Loved the Victorian baths and the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Would definitely return.

I cannot recommend this place enough. We have now stayed twice, once a romantic break for me & my husband’s anniversary, then returned for Christmas with the family, and it was just magical. Also being disabled & chronic illness, they were so accommodating & nothing was too much trouble, will be back soon.

We have just spent 2 nights here. Which we won on a competition. EVERYTHING was 100% We had an amazing afternoon tea yesterday afternoon (Saturday) AMY was an outstanding waitress couldn’t be any more hopeful & professional when we were having our afternoon tea. There’s nothing we could fault from checking in to checking out. All the staff are warm welcoming everywhere in the hotel!

My parents have just had a lovely 2 night stay in one of the signature double rooms. It was absolutely beautiful, they want to thank staff members Callum, Graham & Adam who went above and beyond during there stay 👏 well done guys from Jock & Isobel, they said your service was amazing 👏 breakfast and meals were top notch, would definitely recommend this hotel and they look forward their next stay.

Just home after a fantastic meal to celebrate our granddaughters 16th birthday in the terrace. Served by fantastic staff.

Lovely two days and a night spent at the Hydo with my husband. All the staff were lovely, attentive without being overbearing. The room was clean, roomy and comfortable. The food in The Terrace was great and breakfast in the Meikle was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. The only slight issue we had was a computer error with pending payments for booked activities but Daniel on reception sorted it all for us with no fuss. Hope to return again in the future.

Fabulous place lovely staff breakfast great apt lovely plenty to do only disappointment was paying £200 for 2 nights extra for 2 small dogs that's the most ever been charged for dogs in Scotland.

Good for kids during the day. Nothing on in the evenings though for them. The Terrace food and service was by far the best during our stay.

Love this place, can’t wait to return at Easter. Desperately hoping the Meikle restaurant will be open on an evening. Best place for family breaks The staff are so lovely to my kids. The amenities are broad ranging. The views on the walks/horse treks are incredible. It’s clean, it’s special.

This is my first visit to Crieff Hydro and we were made to feel very welcome. All the staff were polite, professional and very friendly. The food was amazing and it was very well priced. The free childcare was a definite plus and my kids enjoyed it very much. They also got to go to the activity glen and had a brilliant time there. Wish we could spend more time there! Just home from an amazing, family break. All staff were very friendly and helpful before and during our stay. Adhering to current guidelines, it was a very organised visit, as I booked swimming sessions, activities and restaurants beforehand using the app. Hope to visit again soon. A wonderful family-friendly hotel, combining luxury with a relaxed atmosphere. A beautiful setting, a wide range of activities and entertainment for all ages — if the weather’s bad you could happily holiday just in the hotel! Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Very mixed feelings about our experience here yesterday. I visited with my mum, sister and daughter so bring her to see Santa and the reindeer. Whilst the place was looking very festive, the organisation of the kids activities could have been better. There was no signage anywhere to tell you where to go so I had to ask multiple people where to check in for the reindeer experience, and still wasn’t any further forwards. The reindeer were lovely, although in the advertisement stated there would be a walk around with the reindeer which there wasn’t as they are both pregnant. Basically we paid £10 to hear some facts about reindeer which we couldn’t really go anywhere near. The production around the Santa’s grotto was fab, the little one loved it. The elves and Santa were very good, funny and entertaining and I definitely felt this was good value for money. What upset me about this experience though was that nowhere was it stated that only two adults could do in per child, this really should have been stated online when booking to avoid confusion. The lady organising all this was very curt and rude with us when we questioned this and outright lied to my mum when we saw other families were allowed a 3rd adult in. Not impressed with the service received from this lady at all. The restaurant/cafe was disappointing. I had expected more of the eating options to be open as the website doesn’t state that this was the only one that would be open.

Thought there was a very festive atmosphere this afternoon. Lovely to see it so busy again after all these months. Only disappointment was that the Restaurant Manager in the Winter Garden did not know what flavour the muffins were! Still had a great time.

Hands down the best Santa experience I’ve ever been to. It was really magical and we were made to feel so special. Very entertaining elves, loved getting a wee song and dance. Santa was wonderful. Really impressive thank you. Well worth it especially in these times where we could all use a sprinkle of magic in our lives.

