Great spot! friendly service!

The prices for everything from your room (under equipped for $$$$), the restaurants and activities are insanely overpriced. Not to mention… no refunds are offered for any activity under any circumstance. The ski hills are decent and great for beginner or intermediate skiers. However, we bought lessons for our kids which cost $175/hr which is way above other resorts in Ontario. A fun time, but buyer beware — perhaps consider other resorts first!

Rooms are run down, small, and not well equipped. And for a hefty, completely unreasonable price. We were extremely disappointed.

Good friendly attitudes on the staff.

Poor customer service. We stayed at Copeland House for a weekend and left 3 snowpants in the dryer. We called on the same day when we checked out and asked if we could go back and pick up. The reception said that housekeeping already left and just to complete the form online and wait for housekeeping to get back to us. It has been 2 weeks and we have not heard anything. When I called today, Anessa from front desk said the person who updates the list has been away for a week and nobody is covering. She advised to call back on Monday to check if there's someone there to check for the missing snow pants. The kids use these snow pants to school and informed them about it. Front desk has poor customer service and are not helpful at all. They keep saying to call back but nothing is being done. I will continue to follow up every week until we get the items back or send a formal complaint. This is complete unacceptable.

Horrible customer service snow board got stolen and Manger wanted 2 do nothing about it even tho his ski patrol had it! don't ever go to this Establishment Greg the Manger should be fired.

You fired your staff who’s not vaccinated and your discriminating against those who make their own medical choices.

USED to have a FANTASTIC golf course, but times have changed and property is worth more; so what was once a beautiful 18 holes is now only 12… fortunately these 12 are still nicely maintained and the staff were very courteous. The pro shop/check in also received a downgrade, it was located front and center at the resort with lots of amenities, but now is located near the rear, sadly lacking much and also serves as the ticket counter for mini golf! 🤣
How far golf has fallen from horseshoe's priorities.

Parking lot on the other hand is awful! Way too narrow, took me 15min to shimmy my way out of my spot with my truck because there is NOT enough room for 2 rows of cars per aisle. This needs to be fixed.

We booked private lessons for 2 group of kids. All same age and same skill levels. Treated totally differently by 2 groups of instructors. First group of 3 girls were taken to the lift without adults and second group of 2 boys weren't allowed as there was only one adult with them. Eventhough they were larger size kids.
Our instructors started the lesson 10 minutes late as one of them had to be replaced last minute (2:10 instead of 2) and at 3, they left my 2 kids on top the hill and skied back to the main base themselves. When I confronted the instructors, they denied and when I went to the desk, after keeping me 20 minutes (explaining to few different people) they said they could not do anything as I had no proof of what had happened. I suppose they were expecting me to record a video of the start time and leaving my boys alone.
Double standards, irrisponsible, rude and not a safe place.

The worst resort I've ever been to. No instructions on how to book time at the pool. Called multiple times before checking in only to be told when we checked in on time, that there was no pool times until the day after we left. I get its Covid time, but instructions on the website on how to book a time isn't rocket science.
Upon check in, I confirmed my total with the front desk who confirmed it was $428 for the two nights. They didnt enforce masks rules or social distancing at the desk.
Our room was dirty and smelled like feet. The wooden blinds had so much dust on them, you could see the previous guests finger prints. Good sanitizing protocols, I see. Luckily I brought disinfectant and wipes down all surfaces, included the head boards which had some questionable stains on them. The bathroom sink had coffee stains in it.
You'd think for $200+ a night they could provide decent coffee in the room but no. The coffee tasted like they swept it off the floor. Only one tea bag and only coffee mate. There was a fridge and again, you'd think for over $200 a night they could provide you with some milk or creamers.
The lake is a pond. Stop calling it a lake. Its green and most of the lake is over taken by the kayaks. My 7 years old could stand comfortably in the deepest part. Theres also no instruction on how to book a tube ride. We ended up having to walk all the way back to guest services to buy a ticket and then ended up waiting over two hours for her turn.

The resort itself was nice and I'm sure I would be able to give a different review if we weren't in the midst of a pandemic… BUT unfortunately we are in a pandemic and this resort was not following most of the COVID precautions they promised on their website. Many staff were not wearing masks indoors. The place was PACKED and physical distancing was not being maintained. There was no way that things would be able to be adequately sanitized between families with the crowds that were there (I was there on a Tuesday — not a weekend). Not a responsible place to visit right now unfortunately. Safer to rent a room at a more responsible hotel chain and plan your own activities as a family.

