Thank you for being patient even when being attacked by the white christian missionary soldier lunatic. Good hotel. Would recommend.

I stayed here once but after watching the racist assault on the innocent workers yesterday I have this to say — This so called missionary is a danger to humanity. Why were the police not called immediately and why has this worker not been handsomely compensated for having to deal with this violent assault? Why did the hotel take so long to respond? Why did this need to be broken on social media for anything to be done? As a previous customer I like many others demand that this man is tried and imprisoned in Uganda as quickly as possible — and that the workers who suffered this assault are provided with safety protocols to deal with the psychopathic white lunatics roaming the world.

The bathrooms are an atrocity, the aervice and security are horrible. Rooms look like a cheap motel. Not quality for the price.

Comfortable clean rooms, well air conditioned and efficient room service.

Located in the heart of town, accessible, popular for currency exchange 24 hrs. A good place with live band, shopping and ao much more.

Attended a Rotary meeting hosted here. This hotel has been very supportive of the rotarians.

It's a good hotel in the middle of Kampala town, with numerous shops, karaoke nights, forex bureau and accessible to all parts of Kampala.

Food that is served is great. Only turn off are the toilets that are way too below the average. They aren't comfortable at all to be honest.

Four star hotel all though many say five star.

The hotel is basking in past glory and could do with a remake. Everthing is of yester years. The structure is still very Victorian and could easily be upgraded. The staff working there are inexperienced in hospitality etiquettes and services at restaurant worse led by managers with big titles. Hotel should rethink on its management cadre. The House keeping is however excellent and professional staff clean sheets and rooms. Kudos. Environment in the rooms compromised by cigarette smoke from the casino. Cigarratte smoke all over in the corridors.

The most disorganized place liked by govt officers and NGOs. Noisy and nosy place. But just in town.

Everyone's favourite while around Kampala. Take walk along the hills and you will be amused about its beauty.

Had the best natural juice and the place have the friendly staff.

I don't know much about the hotel but what I do know is the many Forex bureaus located here — they have the best rates in town.

Old hotell which has not been redecorated for a long time. The rooms has pretty poor standard but clean. The food is ok but no more.

I already came here with my parents we swam in the pool had lovely Food & very friendly helpful Staff! Jumbo, Grand Imperial Hotel is still fantastic & like it was, of course modern very clean & safe we lived her people are wonderful & the Game parcs & Ugandan Heritage☺

A somewhat worn old hotel that bears a very colonial look, it is well-situated in the centre of town. Despite the wear, the hotel is well cared-for due to a hard-working housekeeping and maintenance staff. Everything in my room worked very well and it had a small balcony over-looking the HQ of the Bank of Uganda. I made many calls for various room services and was always treated with friendliness and respect by the staff. Although TIA is always the rule, I found that the "hustle" demonstrated by the staff was impressive. I looked at four comparable hotels prior to the Grand Imperial and was either quoted a seriously unfair price with no stated room for negotiation (until I got in my car), or the hotels simply had some serious problems in or around them. The Imperial was the last on the list and I gladly settled on the best price we agreed to. Pluses are many. There are Forexes with good exchange rates just downstairs, an MTN office, and various malls and restaurants within walking distance, although the food at the Imperial is Ugandan style good. Breakfast is included. Every night a live band plays at the bar and the music is fantastic, but not loud enough to keep you up if you're not in the mood for it. The Imperial also does laundry for a rather outrageous rate, but… The Imperial will take good care of you. The staff morale is good, which means good management.

Located in uptown Kampala, Grand imperial is just the perfect place to unwind and relax, be it over their wide variety of delicacies or a cold drink with perfect background music from a live band, the diner space provides good views to the streets charmed up by friendly staff & good service.
