Hotel was very clean and modern, staff were very friendly and attentive! service was good and of a professional manor, food was ok, menu varied of good choice, food could be served hotter & tables could be more comfortable… ie a candle, flowers maybe and certainly better wine glasses. Food was of very good taste and standard just needed to be that little bit hotter! price was reasonable, not over priced neither good value, toilets clean and very well maintained as were the common areas. Overall good experience and would visit again, our waitress of the night was lovely, could not fault her.

The hotel was okay the room was clean and quite big but there was no hot water, the bed's weren't very comfortable and we had a single duvet inside a double duvet cover and the duvet cover had a small hole in the side.

Lovely hotel, across the road from the beach and really handy for Brighton either on foot or by regular bus (stops right outside). Rooms are large and very clean, great breakfasts set you up for the day.

Lovely hotel and walking distance into Brighton. Nice warm and clean room. Breakfast was lovey. It’s our favourite hotel to stay when we visit Brighton.

The hotel is very warm and comfortable with superb views over the English Channel. The staff are very friendly and the food is exceptional. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Conveniently situated along the seafront in Hove. A good walk along the front takes you to Brighton and all what goes with it. The location although handy being on the main road makes it very noisy. The rooms are a little tired but clean and well proportioned. A good TV and the usual tea and coffee as standard. The top floor rooms have great view especially the South West corner. As for the price, I think it's a bit high. Food is quite good for the bar meals. I didn't fancy having a resturant meal with so much on offer close by.

Excellent. Staff welcoming and helpful. Rooms are a good size, clean and in our case with a fantastic sea view. Breakfast excellent — buffet and a wide range cooked options prepared to order. Phillip and his breakfast team efficient and helpful. We ate in the bar as well and again the food was excellent. If you are looking for a break in Brighton this hotel is perfect. An easy walk along the prom or jump. On the 700 bus and you are in the centre.

Good simple hotel. The rooms we were in were basic but good. The bonus of an older hotel is the rooms are more spacious than the modern hotels. Some work has been done to make the bathroom wheelchair friendly and the ground-floor rooms were being redone, so I'm guessing more modernisation works are planned. The bar has a good selection of drinks and the food looked good (we didn't eat there so I can only comment on what I saw passing by) The parking behind the hotel is a challenge to get in and out, so have a look of there's space before you commit. As an alternative there's a big parking lot across the road.

Excellent room with full sea view. Very comfortable and spacious. Easy to access the beach, Brighton town centre and the marina. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Great location right on Hove seafront. Lovely rooms and even the ones facing the sea/road side, are quiet at night. Beds are extremely comfortable: we'd just spent a week travelling around Europe before staying at this hotel and the beds here were by far the most comfortable we'd had all week! Ample supply of hot drinks and biscuits provided in room. Great powerful shower! We had a problem with a strange odour in the first room they gave us, but they prepared a new room for us immediately and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We stay here regularly when visiting relatives in the area, and will continue to use this hotel in future. They also have a car park (very unusual for Brighton & Hove hotels) but if you have a large car, the entrance is very narrow and hard to negotiate.

Very enjoyable stay. Just the weather could have been improved, but one cannot blame that on the hotel. The staff were exceptionally pleasant. The room had lovely sea view. We were part of a group of 9 and every effort was made to seat older members of the group comfortably. A great experience and my wife and I would be very happy to stay there again.

It's nice to see the place is and has been revamped. Food good staff brilliant good location if you don't want to be to close but within walking distance to the centre of Brighton.

The staff is nice. The rooms are very clean. On the other hand, it lacks convenience. For example, there is no refrigerator.

Comfortable rooms, well equipped. The hotel is well located for both seafront and transport links into Brighton. Good selection of breakfast items and prompt attention by serving staff.

We stayed for one night in a huge clean family room with a great sea view. It was nicely decorated and the beds were lovely and comfortable. In the evening we decided to eat in the restaurant as a previous review said the food was good and we were not disappointed! Great presentation, generous portions and good quality food at very reasonable prices. The waiter was so helpful too. Good breakfast choice in the morning. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area.

A pleasant 2 day stay in this easy access and conveniently located hotel opposite the beach close to Brighton. The hotel was being updated and the reception area was being completed during our stay. The views from the bar, the lounge and dining room across the English Channel were great and there was a bus stop outside for the short trip to Brighton. We enjoyed staying in this area away from the busy city and took advantage of the good walking promenade. The complimentary car park was a bonus, but the access limited to smaller cars, although there were some spaces in the front driveway. The room facing the rear was ok but I would suggest that a superior room with a sea view would be nicer. Our breakfasts were very good and the staff attentive and professional.

Average hotel with good beds, English good breakfast.

A very well kept hotel on the seafront, although quite a walk from the town centre, there is a bus stop directly outside and an all day ticket only cost us £4. The reception staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. The room we had was very clean and modern, we didn't have a seafront room but was able to upgrade to one for a small charge. We visited in January so we weren't very lucky weather wise but luckily the food in the hotel was excellent so we didn't need to venture too far in the rain one night. The full English is cooked to order and well worth trying. All in all, you won't be disappointed with this hotel.

Lovely warm & friendly hotel, which exceeded our expectations. We stayed in room 50, with balcony & beautiful sea veiw. They have a few characters, the night porter & breakfast waiting staff, which made our stay more enjoyable.

A nice mid-range hotel on the front at Hove. Buses stop outside the hotel for those wishing to visit Brighton — a 10/15 minute journey. Hotel is very clean and comfortable with good sized en-suite rooms, some with sea view. God restaurant with limited menu and small resident's bar. Reasonably priced outside of festival dates, the hotel offers limited on-stage parking on a first come/first served basis.