Our experience was not good from the time of booking. An extra charge of 18 dollars for a 2 year old, in a room with 2 queen beds, that can sleep 4. If our plans previously, had not been screwed up, we would not have gone. Spent first day at beach area at lake, which is great for kids. The but here is, overcrowding (200) ppl in a small area. Social distancing is not happening! Chairs are not being sanitized after use, nor are the paddle boards, kayaks, and life jackets! Sure in the morning, when not too busy, theses things were being done, but the busier it got, it did not. No shade whatsoever, and we were told no umbrellas allowed. Now perhaps we misunderstood, but lots had brought their own, and had set up camp. Check in happened right at 4. Went to room, and door was wide open with a hanger stuck in frame to hold it open. So really how long was it left open! And who might have went in it?
We had pool reservations, so went down, and asked why this was with the door. They said they would look into it, and come inform us at the pool.
No one came to explain, so after swim, went back to front desk. The “manager” there says, oh everything was fine, often the cleaners will leave the safety lock over, to keep door open, and then forgot to return.
I’m like, ummm there was a hanger holding the door wide open, so obviously he was not given the correct info. (And we had a picture). He then just mumbled some things I didn’t even understand.

Staff at the golf course were absolutely horrible and rude to paying customers. Very ignorant and embarassing. Thought they would be welcoming to people coming to spend money at their course after being shut down so long.

After 2 months of taking my money and their cancelling my vacation due to COVID, they have not refunded my monies. Extremely unethical and bad business practice.

I'm really disappointed with the lack of communication and refund delay due to COVID-19. Its understandable that phone calls would go unanswered due to lack of staff but with a nation working from home I believe that refunds can be processed and emails can be answered. Very poor customer service!

We stayed here for two nights a few weeks ago. Loved the skiing, and had a great time. What stood out most though, was the exceptional customer service, and friendliness of your front desk staff member, Jade Columbus. She was working most of our entire stay, was very helpful, and I felt I needed to shout her out. Thanks for your kindness. We will be back for another 2 night stay in 2 weeks! Highly recommend this resort.

Stayed there over the weekend and although the weather wasnt ideal we all had a great time. Stayed in the copeland condos and WOW gorgeous and was so nice for my mini family reunion — spacious and clean.
my only suggestion no ice machine in the building or even ice cube trays in the freezer … yet the room had an ice bucket… odd but we overcame.
night time snow tubing was a blast after the storm passed and all staff we met were friendly.

Rooms are super outdated but I mean you can looked passed that if they were clean. Everything has stains on it, made my kids wear their shoes in the room. It's a pretty yucky vibe honestly. Took us 45 min to get a coffee from the restaurant and had to talk them into bringing us a bowl of icecream for the kids. The wait for coffee wasn't because they were making a pot either, it was old.
Meh, the idea was nice. But its too dirty to go back. Every room is stained the same. It's almost like its party proofed or something. You can make a mess, make spills, you'd never know in the end! Won't be going back.

Woman at front desk was extremely rude to us. Would not recommend any interaction with horshoe employees at the resorts as they seem to have a poor attitude when helping customers. First interaction with horshoe customer service was the bbq at our unit was not working. So I asked for maintenance to come check it out. After 3 calls to front desk and waiting almost 2 hours I gave up and could not cook the 70 dollars worth of steak I bought to cook on the bbq that was in fact supposed to be working. Next night accidentally got locked out of our room with our belongings and dog inside. Woman at front desk said she wouldnt let us back in to our unit and said to call the property manager of the rental unit. I told her how our dog was locked in the room and she said that she doesnt care! so after politely talking to this woman and having her disrespect me for no reason I waited 3 hours in the hallway until 1 am when the property manager arrived to unlock my door and say sorry that she did not seem to want to help. The woman from the front desk even had the nerve to come tell me while I was waiting in the hallway that someone complained about the dog barking and that I need to keep the noise down! I asked her once more to open the door so I could get my dog and go home as I was worried about my animal and she responded by saying I'm going back to do my job! extremely disappointed in the customer service I received on my stay.

