Poorly maintained rooms and air conditioning faulty.

All good, bed is larger than expected for the price but having to pay for parking after purchasing the room is poor form.

I wouldn’t pay what we paid, the photos look great but not like that at all. No way I’d stay here again.

Do not park your vehicle inside this hotels car park unless you drive a scooter. I have a small car and almost hit my car on a wall and various random poles in the middle of the car park multiple times. Driving through the car park gave me massive anxiety as the place is very poorly laid out. Save your money and park elsewhere. The elevators are also terrifying. They’re old as hell and make horrible crunching and grinding noises and the whole carriage wobbles if you shift your weight even the slightest bit. One of the elevators doors open and close randomly when you get to a floor and you have to hold the close button down.

Room was larger then expected. Wasn’t impressed barrister made coffee was unavailable to guest on the weekends … Staff unable to recommend a near by cafe. Google is always more helpful. Staff member whom served us upon checkin was blunt and rude to the point.

Staff very polite and helpful. Nothing is too much.

Disappointed actually as I have stayed at quite a few Mantras. Parking was full so had to park a block away in a parking garage! Mmmm not very good for paying guests Bathroom was disgusting. Mouldy & dirty.! Not oven cold water in the fridge… no restaurant, only serves breakfast.

Went out of their way to accomodate us. Did so much for my daughter who was beginning a Make-a-wish holiday. So impressed!

Lovely staff & accommodation for a course. But the worst car parking of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at & having to pay $20 per night.

Lovely hotel, great welcome, plenty of extras in the rooms and bathroom, kitchen. Stayed at mantra before and always leave enjoying our holiday. Thankyou.

Stayed for a work trip and would look elsewhere in the future. Having previously stayed at many Mantra hotels I expected the same quality across the board, unfortunately that was not the case. My room was stuffy & the air conditioning did not work. No proper blankets on the bed — just a sheet had to grab a scratchy blanket from the wardrobe. Bed uncomfortable. Bathroom had been cleaned but was dated and grimy just because it was so old. Noisy neighbouring room (yelling/ laughing and doors slamming from 1-3am). No dinner facilities on site. As mentioned in many reviews — staff are very friendly! Mantra should be looking into improvements/ upgrades ASAP.

Great view and location, decent size room pretty basic. Had to open the veranda door for fresh air. Couldn’t eat or drink anything cause the smell kinda put me off. Barthroom okay not great but it does the job. Parking area is the only thing that would keep me from going back there. When they talk about confined space this is it. Bring a small car. If you are willing to spend more and be comfortable with parking and everything els. I’d say hotel Jen is the way to go. But this is great if you need somewhere cheep to stay for a few nights in the city. The location is fantastic! 9min walk to central train station 11 min walk to Queen street mall. At the end of the day I wanted somewhere cheep for 2 days to sleep, shower, park my car. Not bad. Reception was helpful.

Rooms need a good spring clean (lots of dust in air con). Service from staff and value for money was good. 15 minute walk from Queen Street Mall.

Staff were very lovely and accommodating. The bar/ restaurant wasn’t open except for breakfast. Car parking is ridiculous and a charge of $20 per night. Rooms very run down. Whole place run down. Bed comfortable.

I usually stay at the mantra as have only had nice experiences. This round left me somewhat wanting. The rooms were tired and the bed was uncomfortable, the toilet flusher was broken and hallways were musty. It needs rejuvenating. Most of the staff were very friendly and a pleasure to be around. Location was good.

Convenient location, near the river so you can go for a run or walk through the Botanic Gardens. There's a Woolworths and Priceline right nearby so you can pick up food and essentials easily.

The room I stayed in was clean and well maintained on the 17Th floor. We had a microwave and toaster which I was surprised about, good surprise. The hotel carpark is not built for big cars, I'd day it'd be manageable but not somewhere I'd like to drive a large car around in. The lady at reception was really nice while checking in also. I didn't need any further help so cannot comment too much on the staff. The gym had an elliptical, a treadmill, all in one weights thing and possibly a bike. The pool and spa were handy and there is also a sauna if interested. I would stay again.

Great place secon time visting staff was great no complants.

Please tell the house keepers they need to knock before barging in on sexual activities. And whilst you're tslking to your staff please remember we can hear what you're saying and yes customers are allowed in their rooms no matter what time of the day. As for other services there's no 24 hr room service… in fact just don't bother trying get off your and go next door to subway or the bottleo or woolies. Damaged tiles in bathroom seems par for the course these days. The toilets didn't flush properly either buy hey who really expects hotels to perform maintenance anyway?

No hot water for 24 hours so far. Bathroom is very small, you have to close the door to climb into the bath for a shower. Well at least you would if you had hot water. Very sad.

Stayed 8 & 9th Feb 2018. Very very tired apt. Broken chairs. Unacceptable level of accommodation for even half the price. Three staff members were very pleasant. Generally though, disgusted with our stay.

