It was a comfortable bed and the room was clean. It smelled kind of like ferrets tho. Check in time was a bit long, but we came at the time everyone was checking in. Seemed like an older hotel, but had ok upgrades. Had a pool tho; didn't use it.

Beautiful motel, is certainly being repaired. The room was beautiful, the perfect bathroom for a large family with fridge and microwave. There was something missing like towel pole in the bathroom and handles on the furniture but it's a start. To have spent 1 week in this room with 5 people it was fine. There is a pool, a bit cold but greatly appreciate disenages from the kids. The super nice staff and the maids too. They give you, whatever you want. Changes your bed and often clean up.

Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Breakfast could of been better. Comfort inn offers eggs and meat as well. But overall ok.

Nice low budget motel. Great and very courteous staff.

Staff super friendly and friendly The hotel is not great luxury but for the price it is very reasonable bed very comfortable and breakfast rather nice. The hygiene of the room is not at the top of the top but the minimum is DONE. I recommend especially for the staff!

Way over priced! Was actually price gouged! Needle junkies shooting up in the stairwell at night along with street prostitutes coming and going in the same stairwell during late night and early morning. The only "good" thing was the room was clean and there were no bed bug's. (Thank GOD)

A previous guests hair in bathroom sink and around it, toilet seat broken and filthy all around the back, the bottom and on the tank, dusty ledges & TV plus dirt in corners. Cigarette holes in bedspread and this was a nonsmoking room! Room reeked of smoke, hallway reeked of smoke. Security deposit of $150 still not refunded and I told the woman at the front desk that I had read many reviews about the problems in getting a refund on the security deposit and all I got was ‘no worries… will be done on Monday’. I said at the time that if this was not done, I would make sure I posted my own review validating so many others concerns. My Visa is still showing the $150 and will now have to escalate the matter. Their large front door had the window broken and only two small strips of tape ‘holding’ it together. Garbage all over their front area and back. Icy parking lot. When I checked out, the same woman could not even bother getting up from eating food and talking to a friend from one of their breakfast tables to properly check me out. Told me to just leave the key on the desk! Stayed in February 2018 for 1 night and hope to never have to stay there again. This was a last minute ‘must do’ business trip and awful experience.

Definitely an economy hotel. There were issues at check-in with the reserved room not being available. The front desk tried very hard to leverage me into taking a room type that I did not want. There was a lot of miscellaneous damage evident throughout the building as shown in the pictures. People were noisy at nights. And the breakfast bar was messy each day and had very minimal offerings. The only noteworthy item about the hotel was that it was relatively cheap.

Comfy beds… clean and spacious rooms. Enjoyed my stay… will be back.

Well the parking was ok. The pool was very small with widow everywhere so they could watch you from the front and the busy road can also watch with a good view. We book online and we chose the dog option when we arrive at the hotel we were getting book in then we said we had dogs and he freak out. He gave us a lecture. He told us people usually call first and don't get discount with dogs. He gave us a fuss than told us we were. Lucky to have there one room left. By the way we're. Downgrading the room and making you spend more money now. It was a bit sketchy at nighttime. There was barely anything to eat around 845 am for breakfast. I guess you need to wake up super early if you want any food.

I have just left non anticipated leave but I had to keep moving. The hospitality and service was a 11 out of 10. Very welcoming and super clean. I'm definitely gonna be going back for a one night stay with my family.

Terribly rude customer service and disgusting conditions. The rooms are dirty and receptionist is very rude. The receptionist almost charged me for not checking out on time and told me that “it’s not her problem” if I knew or not. At other super 8 they call at 9am to remind 11am is checkout. She was unreasonable to call at 11am to remind me that I have to checkout at 11. Not knowing I had to checkout I slept in and woke up 2 hours later and she wanted to charge me when I didn’t know. I ask for the manager and he’s not there, she said no one else but her is there. Initially I had paid cash and was going to extend my stay but according to her they “just don’t take cash anymore”. The policy suddenly changed in a few days apparently. She was intentionally giving me a hard time and had an attitude problem for whatever reason. Otherwise the place is very dirty and looks rundown. The price isn’t worth the horrible service and gross conditions. I don’t recommend this place at all.