This was the best decision we ever made with our wedding! And it was so easy to decide this when we went for a first walk through while looking at venues. Everything was in one spot. Ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, so it was easy for our guests. They also had the option to stay the night at the resort. We got married at the top of the ski hill, meaning bridal party and all of the guests got to ride the ski lift up to the gorgeous ceremony site, overlooking the valley and all it's marvelous Autumn colours. Not only was this a unique experiences for guests, our pictures turned out incredible! We did a champagne toast after the ceremony at the top of the hill for all of our guests, while they waited to take the ski lift back down the hill. The food, was unbelievable! No guest could say they went hungry at our wedding. The Hors d'oeuvres were hot, and just kept coming. There were so many varieties of passed Hors d'oeuvres our guests were amazed. They even had a special party platter waiting for my groom and I so we could have our own taste of everything once we joined cocktail hour. Then the buffet was overwhelming. With so many choices, everything was delicious! The dessert buffet was also an added bonus that our guests keep raving about! Dawn, the wedding coordinator at the resort, was INCREDIBLE!

My husband operates a site here and Gabby Parker is a cleaner. Have visited with him great location for families with kids lots to do.

My son has a season pass to the downhill mountain biking and they got kicked off the lift today because of a wedding. No where was this posted, we were here yesterday and no one told us. Very disappointed that they had to walk up the hill although they pay for the lift.

The packages are amazing. Way to many summer activities to choose a favorite. Very attentive and nice staff. Especially the front desk staff, Really go the extra mile to make it a great stay :)

Great service and very friendly staff! My family and I had a wonderful time, specially because it is a pet friendly resort so we were allowed to bring our dog. And the golf course is beautiful!

Excellent spa. Lovely pool. Friendly and helpful staff.

Specifically the Steakhouse, it was amazing. Our server, Crystal was so amazing. The boyfriend and I were just celebrating eachother and the server really went out of her way to make it special. I would return just for the steakhouse, and Crystal!

Great atmosphere and a great snow cross event. Loved the older sled competitions and the led races. Nice change.

I was able to enjoy the green season facilities with friends for a wedding rehearsal dinner tonight. Myself and a friend's daughter were romping around the amazing inflatable slide when one of my shoes embarrassingly fell apart. Not only was the attendant at the station super helpful… but Brandon at the bike shop was incredibly patient and assisted us with a remedial fix to my footwear. I was mortified but with the help of the staff and gracious customer service I was able to enjoy the rest of the night without further disruptions. As a previous manager of F&B, I would also like to note the courteous and warm reception of your staff during dinner. Thank you to your entire team.

Well what can I say other than wow! My husband and I got married on August 25, 2018. And it was an experience I want to repeat for the rest of my life! The horseshoe banquets staff especially John and Maureen were the absolute best. And thank you to Krista for all her hard work! Everything was perfect! Even though it rained I could not have had better day. The food was amazing, the staff were amazing, the accommodations were amazing! My family is now planning on going there for a family trip pretty much yearly and my husband and I plan to go back every anniversary. Thank you again Horseshoe for making our day the most special it could have been!

Stayed in the condos for a week, it was very clean! Everyone (the staff) was nice and friendly. The new "lake" has a fund for the kids water slide/ trampoline. The condo fully furnished kitchen with all amenities. Even the food at the "crazy horse" restaurant was really good. The showers need a shelf for soap and the frying pans in the kitchen need handles that don't heat up. Not a long list of complaints at all. We would definitely go back again.

I went Treetop Trekking with some friends who were visiting from Mexico. We booked online and were greeted by the friendly staff at 9:00am. It was a fantastic experience and took plenty of photos. There were three obstacle courses that we tackled ranging in difficulty. One staff member even spoke Spanish which made for an even more memorable experience for my friends visiting from Mexico. I would definitely recommend it if you are comfortable with heights.

We got Married at Horseshoe Valley on July 7th! It was everything and more than we ever thought it could be. Krista was amazing at helping us plan and run around with us all day! I cant say enough about her help! Move on to the reception in the Tent and Mike took over. Wow! He went above and beyond. So many complaints from our family and guests about how attentive he was to everyone there!
We were hesitant to book here for whatever reason and now we are completely in love with the resort. Our kids are bugging us to go back already!

