The worst resort I've ever been to. No instructions on how to book time at the pool. Called multiple times before checking in only to be told when we checked in on time, that there was no pool times until the day after we left. I get its Covid time, but instructions on the website on how to book a time isn't rocket science.
Upon check in, I confirmed my total with the front desk who confirmed it was $428 for the two nights. They didnt enforce masks rules or social distancing at the desk.
Our room was dirty and smelled like feet. The wooden blinds had so much dust on them, you could see the previous guests finger prints. Good sanitizing protocols, I see. Luckily I brought disinfectant and wipes down all surfaces, included the head boards which had some questionable stains on them. The bathroom sink had coffee stains in it.
You'd think for $200+ a night they could provide decent coffee in the room but no. The coffee tasted like they swept it off the floor. Only one tea bag and only coffee mate. There was a fridge and again, you'd think for over $200 a night they could provide you with some milk or creamers.
The lake is a pond. Stop calling it a lake. Its green and most of the lake is over taken by the kayaks. My 7 years old could stand comfortably in the deepest part. Theres also no instruction on how to book a tube ride. We ended up having to walk all the way back to guest services to buy a ticket and then ended up waiting over two hours for her turn. The lifeguards are more interested in cat calling the teenagers than actually guarding anything.
The restaurant is terrible. The live band that was there for one night butchered every classic song they could.
we made the most of it and left to go to Centennial Beach for some actual swimming. Upon check out, I was charged an additional $175 of hidden "resort fees". What resort? I paid extra for every activity and all food and drinks. No access the amenities.
This place should be called Horseshit Resort. Maybe The Last Resort.
Save your money. Honestly.
