Very good hotel, great location, top notch service. The rooms are larger than normal, the bed is large and very comfortable, the bathroom is also very spacious and comfortable. It is a hotel with all the necessary amenities to have a pleasant stay. Regarding the breakfast, I totally recommend it, it is very varied and everything very tasty. All he needs is a pool.

Great for the price and I loved the club on the top floor and that it was only 10$ for open bar. Great value! And the location is a plus, with in walking distance of a lot of restraunts.

Dont stay here. This is no 4 star hotel! found our there is a club on the roof top which you Can hear in the top 5 (may be more) Floors. After asking the reception if we could change rooms they simple reply that this happens every weekend. They couldn’t do anything about it. Would def. Not recomend this place, hotel looks ok on foto’s but service is very far from a 4 star hotel.

Super Hotel in the center of Panama City.

Don't let the photos draw you in too much. I stayed here based on the photo's and it looked a little different. The sushi bar only has a choice of about 8 plates. There were several power outages. Not many people speak English only the front desk. Not such a huge buffet selection. Room cleaning is not that great. Food from room service is not too good either. Not too bad overall. Nice clean gym.

Comfortable and beautiful modern rooms. The room key must be used to light up the room. The bathroom is large and awesome, though the water pressure is far from great. Good spot in the middle of downtown. Close to shopping, nightlife and public transportation.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. The staff from the hotel really needs much more training. The chamber-maid broke the swing bar door guard trying to enter our door; with a lot of force. Reason why she tried to enter the room; unknown. And one day we had the “Do not disturb” tag outside and the maid knocked anyway. The rooms are clean but at some places there was a lot of dust. Some parts in the shower need to be replaced. One day we asked the receptionist to call us a taxi. They told us to use their private driver which asked double (! ) the amount than a taxi. We felt fooled and complained later. The manager of the reception tried to explain that taxis are dangerous in Panama and many bad things happened to tourists. We have been using taxis for three weeks in Panama and never had a single incident. If you follow some rules and don’t show you wealth you shouldn’t have any issues. However, he was talking and talking (with a very loud voice) and never gave us a chance to say anything. The only good thing was their smoking area (balcony on the 2nd floor). But there again we watched a cleaning lady doing her job and she wasn’t even able to clean the whole table. I think it is a common problem in Panama; that “I don’t care” attitude.

Good rooms and excellent buffet breakfast. There is the option of going to party to the roof-top.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the city the rooms have all the comfort that any tourist is looking excellent the decoration of all the atmosphere the abundant meals, delicious and with the touch typical of Panama the staff is very friendly and attentive to all the Needs.

We stayed four nights in this hotel, spacious and clean room, good staff service, amazing breakfast with different options every day.
The gym is not gifted and the bikes do not work, we reported it from the first day but they did not fix it.

Beautiful hotel, the coffee is not free, but the gym is very good, excellent attention, except by the service of taxis of the hotel that abuse and exaggerate with the cost of the tours and passages.

The place is nice. Parking is what q there is a lot of Boleteando guards. I suggest parking coastal tape and walking.

They have a crazy rule for visitors to your room. You have one free guest to register and that person can come and go, but any additional guest to the room cost $37.50 No matter who it is. That is insane! Beware before booking. The room is nice tho. My rating is based solely on that crazy rule.

The hotel is outdated. On the upper floors it is disturbing to sleep music from the panoramic club on the roof.

Great Hotel! I was afraid to visit the hotel back in September 2017 due to some of the reviews I read. This has been one of the best hotels I have visited. Near to manyplaces to eat, safe neighborhood, and shopping places all around. Will recommend!

Our first night out of 4 was miserable. The room isn't bad, but the staff is rude and non helpful at all. Disgusting really. They don't have a map, they don't apologize. They gave us a wrong taxi company number, and they are just useless. Not sure we will stay the other 3 days although we payed. Terrible.

Great location downtown, metro and shopping close by. Comfortable beds and clean rooms with a very good breakfuss. Friendly and helpful staff. This is always my choice when staying in Panama city.

Nice place! But not self parking always need their valet parking services take too long to get your car expect minimum 20 minutes.

It's a great place to stay: big windows and natural lighting, comfortable bed, good breakfast and the people are polite and friendly. Combine all this with its prices and location and its ideal.

An elegant and classy hotel with contemporary styling, great food and really pleasant and helpful staff. Located in a very safe feeling neighbourhood, and a short walk from lots of nice bars and restaurants. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, and would not hesitate to stay there again, although I would not recommend booking a room north of the ninth floor, as the disco at the very top of the building gets a little noisy at weekends.

Smaller, Modern, Clean, Comfortable. In room fridge. Room Service. Wifi. Good restaurant for all 3 meals. Great sushi restaurant also. Staff is friendly.

Staff is rude and most of the time not helpful, rooms are not maintained well and the smell bad and internet gets disconnected all the time.

Rooftop disco until 8 am … not the best if you want to sleep at night. Breakfast was pricey for what you get Staff was really nice and room very clean and comfy.

The hotel is located near the metro station, if you have the light sleep you must place yourself on the floors below, as the 12th or 13th floor you will hear a lot the disco, the breakfast is phenomenal, usually there is always gallo pinto (rice with beans). The room is comfortable, the bathroom is spacious. Family travel.

This was my first time traveling to Panama and I must say that the Occidental Hotel delivered an awesome first impression! It is very contemporary and modern. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We really didn't have to leave the building because it has two restaurants and a club on the roof top. I couldn't give it 5 stars because it did not have a pool. Being located a good distance from the beach, I think a pool would push this place over the top! It's close to everything! It is a Hotel that is frequented by young and young-at-heart people, so I wouldn't consider it a family friendly hotel. I didn't see a lot of kids running up and down the hallways, so that is definitely a plus in my book!