The place was comfortable and the rooms were decent sized with plenty of room to move about. The room had a view of the building across. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and equipped with a fridge and coffee machine. There's an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. The pools were on the small size and little crowded. There is also an indoor hot tub. There is a small lake on the premises which offer plenty of fun and entertainment including kayaking and inflatables. There microwave and ice machine is on the second floor. There is 2 restaurants on the premises, a pub diner and a steakhouse. Food was decent but extremely pricey. Definitely worth another visit considering the summer activities. This is a good place to bring your children.

I've been mountain biking for a while and I've been to downhill parks. This place is a liability waiting to strike — the signage is awful and the difficulty ratings are completely absurd. Green trailhead marker with 3 foot drops and steep berms? Sure, it's fine for me, but I was absolutely confused as to who thought this stuff up. The trail markers aren't even next to the trails themselves. Trail names? Who needs them? Just put a number and colour, certainly won't be a proble…m for colour blind people, right? Trail didn't even have a proper sign, it was just red spray paint on plywood like out of some horror show. The staff were uneducated on the trails, how to get to them, which ones to recommend, or any kind of progression recommendation for working your way up the trails. Precisely the opposite of what a safe and well-run bike park should be. I found myself multiple times trying to get down a supposedly Intermediate run but can't help but think it was a double black diamond I actually made it to, due to the massive banked wooden jumps and other crap I honestly am uninterested in. I don't think I'll ever return here again, even if they do build out 7 more short and unfulfilling trails.

Hotel was nice and clean, our room was pretty good. The Steakhouse was phenomenal! Food was perfect and the service was excellent. The Spa wasn't what we were expecting. The sitting area was TINY, I went for a bachelorette party and the three of us had to sit out in the hall. The website said you get robes to change into and lounge this was not the case. It took away from the entire feel we were going for. The ladies doing our services were WONDERFUL! We loved our massages and pedicures.

Had a fabulous team building day at the resort in the summer that had us going up ski lifts, jumping over benches, and looking at beautiful views over the Midland area. The staff were fun and the day was meticulously planned. The food was also superb — especially the flavourful vegan dish!

Great place. Great service. Only issue was they held on to my deposit for more than a week. All it took was a phone call and it was released almost immediately.

We had a regional meeting here and had a great time. Beautiful views and good restaurants. The meeting room was a bit chilly but still a good spaces for what we needed. Used a secondary space for a buying show which had ample room and was well located. Overall a great experience.

I like it a lot because it is a short drive for us and so close to Barrie… we use it mainly for biking and it always feels like a little vacation (good vibes, chill, music, hills, I like the crazy horse vibe even though the service sometimes is so slow…) … at the resort you find easy parking and never too crowded … last year they did the lake and it was a lot of construction which was a bit of a pain for riding in the lower sections… but hopefully this is all done now… here a few things: For biking we really preferred the old lift (close to the lake) as it brought you to the best trails right away without pedaling up that awful hill … the new lift is nice however they had trouble with the bike mounts/racks last year but Management mentioned that they use new bike racks/mounts for the lift this season (so will see) … as mentioned the location of the new lift is not so good for the biking part (however better than no lift lol) … and trail 1 right at the lift has a nice flow.

We rented two rooms for a friend's bachelor party. We intended to have the units for a place to stay overnight and to just hangout after a busy day and to allow us to be close to treetop trekking the next day. My wife and I have stayed at Horseshoe resort on multiple occasions and have loved our stay. This time, the rooms were great and the staff was mostly accommodating and professional. However, after we had gone out for dinner we hoped to spend a few hours relaxing in the hot tub and sauna and enjoy the pool. However we were greeted at the change room doors by a notice that they had rented the entire pool room out for a "private booking". It would have been really nice for them to at least give us some notice that the pool area would be rented out for the time that we were actually going to be there. No apology or attempt to redeem the fact that an advertised portion of the resort was unavailable to the people who have payed good money for access to the amenities. This left a pretty poor taste in our mouth after an overall good experience.

Nice resort and a great learning hill. No ski lockers or valet though so you are carry all your gear to and from the hill. Also, once at the main lodge, there is nowhere to store your non-skiing gear except for an unsupervised room with some tables and chairs. Most people just seem to leave their bags on tables in the upstairs cafeteria. Tubing hill was great. The Inn was very nice and comfy.

