Love this place. I work away and I love coming home knowing the gym, pool and classes are there for when I'm home. Lovely staff, and the Yoga is amazing!

Beautiful building and setting definitely a wow factor. However a disappointing afternoon tea, dry rolls and over baked scones (we had to return). I feel as there should have been a choice of sandwich fillings as 2 of the 3 were uncooked (salmon and Parma ham) they are not to everyones taste.

Had food here and j can honestly say that a 28 year old stray dog would not have eaten my burger. Service is up there with the worst you'll ever experience.

I rent the studio there for dance classes. Facilities are great, staff are lovely. Very polite and friendly.
After using other venues this beats them all hands down. You can even chill out and have a good coffee too in tranquility. Thank you for having us and making us feel so welcome.

Lovely setting and 3 course meal was tasty.
Was booked by my daughter as a spar retreat only to be told that the pool, spar and sauna was closed within an hour of our check-in.
So we couldn't use the facilities
Breakfast was over cooked.

Great food and service. Great atmosphere.

What they called scenes were the size of a small biscuit and stale, people at the other table experienced the same. The smallest mince pies I have ever seen. The room was cold very very disappointed.

I had my wedding at miskin manor on the 5th september, it was an incredible day. Abigail was my wedding planner and she was just amazing from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble for her. Very rude manager, treat their staff badly, dont allow more than 15 minute break in 9 hours. Member of staff needed hospital treatment yet the manager wanted her to continue working. She had severe allergic reaction and was hospitalised but was told not to be silly and carry on working. We are seeking legal advice for unfair dismissal for taking a break and for deformation of character. She doesn't even know her staff she accuses the wrong staff for other staffs doing.

Had my daughter wedding here and everyone said it was fab the rooms. Views of the grounds were fab Staff are incredible nothing was to much fir them it was everything and more. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

I had my wedding here just last weekend and it was amazing from start to finish
Everything was as perfect as I had envisioned and all the staff were absolutely amazing. They couldn’t do enough for us all day and were always on hand with a kind word or a helping hand
We also stayed the night in a beautiful room which was clean and tidy and had beautiful views of the gorgeous grounds just outside
Would highly recommend Miskin Manor and will be back to visit very soon

Absolutely loved my stay here! Beautiful building and interior, fantastic service, food outstanding and treatment at the spa blissful! I’ve stayed in a number of spa hotels and this is by far the best! I will most definitely be back, in fact it will probably now be my go to weekend break!

I had the pleasure of visiting at the weekend — as well as a beautiful and well equipped building, the staff were all super-friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend for events.

Went for a wedding, stunning, olde worldy. Stayed in cottages ; rooms very close but detached from main building. Felt very luxurious for the money £120 with breakfast. Would love to go again. Who's getting married next?

Lovely place, but a little down at heel. The electrics tripped out during the first dance at a wedding I attended, and the photographer said the same happened the week before. A lot of the furniture and fittings are missing bits here and there, and there was a faint whiff of drains around the reception area. Nevertheless the staff were extremely helpful, and it is a very very beautiful place, so I'll still be giving it four stars.

Wow, just wow. Their website and wedding brochure advertise two small rooms available for intimate weddings. However what they don’t state is a MINIMUM £7000 spend for those rooms during ‘peak season’ what a rip off! Stay away!

Stayed here for a wedding. Wedding food was really nice. Bar is a pit pricey for a captive audience. Room and breakfast were lovely. No complaints, just a bit pricey.

Nice hotel with good food good grounds for a walk can book for weddings does have a leisure fitness centre with reflexology massage sport injury ect and business centre it also has a small pool and Heli Pad.

We had our wedding at Miskin Manor two weeks ago and it was brilliant from start to finish.
Emily and Kimberley, the Wedding co ordinators, were very efficient and our day ran smoothly.
The Ceremony and drinks reception were informal — just as we wanted it.
The Wedding breakfast meal was delicious and the portion sizes were excellent.
Nothing was too much trouble for any member of the team and they were all very approachable.
Everything about our day was just perfect. Many wedding guests commented on what a fabulous wedding it was and that they enjoyed every minute of being at the Manor.
We would definitely highly recommend the Manor as a wedding venue — it was amazing!

Stunning hotel! Couldnt have asked for better staff we had an issue with our shower want to tell them and they changed our room straight away! Food was really good loved our room and the grounds are amazing will defiantlygoinf back!

My Wife and I got married here in 2013 so we’re a little biased. We frequent regularly for dinner; overnights and other weddings but our gripe is they charge £50 a night for our black lab to sleep on the floor beside the bed which unfortunately makes us stay at another hotel that only charges £10. If you like gardens, Miskin Manor is surrounded by beautifully groomed gardens, inside you’ll find stags heads, oversized furniture, grand fireplaces, model aeroplanes and sometimes even a helicopter parked outside. It’s like being at Downton Abbey, Betty’s tearooms or Tynetsfield so of course we’d get married here!

