Small room, but quite sufficient if you really want to just spend the night there. A lot of noise out there, and what bothered me was that the toilet seat from the bottom at the edge was dirty, so you saw that the toilet seat was already very long. The reception staff very friendly. Only to sleep there, I would come back anytime.

Unfortunately I can not recommend this hotel as I find it very strange that the shower in the room is without any privacy, except the frosted glass on the shower cubicle. Even if you are usually there with friends or partners, it would be appropriate to have a little more privacy when taking a shower. Unfortunately, it felt like it was in a cell. We didn't expect much luxury but that would be standard for me personally. You can borrow umbrellas for 20 euros, which you get when you hand over the umbrella again, but it would have been nice to get a little hint that if you go to the LANXESS Arena you are not allowed to take the umbrella with you and can't include anywhere. So give away 20 euros.

Affordable and comfortable rooms, not suitable for long stays because the rooms have no wardrobe nor hairdryer. You must keep your clothes inside the luggage.
The personal there is very nice.

For 1-2 nights really great. Clean, very friendly, competent. The next time we will stay here again.

Nice hotel, everything was good. Breakfast was nice. Staff was also nice. Something you would look for in a hotel when traveling for business.

The amenities in the hotel are equal to the price you pay. It should definitely be mentioned that the shower and sink are in the room. Only the toilet is in a small side room. But what is definitely no okay is that the duvets and the sheets are full of hair of the predecessors. The cleaning of the room is probably not taken so closely here.

Breakfast acceptable and rooms quite tidy. The air conditioner was appreciated!

I was super happy with my stay! Had a clean room, the location of the hotel was great and the staff was very friendly. So far I have been to some Ibis Budget hotels and found the Ibis in Cologne best.

Good place didn't like the disabled toilet, the rest ok.

No highlight but no lawsuits. Booked, driven and stayed overnight.
Rooms sufficiently large and clean. Sufficient breakfast and (chargeable) parking right in front of the house. All okay for an overnight stay.

Rather smaller rooms with bathroom and shower in the room with indoors. Rather simple breakfast but with everything you need. There is the possibility to buy snacks and ready pizzas at the hotel. The view is rather boring, but you are quick at the fair. Cabinets were not available in our room. Internet is there and running well. In the rooms you don't get any of the noise from the city. However, you can hear your room neighbors well when they run a little louder. For your price, however, it's a very good hotel!

The room is minimalist but cosy. The shower + sink is also in the room. The toilet next to it in a small room.
All of this is a real matter of taste, so I can only speak for myself and my companion. We are sufficient anyway and find the stay here very pleasant. It's also all clean and hygienic.
What is a great pity is the beds. These are relatively hard and the cushions are unfortunately too small and thin.
All in all, however, a beautiful and practically furnished hotel.
Unfortunately, for breakfast or food in general, I cannot say anything that we have not used this.
Like to come back!

The room was quite clean, but very small. The was no power plug in the bath area to use an electric shaver. The shower was a plastic cabin. The TV was to small. All in all, the price was about 1.5 the time I would expect it to be, especially since there is no bar and no wardrobe. I would not recommend.

Located with a 15 min walking distance from Koeln Messe railway station and 10 min from the Lanxess arena. Perfect place for an overnight stay while attending events or concerts in the Lanxess arena. Basic standard but clean and spacious rooms. Small shop with drinks and food in the lobby. Very fast and friendly check-in and check-in. Basic breakfast for a fee.

Clean rooms. Good for the price. No amenities in room… buffet breakfast was ok… but not great. Front desk reasonably friendly and all could speak some English. Which was very helpful.

The Ibis Hotwlkette is as diverse as life. Sometimes nice and bad. The IBIS budget at the fair in Cologne is such a middle thing. The rooms are open and adapted to the budget. Unfortunately, our rooms lacked cleanliness. From hair to mildew in the shower and rust stains as well as very bad smelling towels was all there. Breakfast is quite in and therefore sufficient. For 1-2 next sufficient. But more definitely not.

Perfectly sufficient for my circumstances. Shower is known in the room, for not so familiar travelers this could be an obstacle. Breakfast is good and for 7, €90 is perfectly fine. The car park directly in front of the hotel costs six euros per day and is sealed off by a barrier. Unfortunately the mirror lighting did not go in our room and the floor had already marked signs of use. But since we were only there for sleeping, that didn't bother us. The S — train station is within five minutes walking distance. For me a great hotel to celebrate in Cologne or to visit the city too.
ps. Towels and shower gel are in the room, but a hair dryer is not.

As every year if possible in Cologne on roses Monday and almost every year at the Ibis Budget hotel. Nice staff clean room and also the hotel very clean. I can only recommend it. Price is great. You can walk to the cathedral, about 15 — 20 minutes.

Price performance fits when you need an overnight stay in Cologne quickly. Parking in front of the hotel's own car park (Attention there are not as many seats) is charged every €24h 6€. One-off cancellation also ran without a problem.

Only breakfast distinguishes it from a Formula One.

Cleanliness was fine, at least at first glance, under the bed was very dusty. Breakfast was fine. The receptionists were friendly & very helpful.

