Clean place but the direction of the business is of a superb crushing, conceited little educated and with very little tact to treat the client.
My particular case was as follows:
Due to my lactose intolerance I could not breakfast a single day in the hotel (it costs nothing to buy a liter of lactose-free milk and be able to give a better service) to finish, when liquidating the exit we wanted to charge when it was paid in the reserve, we had a dispute in which of course we were right, well, although it is clear that I had because we went without paying because it was already paid, did not have the decency to apologize even if they made me lose 20 minutes of my holiday days, in addition to the disgust.

I say why not!
The hotel is nicely decorated, this is radically sliced with the modernism a little cold, it is not unpleasant.
The rooms are quiet, it is a point to note.
Very good welcome to our arrival.
No 4th star as no air conditioning in the room and toilet strangely oriented:).
This is not decisive, I would recommend this hotel rather nice.
The breakfast was very good.

Very nice hotel, very helpful and attentive staff. It is a short distance from L Metro station and one can walk to the Eiffel tower.

My favorite hotel in Paris for over twenty years. Very clean, beautiful garden (if it is nice I have breakfast always in this well maintained character garden), very quiet street, a friendly owner with very nice staff. Lift available.

Charming hotel just minutes from the Eiffel Tower, and a few steps from the Metro.
The rooms are ' cosy ' and very cofortable bedding.
Small garden/terrace on the ground floor very cute.

Small rooms but clean and comfortable. Very warm inside. Office building vis-a-vis, so you can't open the curtains if you're not interested in spectators. Great location. Walk to the Eiffel tower within 20 minutes, Metro stations less than five minutes away. Good place for a short stay.

Lovely place, its clean, welcoming and only a 5 mins walk to the metro. Only downside is that there is no lift at the hotel but my boyfriend and I didn't mind. We had a wonderful time In Paris and would definitely recommend this hotel! It's a very cute place in great location for reasonable price. Eveything we needed was easily to walk to.

We really liked the hotel and the amazing breakfast. It is quite close to the metro and its really quiet by night, so we had a good sleep. The staff was helpful but the only thing is that they should learn to speak English not just a few words.

Therefore its really disappointed that the hotel booking system miss communication or system error or whatever. They move us to other hotel which less star and less feature than de lavre. My wife were crying as she already expected to stay at the lavre and turns out we have to stay at other less quality hotel. VERY NOT PROFESSIONAL booking system management. Shame on!

Clean, romantic, marvelous position, excellent value for money.

Quiet, relaxed, spacious and close to the heart of Paris. Best nights sleep I could have wished for while on holiday. Short walk from the Metro or the Eiffel Tower, nearby restaurants and bars, shops and services. Definitely a great place to stay!

This is a pleasant little hotel to stay in for a few nights while in Paris. It isn't spectacular but it's clean, friendly and very central. I liked it. Breakfasts in the outside courtyard are a lively way to start the day.

Good location, near shops, supermarkets, to Eiffel Tower 10 minutes walk. The rooms are small, two are cramped. Furniture and Entourage in vintage style. Purely.

Nice "vintage" styled hotel with clean and friendly rooms. There is no bar in the hotel, and they have the same brekafast every day (bagette, croissont). The crew is very friendly! We spent there 5 nights, loved it.

Very well located, 3 metro lines at 2 min walk to visit the whole Paris. Very nice garden where to have breakfast or to work there. Neat and tastefully decorated rooms. I would definitely recommend!

Establishment with a friendly as reported by others and a vintage of tasteful decoration. However, bedding is not comfortable, the workspace (office) is tiny. The rooms are also little light (very low light). There are very few free plugs: only 1 actually. Most embarrassing is still the lack of soundproofing, means of conversations of the rooms next door without having your neighbors need to yell. In total, a disappointment compared with the majority of the comments. Knowing the 15th district, we can do so much better…

Superb hotel a recommend for the impeccable service and the friendliness of the staff.

My mother and I had a terrific stay at Hôtel de l’Avre. The room was clean and comfortably sized. The staff was friendly and helpful. Hôtel de l’Avre was only two bus stops from the Tour Effiel and there was a great open market (just around the corner) on Sunday. I recommend staying at Hôtel de l’Avre while visiting Paris!

This is such a great little place in a perfect location. I have stayed here twice now and would happily stay there again on any future trips to Paris. Rooms characterful and well decorated, staff lovely!

Very quiet location, it is believed not to be in Paris. Metro around the corner and the Eiffel Tower 10 minutes. Great room overlooking the garden where you can also have breakfast (9 euros).

This is an exceptional hotel. The price is a bargin, but far more than that, the place is simply charming. The maids are excellent, and the desk staff strive to please their customers. My favorite rooms overlook the garden. There is a first-floor room suitable for aged parents, and as I recall, it may have its own entry into the garden. My husband and I spent two weeks in Paris searching and searching for exactly the right hotel to bring a small class of quiet students for a study break. We visited about 30 hotels, I kid you not. This hotel fit our every need. One particular thing we like is that it is not in a tourist area, yet it is very close to a metro stop. The Eiffel Tower is a short walk away, as are the fabulous restaurants of Avenue Suffern and Motte Piquet. This is a wonderful small hotel, the kind of hotel that belongs in novels. The kind of hotel that inspires you to write hand-written letters home.
