This was a very amusing place I'll give it that. You'll need to remember a code to get in the front door and another code to enter your room as they don't use keys. This is a nightmare on the first night getting back at 8am pissed up. Very nice people the first person we met offered me and my misses drugs for free we kindly declined the second was running from the police. The third was punching holes in the walls. This was the best weekend away in a long time! Always something happening. The rooms are very basic. The toilet is the size of my wardrobe at home and no heating or double glazing.

I had paid for two nights as a last minute booking with not many options remaining. It was the worst place I have ever visited. I decided to leave first thing in the morning. Had I not travelled so much and wasn't so fatigued I would've left and booked elsewhere on the same night. It smelt horrible, bathrooms were dirty, I chose not to shower due to further hygiene concerns, no soap in bathrooms, used condoms on toilet floor and the beds were dirty. The smell alone was terrible. The Wi-Fi was really bad, very poor connectivity and unusable, no signal and atrocious location. Would not recommend this to anyone, I would've been better sleeping in the train station. I don't understand how this place is still operating.

Great, cheap place with helpful staff. Good atmosphere. Closed to the sea.

Toilet had no top, water was freezing cold. Bed was comfortable but the double bed just had one blanket. Breakfast was nice and staff was very friendly and helpful!

CAUTION! This place is not what it says it is. We booked to stay two nights and only stayed for one night. I have stayed in many hostels around the world and in the UK is this is by far the worst one! I wouldn't even put my dog in this place. Firstly the room was a shared room of four and they don't consider male and female separate accommodation. The room itself wasn't big enough to swing a cat and the upkeep was diabolical. The bed linen was smelly and unwashed and the bathroom was filthy. The staff in general where not helpful at all. There was no where to safely keep your belongings and people where able to have access to your luggage. We where told on arrival that the second night we would have to move rooms due to a window needing fixing but when the following day arrived they turfed us out and put other people in the room instead. They told us they would move our bags, asking us to tag them so they knew they where ours. When we we arrived in the new room our bags where not there so we had to ask where they where and we where told they had been left in the room that we had previously stayed in, which now had other people in. The two guys that where in the first room with us had washing hanging in the room over our beds and they said that they where staying a while. ALL NOT GOOD! Breakfast was stale food, plastic plates, knifes, cups ets and morning coffee was served in a polystyrene cup.

I stayed for 2 nights with friends. This wasn't what I expected & the accommodation hardly looks like what it is in their images but then again, I guess you can never fully expect that in any place. This was slightly decent but not the best. Probably better than other youth hostels! However as I walked into my room I did regret staying there. The room looked nothing like what it was on the website, bed sheets were possibly not even washed! Stains on the mattress, bathroom was not even clean, dirty toilet & shower. I had my own pillow case fortunately. Couldn't sleep as there was so much noise in the night. The Wi-Fi was so poor, wasn't visible to connect with in the room. People doing drugs. The only advantage is that it was cheap!

I booked last minute for a double bedroom with shower in it. The place is spartan. Basic to the bone which is what you expect at that price range. It's cheap. Close to everything in Hove (not Brighton). Not too noisy (exept for the member of staff who was shouting to fix some water problem) and doesn't smell bad. I will come back if I'm in the area again.

WORST EVER! Not only the place is far from the city center, dirty, loud and expensive but me and my friend got THOUSANDS of bed bug bites! all around our back, chest and arms! Think it twice! contact me if you need more info or pictures of the bites! disgusting! (PLUS, I stayed there 2 nights I can tell the Wi-Fi is shit and the service not friendly or whatsoever! )

Was not happy from the start and wish my previous location had rooms, I was fighting bed bugs and photos to prove it. Under my bed is crisp packs and other stuff. When the previous person left no one cleans or anything so not sure how long a bed gets cleaned, you charge high prices for nothing. The breakfast! Get with the program, the bread was old, your system for everyone is so difficult in just a piece of bread, juice or a coffee. I would of donated more and wasted my money on this. Sort it! Your office is closed at weird times and no communication when needed. The security system is the only thing going for it. I own a accommodation company and if I gave service like this I would go broke. I will not be returning anytime or recommending. I informed the staff and they would send someone, that did not happen. Sort it!

Stayed there for 1 night during October. Radiator in room didn't work, so it was very chilly all night. Staff forgot to put a curtain in the window between when we checked-in and when we came back from the pub at half 12ish as they said they were going to while we were out. Consequently, staff had to hang the curtain when we returned at night. The curtain ended up being too short and too small for the window, so there was a lot of light in the room in the morning. The floors of the hostel are all wooden, so it is very loud when anyone walks past the door of your room. Breakfast is only served between 9.30-10, which is just stupid. Check-out is only at 10am, unless you pay for a later check-out. Bit ryanair-ish. Also, the reception desk isn't manned until 10amish, so there is a long queue for checking out in the morning. The one shared toilet on our floor didn't have any toilet paper from 4pm — 9.30am, despite staff being told about it. The staff are obviously very hard working, but there just aren't enough staff on hand to handle such a big hostel. The girl doing the night shift was very helpful and very quick. We wanted to check-out before 10, to catch a train, and she appeared in minutes when we buzzed the reception. One of the only pluses of the hostel.
