This is a fabulous hotel, hotel is awesome and the staff is fabulous. I feel like I am with family. The food is fabulous and if you are going to the US Embassy it is only a five minute walk. I love this place.

I have stayed at the Hotel Isla Verde off and on for the past 2 years, and they are the BEST place to stay if you need to go to the U. S. Embassy or to an event at the Parque La Sabana Stadium, or on saturdays for the Feria, or to be close to San Jose without getting overwhelmed by crowds. I love the remodeling they have done, I love their breakfast buffet with so many option including fresh fruit, great coffee; homemade jams; and always something special, like todays' chicken empanada casserole. They have great lunch specials; the best eggrolls filled with chicken instead of artificial red dye pork; excellent mo shu muk suey; and the least greasy chop suey seco in Costa Rica. By the way, the new mattresses are fantastic, I just wish they had a cotton option for the sheets. By the way, like most Costa Rican hotels, its the reverse hot water/cold water controls that make life exciting. Blue and C doesn't always mean cold; and Red and H doesn't mean hot. In spanish, C is for caliente, and H is for hielo… Also they have a computer station which many places don't have plus FREE secure parking. Enjoy your visit!

Very nice accomodations and friendly service. Would definitely recommend for any embassy related visits. Breakfast was delicious as well.

The hotel service was good, the location is close to US embassy and multiple restaurants and binesses around. The size of the rooms were good. The hotel is going through updates. The construction have not been of impact to me. Food is Asian, and some of the options are amazing. No five stars because the breakfast options are the same everyday and there is not that much to choose from.

Very rich food, good service, attention and the toilets well-groomed to enter have to pee and crap to taste.

Very clean hotel. Staff is extremely friendly. Leonardo in front desk is super helpful and kind. My room looks modern and with good taste. Too bad there is no pool or hot tub.

This is a place with comfortable, clean rooms and above all very easy access, the breakfast is good and the staff attentive.

I stayed 2 nights. One upon arriving in San Jose, and my last night. The staff are accommodating and friendly. The hotel is meticulously clean and modern. There's plenty of lounging space in the atrium with outlets for charging. My rooms were very clean and comfortable. The showers were a huge bonus. I'm a sucker for great water pressure and plenty of hot water. During my two stays my rooms had both. Great hotel at a very reasonable price.

On our part we only have thanks to all the hotel staff for the amazing event they held us, the immediate solution of out-of-reach inconveniences (such as the blackout) did not overshadow at all have beautiful celebration, the food the place absolutely everything was divine.
Lucia is extraordinary at all times with us until the end, solving everything with excellent taste, from the room to prepare everything was special, with that smile and that charisma that characterizes it we definitely chose the best place to get married, I would recommend their services with closed eyes.

Very pleasant stay in a comfortable hotel near the American embassy. Accommodating staff. Nice Chinese restaurant on site. Breakfast included in rate.

The facilities are of first level, the attention is excellent, the price is very economical, this hotel has an ecological system of solar panels, nothing to ask the Sheraton, Marriot etc.

I am in Costa Rica for dental work. The hotel is lovely. The staff are fabulous. They go out of their way to make me comfortable and taken care of.

Small room and bed. We could have upgraded, but didn't. Great staff and service. If you need a no frills place to stay, you can't beat it.