This resort sports fairly new accommodations with new deco, new paintings, warmth, and furniture. Yet little things were not handled well over my family's stay there this week. (1) dirty coffee pot and unavailable water kettle (2) furniture surfaces peeling off (3) loud ventilation fan (4) robot-like and mistake-prone rental/lift desk services (5) culturally insensitive communication and attitude of service staff (6) icy walk paths (7) very worn-out snowboards (8) lots of dogs, which we found out upon our arrival and (9) overcharged for my child's snowboarding equipment and (10) understaffed rental shop on a Saturday morning until someone behind me complained to the management (waited more than 45 min to get a snowboard). Yet the part of the resort which we loved the most is where there is less involvement of service staffs: namely ski hill lifts. This kind of services is not worth $200 a night accommodation + rental/lift. My family was thoroughly disappointed in the stay.

We came here for a school field trip and I was impressed with the organization they had. I wasn't confused about how the place was layed out, and when I asked staff for directions they were very clear and accurate. The prices were alright, but this is where they lost 1 star. I'll say to bring a group of people as this can make sure you get special deal. But overall they have a ton of selection of different slopes and lines. The food court had decent prices and have new buildings as hotels in the making. I would recommend this place to have a good time.

I don't like myself, there was no snow, the amount offered was not the reality.

Tubing is a very fun experience to do with family and friends, is not something a lot of adrenaline, but however you share great times with who to go with. It is perfect for children.

This was one of the quietest, nature wrapped and activity surrounded places nearby. I will definitely have to return and do a few things I missed out on! We went tree top trekking while there. Trained in the gym and swam at the pool. Walked around the beautiful peaceful escarpment. All worries in the world had vanished. Witnessed beautiful sunrises with a cup of coffee on the balcony and had dinner out there alongside warm colored sunset. A must do again.

I loved the massage it was amazing the people at the front desk were great! … but the room wasn't really clean to well for what the price was. There was sticky. Cup circles on the coffee tables and hand/finger prints and a foot print on the big bay window and the vent in the bath room was disgusting full of thick dust and water marks all over the bath room floor and sink counter … and the tub had stuff come out of the jets!

I went there to snowboard (day trip). Location is pretty close to highway 400; very convenient. There are plenty of ski racks; easy to find a slot. Lifts are challenging to get on and off as they are pretty close to the ground and fast. Staff are friendly and helpful, they slow down the lifts by hand for everyone. The trails are so much fun to ride on, they are sometimes narrower, has more turns and each trail is unique.

So we don’t ski — BUT — we came for the tubing with friends. We had the best time, kids and adults alike! We bought the unlimited passes and we went down at least 20 times, so it was totally worth it. The kids at the top who get you started we’re the best! Hour after hour they asked “Spin or straight” and accepted race requests! Veronica and Mason were excellent, as were all the rest of them! Food was good, room was modern, clean, etc. Bed was super soft. Overall we had a great experience!

I came here for tubing with 2 others on a Thursday and the place was great. The only down side was there were so many school kids! We are adults (yes, who wanted to go tubing), so all the little kids around made it a bit unappealing. We got the 4pm-9pm tubing passes which were cheaper, so after the kids cleared out the place wasn't busy at all. I was hoping there would be more than one tubing hill but there is only one. Barely any wait time after 4pm, we had a great time. The restaurant had great food, half off appetizers after 3pm. Servers weren't the most pleasant, but we did get everything we ordered in a timely manner. I would definitely come here again to try skiing.

Attended the New Years Eve buffet and dance with my family and friends. We all had a wonderful time. The food was fabulous and the staff were so welcoming and really went above and beyond to ensure that all guests had a great NYE. The torchlight ski and fireworks were also amazing! We all felt that Horseshoe delivered the best NYE experience we've ever had. We hope the event is offered next year so we can book it to enjoy again.

Good location, very process to ski slopes.