Always felt welcomed by front desk. Rooms are clean with everything you need. Suites on the corners have external shared clothes washing machines but rooms next to the lift have it internal. Great location close to plenty of restaurants. There can be some street noise if you're on a low level facing the river. Lost a star for the gym being pretty small.

We wont be staying here again. We asked for the king bed they put 2 single beds together. Beds were as hard as a rock. Didn't get any sleep. It was a spa room, spa didn't work. Very disappointing.

What a beautiful spot to stay. We had a fantastic time. Can't beat it for price.

An 8-minute walk from Brisbane Central railway station, this modern high-rise hotel is 1.4 km from Brisbane central business district and 3.4 km from the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art. Relaxed rooms (some with balconies) and 1 — and 2-bedroom apartments come with city views, Wi-Fi (fee), microwaves and flat-screen TVs with cable channels. The apartments add fully equipped kitchens, washer/dryers and balconies. Room service is available. Amenities include a contemporary grill restaurant and bar, plus an outdoor pool, an exercise room and a sauna. OMG!

Stayed on 26th level with a great view, definitely the biggest positive of the hotel. The room was well layed out, although starting to look its age a bit (was a rather large crack in ceiling). The shower is a bath combo and not great if you're any taller than 6 foot as the shower head won't adjust. Room featured the usual stains on carpet and cushions which are pretty normal in today's world I guess. Staff were friendly and well presented. Allowed us to cloak bags after we checked out, although they were simply tucked around the corner near reception meaning anyone could probably just nick them if they wanted. The key cards to gain entry to rooms were also a bit dodgy, would take multiple attempts to unlock door for room, and didn't work at all when trying to access the lobby when returning after 11pm when glass doors are locked. Some other guests were also trying to gain access to lobby but their cards didn't work either… and no one was at front desk to open door. Overall it was not bad, but a few things to work on for sure.

Next to no service at front desk. Came in after being caught in the storm and asked reception girl for a towel so we do not to wet the floor. Answer was no! dont have one and she walked off. Had no tea towel soap or cloth for kitchen on calling reception I was told 3 times it was under the sink. Clearly it wasn't. Had to ask several times for new towels.

Very clean and great location. You have to pay for Wi-Fi, which is a bit ridiculous.

Not bad rooms, just don't try and park in the car park. A challenge for even the most experienced driver.

The staff were amazing and helped assist me when I wasn't sure where to go for my conference. The building was clean and tidy.

Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff. Only gripe is the parking … not easy if you drive a big car.

Very clean and modern, perfect size and design for the apartment unit. Only drawbacks were the slow service at peak time for check-in, there was 1 person. And really slow elivators.

Car park? What car park? Told they had run out of parking spaces, how can a building be built without enough available parking spaces for its guests. Than we were directed to the nearest paid parking in the valley during heavy rain. Mantra are normally really good but disappointed this time. Won't be staying at mantra on queen again.

Nice tidy room, handy central location to City and Valley precincts. Efficient staff, adequate facilities. Incredibly small and dangerously unnavigable carpark, charged extra for the "privilege" of parking onsite.

Excellent reception. Room was small but nice with a river veiw. Really enjoyed my stay. Except the spare bed was uncomfortable.

Paid for parking on arrival with cash and received a slip to put into car. Tried to charge me for parking the next day. Requested double bed and got two singles. We were told it was a double. Bathroom fittings didn't work properly and are needed to be replaced.

Worst hotel I've ever been in, Rooms filthy, I've got some photos I wish I can post them. Power points missing covers, hallway smells awful, worst customer service I've ever experienced. Charges more than the Hilton for breakfast and you get poatched eggs. And some bread. Carpark… that's another nightmare. Charged me $20 per night and I came back on Saturday night it was full as it's open to public and anyone can drive in and park (no gates) when I parked in an orange spot I was told to remove it and park it on the street or a public Carpark. Mantra… never again.

The staff were friendly… The satisfaction started and ended there… The balconies were not clean, there was not enough water to fill the tub, I had to get the maintenance man to come up twice to help me with the washing machine,, The jug coed was only long enough to work in one power point which was no where near the kitchen facilities… Holes in the elevators,,, food was of course overpriced… Not to mention the fact they sent me a message to politely tell me I could check out two hours later for the cost of 50 dollars. And that was the good stuff that happened to me last weekend… seriously … how is the mantra still in business?

Pretty ordinary, the bedding was dirty and room had a musty odour. Also didn't feel comfortable on the outside balcony, the barrier height and material was not sufficient in my view.

A bit of a tired location. Some of the basics weren't in place (no hairdryer = leaving for work with wet hair each day! ).
Front desk team pleasant enough but when calling down put me on hold for several minutes whilst taking another call and didn't come back to me. When I gave up and tried to call back several minutes later the phone wasn't operational — no dialing tone and wouldn't dial reception — not great when you are on the 26th floor with slow lifts!
Internet is not complimentary as stated in literature and utilising it is via credit card only (even if full account to company).
Car park the most bizarre experience encountered — it's crazy paving translated to concrete posts — if you stay and park there you'll see what I mean.