Just returned from a couple of nights away at this lovely family hotel. From the moment we arrived to when we left we were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We were allocated a lovely spacious and clean family room in the main house which was perfect for us. We did encounter a bit of noise from our neighbours, however this was swiftly dealt with by the efficient staff on Reception.
We dined both nights in the brasserie and the food was lovely and the service friendly and efficient, our wee girl was well looked after. We even got a visit from the Hotel GM who checked in with us to ensure we were having a nice stay which was very much appreciated. We loved our walks around the grounds and the new adventure park was a hit with our daughter, in fact she would have stayed there all day if she could.
Overall highly recommended for a family staycation during these different and difficult times. Every area of the property was covid-19 prepared and we felt very safe and secure.

Incredible resort. We have stayed on many occasions both in the hotel and in the lodges. Service and amenities are second to none. Breakfast cannot be beaten.

Nice lunch at Hydro but only disappointment was Wilma my partner had the roast beef and could not eat it as it wasn't good however I had the roast pork and it was outstanding.
Explained to the young waitress when paying the bar bill but was not really interested and did say she was sorry but that was that and off we went. The meal on the whole was good but spoilt by the beef we noticed older lady taking hers back the hot plate.

Great place for families to share activities and relax. Staff were extremely helpful and very good service within the restaurants for food allergies. Special thanks to Naomi in the brassiere for her efficient yet relaxed approach to providing a milk free meal for my teenager. Unfortunately when we were there it was poor weather. Would definitely like to return to take full advantage of the outdoor activities on offer.

My daughter took me for an overnight stay, 2 hours in the spa, a facial (including a free gift of face and body products). The breakfast was included in the cost and was fantastic, not only in taste but in the amount of choice. We also treated ourselves to a meal in The Brasserie which was superb and followed that with a relaxing couple of drinks in the adults only Meikle bar. The room was very comfortable and spacious and the Arran aromatics toiletries were lovely (coincidentally my favourite scent). Over and above all of this a special mention has to go to the staff. Every one without exception were efficient, friendly courteous and made our stay all the more special. Can’t wait to go back again!

Staff are fantastic and could not do enough to make our stay better. Extra special mention to the fantastic childcare facility, the team in there were just brilliant with the kids. Just back from my sisters hen do! We had an amazing time at creiff hydro. The lodges were lovely and the activities were fab. The staff really made the whole experience noah and duncan set up its a knockout obstacle course they were so friendly made us all feel at ease and made the whole thing a giggle from start to finish. George helped us during the cocktail making class he was an absolute gentleman made it fun interesting and was really polite. The staff who served us during our private dining experience were amazing too. They were so attentive nothing was a bother and they made sure everything ran smoothly. 16 girls were on the hen and we have all said we will be back!

We’ve stayed here a few times and loved it! Not so much this time. We were staying in lodge 86, we didn’t really enjoy our stay. Unfortunately when we arrived our son took unwell and was quite sick so naturally when we went in to the bathroom I lifted both pans on the toilet seat to find rememants of someone else’s toilet activity smeared around the rim, ofcourse I cleaned it all away as my son was unwell but this would not be my standard of cleanliness in my home let alone this hotel in a room we paid £219 for. Secondly my husband and I slept in the sofa bed since our children were not well, which in itself is a total pain and really heavy to move around to set up, not to mention how incredibly uncomfortable the sofa bed is, we may as well have been lying on a hard floor! I did mention all this to the guy on reception to which he said oh sorry. Not interested at all! the facilities are great for children & we’ve also recommended to friends. But the staff and standards are not great. I feel because Crieff is such a busy place there’s just no personal touch or care any more, no one well really cares because your making so much money what’s one guest complaint? But judging by all the reviews I’ve seen the standards are most certainly slipping! I don’t expect a reply either but I’ve stayed in lots of other hotels for much less and had a much better experience!

I can't rate this hotel highly enough. There is lots to do here, wether you want an active stay or a relaxed one the is plenty to choose from to keep you happy. We had a two night stay here. On the first night we had dinner in the restaurant, I'd recommend going early as it gets quiet later on in the evening, when we left at 9 there were only a handful of guests still in the restaurant. There is good evening entertainment available in the hotel, there is a good selection of live music most nights. If you want to take in some of the activities on offer, I'd recommend you book early as they tend to fill up quickly and you can easily miss out.