We where lost on the dreaded M4 (Friday at 5pm) and seen the sign for Miskin Manor so we pulled off the M4 to get our bearings and have a coffee to calm down. We had a wonderful welcome off the receptionist who helped us find our way. The coffee was served with freshly made biscuits, which where lovely. So on the experience I had, the service was first class.

Mostly great, my girlfriend booked the night for us as two of her friends were staying down from London and she had not seen them for a few months The whole estate and grounds are lovely, old and original, lots of wood cladding. We booked a four poster room which was massive, really big, everything was solid wood and really nice The only downsides were lighting Only 2 small overhead circular spots (the kinds you put in plasterboard in the ceiling) at either end of the room There were also 4 lamps plugged in, inside the room but none of them worked. Our friends had the same issues Then at breakfast it took a while for is to find someone to let us into the breakfast However, the breakfast was good, selection of fruit, cerial, toast and pastries Then table service for hot cooked food.

I attended an event being held in one of the hotels conference/ function rooms. There's a large free car park but anyone has mobility problems they will need to secure a parking place at the top as the car park is on a hill. The staff who greeted the guests were very friendly. There was afternoon tea provided. The cakes were very nice and a plentiful supply for all.

I've been here numerous times, twice for a meal and numerous times for afternoon tea. My partner also used to work here and my sister's fiance and my friend work here. The service from the staff has always been helpful and friendly, the food; although on the pricey side has always been superb. Afternoon tea selections varies on events (they do special ones for certain events-mothers day, Valentine's Day etc) but I've always enjoyed it. The scenery of the grounds is absolutely beautiful, huge fields, lots of flowers and trees. The site offers a gym and health suite also. I would recommend this place.

Lovely wedding and night. Bit disappointed as I went to the bar a few times to be charged three different prices for same drinks. Other than that great.

Went here on the 5 November the rooms where cold told that there weren’t no heating in every room. Even to the point where I had to boil a kettle for a bath and go down stairs in my pjs and tell them at repetition felt really spuid. We where supposed to have had a delivery of chocolates to our room and they didn’t. Very disappointed to the point were we a refund and Signed out an hour early because I couldn’t wait to go out of here quick enough.!

Beautiful afternoon tea. The decor of the Manor is stunning as was the afternoon tea. The staff were attentive to detail and ensured we had plenty of tea and coffee without being a nuisance. If you can go between now and Christmas be sure to see the stunning tree in the lounge. Thanks for a lovely afternoon. Will definitely go back.

Good food. No entertainment not as good as it looks. Room was cold no hot water to the point where I had to boil a kettle to have a bath. I have never experienced anything like this before as a hotel you would expect more. And after half hour of being in our room had to go Down stairs in my pjammers and ask a manager to change rooms and even that was worse than the room we where already in. Was supposed to stay for 2 nights but after that we had a refund.

Beautiful location, staff attending tables and arranging the wedding were wonderful. Reception staff seemed disinterested and detached and did not seem concerned with greeting guests or answering guests questions. Fabulous venue, good access for wheelchairs through corridors and large enough rooms to manoeuvre the chair in. Service from staff was fantastic and the chef delivered a masterpiece. Absolutely stunning day start to finish, by far the best wedding I have ever attended. The unusual alyout for top table was eye-catching and modern. We loved every minute.

Attended wedding on 14/10/2017 warm welcome by very pleasant and we can do staff attitude food excellent rooms very nicely decorated to style of property would recommend hotel to any one looking to hold an event to consider this venue many thank once again.

Old Manor house country hotel. Large rooms with spacious bathrooms. Comfortable and friendly. Huge gardens with forest walks. Spoilt by noise from motorway, interior of hotel is quiet. Wash basins old-fashioned with no mixer taps. Excellent food at banquet.

Where do I start, thank you so much for everything! Got married here on Saturday and everything was perfect from start to finish. Our wedding party literally took over the whole hotel all weekend and nothing was too much trouble. Our guests were absolutely amazed on how lovely this venue is. A special thanks must go out to housekeeping who will never forget the bride running round the morning of the wedding. They were great and the rooms were all spotless! Extra special thank you to Emily and Kimberly. Ladies you were so in control all weekend and anyone will tell you I am hard to please and you excelled all my expectations. So thank you again.

We had the best 3 course lunch here today, I can not recommend it enough.
Staff are so lovely and attentive. The chef is top class, the food was out of this world. We cannot wait to return.

We had our wedding at Miskin Manor on 28 August and we cannot praise the staff enough. We had the most wonderful day from beginning to end! The wedding breakfast room was set up to perfection with absolute seamless change over of the display. Nothing was too much trouble and they showed a lot patience when we ran behind schedule when taking photos. A special thank you to Emily and Stuart for making our day so very special! Highly recommend as a wedding venue, and I'm sure all of our guests will agree!

