front desk clerks were very informative and helpful, the bedroom was clean and well kept, and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and the location couldn't have been better. I would easily stay here again or recommend it to friends.

Excellent service from the attending clerk (unfortunately don't know his name — kind, patient, and VERY helpful). Room was comfortable and quiet. Early breakfast was arranged for us so we could eat before leaving for the airport. An historic and charming inn in perfect location with outstanding customer care.

From the beginning to the end of our stay, we were treated like royalty. We loved the room, the small size of the hotel, the delicious breakfast every morning, but we especially loved the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. Thank you all for making our stay in Zurich so wonderful.

We spent one night here on the way back from India & Nepal. The hotel is in a great location and has lovely and clean rooms, a wonderful breakfast buffet, and super helpful staff. We love the down comforters and pillows and the bathroom was ample with a nice shower. We had a room on the top floor which was a bit noisy when the window was opened but quiet otherwise. I would definitely stay here again when I came to Zurich.