I never got much sleep at all because my room was next to an outbuilding with a very noisy extractor fan which went on 24.7. I'm sure the owners have had plenty of complaints about this but to no avail. Visited "the hub" for a meal and had to ask for clean cutlery as what was on offer was covered in someone else's food. Overpriced average food. Staff great though, so helpful. So to sum up, great, helpful staff, management not so great. Crieff hydro not all its cracked up to be. Won't be back and will definitely not recommend unless you make positive changes.

Lovely stay. Nice room. Best massage ever. Friendly helpful staff throughout. Lost point only due to creaky floorboards in some parts of hotel corridors etc.

Very professional and efficient staff nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent. Room was brilliant. Child friendly hotel has trampolines. Would recommend to anyone even have rooms which you can take your dog.

Positives 1. Many in-house activities for adults and kids. On rainy days we could keep ourselves occupied for the whole day. 2. Kids friendly place 3. Decent restaurants To be improved 1. Dirt absorbing carpet everywhere. Very old fashioned interior. Lot to be improved to fill in indoor light. 2. Shoddy house keeping. Stained duvet covers, blood stained pillow, torn towels and dirty stained toilets are what's left after supposed to be cleaning session (see pics)

I booked an executive studio for 4. (2 kids and 2 adults). On the website it stated that the check in time was 2pm but we were told that it was in fact between 2pm and 11pm and it would be free only when the room was cleaned. We got access at 2.30 pm but they need to be clearer. When we entered the studio, it smelled of number 2. I can only assume there was a family with a toddler in the studio before us. When we prepared the beds in the evening for the kids, there were no covers or sheets downstairs so we had to phone reception to get some We have visited the hydro multiple times and I can say that we felt let down this time. I don't think we will come back. £500 for a weekend is a lot so I expect perfection for this price.

Place is an absolute joke! Me and my partner just left here. We came for a nights break we went on the quads which was great the staff there were amazing then we went to the Victorian spa which u had to pay which u ate not told about it was alright but the Jacuzzi wasn't on only down side to it after we left the spa around the back of 8 went and got ready to go for a late tea as our day had been busy with the quad biking so thought well go to spa then go for tea only to find out once we were ready all the kitchens were closed and they could not do anything baring in mind we had paid £50 for our food and drinks which we got nothing and we were NOT informed that food stops at 9pm go we drove in to creiff for everything to be closed except Indians which I don't eat or say can't eat… so we tried room service to be told there ls only chicken curry which again I can't eat or salmon sandwiches which yet again I don't like fish so 3am I finally got toast which was stone cold by the time we got to sleep it was 5am broken sleep all night the bed was 2 single beds pushed together very uncomfortable woken up at 11am missed breakfast the lot then to find out the £50 we paid on check in was non refundable then to find out they charged £66 for horse riding my partner had cancelled yesterday at 6pm! The manager didn't give a shit and the staff on reception were arrogant but where nice on check in so a waste of £500!

Joke of a hotel for the money u pay staff walking in room. While I'm getting changed no knock on the door first. Uncomfy single beds pushed together. Plus took 50 extra of my card. Just in case them told us at check out we won't get back for 3 to 5 days and assured we were told this but weren't. Also nothing on website about this
Had to pay for spa which there is also no mention of would not have minded if I knew in advance and had a choice this was ment to be a birthday treat for me I'm 8 month preg and had a terrible time there. Lack of information also and no book in room with Information in it regarding times of food things like that. Felt like it's all about the money for them more a family holiday camp than luxury spa hotel as it's made out to be Rooms old n dated floors in hall uneven uncomfy pillows on bed and uncomfy bed Breakfast was a joke potatoe scones not cooked properly sausages were over cooked and horrible not a nice experience could think of better ways to spend over 200 pound. One thing I will say was dinner was amazing but we used there sister hotel for dinner at Murray park hotel where staff were lovely and attentive defo do not recommend this hotel Still. Waiting on a manager call back as the assistant manager on duty on the day we left was useless.

Came here for a friend's hen party afternoon, we did shooting the 2 young guys were super really knew their stuff and made our experience really good fun, lunch was super. Our Segway experience was great too and of course the cocktail making was very good and we got to drink the cocktails we made! Great fun day. Would recommend.