Rooms not very well cleaned. Mould and Cockroaches in bathroom. Noisy as some apartments are privately owned. About a 3 star hotel only. If that. Rooms… depends which one you get. Not recommended. In my travels I will not seek out a mantra hotel. Internet in NOT free. Parking is NOT free. But basically the cleanliness is my main concern. Location good. Check in staff pleasant.

Wasn't impressed with a $200 security deposit and be told it takes up to 10 working days to have refunded. Our little room fridge wouldn't keep anything cold. Restaurant breakfast wasn't great. The so called sourdough toast was so thick and wasn't toasted and the excuse for baked beans was disgusting. Wouldn't eat there again. Room overall was good and pool and spa also good.

Still staying at Mantra on Queen and have to say. It's blumming lovely. Everything you need in your room And a washer/dryer outside your room. And it's free! Friendly/ helpful staff and some of the best views of the city… well worth staying here. Local to everything.

Good location and service. But they have one of the worst carparks. Don't park there if you can help it. No free Wi-Fi in the rooms.

The room was comfortable however the bathroom was pretty shabby. The room service menu is too limited. My check in experience was great, the rooms division manager who checked me in was very friendly and professional. However, when I went down for breakfast in the morning the waitresses could not have cared less that I was there. I even had to pick up my own meal from the kitchen pass because it sat there so long. Check out was very brief, it would have been nice to have been asked about my stay and encouraged to come back. I will stay elsewhere next time I'm in Brisbane.

I was there with a group. The room was nice & tidy. The staff had to be chased up about the fold out bed that was requested (wasn't in the room). Was ok other than that.

This was quite possibly the worst service. Incompetent staff with disgusting attitude. I would never treat my clients and customers the way this disgraceful place have. If I could give you a no star rating, I would.

Nicely presented rooms with great modcons. Very friendly and attentive staff.

Very helpful concierge, great view from my balcony on 30th floor. Tiny pool but a pool nonetheless. Great breakfast.

Experience was OK using the conference room. Was told there would be tea and coffee but there were none. The only male toilet was also experiencing some flushing issues. Other than that the conference room was good and fitted everyone in and air con worked well.

Poor room facilities & design, out of order room equipment, and limited room service. Decent location and helpful staff.

Had a nice small apartment with bedroom, kitchen and living room. The room was clean and tidy and the service had no flaws. However Wi-Fi was very expensive and capped and it was quite noisy during the day due too construction work on the same level my room was on.

Coming into the Mantra was a little confusing but after entering the river view apartment on level 18 we loved the cosy feeling as we entered the room, the cute little balcony and great customer service. We will be coming back here for future endeavours.

The hotel is in a good location — pretty central to everything. The room's are clean/well kept but really basic. Don't book here expecting something amazing. The parking garage is terrible to navigate through with really awkward pillar placement which makes parking a nightmare.

Had a sort stay and was very disapointed, with the whole place. Went to the pool and the water was green, with black spot Allege. There is 240 volt lights in the pool area which has exposed tubes and wires. Inspectors should colse it down.

Been there for a business visit. First it was hard to find the hotel as it was on the corner of queen st. Nice quite place. Good food in the restaurent. Recommend to visit.

The staff here are excellent! they were very friendly, helpful and approachable, The room at first glance was nice but the bathroom you have to be careful in, my first shower there I had the shower head come flying off, it almost hit me in the head, The shower screen positioning was also an issue, where its placed doesnt make you feel safe getting in the shower, After bringing up the shower head issue with reception, they sent someone up right away to see what the issue was, They apologised and upgraded me to a better room which didnt have flying shower heads flying at ya, although the shower screen was still in the same position in the new room. Aside from the bathroom, The Mantra on queen was a lovely hotel to stay in, The restaurant down stairs was good for the price and the shops across the road was handy, its also not too far from Brisbane cbd, I'd recommend the Mantra on queen, The only thing that let the Mantra on queen down for me was the bathroom they do pose a risk of injury due to shower heads flying off and poorly placed shower screens.

I hope it was cheap. Nothing really good, and nothing really bad.

I recently stayed at the Mantra as I was in Bne for Business. The Company had me in there for 3 nights. I would have to say the location was the only thing I could recommend as it was walking distance to my office. I found the cleaning of the bathroom disgusting. I decided to take a relaxing bath so after filling the tub and sliding in only to find I was getting out very quickly as when you are down at eye level you will see all the mould around the tub! Mould was also growing near the buttons for the toilet! There was no bin liner in the bathroom bin so heaven knows what germs were brewing in there. The bathroom itself is very small an pokey with no shelf space. The bed was ok although a bit hard for my liking. This is a place I would not recommend to anyone.