I booked a series of five private lessons last season (16/17) before the season started. I requested to have the same instructor for all my lessons. I do understand the difficulty of scheduling. When I booked early, I do not think it is a problem getting the same one instructor for all my lessons. I stated that I would extend to eight lessons if I was satisfied. Turned out I had five different instructors for all my five lessons! Don’t get me wrong; the instructors were great. I suppose it was management problem. There was no consistency in my lessons; time was wasted for the instructor to evaluate me at the beginning of every lesson. My first lesson started late. It appeared that they had “forgotten” to assign an instructor for me! It also appeared that they do not schedule a short break between lessons. One of my instructors came to meet me from finishing the previous lesson, then had to go to the washroom having me to wait during my lesson time! I would not have booked for the lessons if I had known that Horseshoe was not willing to even put any efforts to assign one instructor for all my lessons. It was a total waste of time and money! Interesting enough, I did see those instructors I had on the hill during my other lessons. Therefore, obviously, I could have had the same instructors if the people scheduling were willing to put some efforts! As such, I do not recommend taking a series of private lessons at Horseshoe.

Went cross country skiing here for one day. Had different expectations. A couple of individuals working the front counter were mildly inefficient. We found the trail to be plain. Would've been a better experience if the trails were groomed but this time it was right after a snowfall so I guess they haven't gotten around to it. Adding the cost of rental, and trail pass I don't think we'll be going again for some time.

Went Snow Tubing with my daughter whom meets the height requirements and was capable to go alone but due to size struggled over the track dividers. Basically suggesting keeping the first lane for kids where they only have 1 divider to cross and a worker close to help. Aside from that we had fun just thinking of child safety and simplicity!

The resort is very nice. Although it’s not the tallest hill in the region it has a lot to offer, it’s never overcrowded and has plenary of terrain to satisfy everyone. It has great beginner runs as well as some challenging runs for a more advanced skier. High speed chair lift makes an excellent place to visit, it takes quick up to the summit and an exciting way down.

The view is great — and you get to see it 24/7! with all the noise from the snow making equipment and lights, it's like you're on a film set! No wait — the film crew that was here were really quiet and respectful of others! Constant, incessant noise from the snow making machines, rattles off the windows, especially if you're facing the hill. Nicely back to sleep, and the snow plowing starts at 4:30 am. Complete with back-up beeps. If I wasn't so sleep-deprived after my weekend away, I might have a great Monday! I had to give one star, or it wouldn't post my review! NO STARS FOR YOU!

What a beautiful resort. We stayed in the deluxe room with 2 queen bed and a fireplace seating area lots of space and clean. Customer service is very professional and hospitable. I am only giving it 3 stars because the breakfast buffet was pricey at $15 for prefrozen bacon, some scrambled eggs and fruit from a can. Also the pool needs to be cleaned with a good scrub. It was gross with dirt lining the walls.

Brought our 50+ person company to Horseshoe Resort for a 2 day retreat and we all had an amazing time. Rooms were well appointed, and the conference facility was pretty up to date with a Wi-Fi video projection system. Dining options were better than expected. Organizing additional team building activities was really easy and organization/execution of the was FANTASTIC. Everyone in the company had a great time and had come back energized and pumped for the new year.

Just stayed at Horseshoe Resort for a bachelorette party and really enjoyed our stay. We had 2 rooms in The Inn which were both clean and comfortable. Additionally we booked a suite in the Copeland House building — it nice and clean and beautifully decorated both in common areas and within the suite. We had requested additional dishes in the room in avance of our stay as everyone would be having dinner in one room together and the dishes were there upon arrival. The only complaint is the smell of the garbage room which was located directly beside the elevator on our floor — the smell lingered halfway down the hallway. We had breakfast at the steakhouse the following morning — there was a nice variety of food and the staff were great. Would definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at Horseshoe Resort. Our room was spectacular! We had a loft which include a living space and den downstairs with a winding staircase to the upstairs bedroom. The bedroom had a massive king size bed and a jacuzzi tub and stand up shower in the open concept bathroom. It was a nice bonus to be looking out onto a well maintained golf course and the surrounding natural beauty of the valley. In the morning we went to the Inn Steakhouse, located conveniently in the lobby, and had a excellent all you can eat breakfast. The price was very reasonable. We didn't make use of the many other features, that looked great, including the indoor (and outdoor) pool, gym, arcade and spa. That was just in the hotel. The obvious attraction of the resort is the skiing. However there were a good number of other things to do outside. Segway tours, Treetop treking, golf and mini golf, swimming pond and beach. Overall this was an incredible 4 season holiday destination that we would definitely recommend.