Heavy smoke smell in hallway. Clean lobby. Decent Continental breakfast. Overall fair value.

There are dozens of motels and some hotels along the stretch of road. Most are very dilapidated. This place is decent. It has a very small swimming pool, but I guess that still counts as having a swimming pool. It has free Wi-Fi and free breakfast. Breakfast is generally continental with some fruit on hand but of particular interest is the waffle making machine which you use to make a fresh hot waffle using batter. I only interacted with the reception counter staff which was fine.

The service was poor, my key card never worked, I stayed there for over a week with work and it was my worst experience in a hotel, the continental breakfast was a joke, milk was sour three days in a row. The staff was rude. If you can find a better price you could most likely find a better place.

Well I expected much worse. The rooms where very clean and up to date. (no bugs) nice tv. Nice bathroom. Even the breakfast was what I expect from best western or any other decent hotel. Honestly I would have gave this place 4 stars if it wasn't for the staff. I called to book the room and they said you have to pay now 190 I said I have 150 on my card now take that ill pay the rest cash when I get there. They said ok charged my card. When I got there they said that was just a deposit. (190 is ridiculous for a deposit) especially in a cracked out neighborhood. They then up the price of the room and said if I didn't pay 220 for the room I could leave. Because it was on my card I couldn't get the deposit back for 2 days which I'm still waiting for. And being night time I had to pay because everywhere else was booked. There some crooked people. (**update**), I got my deposit back like 4. Business days later.

Stayed on 3rd floor. Room was spacious. I appreciated power bar included. Hotels should ALWAYS include a power bar with room in this electronic age in which we live. (And phone chargers! ) Bed was comfortable although a little soft. Nice touch to have sink outside of shower /toilet area so one person can use sink area while other guest uses other facilities.

I wouldn't even give this place a half a star. The manager/owner Roman is a cheapskate when it comes to putting money in his own pocket. He is very unprofessional and rude to customers. He cares about one thing the almighty dollar and please DO NOT support him in renting one of his rooms for the night he doesn't care about YOU the customer. Rooms that are on the third floor DOES smell like piss and cigarettes. Sally and the housekeeping staff does a terrible job cleaning. I had to bring my own supplies (Lysol, Windex etc. ) because what the cleaning staff has to bring from home to clean the rooms doesn't do anything. The hotel doesn't supply them with anything, they have to buy cleaning products. AND they were rude when I asked for clean towels in the morning because I don't want to shower at 4 in the afternoon when they've cleaned the dirty towels from the morning. Saving the environment? I think not. Breakfast is toast and coffee. Not worth it. I'm surprised parking is free here and he doesn't charge a fee. Do not try the pool. I don't know what you could possibly contract in there. This place should be transformed into a shelter like the place where the Comfort Inn was. People that need affordable housing should utilize this place instead of millionaires. Highway robbery at it's finest. I had a naked man stand in front of my door the one night and thank god my husband was there with me. Police, drug dealers and hookers are always there doing God knows what.

The location is definitely east as their official name suggests for it lies very much outside of the Toronto city limits. The rooms were fine for a budget motel but did have a strong chemical smell and the sheets were not in pristine condition. Breakfast did not include any hot items and the dining area was fairly small. The desk attendent on duty was friendly and helpful but was stingy about charging me for a third occupant in the room. This was not our first choice but is a safe choice along a road with numerous motel options.

Service was great. Very friendly staff. Location was awesome.

Shittiest hotel in the history of history. Smells bad, pills in the staircase, horrible bathrooms with blood everywhere, blood on the sheets, smells bad, A/C does not work, Lights are broken, roof almost falling, wall paint ripping. The only good thing was the Wi-Fi.

This is not a hotel. Staff did what they could and were ok but this place is TERRIBLE. Highly unsanitary, hallways are digusting, toilet papers everywhere, cigarettes butts, horrible smell everywhere, stains, broken bathrooms, broken ceilings, dirty carpets and beds as well. So nasty everywhere that we were afraid to leave the room to get food. We stayed one night just to sleep then bolted without looking back. It was also pricey which does not make sense based on the EXTREMELY POOR CONDITIONS of that place. To forever forget. MGMT should go to jail for even allowing people to be there. Your health is in danger if you even step in there.