Location was good as where staff and hotel's condition. Breakfast was good with good service. Restaurant was good. A thank you to the gentleman working the bar, came back from a concert late as he pulled the shutters down, but reopened them for much needed drink. Parking, need to get there early for space. Rooms, clean and tidy, can be noisy, doors seem to slam shut.

This hotel has bigger rooms than the mini rooms of some Brighton hotels. The downside is its out of town a bit. I was happy to trade a bigger room and lose the convenience of a a hotel in a central location. The bus service is not great here from what I could see. Staff are very helpful.

Helpful, friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Food lovely. Free car park, first come first serve. Restaurant and bar. Comfy bed, bathroom ok. Lighting in room could be lighter in parts.

Staff very welcoming. Room a little dated but clean and had lovely view of seafront. Temperature of room was very hot with no heating on but fan was provided in cupboard. Everything in room we could need. Was going out for evening meal but as we passed restaurant the aroma drew us to look at menu. Had a brilliant 3 course meal spoilt for choice and presented and cooked well. Waitress was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast again good choice and served well. Only downside was front of hotel not appealing and parking appalling. Very narrow entrance and when we got into car park no spaces available so had the task of getting back out. Parking around hotel quite expensive and drove round for a while to find a space however this is a busy town so to be expected. Overall a good stay and we would book again in back in the area.

Clean and tidy. The place feels slightly dated but otherwise fine. The food is creeping towards the expensive side in the restaurant.

A relaxing place to stay. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Room was large and comfortable with excellent bathroom. Breakfast is generous and well cooked with attentive and caring service. Hotel has free off road parking (on a first come first served basis) and is also on the main bus route to Brighton. I have stayed here before and will again!

Room wasn't as nice as last year but was clean and service was good overall happy.

Really close to the beach with a great view of the sea. Room was spacious, tidy and clean. A short walk from lots of great restaurants in Hove. They even provided secure storage for our bikes.

Good location, right on the sea front. Entrance doors were very difficult to open especially carrying luggage. Excellent room, large comfortable bed. Room would benefit from a toilet brush. Soft close lid was appreciated. Free parking, but was full up and had to park on the road outside. Free Wi-Fi. Attentive service at breakfast.

Nice hotel, clean with friendly staff. Very nice room bright and clean. Bedroom doors make a loud bang if left to close on their own, we were woken at 1.40am when the people in the net room to us came in and did just that. We also found the walls to be thin as we could hear them having sex! Breakfast was very good plenty of choice.

Very nice hotel clean and we had a very nice room on the top floor, not a sea view but the view was nice out over some very nice houses and to the hills. Staff very friendly and helpful and very nice breakfast. Only a few issues we had though, bedroom doors are quite heavy and make a loud bang when left to close on their own! We were woken at 1.40 by someone doing this! Also walls must be thin as we could hear the people in the next room having sex And there is a noise like a bathroom fan going all the time.

Polite, friendly staff. Good food, with one of the best burgers I've had served in the bar. One star off due to the parking, or lack of. It does say on the sign it's a first come first served policy, but even if there is a space you need to be a good driver to turn round a large car or van… Or reverse out again.

Nice hotel, clean, looks modern and polished on the inside. Staff were friendly, the man serving breakfast was very nice and nothing was to much trouble (a nice way to start the day) — beach across the road, only took 1 star off as the car park has very limited space so had to park on the street where it's only free 8pm-9am so had to get up early to leave avoiding paying (there is a app for parking so you could do it from bed but you'd still have to wake up for it)

Just as described but kinda reminds me of a motel but without much parking (we didn't need a parking space but just letting drivers know). We booked a sea view room and that's what we got! Can't complain, just a few little things to note: shower is very slippery so use the non-slip mat provided. The reception area is a little bit dated. The great thing is that it's not too close to the heart of things so it was quiet and we slept so well. We got there really late (past midnight), but the guy at reception was super understanding and incredibly welcoming actually. Wish check out time was later than 11am but the sun was shining bright so wouldn't have wanted to keep our eyes closed anyway. It's such a great walk along the beach back to the pier, you really get to enjoy more of it when walking from this hotel.

I stayed only for one night and didn't use the restaurant. The parking is tight. The foyer was a little underwhelming with a reception that reminded me of the one in the flop house used by the Blues Brothers. There were boxes in the foyer. The decor is all rather brown and and a bit 70s but was otherwise clean and tidy. The room was great — it was comfortable and clean and without fault. Breakfast was good with lots of choice between continental and the ubiquitous full English in its variations. The room layout was a little odd with columns and partitions. I'd be happy to return.

I have stayed there last year same time, this time my bed was 2 single beds joined together, and when I was sleeping could feel the 2 beds coming apart. Parking is very limited as there is refurbishment of the hotel going on so no parking.

I was given a big room (with 2 too many beds) but could hear next door's TV through the door in between the 2 rooms. Food was well presented but badly cooked and didn't taste great.

Apart from the paramedic who thought he was rambo's brother and the plonker who blocked me in it was quite nice.

The hotel reception seemed fine when we arrived, very nice receptionist. The room we were allocated though was a different matter. We encountered a round bed which unfortunately the hotel seemed to have no proper bedclothes that fit it. There was staining under the sheets and on the mattress which we tried to not think about. The room itself was the most tasteless room I have ever seen in a hotel, also the room was located next to the lift, which made for a very unpleasant sleepless night. If you are offered room 22 I would suggest you give it a miss! We certainly were very dissapointed with the Princes Marine hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, judging by the room that we were given. Caroline Somerset.
