A hidden gem in Oost. One of my favorite places in Amsterdam during terrace season. A beautiful spacious garden, good drinks and delicious snacks. What more could you ask for?
Food poisoned and ignored I have always loved this restaurant and recommended it to friends, but after my last experience I will never return. After eating oysters from this restaurant, I got violently sick — I couldn't eat or drink any water or sleep for 48 hours. When I called the restaurant to inform them that they had given me bad food, expecting at least a voucher to cover the cost of the dinner (I don't think I should pay for food that will make me violently ill) they seemed reluctant and told me to send an email to their office. Unfortunately, the email I sent has been ignored as I have not received a response over 8 days later — obviously they don't care whether or not they are poisoning their clients and don't have the business ethic to compensate after making such mistakes. I was extremely disheartened by the way they handled this, perhaps this restaurant has become too popular and now they are sacrificing quality and safety for productivity.