In principle, the hotel is fine for the price, But: On arrival I got a room smelled of cigarettes, not neatly cleaned (old towels, lots of toilet paper in the toilet). When I complained, there was unfortunately not even an apology from the staff, the blame lay with my previous tenant who smoked in the room.
On December 13, 2017, there was a fire alarm at the hotel at 05:50, all guests pouring out of the hotel via the emergency exits. The Cologne Fire Brigade was also very fast on site with at least three vehicles, unfortunately there was no support from the staff. No one pointed the guests to collection places, even after the end of the fire brigade inplace, no employee came to tell the guests in front of the hotel that it was a false alarm. This experience prompts me to give this hotel only one star.

Very basic. Floor was dirty, we found half a cookie on the floor the day we arrived. No cleaning under the bed for at least one month. 10 minutes walk to S-Bahn Messe station.

Rooms are small but fine. It was frighteningly loud though: All night you hear every step, at 4am a well-awed party troupe apparently also came home, which was still celebrating half an hour away. This is all to be expected at such a budget hotel. However, it turned out that the ' real ' ibis right next door has been just as expensive. At least this weekend.

Rooms are too small overall so so. I m not happy because they are not give Sigel cup of coffee like complimentary drinks. They dont have hetter. Rooms are cold.

Good place, clean rooms, good food and helpful staff. Definitely a good choice for a budget hotel, and not far from the Dome too.

The service really varied from blunt to really nice and friendly. Depending on the person you had in front of you. The rooms were clean and neat (with shower and toilet).

Clean, comfortable, chairs are a bit close to each other in the breakfast area, car park is nearby the entrance.

Very low rent truck-stop like accomodation, minimal services and service. Ok for one night, but I'd search for something more hospital for anything longer.

It's a Ibis budget hotel. Little room with bath included. Good bed. Ok for 2-3 nights.

The rooms were very very dirty and had a disgusting smell. The bed had hairs all over (from previous guests I would believe) The walls had dead spiders and mosquitos. (looked like a dead insect collection) The room floor was dirty and looked like thay hadn't vacuumed or cleaned in minimum one month. The humidity in the room was pretty high due to the open shower (the shower is in the middle of the room, and not in a separated space) The staff was really unfriendly, specially the blonde old woman. Any hostel would be cleaner than this hotel. I wouldnt recommend it, not even for a 10 minutes stay.

Not a bad experience at all, we booked them as we were attending the Andre Rieu concert at the arena close by… front desk was very helpful in arranging early check in and for a small fee a late check out. They even advised us on getting around on the trams / trains and where to get a Welcome Koln card that allows unlimited UAE of public transport and discounts on entries into museums / attractions. For a budget hotel they are clean and have all the basics covered. Don't expect a mini bar or luxuries, but rooms are clean, water is hot and the staff are helpful… all round a good experience.

The customer service is horrible in I called them because I booked one night but the date that I chose was wrong, it was your mistake not mine. I wanted moved the date but they said that it is not possible.

Typical ibis budget room, neat n tidy. Location was good, 15 mins away from city center by tram.

Everything was very nice. Spartan furnishings but good. Friendly Staff.

The location of the hotel is good. One is to foot very fast in the show or in the ACC. S-Bahn Station. Who to foot is good on the go can also walk in approx. 30-45 min to the Central station. The price per Night is for the location good and the staff is friendly. For several Nights I would not recommend it but, since little storage space is available and the beds are not very comfortable. A bit strange is that the shower is in a separate room.

For the price a very good Hotel. Plain and simple. If you just want to stay. A 15-minute walk from the train station. 20 minutes from Lanxess Arena, what more could you want.

We are all year here for the Cologne Marathon. Clean rooms, good prices if you book in time and if you can't walk is lazy then you can also cozy up in the downtown run.

The room at first glance clean. But if you the shower next to the bed can handle, it will be seen that the shower Schimmelspray would do well. Similarly, it would be more convenient if on the toilet, on the wall no urine traces would be:/ The Hotel is EXTREMELY clairaudient! If young men in the room next door taking a shower, one has the feeling directly, also you can hear every step from all sides.

I traveled a lot and in all places makers of the hotel were kind and friendly, but especially if there were problems trying to help. i have stayed at this hotel for two nights two from 9 to 11 september for work and I 'was stolen purse in breakfast staff hotel has refused to call the police, even having a witness who has assisted, and have refused to see also the video surveillancei have provided only the address of the control of the nearest police, and having suffered theft was devoid of documents and mobile money, I had to find a girl who knew the german, call a taxi … losing time that I was necessary for work! view the situation believe that common sense is to help the person not leave the luck … very disappointed also why 'was not the first time stayng in this hotel … personal reception of qualified little girl above the morning theft september 10 … bad… had a smile ironic … I thin is to happy … I wish the same problem is the same treatment in a state where does she not know language and the same situation of discomfort … and running like a crazy to go even in embassy to have a document for the return.

What a shame… utter shame the receptionists are truly ignorant no one told us let alone gave us a special permit that we may park the car infront of the hotel itself. thus we got an 80euro fine… is this right? is this how tourists are treated in Germany? this is unacceptable… like so many other things including the fact that hardly anyone has a decent level of english… is it because Germany is self-sufficient and is thus not in need of tourists… shame on you.

A nice budget hotel. Room was really fresh and modern. Location was a bit outside of the center, however everything was still reachable by foot or public transportation.

Nice rooms and price! Well worth the money.