It's better to sleep in a dumpster than this place. Cockroaches and bed bugs are wild there. Alot of upgrades needed to be done. Dont waste your money here its a waste of time.

I checked in and checked out in under 10 minutes. At check in paid 160+. When you walk in the couch looked really old and outdated. I went to use the bathroom and toilet was broken. I phoned downstairs and they offered to put me in a different room. Long story short I didn't want to see what the other room was like. Horrible service you guys don't even deserve one star but can't do anything lower. The girl at the front desk was not friendly. I'm writing this review at another hotel in the city. Don't waste your money.

Don't stay here it was not comforting what so ever there was bed bugs and cockroches everywhere the service sucked the buttons on the remote where Evan gone plus a hookers was trying to sell her self to me which I think she was on somthing like do u really want your family here I don't think it's kid friendly at all the tub drain was clogged smelt bad and was was verry disrespectful to my boss and myself aswell and u could not pay me to make me stay there.

The only thing I liked about this place was looking back at the dirty ol super 8 sign in the rear view, from the insects too the less than mediocre service, only piece of advice would be to just keep driving or pull over and you'll guaranteed have a better sleep in your truck/car than you would in one of the bed bug beds or cockroach covers rooms.

Horrible the room had to be cleaned again before we could even enter, the smell of smoke was better than the other smells… the dripping tap was great to fall asleep too, the lack of towels was very nice, the fact that it was 30degrees and no air conditioning was a warm though … best part the toilet over flowing after midnight and being given two face cloths to clean the floor with. We would have changed hotels but the management was not accommodating : (

The room itself was OK. Clean and spacious… did the job of having to sleep there for one night. The problem occurred when I pulled up to the drive way to see 5 prostitutes surrounding a car and 3 sets of men getting drunk in the parking lot. Did not leave a good impression at all and it was actually pretty sketchy.

I went here last week. They have changed everything, and The motel has bee renovated. The staff is really helping and generous. It is a must stay for Toronto visit.

Although I was technically not allowed to cancel because of a work trip conflict. The manager Romaro helped to work out a solution that allowed me not to lose my intial rental. Of course with a small difference. This is expected. I could have lost the whole thing. But he was willing to work things out. I'm a poor volunteer for the Pan Am games. And I've already invested alot of money in this project to come out.

I mentioned the broken door to the bathroom that would never close properly much less lock to the staff and they told me "we'll mention it to the repair staff" yet I could tell that the door had been like that for a long time, ergo they were just feeding me a line. I really expected more from a Super 8 and for how much they charged for the rooms. The rest of the motel was nothing special either.

Booked over the phone, got a decent rate, Super 8 is a respectable chain of motels. This was terrible, Front desk staff advised us that we have to pull up on our door handle to open the door, (its malfunctioning and need fixing aka BROKEN). We booked a non smoking room, we walked into our "non smoking" room to be greeted by a powerful smell of a previously smoked in room. If a room was a smoking room converted to Non Smoking, serious cleaning needs to be done to get that smell out. Front desk offered us air freshner (I dont blame the front desk person but thats not a fix to the problem). The room is alright from the look of things but for the rate we are paying I have come to expect more from Super 8. I know this is Toronto and things tend to be more expensive but in Sault Ste Marie for $10 more we were in a nice hotel which makes this place look like a dive. We booked for 4 nights, we only stayed for 1 because we booked after the cancellation time. Do not recommend this location.

We are going there for years, every couple of months. Every time we come, we notice that the rooms look less then before, the towels thinner and more disturbing noises coming from everywhere. We ask always for a non smoking room, and still we get a room where they have smoked. The carpets have burn spots on it, and you can smell the smoke right away. Last time we went in May 2014, we got an awful small room, without windows, and the door didn't close. We asked for an other room, after a lot of talking we got another room, it wasn't great either. We book always weeks before we come. The breakfast we never take, it is not much of a breakfast at all. This was definitely the last time we went there.