Went for a bit of downhill mountain biking. Not a bad place, certainly. No lineups for the lift was definitely a nice touch considering what Blue Mountain can be like on a Saturday. Prices at the snack bar were a bit high, but to be expected. Probably wouldn't drive the 3 hours to do it again specifically, but if I were in the area, I would return. Lift ticket prices were also very reasonable at only $25.

The crazyhorse pub and restaurant is nice. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a cold beer while looking up the ski hill and watching children play on the bouncy castle and trampolines. Great place for family visits.

We went to the tree top trekking at Horseshoe Valley resort. The resort looks like a fabulous place to stay. There were 2 bridal parties attending the tree top adventure courses, what a great activity for such an important event in a young couples journey. Loved the challenge and had so much fun. Ww will do this again someday.

Such a dissapointing trip. I have been here many times over the past decade and I'm sure this will be my last. To start the the whole resort is under construction. If you want to look at 1/2 torn apart buildings and heavy construction vehicles dotted across an unfinished landscapes this is the place for you.
Which I get… they need to renovate. But charging full price for everything in the middle of a reno isn't fair.
And they do charge for everything. Nothing is included. They even charge a $30 amenity fee for Wi-Fi and the pool… and the Wi-Fi didn't even work. Even after I spent an hour of my vacation in the phone with their technician to try and get it up and running.
The "adventure park" is now just a 30ft inflateable… a climbing wall and a trampoline. Not enough to keep kids entertained for a full day.
Some evenings it was difficult to get food because both restaurants were at capacity for eating in and taking out. Their best option was for me to drive to the next town and get a pizza.
These are just the big things… there was so many more other things.
I don't know who they are targeting this resort to now… for kids its sub par. For adults it's sub par…
Overall I guess that would be the best description… SUB PAR.
For what it costs you can have so many better experiences elsewhere.

We ski here every winter as it is only a 40 minute drive. Love the food and have stayed over a few times. We got married at the resort and it was a one stop shop for the ceremony, reception and place to stay. Highly recommend the resort!

The activity and location: 5star Lots of fun here all the time too much stuff to do. Food is 3-4stars depending where you go but it's Usually pretty good tho Also rooms are 3-4 star. A good selection they're now as they have new condo like rooms built in 2016-2017 Also go to they're website they usually have lots of deals to make things cheaper.

Went night time skiing from 330 to 10pm. Cost was 70$ taxes in for ski rental along with lift ticket. Overall the the experience was awesome given that it was my second time skiing. They could work on providing some better food options including halal meat.

Good Value overall, but not much in the "wow" category that would definitely draw me back. We stay 2 nights and skiied 2 days, we had a good experience. The condo was dated, but the location and price were good. Food at the main restaurant and cafeteria were good but nothing special. The skiing is also good value, but can be a small hill if 1 or 2 lifts are closed.

Very rude and not properly trained personnel working on Magic carpet as they can not show us rules and regulation for magic carpet. They are not properly trained: young boys apr. 15-16 yo and girl 15-16 yo. They refused to provide us with their names and even faces (anonymous) — they advise us that their names are private! and advise my husband 65 yo who paid for lift ticket that they stop chair lift whenever they want and also when they do not have enough people as the resort does not have profit! Also they advise us that they are volunteers and ask my husband to leave the ski resort and not refunding the fee we paid. These young boys and girl do not know the rules of using the lift and magic carpet and advise us that who ever sold us ticket and advise that chair lift is working are just cashiers. It was dark and late around 8.30 pm so we decided to leave the resort where we have been exposed to 2 aggressive younger boys, 1 younger girl and 1 men apr 30 yo and over 350 pounds who keeps silence. We did not feel safe at all at this resort. In case you have children please be aware of the problem and stay away form this resort. We were not allowed even to use our cell phones on the slope by this group of 4 persons claiming that they work for Horseshoe resort. We never experienced such a horrible service at any resorts in Ontario or Mt Tremblant where we ski every season.

Did not participate in the skiing or snowboarding, but all the other outdoor festivities were nice and fun. The rooms were nice and cozy, and pretty clean. Overall a pretty good visit.