Really enjoyed our night at the Crieff Hydro. Staff who waited on us in the Piccolo restraunt were friendly, efficient and really helpful. Our meal was delicious. Breakfast was busy but service was brisk and the selection on offer was fantastic. My only tiny niggle was there was a lack of signage on the approach to the hotel and in the grounds. The main road was closed for repairs and we ended up approaching from the rear car park and there were no signs for reception. This wouldn't have been a problem for returning guests but we ended up getting a bit lost with our luggage. Would happily return and stay here again. There was lots to do and see.

Great facilities and activities but hammered room and accommodation makes £180 a night B&B for a family of 3 seem expensive rather than good value. Swimming and leisure club free, as is kids club. Many activities extra. Horse riding great fun, £28 for half an hour. All in all well designed family holiday for all but don't expect brand new luxury.

Just back from another amazing stay at Crieff Hydro. We stayed for 1 night. Everything from start to finish was amazing. The staff are so helpful and friendly. This is the 4th time we have been and we love it. The Victorian Spa is amazing value at £10. I have seen comments with people moaning that they have to pay for an adults only pool however although this is an adults only pool (with sauna, steam room and jaccuzi plus you get fruit, biscuits, juice and tea or coffee) it is an experience a bit of luxury. Not many hotels offer adults only pools anyway. The other pool, that anyone can use, is very good too. It also has jaccuzi, sauna and steam room.
The restaurants are all great and staff so helpful.
Staff are keen and eager to sort any problems so if you have any issues ask them do not leave it until end of stay.
We had freedom dining which is amazing value.
The cinema is great too and free which is even better.
Will defo be back.

I attended with a friend who was there to book a 50 person dinner for an upcoming big birthday. We had lunch in the brasserie. Big mistake. Firstly I asked about the soup of the day. None of the staff knew not even the person in charge, her demeanour of disinterest was palpable. She clearly didn't know what food they were serving. On its own no biggie. We were then served warm water to have with lunch. My starter was mackerel. OK but served with an apple concoction that tasted of wet dishcloth. My companion had pate, a massive thick slab served on a modest piece of bread (1). Totally inelegant. Obviously a substantial amount of pate was left so more toast was called for. One even smaller piece arrived so ultimately half of the pate was left. My main course was undercooked fish which was returned uneaten. No mention of removing it from the bill despite complaints. If it had been my bill I would have insisted on it being removed. My host was far more gracious than I and simply paid. All in all the experience was dreadful and will make me twice about returning. I had intended that my father and I would book in for a mini break over the aforementioned birthday. The 50 person dinner was not booked that day. Hopefully we will be going somewhere else.

Very nice place to stay. Lots of activities to do for children including child care. Breakfast very good and all restaurants serve good quality food. Rooms very comfortable and maintained to a high standard. Gym and swimming facilities very good. Not really any downsides apart from if it's your first visit book everything, activities, dinner etc in advance and be prepared to hunt for everything, it's all over. Its on the expensive side with a 2 night family stay costing in excess of £600.00.

Great place. Amazing kids activities. Pony ride for my 3 year old, was only topped by Mario kart! Soft play slide is a bit insane tho. Almost vertical! Bouncy castle etc was great. Loads of indoor space to run around even if its too wet outside. And a wee trip down to Campbell's bakery is also highly recommended.

The milk in the rooms was expired, cleanliness is not bad although it can improve.

Outstanding accommodation as always. A bit manic at changeover times, long reception ques and no parking spaces causing double parking. I do expect a bit better… not good if emergency vehicles are required. Dogs welcome in the out of hotel accommodation which is great but very few dog bins and nowhere to put your dog if you want to go into the hotel for a fine cup of tea. But it is a fine cup of tea!