Only attended a wedding evening here so use of facilities was minimal. Setting was beautiful, public rooms lovely. Bar prices a little steep (as mormal), buffet tasty and interesting. Ladies toilets need updating.

High Tea, more like High School! The sandwiches tasted of nothing, cut into fingers and basic such as egg, cheese, tuna. Nothing special, it was like a packed lunch. The cakes were nothing spectacular and the waitress agreed that the sandwiches were basic. Raised the issue with "Nelson" apparently a manager who said that apparently were were given an option to change them on the day, this simply didn't happen. In addition, although we complained on the day, apparently Nelson can't deal with it there and then, you have to send an email. Is he really a manager? Avoid for £18.50 much better places around with more class!

I did not stay in the hotel. I visited the Health Club to view it and sign up as a member. They were helpful at the reception and offered to show me around which was useful. They then showed me a discount I was eligible for as a student which saves me quite a bit of money so I was happy to sign up. Lovely facilities, great classes on offer, friend staff.

Met a friend for lunch. We wanted to sit at a table rather than eat in a comfy chair with a low coffee table. We ate in the restaurant. One other couple had afternoon tea at lunchtime. So only two covers in the restaurant. We had to wait in the bar area to look at the menu. We could hardly hear ourselves speak because of the noise of the ice machine being used to make ice for a wedding party.
We chose our food but then we're told that only one portion was available. That was a vegetarian option. Fortunately neither of us was vegetarian otherwise it would have been difficult to serve us. The noise was so bad that we went into the restaurant uninvited.
The waitress seemed rather flummoxed initially and was very apologetic about the noise and the food choice. We wondered whether we had made a mistake in going there for lunch!
When the food finally came it was hot, tasty and most enjoyable. Maybe the Parma ham around the chicken was a little dry and maybe the baby leeks were stringy but the chicken was moist and tender and the boulangere potatoes were lovely. My companion was happy with the vegetable Wellington. The desserts were very good and the citrus pannacotta outstanding.
Our waitress was very friendly and was relaxed after the initial problems. Hotel policy meant that she hadn't sampled any of the food herself which seems a shame as this often helps diners with food choices.

Comfortable rooms. Relaxing lounge. Excellent gym. Beautiful grounds. No air con and motorway is audiblebut not pound enough to be a problem.

A country house hotel with charm but not finish. Miskin Manor is a Victorian house built in a Tudor style — a strange mixture made stranger by being furnished in a variety of styles from medieval to 20th century. They really should pick a period and stick with it. There are nice flourishes — stuffed animal heads and whitewashed walls, wooden panelling and comfy sofas. The staff were friendly and the food was very decent. The gardens look as delightful as they are in the photographs but there is a big caveat: the noise from the motorway, about 200 metres away, is loud and constant. I wish them well — they do a good job in a difficult building — and hope that its interior design might become a bit more coherent in future.

What a beautiful place for anything. We just popped in for a Saturday morning coffee at eleven. Gorgeous surroundings also. It's a tad more expensive than your usual coffee house but you don't get the beautiful scenery there. It's always nice to spoil yourself now and again. Well worth a visit! :-)

I stayed at this hotel or four months this year and I can tell you it's totally rubbish. Poorly trained staff, ignorant of even the basics, the manageress Anca is a nasty Eastern European terrapin of a woman — mean and venal. She suits the cold and draughty place. Receptionists Liz and Joyce are the exceptions. The restaurant is really bad and variable quality. The bar and beer is basic — the barman didn't know what Merlot was! and kir royales are made from 'black currant cordial' all said with a unhealthy dose of arrogance and greed that shows off the incompetent and uncaring management — although they know the colour of a tenner quickly enough. Rooms are big for sure but not really fit the price tag or hype — similarly the way the hotel calls itself a spa is a total joke — they're unconnected in reality and are more a minor beauty shop than an 'elegant spa' do not be fooled by the advertising, please! Through all of this — the building and gardens have character — that's the good point — and the gym is passable, the pool and other facilities laughable because of size and poor maintenance. All in all if you're a couple looking for a nice weekend or passing tourists avoid it like the plague — if you're getting married — maybe as its got kerb appeal. Its just typical of its location — pretty rough and not kind but still focuses on the cash thanks very much. I would never go back and regret staying as long!

Went to a wedding here. Fantastic venue. Had a couple of issues in the lodge we used but the staff helped quickly and we had a great time.

We went for the Christmas Fare, bit busy and cramped but a lovely place.

My family hired the Cellar Room at Miskin Manor and it was a great place to get a family get together with enough space for our younger members of the family to run around. The food was good and the staff were friendly too.