Beautiful location and located close enough to amenities if you needed them. Stayed at carriage ridge. Rooms were dated, but cleanish. Pool was over chlorinated and could use more maintenance. Ate at crazy horse saloon. Server was nice, Pricing was average and the food was disappointing.

Me and my family LOVED IT! I went there 2 years ago and there was a pretty big hill of snow! I got three sleds and went down the hill straight into the parking lot again and again! So fun! My mother tried skiing on 1 of the big hills and she couldn't stop! It was hilarious! When she got to the bottom of the hill, she kept going because she was going to fast and she went speeding into the parking lot! Best place ever! Food was delicious too!

Exceptional service! The resort staff the lift guye/gals were amazing. I had a bad fall on one of the hills and wasn't too keen on it getting checked out but the first aid staff were so welcoming and considerate — put me right at ease. Thanks guys! Highly recommend!

Great rooms. Great activities for summer and winter. I stayed in summer. The rooms and grounds were very well kept.

Resort staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are very well layed out and equipped. Wish I was staying here longer!

Had a great stay, just a weekend getaway, but the second ice was always with a smile. Our room was clean and comfortable. We will be returning again.

It's like I walked into the 70's… stains on the carpets and very old grimy furniture. Especially disappointed when the booking sites showed a newly renovated hotel resort…

Mostly disappointed. I am staying there right now. Dated room. I've tried to call the front desk 4 times and instead have to listen to recorded promos. Nobody seems to care that guests are calling or bother to pick up. There's REALLY loud music from the guest above, we need towels and have questions about breakfast. We shouldn't have to leave our building and walk across in a thunderstorm, to speak with the front desk.

I have been a 5x7 season pass holder for the past 2 years. And come from Toronto 3-5 times a week to ride Horseshoe. I like the environment, and the atmosphere even though the hills are pretty small. My family had a room up at Carriage Hills last weekend, so I was spending time with them. I decided I wanted to ride in the morning on Sunday with my family, being the honest person that I am, I went into buy a lift ticket instead of sneaking onto the hill with a 5x7 pass (since they never check passes anyways). When getting a ticket, I mentioned I was a season pass holder thinking I would at least get some leniency towards the rate of a full ticket. BOY! was I wrong. The staff at the counter told me there was nothing she could do, and I would have to buy a day ticket, or wait till 330pm. Because I wanted to ride with my family, I accepted, I can not believe they would charge me 51$ for a ticket so I could ride 4 hours before my allotted time. I can't begin to tell you how much money I've spent this season at Horseshoe between the overpriced food/alcohol at The Crazy Horse, the food at the cafeteria, the beavertails, the hot chocolates, etc. I don't expect to get on for free, but seriously full price when I'm a season pass holder is ridiculous. Probably won't be returning to Horseshoe next year. I have no problem driving 20 minutes up the road to Mount St. Louis.

Terrible room — nothing like the pictures on the website. Really noisy until 10 at night — loud music on the ski slopes = impossible for my kids to get to sleep. Allegedly a kid friendly resort, but not if you want your kids to sleep. Avoid.

Although the resort has many activities we were disappointed with our accomodations. Our room was nicely furnished however the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The vacuuming was not thoroughly done as there was debris left on the carpet in the sunken living room area. While sitting in the chair near the window I noticed that the California shutters were extremely dusty and there were actually cobwebs in the space between the window frame and the window ledge. Check in time was at 4pm however when we enquired at 4:20 there was still another delay before they had a room available.

Really impressed with the hotel staff. Cheerful and helpful, even went so far as to offer to bring us a dvd player and movies when we asked whether they have on demand movies. Silks restaurant in the hotel was also delicious with great service. A few bumps in the road with stuff closed for renos, having to call desk for a hair dryer, but the staff were so nice and attentive it made up for it.

No tooth paste. 200 bux a nite. Ghetto-ass motels in cracktown have toothpaste. Wtf is this? lame and 8holes to boot.

We were at the Horsehoe Resort February 14-15, 2014. We rented the two bedroom condo. We were extremely pleased with everything during our stay! Everyone from check-in thru lift operators were extremely efficient and friendly. We had purchased the ski and stay package, and found it very valuable. We had requested early check-in and were extremely pleased to find our room ready for our use upon our arrival. Thank-you Horsehoe Resort! We hope to be back.