Having been before and really enjoyed by visit, I was looking forward to this one which was a family visit. We arrived early as the children were seeing Santa and were told at this time that our room would be ready at 2pm. At this time we asked what our allowances were for the children's meals as we had gone dinner, bed and breakfast. At this time we were informed that adults got £21 and our son got £4. My wife asked if we got any more a we had paid £20 to accommodate our baby (which got us a travel cot in our room) and were told no. I did wonder if we had two older children that we would have got a 4 bed room and an extra meal allowance for both for the same money. At 2pm my wife went to check in, only to be told we would have to wait for another hour before our room was ready. So another hour was wasted with a child and baby waiting to get to our room. Finally we got to our room. Possibly the furthest away in a part that had bleach stained carpets in the halls and needed to use a lift or stairs for the pram each time we went up. The room itself was clean and tidy and well presented. My son had been looming forward to going to the swimming pool so we headed down to that. While I watched my son in the pool, I ended up with other kids wanting to play as their parents obviously thought looking after their kids was optional. Finally fed up, I swapped with my wife to look after the baby in the little pool. This was a big mistake as some child had managed a code brown in the pool.

The cozy cabin we stayed in was really nice, not too far from the hotel and facilities. It had everything we needed. One downside was some of the restaurants were closed to accommodate Christmas parties, which is what the staff were mainly dealing with, however that's what is expected this time of year, I would recommend the cabins and would go back one day.

The location and outdoor activities on offer are really good — the treetop adventure is excellent for the whole family and the walks around the hotel are just beautiful. The hotel lets itself down in a couple of ways — they fail to make the most of Scottish produce — this could make the restaurants higher quality by amending the menus and sourcing their ingredients locally. The rooms are also quite stuffy and too warm and I just didn’t enjoy the breakfasts which were very busy and (again) food tasted like no-one had taken care of where the food was sourced from. Other than that, a great place to come for a family weekend away, particularly with younger kids.

Excellent weekend break. Daughter loved the swimming pool, soft play and the bouncy castle. Food and service and the brasserie was spot on. Lunch in the winter garden was relaxed.

My girlfriend and I took a long weekend trip to the Crieff Hydro for a little break away / fun. The hotel was fantastic, the food was good and the activities were great. The only flaw was a problem with the electronics in the bedroom that couldn't be fixed (which wasn't a big deal, it was the attitude of the guy sent to fix it we weren't a fan of). The hotel gifted us use of their luxury spa / pool in compensation. We'll be going back in a couple of months.

Coming here last 7 years. Our kids love it. Will probably come next 7 years as well. Last visit. Shine came off a little. Staff not so attentive. Asked for 5 towels for room as 5 of us. We are still waiting on the towels after 2 phone calls and a visit to reception.

Have stayed here a number of times. Great attentive staff food excellent alcohol a little on the expensive side but thats to be expected in this type of place. Location is superb and the surrounding grounds are really nice and well looked after. Perfect place for a mini break weekend spa is really nice and a decent sized pool. Some of the older rooms are in need of upgrading but by and large you will not be disappointed with this hotel.

A welcoming, family friendly hotel with lots to do. Some great walks and a good play area as well as plenty of choice of food. On my particular stay, there was an issue with the room (a lot of noise nearby and a very light sleeper), but we were assigned a new room quickly and without fuss. Many compliments to Laura and the rest of the helpful staff who made our stay as relaxing as we'd hoped.

Lovely hotel, great amenities, great location, loads of activities to choose from (or do nothing if you prefer). Staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. Will no doubt return with the family next time. Highly recommended!

Four night stay in a self catering lodge. Been here twice before, love it. Great facilities and plenty for kids as we have a 2 year old. Love the gym, pool and italian restaurant in particular. We were here last year and will come back they do some great deals. Friendly and helpful staff make the experience even better. Highly recommended.

Beautiful location, roorm was very high standard and breakfast very good. We didn't get to try the facilities as the weather was wretched outside and the spa fully booked, a little disappointed but next time we'll visit in better weather. The bar was a bit small for the size of the establishment and was filled (about 20 or so seats) so we couldn't sit for a drink after our dinner. Overall very good though.

We had an awful time at Crieff Hydro We had a meal in the brassier and our desert cheese cake was served still frozen we asked for it to be returned only to find the same dish reappear it appeared that as the decoration and carnish was missing the contents had been removed heated and scopped back into the dish and returned to us Dreadful food hygenie rejected food should be rejected and a fresh meal served its basic. In the morning the so called hot buffet was cold and the counter assistant was seen wiping the counters into the food and not away from the containers my wife found a piece of plastic and reported it only to find the assistant picking it out with her fingers MMM We complained about our cold breakfast to a waiter who had difficulty understanding us and was seen talking to the chef who then started ranting in a foreign language at the waiter no apology to us the customer or fresh breakfast offered. I honestly have had a better service at travel lodge. The "luxury Spa" which is an extra £10 per person was awful there was a clearly visible sheen on the water and a scum line which is supposed to be cleaned before guests are allowed into the pool when we complained and mentioned the water quality the pool supervisor said he hadn't had time to clean it "this morning" Needless to say most of my family came down with stomach bugs I am still feeling unwell some days later.

Complete rip off, filthy hotel. Stayed over New Year. It was a complete con. I have subsequently read all the over 60 terrible reviews on Trip advisor of this awful place — there are over 150 poor reviews for this place too. Expect the good ones were written by the shareholders (some present at new year — funny old thing). The hotel management are completely superficial with their remarks — its a place making money out of people pure and simple. Don't believe what they tell you is included on the phone — they'll charge you three times over when you get there! Want advise. Stay well clear of this place unless you want to get sick (norovirus) and be utterley ripped off. Ignore the glossy marketing and exclusivity they proclaim on their website — its rubbish, coach tours on dirt cheap rates fill out the place. This place should be reported to trading standards. DONT GO! — Read all the terrible and poor reviews seriously! WISH I HAD.

Loved the place! Had an absolute amazing time with my gf. There were so many activities — Loved horse riding and the staff were lovely. The swimming pool was beautiful and enjoyed every bit of our stay. We ordered takeaway from SUMEru Indian Restaurant and the food was absolutely delightful. The staff who took the order gave us good guide on the food and the food was delivered very fast. Overall this trip to Crieff was just amazing and hope we will come back again.

Very expensive weekend for a bed and shower. Coffee in the room is undrinkable, food in the Brassiere was overpriced and not freshly prepared. Breakfast was cold and not very tasty and the bacon was terrible. Just not a brilliant experience as you would expect from what you pay.

We went for a weekend with a small wedding party and I cannot fault the desk staff for bending over backwards to help with all the fine details. The choice of activities was excellent and the staff that run them were fun and enthusiastic which made the weekend enjoyable and very memorable. However. Our room was basic and comfortable, It was sold as a suite, but it was a basic Hotel room. It was far from clean with so much dust I found myself congested the following day. Room service was awful. We returned to our room at 1.30pm to find a member of staff still in there, but took ourselves down the corridor to allow them to finish as we did indeed want our room serviced. The results were not satisfactory. The floor was left un-hoovered, the bottom bed sheet was not properly pulled across the bed and towels I had left in the bath to be replaced (only 2 of them) were hung back over the towel rail and not fit to be used the following day. I did note earlier in the morning bedroom doors propped wide open with no staff in them and it was obvious the room was still occupied. This is an awful situation for anyone with valuables. On the first night we were sat in the brasserie bar beside the kitchen entrance and a member of staff twice hit the back of my husbands chair with a glass tray from the dishwasher, yet said nothing. During a meal in the Meikle a member of staff bumped into another member of our party and dropped glasses.

I have been to Crieff Hydro many times before but for days to the activity centre to hire segways and quad bikes. I have stayed in the cabins for a hen party week but this was my first stay actually in the hotel. We got a great deal with itison for an overnight stay plus use of the Victorian spa and a bottle of wine. Great value. The hotel has had a boutique hotel style make over and I think they have a great mix of taste and opulence. It feels special but warm and friendly at the same time. Free Wi-Fi in the room — always good A choice of still or sparkling bottles of water in the room complimentary. Really decent bathrooms and the toiletries were from "The white company" which isn't bad at all. There was a choice of restaurant for dinner, we opted for the brasserie which is less formal and had two courses for £20 a head. Plenty of options and decent food. The Victorian Spa was very relaxing and they provide cordials and tea or coffee and fruit along with magazines and day beds to chill out on. You can drive there in under 90 minutes from Edinburgh and feel like you have really had a break away to re-charge your batteries. Keep up the good work guys.

Family surprised me for 60th birthday in September. Wonderful time enjoyed every minute. So much that we are taking 6yr old grandson back for the weekend. No faults. Staff polite and proffesional food superb.
